THYU - Chapter 24

When the living room door opened, Violet, who had been worried, looked relieved.

Just because she brought a shopping mall, she thought she might have piled up too much like he did when he brought flowers to the hotel last time, but that wasn't the case.

Just as she was sitting in front of the table where only refreshments were prepared and trying to reassure herself, merchants carrying baggage of goods entered the reception room.

Winter said, sitting leisurely next to her with his legs crossed.

"Just know that it's rude to the merchants if you buy less."

 "Is that rude?"

"That's very rude. Think about the heart of the poor merchant who brought it all this way but has to go home without being able to sell even a single item. How is it? Does it hurt?"

His serious expression almost fooled Violet into thinking that he was really pitiful if he couldn't sell anything.

"There's nothing wrong with having your face stamped on you, so it's also an investment concept, right?"

"... Be unnecessarily smart."

Winter looked dissatisfied.

Violet drank her tea with a slightly more relaxed mind.

It wasn't a bad experience to sit in one place and look around the downtown area. Southern merchants were very good at eloquence, and they managed to charm Violet several times.

Looking at Violet smiling from time to time, Winter thought that sometimes he should waste time on things like this.

Anyway, he was getting angry because it seemed like she had no intention of buying anything, but when flower supplies appeared, Violet started to show interest.

"Pretty. Oh my goodness, this is my first time seeing a flower pot like this."

Winter somehow felt relieved to see his wife who couldn't come to her senses just by looking at flowers. Even if Violet ran away from him, he could catch her and keep her in the garden, and she would be quite satisfied.

Winter unconsciously smiled as he saw the curiosity in Violet's eyes. At that time, Violet pointed to the boots.

"I also have boots."

"Why would you wear boots?"

Winter scoffed, but the merchant was already quickly bringing the boots.

"These days, a lot of noble ladies wear boots. Instead of tea parties, there are also gatherings for gardening."

"Don't talk nonsense."

"It's so salty! It's a southern trend these days."

The merchant looked at Violet as if asking for consent. She just smiled, but then listened as the merchant explained the tools needed for gardening. Winter said teasingly, resting his chin.

"I guess I'll have to fire the gardener. We have a new member here."

"No."

Winter has already fired some of the original employees. The reason was that on the day his body changed for the first time, he was annoyed because he couldn't understand what she was saying. When Violet looked dead at the thought that he might actually fire the gardener, Winter smiled mischievously.

"Of course, it was a joke. How do you manage such a large garden without a
gardener? How much longer do you have to do it on your own?"

"Do I look like such a weakling?"

"It seems so. To begin with, you would faint if you stood in the sun for an hour."

"Not to that extent."

Humans were stronger than we thought.

There were many times when Violet would sit around for hours at a garden party without a seat, but she never once fainted.

If she collapses anyway, she'll just be a laughingstock. So she used her best strength to hold on there.

Even after purchasing flower supplies, merchants continued to come in with their goods.

His statement that he brought the downtown area was not an exaggeration at all.

***

Violet, exhausted from shopping, collapsed on the bed as soon as she returned to the bedroom.

They forced her to tell them what she wanted, and they also forced her to give them things.

There were tons of unopened boxes piled up in her bedroom. He bought Violet as soon as she said she was pretty and from then on, he started buying Violet just by making eye contact with the merchant. A person who has enough money can be so greedy. After all, Violet had never seen Winter wear the same clothes twice, nor had she ever seen him wear the same watch.

While she was exhausted, three maids came in and started unpacking all the luggage. There was so much luggage th
at organizing it was a task.

'But I guess he really hates divorce.'

Violet buried her face in the bed as if she was sick of it, though.

At first, his statement that he wouldn't divorce just felt frustrating, but she thought it would be okay if her relationship with him improved little by little in this way.

When she held his hand, he held her hand again. It was something Violet had been hoping for for three years.

Her husband holds her hand.

As Violet recalled the sensation again, a maid brought her a glass swan sculpture from a box.

"Little Madame, where should I put this?"

This young maid had fun opening the box earlier and didn't know what to do. Violet asked, smiling a little without realizing it.

"Did you say, Jen?"

"Yes!"

"Put it on that table. You've been through a lot."

"Oh, I'm just having fun?"

"Then let's open it together."

Violet raised her heavy body. Then the other maids, including Jen, glanced at Violet.

She heard the maids who were there earlier whispering that the Little madam was a strange person. However, when she sat down with her face to face, she may not have been a comfortable person, but she was definitely not a strange person.

The little lady immediately memorized the names of the first maids who came in, and after asking them for anything, she added a thank you. Rather, the one with the strangest personality was Winter, who lost his temper at the slightest mistake.

Moreover, it didn't seem like the little master was only resenting the little madam as rumored.

Therefore, the new employees working here had no reason to hate Violet.

At that time, the door burst open. When Winter entered, ready to leave, the maids who were afraid of him greeted her and quickly left the room. Violet said, putting down the box she was trying to open.

"Please, please tell me you're coming in before I come in."

Winter said to Violet without paying attention.

"I have an opportunity to visit the Hafit region. It will take more than 15 days."

Violet paused at his words and smiled without realizing it.

"Why do you tell me in such detail?"

"Because you're so stupid."

"Still, it's amazing that you're telling me."

Violet said and looked in the mirror without thinking. Her hair was matted from lying in bed. He took out a comb and was about to straighten her hair when Winter grabbed her wrist.

"Just leave it alone."

"Head..."

"What kind of couple can't even sit down and talk if they don't brush their hair?"

Violet looked at Winter at his words.

Always be elegant, neat, and royal, not human. That was the policy of the Rokround royal family. So the reason she's not neat is because she's lazy. The reason she can't overcome the situation that comes her way is because she's weak and emotional. That's what Violet thought.

Winter asked Violet again if he wanted to be confirmed.

"Isn't it strange?"

"Not at all."

"Really?"

"I said it's not strange. Where on earth should I feel strange?"

This is a man who is the opposite of herself. Fiery, rude, and always very humane.

That was amazing, and sometimes she was jealous.

Winter let go of her wrist and grumbled.

"The room is a mess. Take away everything that is useless."

"For whom? Besides, you would say that everything I have is useless."

"For some reason, you understand my heart, my Princess."

Winter sarcastically walked to the closet. He was thinking of civilizing her to throw away everything that was in it. Violet's things were monotonous and simple as if they were noticed by anyone.

His wife was a beautiful woman so elegant that everyone recognized her. Light clothes definitely suited her better than dark ones.

He grabbed the handle to open the closet door and then released it.

Then he stroked the inside of the doorknob with his index finger again. The good leaf had fallen off and there were scratches on the inside of the gold-plated handle.

"..."

"Winter?"

Violet called and Winter turned to her..

He had a bad memory.

When Winter worked as a servant, his employer, a restaurant owner, frequently beat him and locked him in a barn. Winter pounded on the door to get out, leaving marks on the doorknob from the chain.

At the same time, he was thinking of Violet's hand that he had seen on the day of his father's birthday party.

The day her wife stole his body. He thought the blood on his hands was strange, but he thought it was probably just a fall at most. He wonders if it's because her body is weak that she tends to fall.

Violet, who ran away with his body that day, looked like himself the day he ran away from the barn and ran to the Videlin Mountains. Now that he think about it, it was like that.

But that can't be happening. Who would treat a Princess so carelessly?

Thinking this, Winter gripped the inside of the handle tightly again. After a while, he turned around and asked Violet.

"You've never been locked up somewhere, have you?"

Then Violet saw the doorknob he was holding. She thought for a moment and then opened her mouth.

"It has to be there."

"Do not be ridiculous. Who dares the Princess... Oh, something like a tutor?"

"I was a very good student."

"Well, just by looking at you, you have the face of a model student."

"Yes. Just by looking at you, you look far from a model student."

"What am I?"

"No matter how I look at it, it's bad?"

Violet smiled and said hello again.

"Come back."

"Don't finish your sentence. You have to tell me who did it."

"What does it matter? Come now."

"Why are you saying come here now?"

Winter suppressed the urge to raise his voice. Violet, who was looking at that scene, opened her mouth again.

"I think Ash really hated the fact that I wanted to divorce you. So he told your mother to fix me somehow."

"Don't talk nonsense. No matter how much that bastard asked, my mother wouldn't have locked you in the closet."

"He must have been very angry when I told him that I was thinking about divorce."

Winter's face turned cold. He looked as if he had been drained of all his blood. He asked, his voice suddenly hoarse.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I tried to do it."

"When?"

"Right after that. When you were talking about work. I said let's talk. How many times?"

Every time his wife caught him, Winter thought the Princess was interrupting him to tell another useless story. When they talked about three years ago, Violet always had a smile on her face, later she got angry, and these days, she looked like she had given up.

It was like that that day too. Violet looked exhausted.

"So I stole the body that day. I'm sorry about that."

Violet actually laughed a little. As if stealing his body wasn't funny. But Winter couldn't laugh along with her. He thought that something invisible about his wife, who had always seemed perfect, was broken.
