THYU - Chapter 92

Violet, who took his lack of response in a negative way, sighed.

"Don't reject me right away, but think about it a little more. If you tell me your conditions, I will do as much as I can."

"...Even tell me the conditions?"

"Is it so. Of course, you won't like it. But right now, I can't think of a better way. Instead, if you cancel the divorce this time, I will give you full authority to decide on the divorce thereafter. I promise. I let you do it whenever you want. If you allow me to annul the divorce, I will sign a contract right away."

"..."

"Winter, are you listening to me?"

Violet waved her hand in front of him anxiously. Even as she was talking, Winter's expression changed dozens of times, especially when she told him she would give him full power to decide on a divorce, and it seemed like he took a breath and didn't let it out again.

Viol was worried that he was going to suffocate to death and wondered if she should at least pat him on the back to help him breathe again.

Violet also thought that she had talked too much about a sick person.

She quickly shook her head.

"Sorry. I was in a hurry. What does this mean, holding on to a sick person?"

Violet forced a smile as if nothing had happened.

"I decided to let you out if you told me, so I'll leave. Sleep more."

When she tried to stand up, she felt dizzy and fell down. She wasn't as badly injured as Winter, but she was also in very bad shape because of the heavy rain and the heartburn she had had all night.

Thanks to that, Winter finally came out of his daze, cupped Violet's forehead with his hand, and his expression hardened.

"What did the doctor do? Why do you have such a strong fever?"

"It's just a cold.'

"Where's the simple cold? The disease that kills the most children in Rockround is cold. Because you are not a child. This is the age when you are at your healthiest."

"I think differently. If this is the healthiest state, what am I going to do when I get older?"

Violet was already exhausted, and after talking to Winter about her strength, she was completely exhausted. Winter was the complete opposite. He thought he didn't have the strength to die, and suddenly a surge of strength surged through his stretched body. It was a pity that his leg was injured.

"You don't have to go out. Everything is annoying because I'm sick."

"Ah. It hurts a lot? Ask me to bring you painkillers..."

When Violet's head tried to tilt down as she spoke, Winter cursed and pulled her head into his arms.

"I don't know which of us is in critical condition."

"I am not a patient."

"We're in big trouble. You must be talking nonsense because your fever is so severe."

In the meantime, Violet felt some hope as she watched Winter pull her into his arms, wondering if his head would bend.

She asked softly.

"Would you consider it?"

"You mean divorce?"

"Yes. Divorce."

"Do as you will. Instead, if you cancel this time, as you said, you will never bring up the topic of divorce again. It's a waste of time to talk about this and that."

"Don't you need more time to think?"

"I do not need."

Violet smiled faintly at his annoyed response.

"Well, you value time."

She said, raising her head and looking at Winter.

"Let's do it, turn it into a surplus."

"I don't understand exactly yet, but now I know that's not what women like."

Violet nodded slightly. It may be a very selfish thought, but if he becomes separated from his parents, many of the reasons why Violet decided to get a divorce will actually disappear. So, she decided to give up on pushing him out of her mind.

She felt afraid. She was the one who was flooding in even though she locked the door and blocked it with her whole body. Now I decided to just open the door.

What happens then? Will it be locked? Will they mix?

After deciding to open the door, Viole felt both sad and relaxed.

She decided to solve something that had always bothered her. She was planning to first correct this man's bad love practices, as he had a habit of buying love with money. She planned to let him know that she would love him even if he didn't do anything for her.

She still felt indebted to her husband.

She didn't seem to like paying the debt with money, so she thought she give him back what he wanted.

Winter seemed to think she needed to get up and take a look, so he found the cane hanging next to him, picked it up, and got down on the floor.

"Oh, don't get up yet!"

As if Violet was late, Winter collapsed on the bed again and cursed. He couldn't bear it anymore and lay down on the bed.

"Who on earth would do such a stupid thing?"

At his words, Violet smiled and asked while feeling helpless.

"Are you reflecting?"

"I regret it."

"Please reflect too."

Winter laughed at her words and said, running a hand through his hair.

"Ah, I was talking about something important, but my hair was rude so I decided to look in the mirror."

When he said something she couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic, self-deprecating, or just joking, Violet looked down at him and said.

"Youooks good with messy hair."

Violet said that and closed her lips tightly, perhaps a little embarrassed. Then Winter frowned and said,

"If I don't brush my hair, you won't even talk to me?"

Then Violet made an aggrieved expression.

"It's not like that anymore. I was concerned that you said that if you don't brush your hair, then you can't talk, what kind of couple is this? So these days, I've been asking Jen to give me some hair..."

Violet, who was fiddling with her hair while saying that, suddenly came to her senses and looked at Winter and said.

"I told you not to attach any importance to it. Sorry."

"What? Why doesn't it matter that the way you tie your hair has changed... No, before that we were talking about not getting divorced. That's right. Compared to the main point, it's definitely a no-brainer."

Winter nodded.

Then he glanced at Violet, who couldn't hold her weight properly because her body was so heavy, and said.

"Let's just wake up and talk about it. Because you look so unwell."

"I guess so."

After Violet answered like that and lay down next to him, Winter turned around and asked.

"Why are you lying down?"

"Because I can't let you sleep alone."

After saying that, Violet pulled up the pillow and wrapped Winter's hand tightly with both hands. She apologized, closing her eyes.

"You're very upset because of what I said about your parents, right? Sorry. I spoke carelessly even though I didn't know much."

"What are you saying now. I heard my father say my mother was kicking me out."

"I brought up the title first...."

"I told you not to put your trust in me."

"Is this a noble family again?"

"Anything that isn't something I want to hear in my current mood is okay."

"Ah... I see."

Violet nodded as if she understood and went to sleep. She was so tired that she fell into a deep sleep that she didn't even notice when she was shaken.

Winter still clearly didn't trust what Violet said. He was satisfied that everything had to be written down in a contract. She was so tired right now that he would let her sleep, but when she woke up, he would force her to hold a pen in her hand and get her to sign that she would never bring up the topic of divorce.

Winter felt like he was finally coming to her senses. This time he was repeating the same mistake. He tried to make Violet understand his choice. Even after he learned that she didn't want anything to do with her inheritance.

The mere fact that he was hurt made Violet cry, get scared and try to stay by his side. If he had died, Violet would have grieved even more.

"Let's not get divorced. That's ridiculous."

The corners of Winter's mouth were pulled up so much that the scratches on his cheeks were painful. The thought that now this woman would be his again warmed his body.

Meanwhile, he was desperate to have no desire for Violet. He killed his own feelings by saying he had to give up. That way he wouldn't drag her into his hell. But she came back to his side on her own feet.

It was the first time Winter felt like he was a lucky person.

Looking back on his life, he realized that he was actually lucky. There was no way he could have made this much money unless he was lucky. If he thinks about it, isn't it a really rare and rare possibility that his half is of Duke blood in the first place?

The world is full of people who pretend to be noble even if they are of noble blood. Putting all that aside, it was Winter's luck that his wife was so put on the defensive that she eventually gave up on divorce and came back here on her own to stay.

He was originally a person whose desires were several times stronger than others. With that strong desire, he lived intending to accumulate all the money in the world.

But now, an overwhelming desire that was incomparable to the strong desires he had felt throughout his life was agitating him.

Without realizing it, Winter reached out the hand that was being held by Violet and tried to grab her face but barely managed to loosen his grip.

"...You are logical, but your heart is so weak."

It was clear that she felt sorry for him. There was no reason other than sympathy for someone who thought it was polite to have a separate bedroom but ended up sleeping on his husband's bed.

Winter hoped his leg would heal as slowly as possible.

***

Violet was so deeply asleep that she didn't wake up even as Winter slowly pulled his hand away.

Winter found his wand again, took a deep breath, and stood up. After cursing himself for hia stupidity as the pain throbbed through his head, he left the bedroom and quickly looked for Hayel.

Hayel was full of dissatisfaction and approached Winter to say something, but when he saw Winter's complexion suddenly change, he immediately asked.

"Did something good happen?"

"Bring me coffee and painkillers. Both are toxic and..."

"Of course, the director and researchers kept quiet. The CEO got hurt because he fell down the stairs after drinking."

"That's not it."

Winter couldn't believe what he was saying with his own mouth, so he paused for a moment and spoke softly.

"She doesn't want to remarry Heston, Violet."

"Yes."

"She asked me to cancel my divorce as a solution."

Hayel's eyes widened at those words. Winter seemed to realize it only after saying it with his own mouth. For a moment, Winter forgot about the pain and smiled. Hayel, who was looking at him blankly, belatedly understood and jumped up with excitement.

 "That's incredibly good news!"

"What? Yeah, honestly that's good news. It won't matter if we proceed with the Heston family title like this. The thought of seeing those damn Ash Lawrence and Heston get stabbed in the back already makes me dizzy."

"Oh, no problem."

Hayel responded appropriately and cheered inwardly.

Winter, who was worried that his wife would leave him and whose moods fluctuated twelve times a day, ended up doing the crazy thing of dragging an airship out in the pouring rain. Although he wrote in his will that it was his parents' fault, Hayel knew that the real reason was because Violet would leave him.

Hayel was excited, but then quickly became serious and spoke to him.

"CEO, this is not the time to relax. I'm sorry to say this, but... You and your wife both harmed each other once. There's no guarantee it won't happen twice."

Then Winter looked at Hayel with an expression of disbelief.

"What's going on? You only choose words that are useful today. You don't bring what I need."

"Oh, coffee and painkillers! I'll bring it. And Mr. CEO, in case the Little Madame changes her mind, can't you let all the employees know in advance?"

"Were you always this smart?"

Winter was genuinely surprised and beckoned the door to tell him to go quickly and spread the word.

"Go and tell them. Instead, since Violet is sleeping, if you make a loud noise, you will be fired."

"No need to worry at all!"

After Hayel said that, he got excited and ran down the hallway. After a while, brief squealing sounds were heard here and there. And then Hayel rushed to Lulu to retrieve his resignation letter, which he had left behind just in case.
