I have never heard of a fragment of the ocean splitting or reproducing. That implies that someone must have brought more of these. Of course, it was only natural that someone was Callion. After all, there is only one person in the entire continent who would come and go from this room to retrieve something like this.
'You said there weren't any more.'
She recalled the look on his face when she told him to hand over everything he had last time, as if he were crazy. He insisted to the very end that there was nothing more, but it was obvious to anyone that he was hiding even more.
Erna couldn't go to Callion's room and search it knowing it was there, and since Callion found it himself, she couldn't really say anything, so she had given up on getting any more. To think he suddenly brought four more of these.
'It's not like he left it behind and forgot.'

'It's not like he left it behind and forgot.'
There was no reason for Callion to bring this out and leave it here in the first place. So, no matter how hard she tried to be suspicious, it was certain that he had given it to her.
Erna looked at the piece of the ocean, making a rattling sound in her hand. The blue light, sparkling in the morning sunlight, was incredibly radiant.
"It is pretty."
As Erna gazed at the light, she realized that this blue color resembled something she often saw. What was that again?
“...!”
At that moment, it came to mind. The blue eyes that had been staring straight at her all night. The way their curves curved softly whenever she moved, and how they narrowed whenever she let out a moan.
"Ugh..."
Erna slumped back onto the bed and closed her eyes. It was fine that she thought the color was pretty, but why did Callion's eyes keep coming to mind right after? As she tried to sit up again, Erna realized her lower back ached, and she couldn't muster any strength. It was no wonder.
'I really worked like crazy.'
She remembered up to three times, but after that, only fragments of her memory came to mind, as if someone had cut them with scissors.
Erna fumbled at her lower body, which was starting to sting slightly. Last night, Callion had tormented her lower body with his tongue like a madman. Thanks to that, Erna had to reach her climax several times while whimpering with embarrassment. After a long time, when her lower body was completely loosened up, Callion lifted Erna's legs, wrapped them around his waist, and slowly attempted to penetrate her.
What she would normally have accepted with a little pain entered smoothly and effortlessly. Perhaps that was the reason. The moment Callion touched the tip of Erna, that alone caused Erna to reach a climax once again.
“Do you realize you’re incredibly sensitive right now?”
The way Callion grinned as he spoke was somehow irritating. Considering he had been panting beneath her just moments ago. As Erna glared at him while breathing heavily, the corners of Callion's mouth curled up even higher, as if finding it amusing. So, feeling Callion's presence inside her, Erna tightened her grip. At that, Callion's smiling face froze.
“You, really...”
She thinks that was probably when they both started craving each other like crazy.
Erna, who had been debating whether to go back under the covers, struggled to get up. The room remained quiet, and the door connecting to Callion's room was firmly closed. It didn't seem like Callion would be returning. Suddenly, the room felt incredibly quiet and spacious. Could it really feel this different just because there was no one else around?
'But it was a bit strange.'
Erna pressed the back of her hand against her cheek. She had let it slide that they were so close it was hard to tell if they were fighting or just making love. But yesterday, strangely enough, Callion kept pressing his lips against hers. Every time he did, Erna turned her head away to avoid his kiss. It was a mystery. Why was the touch of lips more embarrassing than the act of making flesh and pressing their bellies together?
So she pushed him away time and time again, but Callion persistently fondled her neck and chest with his lips, as if to say that if she disliked his face, he would do it somewhere else. Yet, his lower body never rested. Erna flaunted her embrace around Callion's neck and moved in sync with his movements.
Perhaps that was why Callion was more intense than usual, and Erna endured him from beneath him until the end.
Then, when they finally reached the end, Callion held Erna tightly and poured his full essence deep inside her. Just as their rough breathing had barely subsided, she thought Callion would let go, but far from doing so, he turned over while still holding Erna. Suddenly lying on Callion's body as if it were a bed, Erna tried to move to get off, but Callion did not release his arms from her embrace. Finally, completely exhausted, Erna gave up trying to break free and slumped limply onto his body, at which point Callion stroked her head as if to say, "Good job."
At that touch, Erna unconsciously closed her eyes and quietly surrendered her body to him. The hand that had been stroking her head for a long time moved down to her back and patted slowly. Feeling that, Erna fell asleep just like that.
“...”
Erna looked at the fragment of the ocean in her hand. The fact that he gave this to her... was it the price for yesterday? That she did well? Was it fun?
“Not something like this...”
You should have at least given me some water when I woke up.
For some reason upset that Callion was not by her side, Erna got out of bed and headed to her room. After putting the piece of the ocean she was holding into her desk drawer and washing up, when she came out, Orpheus had entered her room.
"Did you wake up?"
“Uh-huh.”
Even after washing, Erna still felt dizzy. On top of that, her neck and shoulders felt stiff and wouldn't move properly. As Erna turned her shoulder with a grim expression, Orpheus, who had been watching her for a moment, went out to get a meal and returned much later, pulling a cart loaded with several trays.
“No, how much did you do... No, you look really unwell, so I thought you should eat well and brought plenty for you.”
Orpheus seemed to be enjoying herself as she said that.
“Do you like it that much that I’m sick?”
“What do you mean, it’s good? I brought this because I was worried about you.”
Erna watched the food Orpheus was neatly setting out in front of her. As a subordinate who had worked under Erna for such a long time, Orpheus knew exactly what she liked. Cleanly washed and cut fruit, thick yogurt topped with plenty of honey and nuts, and crunchy vegetables. Next to them, freshly baked bread was giving off a savory aroma.
It was a table full of things that even Erna, who usually disliked eating much, would eagerly reach for. However, Erna took a bite of bread, put it back down, took a few sips of juice, and did not move her hands again.
“Lady Erna? What is it?”
As Erna did not eat any more and just stared at the table, Orpheus approached with a worried look on her face.
"For some reason, it’s not going down well."
At those words, Orpheus slightly turned her head and glared toward the direction of Callion's room.
In fact, Orpheus already knew from the moment she saw Erna that the two of them must have been something intense last night. Erna was always full of energy. Yet now, that same Erna was staggering so much that her hand holding the spoon was trembling uncontrollably. The reason Orpheus didn't run to Callion and grab him by the collar was not so much that he was a Grand Duke, but that Erna didn't dislike him that much.
'No, on the contrary...'
Although she looked weary, Erna's expression had softened lately. At the very least, it certainly wasn't that Callion was forcing anything upon her. Still, he should have stopped it!
As Orpheus glared over the wall, Erna asked with a puzzled look.
“Orpheus? What’s wrong?”
"No, it's nothing."
Orpheus, having quickly averted her gaze, poured tea for Erna, who was having trouble eating, and reported what had happened during the night.
"The Marquis of Carnarvon is still swollen, and the delegation wants to send a letter to Havand as soon as possible. So, it seems the remaining members of the knight plan to escort them to the border region."
“What do you mean, the remaining Knights?”
“Ah, Grand Duke Callion went out again this morning to hunt monsters. I meant the remaining Knights who did not participate in the hunt.”
At Orpheus's words, Erna realized why Callion was not there when she woke up.
“Where is it this time? How many monsters are there? And what kinds?”
“Uh... please wait a moment!”
Erna was someone who usually just nodded in acknowledgment when told the Knights had gone out to hunt monsters, never asking any further questions. However, when she suddenly asked back, Orphe hurriedly rushed to her desk to check the report that had arrived that morning. Meanwhile, Erna fidgeted nervously, waiting for Orphe to speak.
It was nothing new for Callion to set out to exterminate monsters. Wasn't it his duty as a Grand Duke? Yet, why was she particularly concerned this time?
"There aren't many monsters, but they are flying types. They seem to be quite tricky, which is why Grand Duke Callion went to investigate personally."
“Where is the place?”
“The place is... I hear it is the Forest of Irgis.”
Irgis's Forest. Erna could immediately recall where that was. It was because of Irgis's Forest that she had her first proper conversation with Callion while they were spending an awkward time together in the couple's bedroom.
At first, she told him to hurry up and find it and sit down because he was being distracting, but the next day, the two of them had a serious conversation in front of the map about the Forest of Irgis and its surroundings. Then she also realized that Callion was answering quite detailed and diligently, more than she had expected.
“...”
Erna rested her chin on her hand for a moment, lost in thought. If he had gone to hunt monsters, he wouldn't be back for another few days. In that case, she would be able to rest at night. But...
She thought of the chill of the bed where she lay all alone when she woke up in the morning. And the lack of a response even when she called his name. Erna asked Orpheus.
"Flying monsters would be dangerous, right?"
“Of course it would be dangerous. But if it’s Grand Duke Callion, there’s no problem...”
“No, I think Callion would be in danger too.”
"Yes?"
"Besides, our wizards don't have much experience fighting flying monsters. I was actually thinking we needed some practice at least once, and it just so happens that one appeared."
“...”
“So, I think it would be good to go help out... what do you think?”
Orpheus could only nod at the question, which seemed to have a predetermined answer.
