THYU - Chapter 91

Before the airship crashed, when it reached a certain altitude and stopped, Winter checked his watch and wrote down the altitude and time in his notebook again. And then he started checking the flight time.

He felt strange doing something normal. The airship was shaking mercilessly, but his mind was at peace.

He's finally getting out. It will really end this time. He felt such joy.

And Violet kept coming to mind. In fact, even if it wasn't now, she always came to mind. As Winter learns more and more about her, she comes to mind as he sees more and more of her.

Human beings are so foolish that no matter how many times people around him explain things to him, he cannot understand the truth until he realize it himself. Even though Violet was the only person in the world who told him that the way he was loved was wrong, Winter only came to understand it after he found out that his parents could abandon him at any time.

It's a sad thing.

He took his hands off the controls. At that time, the plate made of shiny material that transmitted the wireless telegraph flipped over. If it flipped seven times, it was a signal to make an emergency escape.

The director must have noticed. Damn. He tried to ignore it, but the code kept repeating itself. Emergency evacuation signals continued to come at regular intervals.

The signal was repeating longer than Winter thought. At that time, a popping sound was heard from below the airship. It finally felt like something was wrong.

Nevertheless, the emergency evacuation signal was repeated. It was going to be repeated a hundred and a thousand times.

Winter looked at the signal.

The other person did not stop and was sending signals to him to survive.

The director is a person who believes in technology, so if he tried it a few times and didn't get an answer, he would have thought the radio wasn't working and stopped. If it had been Hayel, it would have been a little longer, but he is a weaker person than he looks, so he would have cried a few times and slowed down in the middle.

As far as he knew, the most sincere and never-give-up person in the world was Violet.

He behaved so terribly that he gave up on life. He wondered if he would have endured it for three years if it weren't for her.

Winter clicked his tongue. If it was Violet who was sending this signal, there was nothing much to do. He can't possibly die where she sees him.

He pulled the emergency escape lever at the same time the airship began to fall. The moment the ceiling of the airship opened and it rose with a parachute, it crashed into the wall, flew violently a considerable distance, and fell with a crash.

"I found it! The CEO is here!"

Winter could faintly hear that voice. After a while, Violet was seen among the people running from afar. If it weren't for damn Violet Blooming's sincerity, he would have disappeared along with the airship. If only he hadn't let her sincerity make her presence known to him like a fingerprints if he hadn't still known about her.

Sometimes Winter felt like Violet was spreading light around him. As she gets closer, his surroundings become brighter, and as she touches him, the death that seduced him moves away.

"I'm alive."

He thought casually.

Even though he felt bad, he felt fortunate.

***

Winter was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, and after a long surgery, he was moved back to the capital residence.

The mansion's doctor checked the condition of Winter, who had not yet opened his eyes and spoke to Violet, who was sitting next to the bed with a pious look.

"The Little Master is so strong that I wonder if he is really human."

"Is that so?"

"Yes. If a weakling like me had crashed this hard, all my bones would have been broken and I would have to be bedridden for the rest of my life. Little Master, if he uses a cane for a month and doesn't run for three months, he will be fine. I'm more worried about the Little Madame than him. Don't you have a high fever?"

"I tend to catch colds often."

"I know best, but you really need to rest now."

Violet nodded but remained frozen and did not move again.

Winter on the bed was so injured that she didn't know what to do. Because he was constantly on the shaking airship, he got scratched and bruised by things.

Violet reached out and touched the wound on Winter's cheek.

"When will he wake up?"

"Well. He's so strong that he might break soon. It is an object of study."

The doctor told Violet to relax and left the bedroom.

After a while, Hayel, who had finally gathered himself, came in and saw Violet hurriedly wiping away her tears with both hands. Hayel stopped, turned to the side, and said.

"The CEO just wrote something in a drawer in the office at headquarters... I found a will."

When Violet looked back at Hayel, he continued speaking.

"Maybe, hey. Just before the CEO went to board the airship, His Highness James came. Then what... Word got out that the CEO would be kicked out of the family. He's pessimistic about that."

As Hayel spoke intermittently, she burst into tears and began to sob. Violet quietly turned her head and muttered as she looked at Winter again.

"What a bad person."

"You're right! Now you understand my feelings, right? I'm really going to beat you up! I'm going to resign!"

Violet, knowing that Hayel was shouting loudly in an attempt to somehow lighten the mood, smiled weakly.

Hayel said.

"Little Madame, please go back to the bedroom."

"I will sleep here today. He might wake up in the middle of the night and do something bad again."

"And then you get really sick."

"Don't worry, I'll sleep like a real patient here."

As Violet spoke soothingly, Hayel had no choice but to leave the bedroom.

Only the two of them remained in Winter's bedroom. It was raining and still dark, but it was 7 am.

Violet changed into her pajamas and lay down next to Winter, holding his hand tightly.

Her heart was shattered, and she suddenly didn't know how to put it together.

She was just dazed.

***

It was Winter who opened his eyes first.

The rain had stopped, and the sunlight on a cloudy day came through the closed curtains. Winter frowned when he found Violet asleep, holding his wrist tightly.

"Why are you doing this here?"

He pulled his wrist and Violet moaned and opened her eyes. And then she realized that Winter had woken up, so she quickly got up.

"You're awake."

"What are you doing?"

"How can you ask that?"

Violet tried to smile, but her eyes were red from crying the night before, and her voice and breathing were trembling.

Violet said quickly as she looked at Winter's splinted leg.

"If you use a cane for a month and don't run for three months, you'll get better."

"There is no such thing as hell."

"It's a blessing to be self-employed. Who says it rains like that..."

Violet gasped, unable to continue speaking.

She couldn't escape the fact that Winter had tried to take his own life the night before.

Violet covered her mouth with both hands and began to cry silently. Winter turned his head away. He turned his head away from the window and said nothing.

Violet was heartbroken and pounded her chest with her fist. It seemed like people sometimes pound their chests with their fists when they were very sad, and it seemed like it was an attempt to somehow break the knot that had formed there.

Violet grabbed Winter's collar with a worryingly pale hand, wondering if his pulse was functioning properly.

"Let's talk."

Then Winter looked back at her with cool eyes and asked.

"Do I look like I'm in the mood to talk right now?"

His voice was rough and low. Winter was doing everything to scare others, but Violet didn't even have time to feel fear.

"You do. There is something I really want to say right now. Before we hand over divorce papers."

"Get out."

"This story will end soon."

As she urged, Winter grabbed Violet's hand holding his collar.

"I don't want to see you, so get out."

A dark fire lit in Winter's eyes. Gloom spread like poison throughout his body.

Violet just thought that it wouldn't matter if she was suffocated by his gloom. She thought she was making up her mind about him, but she wasn't. It was absurd for her to say they would break up after spending time together.

The last three months of reflection were just a time for her to fall in love with Winter Blooming again. Is there a couple in the world who prepares for divorce while kissing and sleeping together?

Winter Blooming may have been that kind of person, but Violet Lawrence was not that kind of person.

"Please, Winter. I'll talk to you soon and then I'll leave. Just... This story will end soon."

Winter let out a sharp sigh at Violet's Insistence. Unfortunately, he couldn't kick or turn over because his leg was injured, so he couldn't lose his temper anymore. He looked at Violet, resigned for physical reasons.

"Then speak quickly. Don't be selfish."

Winter looked like he couldn't understand trying to talk to someone after almost dying and then surviving.

Violet lowered her head and opened her mouth as if she didn't have the confidence to look at Winter.

"I heard that you provided a place to escape to on an island called Oren, so It was harder to say more. Please understand."

"What are you talking about. Are you saying you won't leave?"

"That's what I mean. I'm sorry for preparing it for you, but I can't run away. When I didn't know anything, I just left but after trying it once, it was so hard."

Violet continued.

"Then there is only one way left..."

"No."

"..."

"No way."

Winter's voice was heavy and rough as if it could crush anything. Violet nodded bitterly.

"Yes. I expected you might not like it. You probably don't know how to do it anyway."

"What method?"

"When you die, your body changes, but how does it work?"

When Winter spoke in a voice that seemed to be boiling with anger at any moment, Violet tilted her head and belatedly asked with exclamation.

"Did it sound like I was going to end my life?"

"That's it."

"Not really."

"There is no other way."

Winter was still untrustworthy. Winter grabbed Violet's chin and lifted her head. His beast-like eyes that would devour her, entangled Violet.

"I knew it would be like this. Yeah, I got a little angry at you. But if it were you, wouldn't you be angry? Being told that my parents don't love me? Don't even dream. You can't die. Die, where are you? I will do whatever it takes to bring you back to life."

Winter's hands tightened. He felt like he would never be happy after Violet died right before his eyes. It will continue to be like this. He will have to continue living like this as if there is a noose around his neck.

He was afraid and it was terrible.

As Winter was glaring at her as if he wanted to crush her, Violet's dry lips parted.

"Divorce... Let's postpone it."

"Never... Uh?"

"I want you to call off the divorce, Winter."

And then there was silence.

Violet continued.

"Today is May 20th. The meditation period is over. So... That was something I had to say first before I brought the divorce. It might sound like I'm changing words. I'm so sorry."

Winter's hand fell to the bed. Violet continued.

"I think the only way no one will find fault with me if I don't marry into the Heston family is if we don't get divorced."

Violet said that and waited for an answer, but Winter was completely dazed, as if he had never been so angry, and didn't even blink, looking like someone who had just woken up from sleep.
