Rahon glared at Ian, who was lying face down on the bed, with white eyes.
Soon a chewed-out voice came out through his teeth.
"Why on earth aren't you waking up? Wake up now."
The detoxification is complete. But I don't know why I can't come to my senses.
Now, he is starting to doubt whether his medical skills have deteriorated.
Rahon bit his lips and ran his hands through his hair.
"That can't be true."
No matter how hard Rahon studied not to rely on authority, this was Ian's problem.
"You have to get up. Millenia is crying again."
She shouldn't cry. It'll give him a headache.
He's done all he can to treat Ian. All that's left is his powers, and there's still no sign of them returning.
Rahon focused his consciousness on Ian's hands once more. There was no heat at all when he exerted his power.
It was the price paid for exploding with power when Millenia fell a few days ago.
It was the first time he had ever been so flustered. It was only when the power stopped coming that he realized he had simply fainted.
"Oh, it's still so embarrassing..."
He rested his chin on his hand and stared at Ian.
His eyes were fixed on Ian, but his mind was full of the Millenia he had seen in the morning.
Her face, the size of a fist, was pale and haggard as if she had not slept at all.
The moment Rahon saw that sight, he got so annoyed.
"Are you that worried about Ian?!"
Rahon wanted to scream so badly, but he held it back by clenching his fist. When he looked later, he saw that there were nail marks on his palm.
Rahon let out a deep sigh. He felt suffocated.
During the day, Millenia plans to install Kalit as Emperor, and at night, she loses sleep worrying about Ian.
"Then me?"
Rahon, who had been absentmindedly asking a question, lowered his head.
Apparently, until recently, he had been thinking of distancing himself from Millenia.
But now that he feels like he's being pushed away by Millenia. He's starting to feel impatient.
'Even I think it's ridiculous.'
Maybe he secretly hoped that even if he kept his distance, Millenia wouldn't do the same.
He knew it was selfish, but he still felt greedy. To be honest, Rahon didn't like having a man next to Millenia.
'When I was young, you used to chase after me.'
"Don't go. Live with me at my house."
"If you tell me in ten years, I'll think about it."
The corners of Rahon's mouth, recalling the past, slowly hardened into a soft line.
A thought suddenly occurred to him.
If Millenia finds her past memories will she look back at me?
Wouldn't she like to be the little kid who always chased after me, saying let's live together?
In fact, he said he would make a drug that would restore her memories, but it was something he didn't mean.
He fed it to the child knowing what kind of aftereffects it would leave. It was dangerous to touch and memorize.
'But if it's done well...!'
Wouldn't it be okay if he made it well while minimizing the aftereffects? If there's a problem, he can just heal it with his power.
"Wow, I'm going to die."
Rahon buried his face in his hands.
He didn't know what to do with his growing greed.

It was only natural that the castle of Eldern would be turned upside down when the little Duke returned from the festival poisoned.
Duke Eldern dispatched his knight countered at the time and investigated the girl's appearance.
But strangely enough, no one remembered exactly what the girl looked like.
Some said the girl had red hair, others said she had black hair. Some said she was not a girl at all, but a woman in her early twenties.
It seemed like I was the only one who could remember the girl's exact appearance.
"Then what should I do? I can't say anything."
In these circumstances, there was no way the Knights could find the girl.
Anyway, the girl would have left Eldern immediately after the assassination attempt. Even if we had known her appearance, we would not have been able to find her.
Three more days passed after that.
Ian was still unconscious.
I asked, looking at the roaring flames in the fireplace.
"Nadia, have you heard from the Little Duke yet?"
"Yes, not yet... Should I go check?"
"No. if he wakes up, someone will tell me."
Is it because there was too much time delay until the detoxification? Is that why he can't wake up?
'At that time. I had to suck out the poison at all costs...'
A feeling of guilt began to build up in my heart.
Why didn't I check with Baba to see if he had dealt with the guard? Why did I follow him to the festival?
It was a choice I would never have made if I had just come back from the dead. Did I relax without realizing it?
Didn't I realize that the sharp blade of revenge had become dull because I was spending happy times with good people?
"No way."
The hatred towards Oslo has only grown stronger, not weaker. The same holds true for Sierra. The reason I let my guard down was because I had the deep belief that Rahon would heal me no matter what happened.
I felt ashamed of myself for relying so heavily on Rahon, even though I knew that the Guardian's power was not infinite.
I bit my lips tightly as if I was going to let out a sigh. Then I opened my eyes.
'Oslo, look what you did to me. You made me want to kill you.'
Oslo is a member of the royal family, and even attempting to harm them could result in execution for treason.
So, for the sake of my family and my safety, it was right to keep him
alive.
Moreover, death was too merciful a punishment for Oslo.
As a human being, I planned to make it so that he would suffer more from a shameful life than a clean death.
But the urge to kill Oslo did not go away.
Just wait a moment.
I'll return the pain I've suffered to you, so try to fight back and endure it.
I will watch you like that with a smile.
"Ha..."
I pressed my temple hard.
My headache, which had started the day Ian lost consciousness, was getting worse.
Nadia spoke cautiously.
"Miss, do you have a headache again?"
"Um... a little."
"Shall I bring you some medicine?"
"Not to that extent."
"Lord Rahon said so. The little Duke will wake up safely. So don't worry too much."
"Yes..."
At that moment, Vivian came into the bedroom with a knock. Her usually calm expression was strangely recalled.
"Miss, Lord Rahon's powers just returned!"
The employees knew that Rahon was currently unable to use his powers. They also knew that it would take time for him to regain his powers.
I kicked the chair and got up.
"Nadia!"
"Yes, Miss. Take my hand. I will take you there."
When I went to Ian's bedroom, Rahon was already laying Ian down properly as if he had been healed.
Rahon frowned when he saw me.
"What's wrong with your face?"
"Yes?"
"Why are you so pale? Are you sick?"
"Ah... No, I guess it's because I've been having trouble sleeping lately."
Rahon's eyebrows rose as if in displeasure.
"Were you so worried about Ian that you couldn't sleep?"
How many times has Ian been in danger because of me? As I silently lowered my head, Rahon's expression softened.
"I healed him with my power. He'll be up soon."
Ian had already completed the detoxification process with Rahon's medical skills.
However, because the time spent poisoned was so long, it was taking too long for him to regain consciousness.
Now that Rahon used his powers, he'll wake up soon.
Even though I knew it, my feet wouldn't move. I thought I would feel relieved if I saw Ian open his eyes. Rahon let out a long sigh as he looked at me standing there blankly.
Then he sat me down on the chair next to the bed and lifted the blanket covering Ian's back.
"Just touch it."
