THYU - Chapter 75

Violet soon returned to the Kanik Hotel in Sharon's carriage. Sharon, who was sitting next to Violet with her arms around her, spoke to Auss, who was sitting across from her.

"But Auss, is the time really okay? We're going to stay at the Kanik Hotel for a week?"

Auss nodded to indicate that it was okay. This week was a favor Winter gave to Violet's friend Sharon. Sharon was worried that Violet might nag her, so she made an excuse in advance.

"It's scary to be alone in that big room. There are two rooms. Can't we share one?"

"You too."

Violet looked at Auss worriedly, and although his mouth was still closed, he looked very nervous. He didn't feel bad about being dragged around by Sharon, but Violet thought he was doing it because he liked Sharon, so Violet laughed.

Sharon's carriage soon stopped at the port. Violet greeted Sharon and Auss. After saying goodbye to everyone, Violet walked towards Winter. She kept looking back at Chiron, whom she had been with for a year.

They traveled across the continent by boat. While she was on the boat, she didn't feel like she was going back to Rockound, but when she stood at the train station, it definitely felt like it.

As she was waiting for the train to arrive, a newspaper seller was walking around selling newspapers from all over the continent.

Violet bought a copy of Rockround's newspaper of the day and boarded the train.

Violet, who was sitting across from Winter and slowly reading the newspaper, stiffened slightly. Winter quickly noticed it and asked.

"Why, what article did you see?"

"...Did you give the villa to the Heston family and Ash?"

There was an article that said the Heston family's title succession ceremony was held in a private villa at the Kannik Hotel midway between the capital and the north.

Then Winter picked up the newspaper and checked it, saying,

"The Heston family is the leader of northern Rockround. If the Heston family doesn't use our hotel, the entire North will revolt."

"Yes."

When Violet nodded and turned her attention to the article, Winter said in frustration.

"If you have any complaints, tell me."

"Ash probably asked for your villa on purpose. He wants to show that you also support his return to the throne."

"I'm just a businessman."

"You are probably the person who looks down on you the most in the world."

Violet continued calmly.

"You are no longer lust a businessman. A business that can control the social world from its own hands."

"What's Important about social circles? I'm a stranger."

"Yes, you are a foreigner. But the fact that you have power in the social world means that you can give power to the family you want."

"Are you telling me to abandon my great customer because of political games?"

"It's not like that. I'm just saying don't belittle your power."

Violet smiled and closed the newspaper.

"I can see why Margrave Heston gave up his pride to marry me."

"What are you talking about?"

"If we get divorced, I will receive a considerable amount of property. The Heston family will also covet that property."

"No, don't talk about money or get married. Karzan Heston is 47 years old. He's more than twice your age."

"That's right."

Looking at Violet's bitter expression, Winter realized that she was really talking about herself and shouted.

"What kind of crazy talk is this! Isn't it enough just once? Is he going to force you to get married again? Reject it immediately!"

"I already told Ash that I would refuse. But just in case..."

"Where are you by any chance?"

Violet paused. In the first place, Winter just wanted to make his own money, regardless of whether Ash took the throne or not. But the moment he found out that Violet was included in the terms of the deal, he exploded with anger.

As a spark appeared in his cold gray eyes, Violet strangely felt a little ecstatic. Winter stood up and shouted at Hayel, who was sitting against the wall of the train compartment.

"What happened? Shouldn't Anjali have taken care of things related to the family?"

"Well, After Vice President Anjali said she would resign, the CEO gave her leave to appease her. One month at a time."

"Oh, shit."

Winter ruffled his hair angrily.

"Cancel, right now."

"Yes, yes? Nothing good can come of going against the Heston family..."

"That damn bastard wants to marry Violet!"

"...Are you crazy?"

"The whole knight family is dead!"

Violet looked embarrassed at the people at the Kanik Hotel who were upset by her words.

She thought her husband wasn't doing well these days. It was similar to when he was going crazy like an animal trapped in a place with no way out. It's been a long time since Violet had seen him show such anger.

She was worried. Why does Winter hate the divorce from herself so much?

Even In terms of property distribution, there was no way that Violet could have taken much.

Since time is the most precious thing to him, the time itself to meet another woman and start a new family may be a waste.

What on earth does he want from her? Violet couldn't know because Winter didn't tell her.

Is it just maintaining the status quo? Or is it because Violet is part of the family he is particularly attached to that she is projecting his fear of losing his mother at the age of five? Either that or that.

Maybe, just maybe, or maybe Violet slowly gaining a place in his heart. Violet tried not to overthink, but she couldn't stop thoughts of Winter Blooming's heart from idling in her head.

Let's assume that this excessive thinking is true.

If that happens, what will she do?

Most of the people on this train were employees who were on a business trip to the Kanik Hotel Chiron branch. When Winter went to the second class compartment and started a sudden meeting, only Violet and Jen remained in the first class compartment.

"Oh, what's going on on the train, Little Lady?"

When Jen asked with round eyes, Violet also looked embarrassed.

"That's right."

Violet stood up, unable to bear her wоrrу.

It was a train with a hallway on the right. As she walked down the rickety hallway and stood in front of the door to the second class compartment, she heard a harsh curse that she had never thought Winter would say.

When Violet stopped in surprise. Jen quickly covered her ears and spoke from behind.

"Oh, you're surprised. He does that often."

"Often?"

"Oh, of course, he only does that when he's really angry. It's a good thing that there isn't much to throw because it's a train. He won't pull out his seat and throw it."

Violet's face turned pale as Jen said it was no big deal. Violet belatedly blamed herself, saying she shouldn't have said that. It was because she didn't know that Winter would react so violently.

Now that she thought about it, it was clear that it would be too great of a loss for  Winter to oppose the Heston family and Ash's proposal.

As Violet carefully opened the door and entered, an employee shouted as if they were alive.

"CEO! Little Madam has arrived!"

"What?"

At those words, Winter stopped losing his temper and turned around. Winter flinched at Violet's shocked expression and quietly put down the slippers in his hand.

"Why?"

When Winter asked, Violet answered, blinking her eyes frequently, unusually.

"Ah, Well. I guess I made a mistake, it's okay. I will reject it on my own."

"What a mistake. I was planning on telling you later after the ceremony was over, then?"

Winter said as he still stood there, turning towards Violet with a crumpled face and exiting the second class.

"Fix it on your own."

"Yes, yes! CEO!"

Soon the second-class door closed. There was silence between the two embarrassed people. As soon as they entered first class, Winter opened his mouth.

"No way. Those two damn bastards won't be allowed near my villa, and they won't participate in the succession ceremony."

"Then It would be too much of a loss for you."

"I'm naturally moody."

Winter spoke freely and sat down in her seat. Perhaps the reason why he swore and threw things was because other employees opposed it because they thought it would cause serious damage to the hotel.

Violet sat down and thought for a moment before opening her mouth.

"Like I said, I have no intention of accepting this second marriage. This is my fight. So I'll figure out another way. I sent a statement to the newspaper and visited the Heston family. Let's do everything we can."

"What statement?"

"A statement saying that the Lawrence family opposes royal protocol. No matter what, the Heston family values his reputation. If I, as a Princess, were against it, it would be difficult for the Heston family to just insist on it. And... I need to find people who agree with my opinion."

She spoke soothingly, but Winter's expression was still full of anger. He leaned back like he was lying down on a chair and said sarcastically.

"There's nothing special about the knights. Have you buried your pride like your ancestors?"

Violet, looking at her husband like that, smiled a little without realizing it. Winter narrowed his eyes and asked.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Thank you for getting angry at me, but it's surprising because I've never seen you lose your temper like that. I heard that it happens often?"

"..."

"You still acted like a noble family master in front of me, right?"

As she teased Winter, speechless, he twitched the bridge of her nose and turned his head out the window. Meanwhile, the train was slowly entering the capital.

***

Violet took the train and got off at the station just before the capital and took a carriage. When she arrived in front of the large iron gate on the outskirts of the capital, enjoying the air of Rockround with a longing heart, it was pitch black. Violet said to Winter worriedly.

"It's too dark inside the door. Is this how I can walk in the direction of the mansion?"

"You don't have to worry at all."

Winter, who was less angry, showed a displeased expression as soon as she said that it was dark. He took a few steps back, leaving Violet with a little excited, like a boy with something to show off.

"Look inside the door there. I have something to show you."

"What is it?"

Violet looked inside the door, curious.

Meanwhile, Winter shouted into the door.

"Turn on the lights!"

As his voice boomed in the darkness, a rumbling sound as if something was rolling inside was heard.

After a while, Violet's mouth opened of its own accord.

In the deep darkness, very bright light bulbs flickered and lit up. The majesty of the mansion was revealed in every space of the huge mansion by the bright light from the electric bulbs, an intense light that could never be compared to candlelight.

Nonsense...

"Oh my God... Winter!"

Winter who was satisfied with Violet's touching eyes, was proud and boasted.

"I didn't know I'd be showing this in just one year. But thanks to you, it became even more perfect. Jorgen 207 filament bulb. Look at this clear, clean light."

"That's amazing..."

Most of the things that impress Violet, who has lived with everything she can, are these advanced civilizations. As she walked, unable to take her eyes off it, Winter followed her and said,

"I've never seen anything like this... The last light I saw was blinking and very dim and I like it."

"It was very expensive. Oh, of course, it's still expensive and you have to replace it with a new light bulb if you turn it on for eight hours. Is it okay to say that gold is being ground up and destroyed?"

Violet's eyes widened at those words and she asked.

"Well, now that I've been surprised enough, shall we just turn it on where we need to?"

"I need to look at the house. I have a lot to show you."

True to the saying that there was a lot to show. Violet couldn't take her eyes off the neat garden and road in front of the mansion even before she arrived. When they arrived at the porch, Lulu, who was waiting, greeted them brightly.

"Are you here, Little Madam?"

 "Ah, that's cool, Lulu."

Lulu's expression, who had been promoted to butler at the capital's mansion, was very bright. When she opened the door, a gorgeously lit space appeared. It was incomparable to the hotel lobby. Each wallpaper was made of imported silk, and the statues were also studded with countless jewels.

Violet touched the smooth wooden staircase railing with her hand and admired it.

"How can it be so pretty..."

"Let me show you your room."

Winter led her up the stairs, putting his hands behind her back and giving a thumbs up to Lulu, who was standing behind him. It was a tribute to the ability to completely renovate this neglected mansion in a short period of time.

Lulu cleared her throat to indicate that she had seen it. Winter headed to Violet's room, thinking that he should send Lulu on another honeymoon as a bonus.
