Calix chose not to answer.

Icarus's smile grew deeper when he noticed the correct answer.

"Duke, have you found a weakness in me?"

".... Don't you also have to keep the ring a secret?"

"Don't do that."

Calix urgently tried to stop him.

Only then did Calix feel relieved.

Fortunately, Rosenia didn't seem to be heavily involved.

Before he got into the carriage, he handed Icarus a bundle of papers.

"This is information I received from Maurice Wayne. Compare and verify the statements with the statements of the awakened victims."

When Calix returned to the mansion, his alde Dominic greeted him.

He was the first to announce today's news.

"It is said that Lady Pierre visited Maurice Wayne's store."

"Did Alter properly say that they were canceling the contract by offering better terms?"

"Yes. His watcher confirmed in the next room that the Duke was speaking as instructed. But perhaps that's why Miss Pierre... They say she went back very angry."

"I guess so."

Calix answered calmly.

This was expected from the beginning. That's also what he intended.

"I have to make Miss Rosenia come see me in person."

Calix thought.

Considering the feelings Rosenia currently has for him, if he suddenly tells her that she is in danger and that he will protect her, she will not listen at all.

"She's going to Ignore the general invitation,so I guess I'll have to make her angry like this. She can't bear it without meeting me in person and protesting."

"I really don't know if this is a good idea, Duke."

Rosenia, whom he had been desperately waiting for, had indeed come to visit him. 

Calix looked at himself in the mirгог. His hair, which was usually neatly tucked behind his forehead, was down, and he was dressed simply in a white shirt and black pants.

He dressed up like that on purpose so that the other person would feel a little sorry for him.

From now on, he has to look as pitiful as possible.

Finally, he disheveled his hair one more time and left the door. His heart was pounding the whole time he was walking down the hallway 

It didn't take long to realize that the pounding sound was coming from his heart.

It was Calix's first time meeting her in a very long time. 

They ran into each other at the Princess's wedding reception, but Calix himself left first, thinking that the other person would be uncomfortable, so they couldn't be together for even a few minutes.

Even when she suspected that he was the same person as Dominic, she came to Calix first.

Looking back, it was only Calix who made various excuses to visit ot hers, while Rosenia only visited him when her purpose was clear.

And even then, both times it wasn't for good reasons.

Still, Calix was feel good.

Simply because he was able to meet Rosenia, talk to her, and spend time with her.

Are his actions now for the benefit of the other person, as Penelope advised?

Calix thought that it was already too late to find the answer. Just knowing that Rosenia is in this mansion makes his heart beat like crazy.

And when Calix arrived at the central staircase, he heard the voice he had dreamed of.

"Duke Altemir! Why on earth are you doing this!"

The voice that echoed through the space could not be said to be friendly, even if it were empty words.

But to Calix, her cries felt as sweet as fruit soaked in honey.

“Miss Rosenia.”

With a smile he couldn't hide, he rolled Rosenia's name in his mouth.

Calix slowly walked down the stairs.

Otherwise, he felt like he would run straight towards Rosenia and stumble and fall.

This moment felt like a dream. So he was more careful...

Calix, standing in front of Rosenia, gently held her hand. This is a real Rosenia whose body temperature can be felt.

His attitude was as careful as handling a fragile and precious object.

Now he is not Dominic and he can no longer stand in front of her as Dominic.

Calix took her hand, brushing between her knuckles as was his habit.

“Tsk.”

Rosenia stiffened, perhaps embarrassed by his unexpected behavior.

Calix laughed slightly.

"I was waiting for you to come."

"What.... I beg your pardon?"

"Now you're finally looking at me."

Nothing has been resolved and Rosenia in front of him is angry.

Just the fact that he met her made Calix's heart so full.

Calix fully admitted that he was completely crazy about her.
