THIBV - Chapter 15

The unbearable days continued.

Isaac and Penelope spent their nights in secret around the mansion as if marking their territory while the employees slept.

One day, Penelope, almost naked, passed by me, who was taking a night walk because I couldn't sleep.

"Oh. Bridget! You didn't sleep? Look at me. Isaac wouldn't let me go all night, so I'm running away!"

Penelope smiled like a child, her hair a mess and her cheeks flushed.

Soon after, Isaac followed, also naked, along with Penelope.

Isaac, who had been playing an unhealthy game of tag, frowned as soon as he saw me.

"Why are you wandering around at this hour of the night?"

"It would be bad for the employees to see this kind of thing."

I didn't feel like it, but I spoke with a sense of responsibility. Then Isaac's cold gaze turned sharply upon me.

"You're trying to teach me in my mansion. Aren't you just jealous? That's really ugly."

Jealous? Ugly?

'...'

My expression, which had been kept calm, cracked.

I was thinking of holding out for a little longer since it was time for Millea to contact me.

But this...

'It's the limit.'

I didn't want to get involved in that childish shit.

It was a blow to my pride to be angry at such a shallow provocation.

But Isaac managed to stab me in the ribs.

The next evening.

While the employees were in bed, Isaac and Penelope were still spending time in Penelope's room on the second floor.

I quietly left the room.

There were many portraits on the walls of the central staircase in the lobby.

Framed portraits of the former Viscount and Viscountess Winston, their relatives and acquaintances, adorned the walls.

The surface of the painting, which had been treated with preservatives, sparkled in the moonlight.

I stood before the largest of them all, the portrait of Viscount Winston.

'Just watch, Father, what a foolish thing your son does to bring shame to the family.'

I reached out.

Then, a black mist emerged from within my shadow, along with a faint light.

It stuck to the portrait and gradually took root, becoming more and more clumpy.

I had a secret I had never told anyone.

My ability wasn't limited to purifying magic.

My abilities include storing magic in the shadows and even extracting what I have stored.

Ssssssssss.

This afternoon, I gathered enough magic energy and stored it in the shadows.

They wriggled and clung to the portrait, gradually forming a lump.

Amazingly, the lump resembled the appearance of the former Viscount Winston in the portrait.

The magic attached to an object sometimes imitates the shape of that object.

It was one of the phenomena caused by magic energy condensed in the shade for a long time.

The lobby was neither shady nor had enough magic.

So, originally, it was a place where magic in this form could not have been created.

However, thanks to my ability, the portrait was filled with the magical energy that had accumulated over a very long time and took shape.

It does not cause physical harm to people.

However, a very interesting phenomenon could occur.

I glanced at the black mass that bore the silhouette of the former Viscount Winston before turning back to my room.

Soon, the footsteps of Penelope and Isaac, who were enjoying their secret love affair during this time zone, approached where I was standing.

"Where would be good to go today?"

Penelope affectionately slapped Isaac's chest, which was sticky and asking for something.

"Oh my, how cheeky."

"I like the way your voice resonates through a large space."

"Really? Why?"

"It feels like we're alone in the world."

Isaac pulled Penelope up and pulled her skirt up to her thighs.

Penelope lifted her legs and put them around Isaac's waist.

"Then this place would be good."

A spacious space with just the right amount of sound. The lobby was perfect.

Isaac pulled Penelope close and hugged her.

He pulled down his trousers.

"When the sun rises, the employees will come and go here. They won't even know that we did this."

The idea of doing the most private and secret act in a place with lots of people walking by during the day excited the two of them.

It was also funny how I knew all this and pretended not to know.

"Oh! Don't rush too much. The baby in your stomach will be startled."

"Has it grown that much already? It's still flat."

"The doctor... Ugh, but don't do it too hard. Haha, it tickles!"

"There's no way my child would be that weak, it's okay."

Isaac and Penelope stood leaning against the wall of the stairs, lustily admiring each other.

Penelope's back and head hit the frame with a small thud.

It was a picture frame belonging to the former Viscount Winston.

"Well, my father is watching our production of heirs closely. I have to work hard."

"Can't stop it!"

Isaac chuckled, and Penelope slapped him on the shoulder.

It was when the two people's thick breathing mixed roughly.

Gooooooooo.

She felt something creepy.

Penelope hugged Isaac tightly.

"Aren't you feeling cold all of a sudden?"

It was the end of winter, but it was still quite cold at night.

Originally, it was so hot that they wouId sweat while being tangled together like this, so even the chill was welcome.

But now, even though she was hugging him, she strangely felt goosebumps all over her body.

"I'll make it hotter."

Thinking that Penelope was being cute, Isaac continued patting her on the back and doing what he was doing.

"No, doesn't it make you feel creepy? The air is stuffy."

"What the heck is going on. Gasp."

Isaac flinched as he felt something dark pass by him.

"Didn't something just happen?"

"What's going on? Oh my, are you trying to scare me?"

Is this an Illusion?

Isaac tried to continue what he was doing.

"Hey, he's dead, Help me, Penelope."

Gooooooooo

"Oh, just now again!"

Isaac flinched and looked from side to side.

"What do you mean there is something like that?"

"No. really..."

Gooooooooo

Then a black shape suddenly appeared above Penelope's head.

"Ugj!"

Isaac screamed and pushed Penelope.

"Oh!"

Instead of Penelope, who had her back against the wall, it was Isaac himself who was bounced off.

"Isaac, watch out!"

"Ugh! Ghost! Aaaah!"

Isaac, who had fallen to the floor with a thud, struggled and pointed behind Penelope.

A black shadow, the silhouette of the former Viscount Winston, suddenly emerged from the frame and headed towards Isaac.

Penelope also saw it vaguely in her eyes.

"Ugh!"

"Ahhhh!"

The two men ran away in different directions, screaming.

Isaac stumbled backward on his haunches and ended up rolling down the stairs.

His screams echoed loudly throughout the mansion, accompanied by a loud crashing sound.

The commotion sent the butlers and servants running out in their pajamas, panicking.

"What's the matter!"

"What, what is it?"

The employees who had been flicking the lit candles here and there froze with their mouths wide open...

Penelope, her clothes disheveled and shabby, was huddled in the corner of the stairs, shivering.

When she saw the people, she gave a short scream and pulled up her flowing clothes to cover her naked body.

At the bottom of the stairs, Isaac was lying in a slouched position with his lower body exposed.

"Ugh Ugh..."

"Oh, my lord?"

Isaac, who had been groaning, came to his senses upon hearing the butler's voice.

It was blinding.

He squinted his eyes, blocking the light with his hand, and saw countless gazes looking down at him. To be exact, his lower body.

"Whoa! Everyone, turn your eyes! Turn your eyes!"

Isaac quickly covered the vital area.

The employees turned around and giggled.

Isaac got up in a huff, pushed past the employees, and ran upstairs.

He rolled down the stairs and didn't even feel any pain.

The butler shouted after Isaac and Penelope as they ran away.

"Should I call a doctor? Yes?"

There was no answer from either of them.

  1. But why were they even doing it all over the house like that? Have they lost it?
