News of Henry's transfer to Hiloshine reached Renisha.
It was news she and Kassius had long awaited.

Renisha smiled gently.

Renisha had been waiting for the fruit to ripen deliciously.

Kassius covered Renisha's lips.
"Enough."
"Just one more."
Renisha patted Kassius's back.
She pressed her lips against his ear.
"Me."
Kassius frowned.
He couldn't hear Renisha clearly.
Kassius turned his head toward Renisha.
"I didn't hear you."
"Oh."
Renisha pressed her lips against Kassius' earlobe and raised her knees.
She rubbed between Kassius's legs and whispered sweetly,
"I told you I'm pregnant, Kassius."
"Huh?"
"The doctor said I absolutely must rest. We must not have sex for a while..."
Kassius froze.
He felt the blood rushing down to his head.
Kassius lifted Renisha from the bed.
"What did you just say... Say it again, Renisha."
"I told you I'm pregnant,"
Renisha said clearly.
Then she took Kassius's large hand and placed it on her lower abdomen.
"I told you your baby is here?"
Kassius abruptly rose from his seat.
Renisha, resting her chin on her hand, stared at Kassius, who was pacing around the room. The red scales rippling across his skin seemed to indicate his instability.
Renisha tilted her head.
She wondered how Kassius would react.
Kassius suddenly threw open the bedroom door.
"Maid! Maid! Where are you!"
"H-Hey, are you looking for me?"
It was late, so the head maid appeared, having just checked the palace one last time, and was about to go to bed. She stared at Kassius, his clothes disheveled, with a surprised expression.
"The baby... is pregnant..."
"Huh?"
"They say Renisha is pregnant."
Kassius said, his throat choked up.
"They say she's pregnant!"
“Huh?”
Even the head maid was startled by the sudden news.
Renisha hadn’t shown any expression all day.
All she had done was meet with the attending doctor in the morning and discuss a few things.
Other than that, she had finished her day with a calm expression.

“They’re twins,”

“They said they’re growing very healthily. They’re a little over two months old.”
