The two soon entered the building. It was her first time visiting this building. The aroma of coffee was wafting from inside.
"CEO?"
The middle-aged woman standing inside recognized him. Winter said.
"Welder, my wife got caught in the rain, so bring something warm. And the carriage is in front of the theater door, so call it here. Let's change our clothes and go back."
"Of course. Honey, you go out and find the carriage."
When Welder called one of her employees, the employee quickly opened his umbrella and left. Violet sat down on the chair Winter had shown her and asked.
"What is this place?"
"A place that handles imported coffee beans."
"Yes..."
Violet looked around the warm building. The smell of coffee felt even stronger because of the rain, and the sight of coffee beans viled up was unusual.
After a while, Welder put down the milk and coffee in the small space where the two people were sitting.
"Thank you."
When Violet said thank you, Welder bowed her head slightly and left.
Winter asked as Violet looked happy after lifting her cup and taking a sip of coffee.
"Is it delicious?"
"I feel sorry for the people in the mansion who always pour me coffee but this is the first time I've had coffee this delicious."
"Of course. Welder is the world's best coffee expert. Here he continues his research. She likes to live alone so much that to hire that woman, I created an environment identical to the one she lived in."
"So that's how this special space was created."
Violet looked pleased at Winter's words. Winter said with a grin.
"You really find this kind of talk funny."
"Are you talking about this?"
"At first, I thought I liked success stories, but no. When I looked closely, the story you liked was the story of me winning someone else's heart."
"Ah... I did that?"
Violet's eyes widened as she realized something too late. Winter nodded and continued.
"Anyway, you're a unique Princess."
"Still. It's fun. I'm curious."
"What are you curious about?"
"How have you been living? I want to know that you became so successful because someone was there for you when you were lonely."
"Hayel said that I was kidnapping talented people."
"It may seem like that sometimes,"
Violet said that and covered her mouth as if she was joking. She was so lovely that Winter felt his heart melting. What good did he do in his past life that he ended up marrying an angel even though his current life was such a mess?
He looked at his wife with a happy expression, resting his chin on his hand, thinking seriously. Then, he suddenly remembered Catherine hitting his wife and cupping her cheek with his hand. She was violent towards her, who was happy with such a trivial conversation and a cup of coffee.
Of course, he never forgot the fact that she had locked her in the closet before. She was his precious Princess, whom he was afraid to even dare to hold tightly. Now his life was for Violet. He would do anything for his wife.
Winter removed his hand from Violet's cheek and continued to touch her soft hand this time.
"There are things that I know are precious but the nobles don't know that they are precious."
"What is that?"
"Labor force."
"The labor force?"
"The nobles have been using their authority to control people since they were young, so they take labor for granted. But things have changed quite a bit now."
Winter continued without taking his eyes off her cheek.
"The Warhosen guys don't know that. So, let's wait and see. I wonder how much better the South is doing without those ridiculous and mean-spirited people."
Violet didn't quite know what Winter was trying to do, but she understood the meaning of his gaze on her cheek. Then, she remembered Winter checking if her hand was okay even though she had slapped Catherine back.
Thinking of that made her strangely want to kiss him, and Violet, who didn't know how to seduce could only do what she wanted, leaning in and kissing his lips. The soft lips that had touched each other parted, and the two people's eyes became intertwined.
Winter muttered.
"If I leave it like this, when I go home, I'll just hold hands and sleep."
"Because I'm a patient."
She answered and smiled. At that smile, Winter made a painful yet happy expression.
The two spent time together without realizing the passage of time. After a while, Jen, who had brought a change of clothes upon hearing the news that Violet had gotten caught in the rain, could not bring herself to break the mood, and at the same time, worried about her little lady's health, stamped her feet and eventually went inside, ending the dare.

Violet, drenched in the autumn rain, was taking a long soak in the bathtub even after her bath to relieve her fatigue.
If she had kept wearing wet clothes, she would have caught a cold. For Violet, who was cold, Jen floated flower petals in the bathtub and then wrapped her damp hair in a towel before leaving the bathroom.
As Violet was relieving the fatigue of a long day in the warm water, she heard Winter's voice from beyond the curtain surrounding the bathtub.
"Are you done washing?"
"Nor yet. Hey, where are you coming from!"
The curtain flew open and Violet was startled and covered herself with her arms. Even though the petals were so piled up that he couldn't see the body, it was still embarrassing. Winter came in on his own and took a gulp of water to quench Violet's thirst to prevent her from getting exhausted from being in the bathtub.
A drop of water slid down Violet's slender neckline as she panicked. Violet said to Winter, who put down his glass of water.
"I'm going out."
"Why?"
"I'm so anxious."
"I came to help you take a bath."
Winter rolled up his sleeves and showed off his playful side. Violet said.
"I washed everything. I was going out."
"I see."
Winter took out a large towel and spread it out
"Come on, Princess. Are you leaving?"
Violet was impressed by his slyness.
"Close your eyes."
At her command, Winter closed his eyes. Violet, who had confirmed this, lifted her body out of the bathtub, which had become tired from the long bath. As Violet reached for the towel, Winter wrapped it around his wife's body with his eyes closed.
Immediately, Violet turned Winter away from her and said, wiping away the moisture from her body.
"I understand how you don't like being treated like a patient. But not yet."
"Please."
"If you are treated unfairly like that, you recover quickly."
Violet spoke worriedly, then wiped off all the moisture and applied the cream that Jen usually applied.
And only after putting on her pajamas did she pat Winter's back.
"It's all done."
Winter's expression distorted once more as he looked at Violet again. Her pale cheeks turned red with embarrassment, and her hair and eyelashes, which were still damp and not dry, looked strange.
Looking into her jewel-like eyes made him want to cry. Winter's throat fluttered loudly as he swallowed his saliva to calm his temper.
"It's sad enough that I'm hurt, so how can you not let me sleep?"
"If you feel wronged, don't jump in front of a gun."
"No. I would jump in there even if I could turn back time."
His blunt reply left Violet speechless.
It was amazing how he could say that so easily, even though his wounds hadn't fully healed yet and he must have been in so much pain.
Winter noticed Violet hesitating at his words and took the opportunity to smirk.
"Because it hurts, I should help you forget. Our Princess loves the citizens of Rockround, right?"
"Again Princess."
"Correct me. My wife loves me, right?"
His voice was sweet to her ears, so Violet bit her lip, unable to allow or deny it.
Winter calmly took Violet's hands and let them wrap around his waist. Violet said resentfully after realizing that he was tempting her with his strong back muscles and slim waistline wrapped in a shirt.
"I haven't given permission yet."
"It's a look of permission."
"Yes?"
Lie.
When he tilted his head as if trying to show off his charm, Violet nodded reluctantly.

After coming out of the bathroom and rolling around in bed a few times, all the walls that had been between Violet and Winter since the shooting disappeared. In Violet's bedroom, there was a bouquet of flowers that Winter had bought for her while she was in the bathtub, and thanks to the bouquet, she was able to stop hating Winter who was clinging to her in a big way.
Winter spoke to Violet, who was breathing heavily in his arms, exhausted.
"Let's go to Alika sometime."
"Alika?"
As Violet hesitated because she had heard that mixed-race people could not enter, Winter continued.
"Harlin said he wanted me to come and see him. Those damn purebloods, you have to fail to come to your senses, but now you know that you can't survive just by rejecting us."
"Umm..."
"Come with me. I was curious. Where my biological mother lives."
No matter how much he suffered from being abandoned, it seemed that he still longed for her.
"What do you want to do when you go?"
Thinking that Violet would be of strength, she opened her eyes, looked at Winter, and asked sweetly. Then Winter put on her cautious expression.
First of all, it was the heart, and he wanted to know what it was. Above all, he had to make sure that Violet was safe, as he had obviously paid a price to save him. But since he couldn't talk about it, he decided to be honest about the business side.
"When we arrive at Alika, we will first check if development is possible."
"..."
"Next, I'll check if the land is available for sale, then I'll buy it all and kick out that damn clan."
As Winter smiled leisurely after saying that, Violet spoke urgently.
"Winter, I don't want to treat you like a child, but I can't help it now. Then I can't use it."
"Why not? It's a trashy place that doesn't even allow mixed-race children to enter."
If someone else had said it, it would have been a joke, but to this man, it wasn't a joke. Moreover, there was not a trace of playfulness in Winter's eyes as he spoke.
Violet, who suddenly found herself carrying the hometown of the Kanik clan on her back, sat up with her aching body.
"It seems like it wouldn't be worth developing since it's located at the northern end."
"Who knows, maybe we'll find some minerals."
"If valuable minerals are found, you won't sell the land, right?"
"If the foreigners had known that valuable minerals were coming out, they would have lived better than this?"
Violet was left speechless by Winter's cold words. If this continues, will he really buy Alika and drive out all the people there?
While she was worried, Winter hugged Violet again and patted her as if to put her to sleep.
"Don't worry too much. Even if minerals are found, buying Alika will take a long time. We have to deal with the Blooming family first."
"Anyway, are you saying you're going to buy it?"
Violet looked shocked. Even though she left him, Winter has never once pointed a knife at her, or even anything resembling something sharp.
Little by little, she realized that Winter's standards for everything except her were completely different from hers.
