IYDGMYD - Chapter 132

“Yes, how did you get here...!”

Andrea's eyes widened.

Chloe twisted her lips into a wicked smile.

“Why did I come to a place I shouldn’t have?”

Andrea was so surprised that he didn't realize that Chloe's mood was different than usual.

"Why are you here all of a sudden? Shouldn't you be in Ronheim?"

“It’s my only brother’s birthday, so shouldn’t I come and celebrate?”

“When on earth... I haven’t received any contact?”

If there had been any movement in Ronheim, it would have been reported to the imperial court when the magic circle of movement arrived.

Because Kavala is watching Ronheim.

She's not the kind of mother who would miss that.

“A surprise gift, perhaps?”

Chloe put a flower petal under her face and burst out laughing.

“Surprised? Ahahaha! Look at that expression!”

Then she patted Andrea's shoulder in a friendly manner.

"What are you so surprised about? Why did I suddenly appear, breaking through the surveillance network?"

“...!”

"Just kidding, kidding. Relax your expression, brother. If anyone saw me, they'd think you were really spying on me."

Andrea touched his face.

He thought he was managing his facial expressions well, but is it noticeable?

By the way, Chloe's tone of voice was really annoying.

What on earth is that leisure?

'It's just like a different person, isn't it?'

It was definitely Chloe, but he felt like he was seeing someone else.

Things like facial expressions, cheerful gestures, and playful conversation.

Andrea forced a smile, thinking he should quickly run to Kavala and ask her if she knew Chloe had entered the palace.

“But you’ve changed a lot since you got married?”

At those words, Chloe nodded with a serious expression on her face, unlike before.

“That's right. My husband treats me well. Our relationship is so good. People say it's enviable... They say seeing how loved I am has made my face glow.”

Chloe, who had been boasting nonchalantly as if she were talking about someone else, looked at Andrea and smiled brightly.

Her mouth was smiling, but her eyes were sharp.

"Why wasn't it like that at the palace? Wasn't I loved? Wasn't my brother tormenting me?"

"You're so rude! Why are you saying such disappointing things, Chloe? How much does this older brother...!"

"Oh, I'm just kidding. Why are you being so serious? You really are serious."

Andrea, his words cut off, looked at Chloe in confusion.

Chloe was not the kind who would obediently do whatever was pressed or bent.

'What is this? It feels like I've lost both my spear and shield.

Not only did she spit out every word she said without giving her a chance to respond, but she also poked at him as if she was breathing, so he couldn't say anything comfortably like before, and broke out in a cold sweat.

Andrea was embarrassed. Sweating in front of Chloe?

“Oh, did you see your mother? She’ll be so happy to know you’re here.”

Chloe jumped up and down, clapping silently in agreement.

"That's right! How happy she must be! She must be waiting for me more than anyone else! My mouth is itchy."

Andrea's gaze wavered at the words that seemed to indicate that she had something to say to Kavala.

“Why...? What’s wrong?”

Then, in an instant, Chloe's expression became innocent.

"Huh? What? Of course, she'd be happy to see me, right? But the daughter she raised like her own is back after a long time. Isn't that right?"

“You said your mouth was itchy?”

“Oh, I’m just itching to tell my mother what married life is like!”

"What."

Andrea snorted in embarrassment.

Anyway, he thought it would be best to take Chloe to Kavala quickly.

He tried to catch Callius but failed, and then Chloe crawled into the palace on her own two feet.

Besides, Chloe grabbed Andrea's arm and dragged him to Kavala before he could guide her.

“Let’s get out of here! We need to say hello to Mother and let everyone know that the Princess has arrived!”

“Yes, let’s go. But, let’s put this aside.”

Chloe's grip on Andrea was incredibly strong.

Andrea writhed in pain, almost being dragged by her.

“It hurts! Let go!”

“Don’t joke around.”

For a moment, Chloe's eyes turned fierce.

Andrea swallowed dryly without realizing it, feeling a chill.

Chloe smiled again, holding onto the curtains covering the terrace as if to say, "When did I ever look at Andrea?"

"Yes, you should introduce me to everyone. Your beloved younger sister came all the way here to celebrate her brother's birthday."

Then, she shoved Andrea into the curtains.

“Hey!”

Andrea, who was pushed into the party hall, flailed his arms and legs awkwardly before finally regaining his balance.

Andrea's face flushed with shame as he realized belatedly that everyone's eyes were on him.

'I'd rather fall down!'

Andrea, unable to contain his anger at having been humiliated in front of the nobles, threw open the curtains.

“What the hell are you doing, Chloe!”

But the person behind the curtain wasn't Chloe.

“Why, why are you yelling, Your Highness?”

A young lady stood there, startled by Andrea's shout and with tears in her eyes.

Andrea looked at her once, then at the crowd again, embarrassed, and then made an excuse.

“Oh, no, Chloe was here just now... It wasn’t this woman, it was Princess Chloe who was here...!”

Andrea went back out onto the terrace and looked for Chloe.

"Chloe! Where did you go all of a sudden? Chloe! Stop fooling around and come out!"

At the sight of Andrea, people craned their necks toward the terrace, looked around, and whispered to each other.

“Her Highness Princess Chloe has arrived.”

“Oh my, really?”

“Is she from Ronheim?”

"How did she get to the party without any notice? When on earth did she even get into the party?"

Meanwhile, the nameless girl, who had been embarrassed by Andrea's nagging and had tears in her eyes, disappeared into the crowd.

Andrea searched desperately for Chloe, but there was not even a shadow of Chloe on the terrace.

“Dude, Chloe was definitely there.”

In the midst of the commotion, Kavala emerged, pushing through the crowd.

Kavala, who had been walking gracefully through the gap between the people like an ebb tide, spoke calmly.

“Andrea. I think you mistook her for someone else.”

“No, Mother. Chloe was definitely here.”

“Andrea.”

“I told you I saw it! We even talked!”

Kavala warned with a wink so that only Andrea could see.

Don't make a fuss.

Andrea's mouth immediately snapped shut at that cold gaze.

Kavala turned to the crowd and dismissed them.

"It seems the Prince's longing for the Princess was so deep that he mistook her for someone else. The bond between siblings was truly heartbreaking. It's nothing serious, so please return to your seats and enjoy your time."

Then Kavala whispered softly to Andrea.

“Follow me.”

***

Andrea was severely reprimanded by Kavala outside the empty party venue.

“Andrea, what the hell is that?”

“Mom, I really saw Chloe! I told you she was on the terrace.”

Kavala sighed.

“You must be drunk.”

He was baffled as to how Chloe had managed to enter the palace without her eyes and ears being able to see her.

To get from Ronheim to Arrental, you had to use a moving magic circle, and then Kavala, who was always watching Ronheim, would have been notified immediately.

'It's the same even if you came by land.'

It's unlikely that the lords of the numerous territories between Ronheim and the capital of Arrental would have planned and kept secret the itinerary of Chloe and her party passing through their territories.

“You should go home early and rest today, Andrea.”

“Mother! Please listen to me...!”

Kavala passed Andrea, who looked like he was going crazy with injustice, and headed back to the party venue.

Behind her, Andrea was pulling out his hair.

“This is something a ghost would cry about!”

***

I hid from a distance and watched Andrea tear out his hair.

It was so hard to hold back laughter.

After Andrea disappeared, grumbling, I bumped palms with Lamia.

“Good job, Lamia!”

"It wasn't anything special. It was simple. I think this kind of acting suits my constitution."

Lamia was proud, saying that even if Callius had seen her imitating me, he would have been confused.

I didn't think that Andrea was fooled by Lamia's acting, but I just let Lamia be happy.

“Let’s hide quickly before anyone sees.”

I led Lamia to the exit of a secret passage where I had placed stones to prevent the door from closing.

The secret passage was for escape purposes, so the door could only be opened from inside the building, so you couldn't get in from the outside, but if you installed a device to prevent the door from closing when you went out from the inside, it could be used as a perfect two-way passage.

'I never thought I'd have another chance to use this know-how.'

Andrea could never have imagined it.

Lamia and I, who had simply entered the capital using Luca's teleportation magic circle, would have appeared before him through a secret passage in the palace without anyone knowing.
