The Duchy of Hessengard, bereft of its ruler. Two nations coveting it struck a pact: each would send a royal heir to marry, with the successor ruling the duchy. Thus, Erna and Callion came to Hessengard to marry. Their first impression was disastrous.

'Why did it turn out like this?'

She was the woman who always got under his skin. From the moment they first met until now, she never uttered a single kind word, always finding fault over every little thing, never backing down even once, seeing him at the most wretched moments. His wife, whom he never wanted.

'But why...'

Callion held Erna, who slept quietly in his arms. A smile like the one that had appeared on Erna's lips played on his own face.
