THYU - Chapter 41

When Winter came to her senses, he was in his room at the hotel.

When he looked outside, the sun was high in the sky, and there was an IV in his arm. When he realized that the watch was missing from his wrist, he quickly got up. Fortunately, Hayel, who knew how much Winter valued the watch that Violet gave him, put it on the nightstand and was able to find it right away.

Winter muttered as he put his watch back on.

"This is truly absurd."

He doesn't know if it was because he was shocked that Violet died in front of him, or because he was so stupid and felt shame for thinking that it wasn't too late, or because she thought his presence was hell and left. It was absolutely absurd that he had collapsed like this.

Hayel, who had been checking in and out frequently to see if Winter was awake, ran to him as soon as he entered the bedroom.

"Ah, CEO!"

"Noisy."

Winter frowned. Havel let out a sigh of relief, glad to see even his annoyance.

"Do you know how surprised everyone was? A person who never caught a cold collapsed?"

"How long has it been?"

"One day. You lay there for nineteen hours."

"It's because I took sleeping pills."

Winter answered half-heartedly and got straight to the point.

"What about Violet?"

Hayel answered calmly as if he knew that Winter would ask that question.

"Ah, first of all, she boarded the Duchy of Dos' ship. I will continue to check the destination."

"She'll get caught right away, that Princess."

"No. The CEO told me to know everything about Little Madam's personal relationships. I went to Mrs. Enna Tesia Ogel's painter and searched step by step, and soon I found the answer."

"Once you find the location, choose someone in the area and pay them to take care of Violet secretly."

"Yes. and..."

When Hayel hesitated on whether or not he should say this, Winter scolded him.

"Don't hesitate, if you have something to say, say it."

"The Little Lady sold all the things she had received and left money."

"She left money?"

"In addition, she recovered the Long Lywood land document and left it so that ownership could be transferred immediately once the representative signed."

Winter was so shocked that he laughed.

"Is she that sick of it?"

Hayel seemed to have decided to dispose of everything in one go, so he handed him a letter.

"And she also left a letter."

Winter took the letter.

Dear Winter Blooming.

Winter, I don't have the courage to say anything, so I'm writing this letter.

Do you remember the day we first met? I fell in love with you the moment I got off the carriage that day. When I heard the story, you seemed like a hero, but when I got off the carriage on the wedding day, I saw that you were blunt but somehow looked awkward, and I laughed.

I was really lovely to meet you, who seemed untouchable in the story. So, since you are my husband, I thought I was lucky to be your wife. But I'm always unhappy with you.

I'm truly sorry.

Long Leewood's stolen land was received as a dowry, so there will be no legal problems. And the items were sold at a fairly reasonable price.

I still love you and cherish you, so I want to give you what you want. So please accept even a small amount of money.

Lastly, the divorce certificate only needs your signature. Please take your time and think before signing. I'll take care of everything after that when I come back.

I hope you are happy.

Violet Lawrence

Winter was in a dazed state for several days afterward, unable to sleep even after taking sleeping pills. At that time, he saw Hayel enter the bedroom.

"CEO."

"Where is Violet?"

"She has crossed the continent and is in a seaside town called Chiron, located in Corsica."

Corsica was famous as a country with many festivals. It was a great place to play as the weather was good all year round except for mid-winter.

"Did she go out to have fun or something?"

Winter grumbled. Then Hayel continued.

"There is an employee in Chiron who returned home after working at our company. I decided to entrust my Little Lady's safety to him and pay his salary. He liked it a lot. It's very difficult to find employment there."

"Yes."

"Are you going back to work?"

"I have to do some work to pass the time."

Winter responded nervously, but Hayel sighed in relief. He didn't understand the mentality of killing time with work, but it felt like putting out an urgent fire.

Violet bought her first ice cream with the little money she brought.

It was strange to her that she wanted to eat ice cream on this cold day. However, she was craving cold food, perhaps because she heard Winter say that ice water tastes better.

It seemed like what he said was right.

As she was eating ice cream and sitting on a harbor chair looking at the sea, a ship with the Dawes family crest came into the harbor.

Sharon Dawes, who spotted Violet on the boat, waved her hand.

"Violet! It's here!"

Violet smiled. Her older brother and the heir of the Doss family. Peren Doss, who came with Sharon, came down from the ship.

He grew up to be a beautiful young man with a gentle appearance, with bright blonde hair and orange eyes like Sharon's. A flawless gentleman, he was currently serving in the Rockround Navy and was wearing a pure white naval uniform.

Violet got on the boat with him, escorted by him.

"It's been a while, Violet."

"I know. Because you didn't even come to my wedding. It's been a long time since we met, so I'm nagging you."

Ferron smiled like a light-breaking wave. Violet nodded her head.

"But I understand. Because Perun didn't want me to marry my husband."

"I just didn't want you to marry for money. Besides, you ran away like this, after all."

"I have nothing to say about that. It's true that I ran away."

As soon as they boarded the ship, which had been docked for a while, it left.

The boat didn't last very long. To the west, there was an island between the continents, and that was the Duchy of Dos. A little further west, there is a small peninsula attached to the continent. There was a village, Сhiron.

It was a land received as a gift from the Duchy of Dos to supplement its naval forces hundreds of years ago when pirates were rampant in the Kingdom of Corsica, which owned the land.

Thanks to this, only one village, Chiron, was the territory of the Duchy of Dos, and since the Dos family was a family that split off from the royal family of Rockround hundreds of years ago, it had many similarities to Rockround compared to other villages. Therefore, it was a suitable place for Violet to move to.

Sharon whispered to her brother as they entered the dilapidated house between the oak trees that served as a breakwater.

"How does Violet live here? I don't think you'll be able to live long before she comes back to your house."

Since Violet had left everything she owned to Winter, this was the only house she could buy with the very little money she brought with her.

Violet said as she turned to look at Sharon's small voice.

"Still, I'll hold on as long as I can."

"Why did you run away in the first place? Last time I talked to you on the train, it seemed like there was no one in the world who understood you so well."

It was worth saying this because she still didn't know that it was Violet, not Winter, whom Sharon met at that time. Sharon continued to grumble and tear off the spider web. The window that Violet was unable to open was forced open by Peren hitting it with his fist.

Although both of them grew up well, the Duchy of Dos itself was a country centered around a powerful navy, so their livelihood was better than that of Violet. Violet spoke to the two with a faint smile.

"Thank you for bringing me here, really."

"It was Ferren who dragged me to the boat and asked me to help."

Sharon glanced at Poren and said, and he grinned.

"After Gold left. Violet was like my own sister."

Gold was the nickname of Violet's older brother, Wayne. Violet and Ash are also named for colors but Violet is disappointed that Wayne isn't the only one, so she forces people around her to call herself that, Wayne cared for Violet that much.

Peren and Wayne were the best friends in the world, and they stuck together so much that people would make fun of them and ask if they were twins.

When Peren made a bitter expression as he remembered Wayne, Violet said teasingly.

"You didn't even show up at your younger sister's wedding."

"You say you understand, but what are you saying again? More than that, since when did you start saying such sarcastic things?"

"Ah... I see."

Winter had a habit of speaking. As expected, bad things tend to fade quickly. Violet looked out the window at the barren
garden.

Suddenly, she became curious about the new house in the capital that Winter had found. They talked about the garden. She heard it was so cool.

Someday in her life, when she has a comfortable relationship with that man, she might go see him at least once. It may not be possible, but she never knows what happens in life.

After telling Sharon and Peren several times to send a telegraph if there was even the slightest problem, they boarded a ship and left for the principality.

After everyone left, there was silence. Violet stared at the empty house.

The doors and windows were broken, so she didn't know where to start and how to repair them. It was like this because the transaction was made only by telegraph from another continent without even confirming which house it was in the first place.

It was south of Rockround, so it didn't drop below freezing even in the middle of winter, but it wasn't warm either.

The house had a hearth instead of a fireplace. Violet bent down to the brazier, which was as tall as she was sitting. Instead of charcoal, there was a magic stone the size of a fingernail inside. Violet blew on it and the embers sparkled.

"Oh my God. it's amazing..."

With round eyes, she said to herself and smiled.

And then she got up.

She opened the rattling door and came out.

Even as she thought about where to run away, she could not completely erase thoughts of her husband. This was the continent where Alika, where the Kanik clan lived, was located.

Although the advancement of science was much slower than that of Rockkround, they were all met with magic, and that magic lost its power once it left the continent.

A place with good security, a place that uses words like Rockround, and where her husband's company has not yet penetrated. Chiron was the place she chose and was most suitable for her to live.

Violet picked up a broom and saw dusty cobwebs all over the house. Earlier, Sharon casually ripped it off, but it wasn't easy for her. She often saw spiders in the garden, but she used to have people come and chase them away.

Violet closed her eyes tightly swung the broom and touched the spider web.

"If I try to run away from here, it will end up just like my husband said."

She consoled herself. As her husband said, she had no intention of being a Princess who could do nothing. If she didn't like being called Princess, she had to rid herself of that name.

At that time, she will not be angry no matter how the other person calls her.

While she was thinking that, she must have touched a live spider, which fell to the ground and quickly disappeared.

Violet, who was originally taught not to express her emotions out loud, did nothing but flinch her shoulders even though she had goosebumps all over her body.

However, her heart was strained, as if it had fallen to the floor and bounced back.

She managed to open her eyes and said to herself.

"... There really is no Princess."

Now she felt like she knew a little bit about her husband's feelings.
