THIBV - Chapter 81

At the time, Isaac was blinded by the thought that he would be able to fully enter the aristocratic society through Bridget, and he quickly signed even though he knew it.

Of course, he didn't expect Bridget to turn out like this.

Isaac had nothing to say.

Eleanor alone grabbed the back of her neck.

"What, what did you say?"

"So, this is a proposal I am making out of generosity. Either you register Penelope's child or your nephew. As the mistress, I have to take responsibility for the succession issue."

Eleanor looked at Benjamin.

Benjamin looked determined.

Eleanor's mind was racing.

Now it was Benjamin who was supporting her. If she abandoned Benjamin, Eleanor would have nowhere to go. She had clearly felt this from Isaac's attitude earlier.

Penelope felt ashamed when she saw Eleanor, who had always been upright, become speechless and lose her courage.

"Hey! Do you really have to do this to me? Huh? You bitch!"

Penelope, unable to control her temper, rushed at Bridget.

But Daisy held Penelope's hair tightly, preventing her from touching Bridget with even a single finger.

"How dare you talk to my sister!"

"Ahh!"

"Daisy, what are you doing? In my house!"

"Don't touch my wife, brother! You brought this on yourself!"

Four people were stuck together.

Bridget stood up quietly.

Eleanor, who had risked her life to keep Bridget from leaving, just sat there in a daze.

"When you have agreed on a solution, write to me. I will follow your suggestions."

Bridget left the Winston mansion.

The reason I didn't divorce Isaac was because I wanted to wield this power.

***

I hummed and leaned against the carriage wall.

Anna placed a soft cushion behind my back.

Anna, who had been hearing all the commotion outside, cheered.

"This is really a mess! The lady opened the door to the living room and came out, and behind her, they were making a scene. It was a total mess. Oh my, how funny. Other people should have seen this!"

Anna smiled playfully and straightened my messy hair.

"Now, you will return to the palace. Take a bath in the hot water. I will give you a massage.

"I feel excited just hearing it."

I also wanted to go back quickly, dissolve some nice-smelling perfume in the water, and soak my body in it.

Even though I had planned this in advance, I was still quite nervous, as my neck was stiff.

As soon as I returned to my rooms in the palace, I had Anna prepare a bath.

I quickly became tired after soaking in the steaming hot water.

I enjoyed Anna's careful hands caressing my hair with my eyes closed.

"I'll bring some massage oil and give you a massage."

"Yes."

Anna, who had finished washing my hair, went outside.

The bathroom door opened and closed again as if she had returned not long after leaving.

"You came quickly."

I muttered, still with my eyes closed, as I smelled the scent of the perfume dissolved in the water.

"Ah, that feels good."

"What good things happened when you went to Winston Mansion?"

I opened her eyes in surprise.

I thought Anna was settling down to give me a massage, but Julian was leaning against the bathtub.

When I looked back, I realized that the bathroom was filled with a magical energy like steam.

He looked a little angry. No, maybe it was impatience? Anxiety?

"Julian."

He dripped water on my shoulder as if he was playing with his hand.

I was conscious of Julian's gaze.

I dove a little deeper into the water.

The movement caused waves to form, briefly raising the water level.

It was heartbreaking to see the efforts of the body trying to hide itself by relying on the cloudy water made by the perfume.

Julian felt a low sense of satisfaction, from my shyness and helplessness.

The sharp feeling was slightly relieved.

"Mileah told me that you went to Winston's mansion today."

"Did you find me?"

"That's right."

"I didn't hear anything. If you had told the maids, I would have come to see you before taking a bath. Was it urgent?"

What on earth could have happened that made you invade my bathroom, while I was taking a bath?

"It was urgent."

It was past tense.

"Wouldn't anyone be anxious if they heard that you went alone to meet the man who traded you like a sex slave, almost killed you, and threatened you like it was nothing?"

Ah. Julian wanted to call me back from Winston Mansion rather than having something to see.

"You were worried that Isaac would hurt me."

"Worried? That's just a joke about the lump of curses I'm wielding as I cut down your name."

Julian laughed.

"The thing in your shadow is a monster that craves blood and death. That guy can't even touch a single hair on your head."

Those words were actually directed at me.

Yes, Isaac could no longer physically touch me. But Julian was always worried about what Isaac might do to me next.

He denied it, but Bridget was right. He was worried about her.

So when he heard she was back, he ran over to check on her.

The Black Knight could block physical assault but was helpless against other assaults.

Julian was worried that Bridget might come back emotionally broken.

He couldn't honestly say that when she denied even asking if he was worried.

'Oh, that kid. He's annoying. Should I just kill him?'

Why should I grant Bridget's request?

It would be no easy task to wipe out the entire Winston family overnight as if they had never existed.

The Winston family, with its lack of foundation, will soon be forgotten.

It's a very simple and trivial problem.

He felt like he was going to get a heart attack if she kept holding on to something like that.

Julian's gaze was fixed intently on somewhere on Bridget's forehead. Her eyes narrowed.

Bridget's forehead was suspiciously dented by fingernail marks.

What is this?

He didn't know what it was, but it was unpleasant.

"Should I hold you, who asked me to save him, responsible for this discomfort?"

Julian avoided the word jealousy. It was too hurtful to use it against Isaac.

He pressed his finger against Bridget's forehead, against that suspicious mark.

Bridget sank slightly into the water.

She, whose lips had been locked, let out a grumbling "Ugh" and pushed his hand away.

Julian's head tilted slightly.

I just liked that...

He smiled faintly, and then his mouth fell open in surprise.

'What are you doing, Julian? Are you angry, are you playing a prank?'

It's not like he couldn't wait outside, but he barged in and wondered what he wanted to do here.

He doesn't know.

He knows for sure that his emotions fluctuate like crazy.

"Don't worry about him. You are my real husband now."

Bridget reminded him of that fact.

"Because he has given you all the rights of a husband."

The resulting farce caused Bridget to suddenly burst into mischievous laughter.

Even though she knew it was an Insensitive laugh in this situation, it was hard to hold back the laughter that was leaking out.

"My mother-in-law found out about that story today. The house was in chaos. They were fighting and grabbing each other's hair. It was really funny. You should have seen it."

Julian stared blankly at Bridget, who was smiling mischievously.

He felt bad because he liked seeing her smile.

"Don't laugh about things that happened when I wasn't there."

His possessiveness was Ignited. The sense of reason that he had just barely managed to control suddenly disappeared.

"I told you. Whether you laugh or cry, it's all because of me."

Ah, now I get it.

This is what he wanted to do from the beginning when he came here.

Splash!

Julian, not caring that his clothes were getting wet, put his hands under Bridget's armpits and lifted her up.

"Oh."

Bridget's body dangled.

Chook.

The bath water that had flowed up overflowed out of the tub and soaked Julian's clothes.

Julian didn't care.

He placed her on his lap, took her lower lip in his mouth, and sucked it gently.

Bridget's face, wide-eyed in confusion, instantly turned red as if the rice paper had absorbed red water.

She couldn't believe that she was lying on his lap with her naked body.

'Ugh...'

She looked shy and shut her eyes tightly.

Her feet were trembling and her shoulders were hunched in embarrassment, but she didn't mind Julian being impatient with her.
