TPITT - Chapter 96

“This is Count Sanchez.”

Alben answered as if he had been waiting.

Of course, Hosen did not admit it.

He broke free from Michael's hand and fell flat on his face before Eve.

“It’s a conspiracy! You must not be fooled, Your Highness!”

"It's true. The Count used magic to sneak up on the well and let the black liquid flow in. I and Sir Agneto saw clearly."

Hosen snorted.

“What do you see? For now, what is the person who used the ‘transparency magic’ doing? It's a kid monstrosity kid who is blind to success! Your Highness, please take action!”

Hosen felt elated at the thought that he had successfully exploited the weak point.

It was around this time that the exaggerated appeals continued.

A mocking laughter fell over Hosen's head.

It was Michael.

Instead of correcting what exactly he saw, he pointed to another part.

“Count Sanchez, how did you know it was an invisibility spell? Lord Redmon just said he used magic.”

“That, that’s...! I just thought that invisibility magic might be the right way to hide his identity...!”

“Did you take a picture?”

“That’s right!”

Hosen added words as he could.

His eyes rolled from side to side in impatience.

Of course, those gathered at the well did not believe Hosen's words.

Even the homunculus was just glaring at Hosen with eyes of distrust.

There was only one person who came out favorably.

It was Eve.

“I trust Count Sanchez’s instincts.”

“Your Highness...!”

A ray of hope flashed across his ugly face.

It was the moment when Hosen was thinking about roasting and boiling the Princess who was ignorant of the ways of the world.

I didn't let his hopes last long.

"It must be the criminal who has the magic of transparency left. It hasn't been long since he used magic, so I'll be able to find it quickly."

I tried to touch him myself to check for traces of mana.

Then Hosen was startled and avoided the hand.

“It’s a conspiracy! It’s definitely a conspiracy!”

"Conspiracy? Who? The word 'transparency magic' comes from your own mouth. There's no way you're going to frame yourself... Am I the one then?"

“Oh, no, that’s not what I meant... !”

There was no room for excuses.

As soon as he got the excuse, Michael immediately pulled out his Night Ray and swung it downwards.

Kwajik!

Even though it was a light movement, the front of Hosen's foot dug deep.

“What kind of safety are you talking about? Don’t insult Her Highness the 7th Princess.”

The cold air almost made Hosen vomit.

Meanwhile, it wasn't just Hosen who was affected by Michael's wrath.

The surrounding homunculus each groaned softly.

They were influenced by the atmosphere created by their King.

That's when Alben stepped forward.

“Tsk! No matter how cornered you are, you shouldn’t speak carelessly, Count Sanchez. This is an incident that tried to harm the Emperor's asset, Homunculus. would Her ighness the 7th Princess, handle her affairs in vain? Her Highness has cured even incurable diseases under her filial piety to His Majesty."

“Well, please still observe the fairness of the procedure. I, Sir Natasha Emrick, will cooperate if he comes and detects the magic spirit."

It was clear that the magic of transparency was a trick to take time until the energy of the magic of transparency was scattered.

But I laughed.

“Good. It’ll be here soon anyway.”

"Yes?"

It was when Hosen made a stupid face.

A path opened up again between the densely packed homunculus.

It was just as I predicted.

Natasha appeared during the commotion and bowed before me.

“Natasha Emrick reports urgently to Your Highness.”

Her tone was more serious than ever as if she was signaling a serious situation.

“It has been revealed that two wizards of the ivory tower were in collusion with Count Sanchez. Both the traitors are locked in the dungeon of Baron Panelo. As of now, upon interrogation, it was confirmed that one of them had given Count Sanchez a scroll of invisibility magic.”

“That, that...!”

There's no need to use search magic in a blank bag.

"Conspiracy...!"

"Count Sanchez, you are a broken golem, but you've been saying all this time that you're just a conspiracy, huh?"

"But I feel wronged. It’s so unfair. Just now, there was no evidence."

"Ah. It's done."

"Yes?"

Hosen's eyes were greatly shaken by the words that they were evidence, not witnesses.

I raised my hands in the air.

Then Amber, who had been on Michael's shoulder, flew over and landed on my finger.

“Let me introduce you to my guardian golem, Amber. I just told you, that I was watching you with Lord Agnito."

Since the Guardian Golem is a superior version of the Watcher Golem, it naturally has a watcher function as well.

As evidence, it was most effective because it was present at the scene.

“N, no way..."

“Yes. You are definitely caught red-handed.”

There was no way out from the beginning.

Hosen, who had become lost in thought, immediately fell face down.

“Your Highness! Please have mercy... Kk, aaak!”

Hosen fell to the ground with a scream before finishing his words.

It was a sinking spell.

“There is no prison in Lapis Village, you know. You have to stay there until you enter the Baron’s dungeon.”

“Please, Your Highness! Have mercy!”

Perhaps concerned that my heart might weaken due to her earnest plea, Alben pretended to be a loyal subject and offered advice.

“Ah, Your Highness! This is truly a terrible incident. What would you have done if the thirsty homunculus had not recognized the contamination at night and had drunk water? Homunculus is the exclusive property of His Majesty! Anyone who has attempted to cause a loss by using even a prohibited poison should be ruled as treason!"

“Bah, bah, treason! You have gone too far! Your Highness! Please spare me, Your Highness!”

In fact, I had already decided what to do with Hosen.

“The authority to interrogate is delegated to Alben Redmon. Make the Count vomit all the information he knows and then dispose of him.”

“Huh?! Such a heavy responsibility for me? Your Highness, you are indeed wise! Alben redmon, I am so moved I don’t know where to put myself!”

“I will repay you with results.”

“I will never disappoint you. I will find out the source of the poison and confess it to you, Your Highness!”

Alben's eyes sparkled like a child who had received a toy as a gift.

It was noticeable that the neutrality was rising.

Meanwhile, Hosen's face was filled with the greatest despair in the world.

“Ah, no! No no no!”

It was a scream like something from the bottomless pit of hell.

Alben listened to it with satisfaction, as if it were heavenly music.

Now it was time to seriously deal with the aftermath of Hosen's accident.

My field command was immediately given in front of the polluted stone well.

"As long as it's contaminated with the pine tree, no matter how much purification magic you use, you can't use the well. But if you leave it alone, it will contaminate the surrounding land. We should fill the well with clean soil and pour out the purification magic. Lord Emrick, please mobilize the manpower to clean this up."

“Leave it to me, Your Highness.”

Purification was an urgent matter, so Natasha went straight to the canyon.

I spoke to the rest of the people.

“The problem is the water source. We can't rule out the possibility that the water supply, groundwater, has flowed into the water supply. And as long  as the well is using freshwater sources like waves, the water shortage in Lapis Village will remain a chronic problem."

The expressions on Cadelin and the field managers' faces began to darken.

I immediately lightened the mood.

“So, we should take this opportunity to develop a completely new water source.”

"Yes?"

I smiled at Cadeline, who opened her eyes wide.

And then I started giving orders in earnest.

“Alben.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

“I will write to Father right now. I will tell him in detail about Count Sanchez’s crimes one by one, and I'll finish the draft. Go to the capital yourself."

“Leave it to me, Your Highness.”

“Contact Count Luciard and tell him about the situation in Lapis Village.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

“Sir Belcram, prepare a magical flying machine to transport the magic stone to the capital. The lake has a strong horsepower and is now inaccessible, so you must immediately get your drinking water from another source far away from the lake."

“Understood, Your Highness.”

“Then disband!”

It was truly a breeze.

Everyone went to do their respective roles according to my orders.

Only Michael remained by my side.

No, there is one more person left, though not on his own.

“Hosen Sanchez.”

Hosen, who had been eavesdropping on my field command from inside the pit, was startled.

When he raised his head, he saw me looking down at him with the moonlight behind her.

“I, Your Highness. I am, I am sorry. Please have mercy..."

“The poison was too much.”

“That, that..."

“Well, to be a ‘justification’, it would have to be at least a poison of thought.”

"Yes?"

Hosen, who had been asking for forgiveness with a mean face and a soulless attitude, stopped.

“What, an excuse?”

It was then that it occurred to Hosen that something was wrong.

In fact, just a moment ago, Hosen had been thinking that Brigitte would save him.

Although Hosen himself was captured, he achieved the desired purpose of causing an accident that hindered the mining and search of Magic stone mines.

At this point, he believed that Brigitte would not turn away from him, who had sacrificed his body and soul for a cause.

But now, as he saw the amber eyes rising above the moonlight, Hosen felt a sense of unease creeping over him.

Even though the situation was like this, Eve's eyes showed no sign of distress.

I said with a smile.

“Then why did you pass by Chuck with Alben?”
