SPMB - Side Story Chapter 6

My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone

This time, Kanna's voice asks.

"Alex, can you promise?"

'No. I can't keep my promise.'

He felt like I could protect her.

It was like that when he was twenty.

That's what he thought back in the days when he didn't know defeat and was completely bored with the glory of victory.

Because he didn't know pain, despair, and suffering, because he didn't know it could be this terrible.

The arrogant spring of his twenties turned his subsequent life into a completely desolate winter.

'Yes, I just can't bear it.'

He can endure sleeplessness, evil spirits, and short lives, but he cannot endure this.

He can't bear the horror of feeling Iike he's become a beast rather than a human being.

He just can't bear it.

He stood tall in his seat.

'I can't do this anymore."

Kanna.

He promised to protect her.

He looked into her eyes, held her hand, and swore.

Rest assured, he will save her. Believe it. He promises.

But he's sorry.

He can't keep my promise. Blame him.

No, don't complain. He's done enough.

'Let's go to Kanna."

Let's get some blood and draw the drinking method that Seon-hee taught him. Then Seon-hee will come.

Let's tell that woman that he can't do this anymore, that he can take care of her daughter, and then let's get out of this pain.

He decided. So all that remains is action. The moment he takes a step.

"See you again."

At that moment, a moan escaped his throat. She stopped again. Even though there were no hallucinogenic drugs, Alexandro wanted to scream at the sound of the voice ringing.

"See you again."

Why.

Why on earth does she leave such cruel words and don't let him escape?

Does she have to destroy him like this just for her own survival?

That's not all. She cursed even worse. Did she want to meet in the future where they can reminisce about the same past?

She is clever. She's selfish. So she couldn't even imagine the pain he would go through. So, how dare she leave such sweet words as a curse?

If she hadn't left anything behind, maybe he could have run away....

"Dad..."

At that time, he heard the child's voice behind him.

It wasn't an auditory hallucination or hallucination, it was the real Kanna's voice.

"Are you okay?"

He stopped breathing.

He couldn't breathe at all.

It felt like he was being murdered for a moment.

Kanna.

Her, that being, him.

"Hey, uh.....”

He ignored her. He walked away as if running away.

From Kanna, from the destroyer who tried to destroy his pride, honor, soul, and personality.

After running away like a coward for a while, he finally stopped.

Alexandro closed his eyes. He tried to hold back, but he couldn't. The pain boiled up like lava. Like his blood, it ran down his cheek. He felt a throbbing pain as if the spot had been burned.

At that moment, Alexandro realized.

That this pain, this sense of guilt, will never be erased.

***

That night, he sought out hallucinogenic drugs for the last time.

Alexandro rested his chin in silence and looked at the hallucination. On the sofa opposite him, Kanna was also facing his gaze.

Suddenly he became curious.

Twenty. At that time, he clearly loved this woman. He still thinks he loves her. He's thinking.......

Is that really true?

Is it really love?

Or is it just obsession with the promise he made?

Maybe the lingering affection for his first love, which disappeared like foam, remains like a stubborn obsession. He who already had everything from the moment he was born was the one thing he did not have.

He never knows. If she had later turned to another woman, she might have lived a different life.

He doesn't know if this is love, obsession, or a promise that remains like a curse.

What is clear is that at this moment, he is still the only one.

Kanna was his only passion, his only regret, and his only affection..

That's why he's been creating fantasies of Kanna and being with him for the past few years.

As a lover. To a resting place.

Fondly. Sweetly. Secretly.

It was crazy.

Alexandro realized that he had had a difficult time compared to an animal.

That woman lives in reality as the eldest daughter of Addis.

"I will keep my promise."

Alexandro looked at her and muttered.

"But this is the end with you."

On that day, Alexandr killed his first love.

They buried it deep and made a tomb.

And he never took it out again.

***

After that, Alessandro no longer sought out hallucinogenic drugs.

However, it was difficult to endure without any rest amid evil spirits and sleeplessness.

"Make a drug that will make me lose my mind."

"Alexandro, that's more dangerous than hallucinogenic drugs."

"I don't care."

Time passed like that. Now he no longer even has the urge to throw away his promise.

'It's already late.'

He has already crossed too many paths to live a proper life.

Alexandre no longer regretted or was troubled. He just walks forward silently.

As a result, at some point, he felt like it was his mission to save Kanna. In fact, he couldn't help but think that way.

Let's just think that he was born to save Kanna. In the future, Kanna will destroy the world tree and close the black gap.

So, he may have been born to protect the woman who will save the world.

If it's that kind of fate. It's not bad.

So it's not about love anymore. It shouldn't be because of love.

The world wouldn't tolerate it, and more than anything, he couldn't tolerate it himself. He couldn't even forgive.

Alexandro avoided encountering the real Kanna as much as possible. Every time he caught Kanna's gaze he felt like a disgusting monster and couldn't bear it.

But there will come a day when they have to look each other in the eyes. The day he met Kanna from the past again.

When he imagined that day, it felt like every corner of his heart was frozen. Coldly, as if trying to suppress the heat boiling deep inside.

He suddenly became curious.

What is the identity of this heat?

Is it fear or anticipation? Or is it resentment?

Either that or still...

Alexandro laughed bitterly.

Well, he doesn't know. Actually, he didn't want to know. He'll find out when they meet again anyway.

Then everything will become clear.

He will find out whether he will regret and resent this harsh time he endured, or whether he will be grateful for even this pain.

Whatever it was, this one thing was clear.

"Please wait for me."

Alexandr was waiting.

"In a future where we can reminisce about the same past.

"See you again."

That day. That future.

  1. No wonder the family is messy. Alex was high as a kite when he should've been protecting the baby, his future girlfriend. She was right there in desperate need of his help from a spiteful wife who renegades on her deal with him. And the wife is something special for getting everything she wanted in terms of material and political gains but still had the balls to abuse kanna. Moral of the story seems to be detailed prenumps, even a whole section on expectations on raising kids, is the way to go. And don't do drugs kids!
