THYU - Chapter 68

Pim, who had no time to rest between work and taking care of her daughter, was having a heavenly day. The pressure she felt when she came here has long since disappeared.

Pim asked Violet, who had applied honey-filled massage cream to her face.

"No, but why would you divorce a man who will allow you to have a building like this and live like this all the time?"

Then, Lina insisted that she would lie down between the two and sleep, so she applied the same pack just one drop each to her forehead and cheek.

"That's right, why does Violet hate scary men? He's the coolest man in the world."

Pim's eyes widened at the child's words and she asked.

"Lina, then what about your father?"

"Dad comes second!"

"Wow, he got pushed back, Lina. Still, this is a secret from Dad, got it?"

"Hmm. Yes. Because dad might cry."

Lina responded. Violet, who couldn't stop laughing thanks to the mother and daughter who made her feel good just by looking at them, opened her mouth.

"Because he didn't tell me he liked me."

At those words, mother and daughter looked at Violet. Then she continued her words.

"Could it be that I am getting divorced because he doesn't like me?"

Lina was quite impressed by those words and asked.

"Don't you say you love him?"

"Huh."

"Did Violet do it?"

"Huh. I did. That's why I'm upset."

"Dad is cool again first thing. This is about the hundredth scary man."

Lina said with a huff. She looked at Pim with a puzzled look next to her.

"He called us because he was close and treated us like this, but you don't like it?"

"It's just his way. A way to maintain a family. A way to maintain human relationships."

"Spending money?"

"He is a person who thinks that if he spends money, the people around him will stay by his side. People around him... He's a man who really likes sleeping so much that I can't even imagine him staying by my side..."

A foolish and pitiful man.

Winter Blooming was a way to deal with loneliness while trying to solve it all with money.

After a while, Pim wiped off the cream cupped her soft cheek, and said with emotion.

"Oh my God, I feel like I'm eighteen again!"

Then, Lina from next to her followed her mother and cupped her cheek, and said.

"Lina seems to be eighteen again!"

The two adults burst into laughter at the child's bright words.

It was late and Lina soon fell asleep, and the two sat in front of the balcony table overlooking the sea and had a leisurely tea time. Violet took a sip of her amber-infused tea, looking at a place where the boundaries were blurred and she couldn't tell whether it was the night sky or the end of the sea.

Although she hoped that her husband would find a lover someday, she also had doubts about whether the day would come when he would like people more than money.

What if that guy falls in love? What does it look like?

She hoped that he would fall in love with someone, but the thought that someone might not be her stung her heart.

At noon the next day, Kanixa's cruise ship entered the port of Chiron.

Winter checked the list of arriving guests and welcomed them by handing out keys to them one by one. It was just when he thought everyone had taken their seats after checking the invitation numbers.

When the Blooming couple came in belatedly, Winter narrowed his eyes.

"I never invited you two."

Catherine made a bitter expression at his callous words and held Winter's hand tightly with both hands.

"I know you're upset with us. But we never really did that. We don't understand why the doctor lied like that."

"I checked everything with the doctor. It was all true."

"We thought it was a fertility drug! I don't know why the doctor is blaming us for his misdiagnosis..."

When Catherine said as if she was about to collapse, James Joined her.

"Why on earth would we give you such strange medicine? Have you still not accepted us as your parents?"

"If you were giving my wife medication in the first place, you should have told me whatever it was."

Then Catherine said.

"You didn't have the slightest interest in Violet until then."

"I am..."

"Even though she waited, you didn't even pretend to see her. So, are you saying I should have told Violet all the medicine I gave her in advance? If I had told you, you wouldn't have been interested."

"..."

"You really... You still don't believe in your family's love. They don't want to give or receive love. Winter, can you please trust us now?"

Winter looked at the two people blankly. Then he picked up the remaining key and walked away.

He opened the door to the spare room and led the two people in. The couple was disappointed that the room was noticeably smaller than the ones they had stayed in before, but they were not surprised that their son was expressing his love for his parents in such a snobbish way, as he had always done.

The couple sighed at the thought of having to somehow hide the fact that they were staying in such a small room from their social contacts who were on the cruise with them.

Thanks to their son, they always had the best seats at these important social events.

Unlike Winter, the Bloomings were born wealthy, so they took it for granted that they could live without much effort. It was no longer an era in which they ruled by cursing and beating their servants and residents like their parents had done, but now they could control nobles with money and enjoy the products of capitalism that they could not have imagined when they were young.

However, after their son's heart changed recently, they realized that not all of that was something that could be earned through merit. They were living on top of the golden tower that Winter had built, and they had to leave whenever he told them to do so.

They easily took advantage of Winter's loneliness, which had been thirsty for his family's affection. But he was changing quickly, and they needed to change too.

After leading the way to the room, Winter hung the key in the key holder.

"Take a rest."

He was about to leave when James caught him.

"Winter."

"Yes."

"Did you come here to try to work things out again with Violet?"

"No. I will enjoy it for a while and then get divorced."

Winter said as if it was no big deal and left the room.

A moment after he left, James spoke firmly.

"As Violet said, let's choose Winter as the successor to the title."

His words filled Catherine's eyes with strength.

"I said no."

"Anyway, Diev can't maintain the family alone without Winter's help."

"No matter what, how could my son... Dieb is my son, born to me. How can you think of giving the position of successor to Winter, who I didn't even give birth to?"

"Winter is a guy who spent all his money on his title. The best way to change his mind would be to recognize him as the successor."

"Then what do we do with Diev?"

"If you make him the heir, doesn't that mean he will inherit? There are many reasons why the successor may not receive a title."

When an unforgivable sin was committed, or when legitimate objections were raised that he would not be able to lead the family in the future, the successor could be replaced through a council of elders within the family. It also meant that even if they decided on Diev as their successor, the opposite could happen.

"If you keep going like this, your social life will be over."

At James' words, Catherine sat down on the sofa.

"How did this situation come to be?"

For a couple who grew up spoiled, there was no greater ordeal in their lives.

***

Winter, whose mood sank to the bottom, eventually put aside her work and stood up. As he left the office, thinking about going to the sauna one more time, he saw Hayel walking away with his arms full of boxes.

Winter asked, blocking Hayel.

"Newspaper?"

"Ah yes. The Rockround newspapers. I thought my Little Lady would like to read it, so while I was on the cruise this time, I asked the staff to transport all the newspapers from all the newspapers published in Rockround in the past month."

Winter said after checking the newspaper in the box.

"I'll read it first."

"Yeah? CEO, you don't really read the newspaper, do you?"

"It's been a while since I wanted to read it. I'll read it and bring it to Violet."

"Well, do it that way."

Hayel handed him the newspaper. After putting the box of newspapers on the desk in his office, Winter stood a cross from the chair, not even bothering to sit down, and took out a newspaper and opened it.

His eyes were fixed on the newspaper advertisement.

We are looking for pilots to take on the challenge of manned airships!

His hands tightened on the table.

So far, unmanned airships have been successful several times, but manned airships have all failed. Until now, the only means of moving through the sky was that slow-moving hot air balloon. The speed of the unmanned airship has already surpassed that of the ship. However, even unmanned airships had a greater than 90% chance of breaking down, and all manned airships crashed because they could not withstand the weight of people.

And most of the experimenters on that manned airship lost their lives. Even though they knew this, there were few people who took up the challenge because of the title of first and the huge insurance premiums paid to the experimenters.

Winter looked at it for a while, then tore up the advertisement and put it in his dresser. And then he walked over to bring the remaining newspapers to Violet.

The room given to Violet had a living room with a huge dome-shaped glass door directly in front of the door and a spacious bedroom to the right. Winter put down the newspaper on the guest room desk and went into the bedroom to see Violet changing into her dress after the carriage carrying Pim and Lina had left.

Violet, who was sitting in front of the mirror and getting her hair done by the maids, looked at Winter reflected in the mirror and asked.

"Why are you here already? The preparations aren't finished yet."

"You're pretty."

The maids said 'Oh my' and loved it like children when he spoke so calmly. Violet, the person involved, said with an embarrassed expression.

"Come back in when I'm done."

"Why? What's left? I'll do it."

Then Jen, who was closest to him, quickly took out a box of shoes and gloves.

"Gloves are lace, so you have to be careful when putting them on, and for shoes, please pay attention to the ribbon."

"Gloves and shoes, good. Just know."

After Winter spoke, Jen pushed the maids' backs. Seeing that, Violet, who thought Jen was on her side, looked somewhat shocked. Then Winter answered calmly.

"I paid for it."

Then he grabbed Violet's arm and pulled her out of her seat. He placed the box on the dressing table and opened it to find very thin lace white gloves and jewelry Inside.

Winter took Violet's hand and began to slowly put it on. Since it was made by connecting elaborate snowflake-shaped embroidery, It could tear with even the slightest force, so it took a long time just to put on one side of the glove.

After putting on both gloves, he secured them with the bands with small sapphires that were included in each box. Then he knelt down on the floor and took the shoe in his hand. After putting on blue shoes on both sides and tying a ribbon on the top of her feet, Violet was ready.

Winter stood and looked at Violet. His wife had a delicate beauty and overflowed with elegance even when she stood still or said nothing. When he looked at her, his concerns seemed like nothing more than trivial trash. He thinks he just has to make a choice for her.

He felt like a toy held in his wife's hand.
