Among the ships that had settled in the small port, several were engaged in smuggling, and my target was the one that had finished its work.
It is said that the sea surrounding this city is inhabited by demons, and that they appear at night, so most ships must leave at dawn.
A beggar who preys on the food while the villains rest.
Now that the luggage was all loaded and everyone was boarding the ship, I joined them.
"Phew, I finally got it."
"Let's go up and rest for a bit."
There were women among the smugglers, so no one suspected me.
It's exciting to come to a different place after always being in the palace, Magic Tower, and the Duke's residence. It feels like an adventure.
At first, I thought about using magic to sink Yuno's ship and have him take out the box containing young Yuno.
Because this has a much higher chance of success than I moving.
However, the previous Magic Tower Master was the same, and when Yuno came to the past, he said that he could not use magic if he came within a certain distance of his past self.
"Hmm. Is this a control device or an arrangement to keep time from getting messed up?
"What?"
"Let's have a beer."
"Yes, bring a keg of beer."
There aren't many people with the ability to come to the past as a pagan, but if someone with a powerful force like Yuno came to the past, wouldn't history change?
So, isn't there a limit?
In this context, I may not have any other abilities besides being able to twist my reason.
Just having a strong influence on the main characters could change the course of the story, so if I asked them to go to war, they would gladly do it.
"Is this why I'm so clear-headed and have no thoughts?"
"What do you keep saying?"
"I need to drink beer. I hate beer, but I want to drink it!"
“Good!”
No. I didn't really think much of it, so let's not take it too seriously.
The smugglers were having a blast, drinking, and I took a seat next to a simple guy nearby.
"Oh, once this departure is over, I have to go home."
I had many magical tools made by Yuno in my arms, and compared to the protagonists who had properly listened to him, smugglers like him seemed like insignificant stones.
"What are you going to do there? You need to make some money."
So I was able to respond eloquently.
"Hey, I'll give you a lot of money for this trip. I'll take that with me to my hometown and ignore all the farmers who ignored me."
"How much money is falling into our hands? It's a lot of money."
"This time, there are top-notch properties."
Noli, who was gulping down beer, pointed down with his finger.
"The alien race downstairs, the pretty ones and all."
What the heck, there are foreign species here, too!
I nodded, momentarily surprised by the characters I hadn't even written about.
"That's true. But I wonder how many there are, since there are so many mouths that have been sold."
"Hmm, is that so? More importantly, you. Is this the first time I'm seeing your face?"
"What are you talking about? Drink some more alcohol."
I offered him a drink, and the man, already flushed, gulped down his beer like water.
I looked around alertly from the corner. After confirming that everyone had passed out from drinking too much, I looked for the stairs leading down to the deck.
Fortunately, there was no one blocking my path.
As I went down, I saw that the first floor was the smugglers' quarters and the intact luggage was there, and the floors below were the same.
It was only after going to the third basement level that I was able to encounter the suspicious boxes.
It was pitch-black, with no lights, so I used the magical item Yuno had given me to light the orb. Unlike the wooden boxes on the upper floor, there were narrow iron bars lined up in a row.
"Phew, I found the right one."
As I approached with the light on, the creatures inside the cage reacted.
“What is it? What are you trying to do this time?”
"I've come to free you. I'll show you the way out, so be quiet."
The pointy-eared creature looked at me with suspicion.
"How are you going to let me go?"
I chuckled and pulled out a utility knife from my pocket. It was a magic sword that could cut through anything except Adamant!
I cut the lock and opened the door, rescuing the aliens who had been dragged in.
"We'll be leaving at once, so please wait."
It's not necessary to save the alien races, but since we've seen them, we'll save them. And wouldn't it be easier to escape if we made the situation more chaotic?
Most of them were dumbfounded, but they came out of the iron bars and huddled together.
"Human! Release this, too."
The green-haired man spoke as he looked at me with a displeased look.
His land was shackled with something similar to chains, but strangely different.
“What is this?”
"Isn't that a magic control device? You guys installed it, and you don't recognize it?"
"I told you I came to save you?"
I slowly removed the magic control device, trembling in fear that my arm might be cut off. Then the green-haired man clenched his fists and trembled.
"You humans, I will not forgive you. How dare you capture and imprison the great elf wizard Greenhill! I will destroy you!"
"Yes, yes, wait a minute!"
I still haven't found Yuno?
"Kuaaaaaaaaa!"
"Hey, stop that guy!"
"I'm already crazy, I can't do this!"
The green-haired man began to use magic, perhaps driven mad by his imprisonment.
"Yuno! Yuno, where are you?"
“Who... is who?”
A faint voice came from inside. I rushed over, cut the lock, and pulled young Yuno out from within the iron bars.
Meanwhile, the elf wizard was destroying the ship.
"Let's go, Yuno."
"I'm abandoned. I have nowhere to go."
As if there was no hope of living, the dead eyes only looked at the ground.
"No, someone is coming to see you."
"Kuaaaaaaaaa!"
The elf wizard, who seemed to have gone berserk, fired fireballs here and there.
Even if I wanted to ask Yuno for help, I'd have to go out and throw this red bead! No, I can't even decide to help because little Yuno is here!
As the situation became more serious, I grabbed Yuno's shoulder. I had something to tell him.
"You're not weird."
Yuno, still young, opened his eyes wide.
"Your body, there's absolutely nothing strange about it."
"How did you know I was weird?"
"You may be a little different from others, but don't be discouraged, it's not a bad thing at all."
A strange light flashed across his dark, dead eyes.
"And later, when you grow up, Yuno, someone who loves you will appear."
I hugged him before he could answer.
I came with a light heart, but I ended up erasing Yuno's past for another reason.
"Jump into the sea before the ship bursts!"
There were already quite a few holes in the ship, and strange noises were coming from inside, as if a fireball had hit the engine.
At my feet, many different races and people jumped into the sea.
The elven wizard, who had been cast upon, unleashed a barrage of magic, and I hurled the magical item I'd roughly retrieved from my bosom. The magical attack aimed at me was blocked by the orb, but I staggered.
"You have to live, Yuno."
Having said that, I hurriedly handed over to young Yuno the bag containing the money and treasures I had intended to give him, and hugged him tightly.
Bang! Bam bam bam!
The ship burst with a loud noise. Yuno and I were blown through the air by the strong wind.
I tried to hold on to Yuno, but a strong wind, like a storm, struck me hard. I felt like I'd been hit in the back of the head, and my mind became dizzy.
Eventually, regardless of my will, I lost the strength to speak and let go of the being in my arms.
“Yuno.”
I lost consciousness as I watched him fall into the vast ocean filled with darkness.
***
No way.
When I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar ceiling.
"Are you awake, Lily?"
“Yuno!”
I jumped up. No. I tried to get up, but my body hurt like I'd been hit.
“Why am I here?”
"You've fallen asleep in the warehouse. Don't you remember?"
“Is that so?”
“Yes, you did.”
Yuno smiled brightly.
"I guess yoy got tired from exploring the warehouse, so yoy was just leaning against something and sleeping. So I brought you here."
He stroked my head affectionately.
"But Yuno, were you always this tall?"
"Yes."
He was smiling softly, and he was very different from the person I was in charge of.
Originally, he was more childish and chattered nonstop, but the atmosphere seems to have become much calmer.
"Lily, does anything hurt?"
"My whole body aches, but I don't think there's anything wrong. More than that, I'm sure..."
I went back in time to meet young Yuno and tried to improve his unfortunate childhood, but was it all a dream?
Yuno also went with me, but was it my mistake?
The golden eyes just looked down at me, saying nothing.
As I stared blankly, Yuno lowered his head.
"Lily, my savior."
Something soft touched my lips.
