IWAEBS - Chapter 167 < Aren't you lonely alone? >

"I-I'm sorry!"

A few seconds later, this time Catherine quickly ran away after the Princess.

It happened so quickly that I couldn't even stop her.

"Hey, hey! You crazy bitches! If you get out of here, I won't leave you alone!!"

Melanie swore.

"Your Majesty, the Empress!"

I looked down at her, who had been blankly staring at the door at Sharon's voice.

"There's something like a mural here... "

Sharon held the oil lamp she was holding and held it against the wall exposed by the star-shaped wind.

I crouched down while stepping on the top and examined the place Sharon was illuminating.

Oh, there was a mural drawn on the wall showing the way out of here.

But there was a 'condition'.

Damn it.

"Your Majesty, the Empress, get out quickly! We'll all die like this, hurry!"

Sharon noticed this and looked up at me, and stamped her foot.

“Don’t say that, Sharon.”

“No, you need to think rationally! Hurry up!”

“Shut up. This is an order.”

I spoke firmly to Sharon, then to Rosie, Melanie, and Empress Elan, who were standing on top.

“First, let’s pull them up one by one and then get out. I’ll explain later, so just pull them up.”

There was no time. The star continued to rotate.

I told Melanie, who was the weakest, to stand on the top, and I pulled Sharon and Pecilini up, Rosie pulled Misha up, and Empress Elan pulled Hedon up.

As I pulled up, everyone in the star, the star began to spin faster and sink further down.

I took a deep breath, let it out, and opened my mouth.

“As the Empress, I order you all to get out of here.”

“Your Majesty! This is ridiculous!”

Everyone shouted at the same time.

“If you look at the mural, one person must stand on top. Otherwise, that door will close right away.”

I stepped on the top with one foot and said,

“I, I’ll stay!”

Sharon raised her hand with a trembling voice.

At that moment, goblin fire began to appear on the opposite wall.

“No, you can’t deal with them. I need to stay here. Empress Elan, take everyone out. Please.”

“Then I’ll stay here too!”

Rosie cried.

“Don’t worry, Rosie. According to the mural, if we just get rid of those goblin fires, we can get out of here.”

“Ha, but...!”

“You’ll only be a nuisance if you stay here. So get out.”

Rosie and Sharon burst into tears at my words.

I was on the verge of tears, but I didn’t have the luxury of crying along with them.

“Empress Elan, the door is closing. Hurry up, hurry!”

Empress Elan also hesitated, unable to do anything.

I had no choice but to push them all toward the door.

They were all pushed out by me in a daze.

As I stepped off the top, the star-shaped shape sank underground with a loud noise.

Everyone screamed with terrified faces at the sound.

“Please, come out alive, Your Majesty!”

Sharon shouted at me as the door closed.

I smiled, but everyone else seemed to have missed my last smile because the door closed at the same time as they cried.

That bothered me.

Now I was completely alone.

Two black dots blinked in the fire. Looking closely, they were the eyes of the goblin fires.

The goblin fires even had eyes.

“Do you think you can kill me with such a small fire?”

I drew my sword and shouted at the goblin fires.

“Come!”

The goblin fires, as if they had been waiting, charged at me.

‘Can you strike that with your sword?’

I clenched my sword’s handle with both hands and stepped back to gain distance, but KWAAAAH!

Suddenly, flames shot out from behind me.

The goblin fires rushing toward me and the flames shooting out from behind me collided.

Then, comically, the goblin fires scattered into the air with the sound of breaking glass.

I looked back in surprise.

"It's nothing but playing with fire, Moiya~!"

Moiya was leisurely folding his arms and flapping his wings in the air.

"You, how did you get here?"

“I transformed into an orange butterfly and followed you around after attaching myself to Rosie’s head. I was resting against the wall when I forgot and fell asleep, right?”

“So you’re saying you fell asleep and couldn’t go out and ended up staying here?”

“I could have gone out, but if I went that far, my master would be alone. It’d be too lonely alone, Moiya~.”

It was absurd, but Moiya really gave me strength.

“...Yeah, thank you. But it could be dangerous.”

“Ow? They say dangerous things are adventures, right? This is exciting! Yes~.”

Moiya raised both hands and waved them from side to side.

He really seemed to be enjoying this situation.

“It means you could die. Do you understand?”

“Yes! I did. Moiya has good ears.”

“..mYeah, I see.”

“Stop playing with fireworks and attack all at once. The great Wyvern will play with you!”

Moiya put both hands on her waist and shouted at the goblin fires.

“Moiya... I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

I wanted to cover Moiya’s mouth.

The goblin fires understood Moiya’s words, as fist-sized flames appeared here and there all at once.

“Oh? You have eyes?”

Moiya taunted the goblin fires by blinking their black eyes.

Then the goblin fires rose higher and grew bigger as if they were angry.

“Haaam. Wow, they even have emotions.”

The incarnation yawned and appeared.

“You always show up after something happens?”

I got angry at the incarnation inside me.

“Zelda, I told you before, I’m not someone who helps you. I’m just a temporary traveler.”

“If you live off of me, shouldn’t you help me when I’m in danger?”

I argued with the incarnation in frustration, and it said,

“I don’t expect anything from you. I hope you don’t expect anything from me either.”

The incarnation lightly accepted my words.

Moiya, who could hear the incarnation, glared at the center of my chest and spoke. It seemed that the incarnation had entered this area.

“That incarnation is a piece of shit, Moiya~?”

Right now, the three of us need to work together, but I have no idea how I could combine my strengths with these two.

“Zelda, focus on your sword. And I think you’ll heat the blade with your fire energy.”

The incarnation said seriously.

“Is that possible?”

“Don’t you know? You have to do it.”

“...Hey, what I’m saying is! Do I have the ability to do it?”

“Even if you couldn’t do it before, you have to do it now?”

It’s easy to say.

“Haa. This is driving me crazy, really.”

Dozens of goblin fires suddenly swelled and surrounded Moiya in the middle.

“They have different fire attributes.”

The incarnation advised me.

“What?”

“The fire energy you have and that goblin fires aren’t the same fire.”

“All fire is the same fire, what’s the difference?”

I asked the incarnation, looking around at the black eyes in the goblin fires glaring at me.

‘Those are the fires of the devil.’

“...Devil?!”

What is that?

“I thought fire was creepy! They can’t even cook sausages, right?”

Moiya said nervously, looking around the goblin fires.

‘They say that if you get hit by the devil’s fire, you’ll get burned and your whole body will tremble in fear until you die. Be careful.’

“Is that all you can say in this situation?”

I asked the incarnation, wary of the goblin fires.

‘Oh, I forgot to mention that. Come on!’

“...Let’s stop talking.”

As soon as I finally shut my mouth, a goblin fires rushed at me in an instant.

I pulled back and slashed the goblin fires with my sword.

However, the goblin fires split in half and then reconnected.

I could hear the goblin fires giggling here and there, as if they were mocking me.

“What, why aren’t you dead?”

‘Focus. I told you to put your fire energy into the sword?’

I looked down at the blade I was holding with both hands.

Put the fire energy into the blade.

Put it in.

Please move it.

I kept repeating this in my head as if reciting a spell, but this fire energy was nowhere to be found. It usually mercilessly radiates heat as if it’s going to boil me, but now that I’m trying to use it, it’s ignoring me?

“If I die, it’s all over. If you don’t mind, just hide.”

I muttered while threatening the fire energy.

While I was concentrating on my sword, thankfully, Moiya was blocking the goblin fires attacking me with his own fire.

It seemed that the wyvern’s fire could dispel goblin fires containing demonic energy.

“Master, the fire energy isn’t being handled yet?”

“Uh...”

Moiya flinched and acted childish at my uncertain answer.

“Oh my, it’s my throat! Who’s causing it... The baby wyvern is trying too hard.”

Even though he was openly saying that it was my fault... he seemed to think that he was being considerate and talking indirectly. He was secretly feeding me by calling me ‘Master, Master’?

“Moiya, hold on a little longer. I’ll give you lots of sausages later.”

If I could survive here.

I persuaded Moiya without taking my eyes off the blade.

“Ow? I’ll block it until my throat bleeds for you, Master! Kwaaak-!”

Moiya’s red eyes widened at the mention of sausages, and he began to spit fire at the goblin fires.

Still, it wasn’t enough to deal with all of these, so I continued to concentrate my mind to control the fire energy.

Moiya was blocking the goblin fires coming at me, but it wasn’t perfect, so I had no choice but to dodge the goblin fires that flew here and there.

‘If you can’t block them here, these goblin fires could attack other people.’

“Ah...”

‘It could be Prince Tesla, but it could also be Emperor Linel?’

“!”

My heart pounded when I heard the incarnation.

I didn’t want to be the one who was wrong here, but I was angry when I imagined Linel shivering in fear from being hit by this goblin's fires and dying.

He was already shivering from the cold!

“Master, on the right, be careful!”

Moiya shouted urgently.

Got it!

I felt the heat flowing from my hand to the handle of the sword.

I raised my head and swung my sword in the direction Moiya had told me.

Surprisingly, the goblin fires that had just passed through my blade suddenly burst into thin air with a “snap-snap” sound like glass breaking.

As I swung my sword, all the goblin fires were shattered. As I split the fires, I could hear the sound of glass breaking, so I enjoyed shattering them one by one.

“Oh yeah, it’s fun to fight with the master, Moiya~!”

Moiya also had fun when I joined in, so he flew around and focused the goblin fires in one spot and blew out fire.

I smiled happily at the cute way he was using his brain, and then I saw a shape appear and disappear on the wall in front of me.

“What the hell is that?”

“A demon.”

The incarnation replied indifferently.

“What?! A demon?”

The fading figure was surprised by my words, then disappeared and reappeared with a flash.

I split the last remaining goblin fires into four pieces and shouted at the incarnation again.

"A demon?!"

"... Yes."

"!"

The answer came from an unexpected place.

What kind of demon would answer timidly and formally?

"Oh? The demon is really polite, isn't he, Moiya~?"

Moiya flew to the place where the figure appeared on the wall.

"No. It's dangerous, Moiya!"

Roxana returned to the dukedom after the pain in the magic tower had subsided a little.

After sending out all the servants except Nancy, she took off her dress in front of the front mirror and examined her back.

According to Logan, the fever rising in her body was a pain she had to endure on her own for the time being. She had received a pain-relieving potion, but it only reduced the intensity of the pain a little and could not completely eliminate it.

Her back was truly horrible.

The scars from the whip she had been whipped with by her father were clearly visible.

The anger she had been holding in toward her father seemed to be resurfacing.

Roxana cooled down with a cold bath and went back to her room.

“Miss, the designer from Celine’s dress shop has come to see you.”

“Why is she here?”

“The Duke sent her to... have your wedding dress... tailored.”

“Oh, yes. The wedding dress. I need to get it tailored.”

Roxana took off her gown, checked the red scars on her back that had not yet disappeared, and said to Nancy.

“Let them in.”

Nancy let the designer, Ebel, who was waiting outside the door, in at her command.

“Hello, Princess. It is a great honor to be in charge of designing your wedding dress.”

Roxana looked at the dress designer, Ebel.

Judging from her bright face, it seemed that she had already been paid by her father.

“Please take care of it.”

“Yes, before we take measurements, is there a design you would like, Princess?”

The designer took out a notepad from her bag and asked.

“The front can be as slit as you want, but I would like it to be completely covered in the back. Is that possible?”

“Yes? The back?”

She asked Roxana again, wondering if she had misheard.

Although conservative noblewomen sometimes wanted wedding dresses that covered their chests, this was the first time she had asked for a back that was covered.

“Yes. I just want the back to be uncovered. And I don’t really care about anything else.”

Roxana went to her dressing table and took out a sapphire from her jewelry box and handed it to the designer.

The designer was stunned by the sapphire Roxana handed her, but then looked at her with a bewildered expression. Her eyes were asking why she was giving her this.

“Take it. There’s something else you shouldn’t expose besides my back.”

“Just tell me what you want. I won’t reveal any of your information, especially your physical characteristics.”

The designer quickly took the sapphire and said.

“Good. Then let’s talk about the design while taking measurements.”

“Yes, Princess.”

The designer smiled and put the sapphire Roxana gave her in her bag, then took out a measuring tape.

In the meantime, Roxana took off the gown she was wearing.

“Oh my gosh!”

The designer fell backwards in shock after seeing Roxana’s back covered in whip scars.

“What the hell are you talking about! Where is the Empress imprisoned?!”

Linel’s scream rang out loudly through the monastery lobby.

He felt his heart sink as he heard the story of the situation in the wine cellar from Rosie.

His soul was already unstable.

“Sob, sob, no matter how much we tried to stop her, the Empress said it was okay...”

Princess Resilia suddenly burst into tears and grabbed Linel’s arm, hanging on.

“The Princess was the first to jump out!”

Melanie shouted, shoving Princess Resilia’s shoulder.

“That’s right. If it weren’t for the Princess, we could’ve all escaped together!”

When Rosie saw Princess Resilia sobbing, she glared at her as if she was going to hit her.

“Everyone, don’t frame me!”

Princess Resilia shed tears and made a scared expression on her face.

“T-that’s right, the situation was so urgent. We can’t just blame Princess Resilia...”

Catherine, who had run out the door after Princess Resilia, cautiously took the Princess’s side.

Then Rosie, Melanie, and everyone else in the wine cellar glared at the two of them with resentful looks.

‘Please, Zelda... !!’

In the meantime, Linel drew his sword and ran towards where she was trapped at a frightening speed.
