SPMB - Chapter 192
My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone
"Sir Claude."
In front of the bedroom, Kanna ran into Claude.
"Miss, are you okay?"
He must have been there too and made a suggestion with a cruel smile.
"What should I do? Should I at least cut off the Crown Prince's head?"
"There is no need for that."
Kanna really wanted to guillotine him, but what would she do if he cut off the Crown Prince's head now? It's already happened.
"Forget about such a jerk, Miss. I will introduce you to a better man."
"Who is he?"
"My name is Claude Azel. He is a healthy young man."
Claude smiled mischievously.
"How about I introduce you?"
Thanks to him, she laughed. Kanna Iaughed heartily at his joke.
"I do not need it."
"Then shall we run away together?"
Claude said something that she couldn't tell if he was joking or serious.
"Aren't you going to be unprepared this time, unlike last time?"
"Of course. But I won't run away."
Lorenzo's favor cannot be trampled on like that. Kanna wanted to resolve this matter in a more just manner.
"Thank you for your concern, but I also have an idea."
Kanna has no intention of being swept away like this. Claude scratched his head at Kanna's words.
"No, what were you thinking about in that short bird? Anyway, I heard you live your life really hard..."
It was then...
“Kanna.”
Kanna turned her back.
Amelia was approaching with a pale face. The moment their eyes met, Amelia ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
“Kanna. Kanna, right? Huh?”
"I am not Kanna."
Amelia lifted her face at those words.
"Even if you bring someone else, I will still recognize you, Kanna Addis."
Kanna's heart sank. She never thought Amelia would say something like that.
"I'm so glad you're alive. I'm happy. It feels like a dream. Even if this is a nightmare, I'd rather not wake up."
Amelia kissed Kanna's cheek. Her lips were trembling, drenched in tears.
"I won't ask you why you disappeared like that, I don't care. So, never again, never disappear like a bubble in front of me again, huh?"
Kanna knew that Amelia liked her, but she didn't know it would be to this extent. She became so embarrassed that she was even embarrassed to tell lies anymore.
Then she asked.
"Tatyana Eugenia, you are Crown Prince Alexei's lover, aren't you?"
Amelia shouted, clenching her fists.
"If you love that person, get married!"
"Yes?"
"I would be happy to have Alexei another wife like you. We can share him together! If you don't like it, just keep him yourself. I will break this marriage!"
Cough!
Claude quickly covered his mouth and coughed.
"I like you better. I don't need a man if you're here for me!"
"Your Highness, calm down."
Cough, Cough!
As Claude continued to cough, Kanna glared at him. Now she saw he was holding back laughter as hard as he could!
"Sir Claude, will you stop going?"
"Um, yeah. Hmm, your friendship is really nice to see."
"Go quickly."
"Yep."
After sending Claude away, Kanna brought a sobbing Amelia into the bedroom.
"Here, drink."
Kanna had a maid hand her some warm wine. Amelia didn't let go of Kanna's hand even as she drank her wine.
"Kanna. Aren't you going somewhere?"
Oh, she can't fool her. Kanna finally raised both her hands and feet in desperation.
"I'm sorry for tricking you. There were circumstances."
"It's okay. You don't need to make excuses for me. Of course, there must have been a good reason."
"And Alexei. I have no feelings for him anymore. I have bad feelings, though."
But Amelia didn't seem to believe it.
"But Kanna doesn't care about just anyone. If you like him that much, don't you really love him deeply?"
Kanna rolled her eyes.
Is it?
Well, when she was in Addis, she didn't open her heart to anyone. She even distanced herself from Amelia.
But it seemed different after she left.
Kanna was tired of constantly hating, doubting, and pushing others away, and it felt like she grabbed the hand that someone held out to her.
"Amelia, I am also human. I also had moments when I felt weak."
At that moment, Alexei came up to her.
They say fate is about timing. It really was.
"Then are you really marrying Prince Lorenzo? With that little boy?"
"..."
"Well, it's okay. It takes age, but maybe it's an advantage... He looks great..."
Look at her not crying anymore, Amelia, who had stopped crying before she knew it giggled darkly. So after talking to Amelia for a while, she sent her away.
"See you tomorrow at the wedding ceremony, Kanna."
Kanna went all the way out the door to see Amelia off.
'I can finally rest now.'
When she sighed and entered the room again, the red velvet curtains were fluttering. Kanna stopped and stared at the curtain.
Weird.
The window was obviously closed.
OMG.
Kanna took a short breath without realizing it.
In front of the window, someone was sitting with their back against the wall!
His shoulders are slumped, his face is downcast, and his red hair is disheveled.
This man...
“Alessandro Addis?”
At that time, Alessandro raised his head. Kanna's lips were frozen as their eyes met.
What are these eyes?
And this fact, she couldn't believe it, but he was different from before.
His cheeks, eyes, and lips are much more mature than when she saw him before, as if...
It felt like he had grown.
For the first time since seeing him, it seemed as if time had passed. 5 years, not 6 years... About that time.
Although he still had the face of a young man, it was definitely different from before when he looked younger and younger!
"What on earth is going on here?"
Alessandro did not answer. No, he didn't think he heard in the first place.
He was seeing something beyond her.
His eyes slid over her, up, down, sideways, in all directions. A chill came over her as his eyes shook frantically.
There is nothing, so what on earth is he looking at? Isn't he like seeing a ghost?
At that time, Alessandro frowned. He muttered in a very hoarse voice.
"Quiet. I feel like my head is going to explode."
Be quiet, it's so quiet...
At that time, there was a sentence that came to mind.
"I think I'm seeing an evil spirit."
"There was an eyewitness who saw him muttering something like 'Get out of here into the air."
Why does the information that Argon gave Kanna a long time ago, and the words that she dismissed as nonsense, come to mind now?
Kanna approached cautiously. As she placed her hand on his shoulder, she felt Alessandro's muscles tighten.
"What about medicine?"
The next moment, his eyes finally focused on Kanna. As if he had finally found her among the crowd of people.
She's the only one in this room.
"You said your alchemist, Celia, would make the medicine. Didn't you take your medicine?"
Kanna lowered his lips to his ear and spoke clearly so that he could hear.
There was no answer. When she looked at his face again, he looked surprisingly normal.
It was a blank face, with no cracks, confusion, pain, or anything left from before.
"Sorry. It was disgraceful."
"..."
"It's been a while."
Come to think of it, this was their first reunion in three years.
"I have something to ask you."
However, he went straight into business without even a single sentiment.
"You investigated me."
It did. Kanna requested it from Prince Argon.
"How much did Prince Argon know about me?"
Why is he asking that?
Kanna narrowed her brows.
"Why should I tell you that?"
"Please."
Kanna couldn't believe her ears.
Please? To her? Him?
Alessandro looked up at her. Her face looked particularly pale, perhaps because of the moonlight pouring down on her face.
"Tell me, Kanna, please."
Kanna swallowed.
Please, her, him...
For some reason, her throat feels hot and painful. It was difficult to keep a calm voice.
"If it's a deal. I'm willing to do it."
Kanna smiled.
"What can you give me?"
***
And the next day, the day of the wedding ceremony finally arrived.
Kanna was dragged away by the maids early in the morning. They washed, combed, dressed, and adorned kanna.
'Oh, I'm sleepy.'
Even though a lot happened yesterday, she couldn't even rest properly.
Kanna couldn't even sleep for a few hours.
At night, Alessandro came to visit, and after that, she visited Lorenzo and had a deep conversation.
And the deal with Alessandro was made.
'I'm so tired, really.'
Kanna dozed off like a sick chicken and then lifted her head when she heard that it was done.
There was a dazzling bride in the mirror.
Surrounded by a white veil, she looked as beautiful as if she were clad in glitter.
"I'm sorry. You're getting ready. Miss, Lord Orsini Addis has asked for a private table...."
Orsini?
Kanna frowned. She wanted to kick him out, but she wasn't the kind of guy who would go along smoothly.
"Everyone is out for a moment."
After asking the maids, Orsini walked in.
Kanna said sarcastically as soon as she saw his face reflected in the mirror.
"You came back in one day. Why don't you comb your hair?"
Orsini stood tall in his seat. Then he stared at her in silence.
"What brings you here? If you're thinking of starting a fight..."
“Kanna.”
Kanna kept her mouth shut.
It was the first voice she heard.
A raw, unpolished voice.
Kanna looked back.
Orsini, who made eye contact, narrowed his eyebrows as if seeing something dazzling. And she was sarcastic, as was her habit.
"You deserve to be looked at for wearing a dress."
Kanna chuckled at his pretentious words.
"You know best that wearing a dress doesn't make me pretty."
"What?"
"You like my face, right?"
Kanna doesn't know anything else, but she knows this one thing. Orsini likes her appearance very much.
At those words, Orsini leaned his back against the wall. He looked at her face and asked.
"Me, your face?"
"Don't you remember when you told me you fell in love at first sight?"
When Kanna cut her bangs, took care of her shabby appearance, and went out to a party.
Orsini had said such things without knowing that she was Kanna. Thinking about it again, it was funny and Kanna burst out laughing.
"You fall for women surprisingly easily?"
Kanna taunted him.
She wanted to see Orsini's angry face. Because it's fun when he gets angry.
But Orsini's face showed no signs of agitation.
"That was the first time."
He looked straight into her eyes and said.
"And it was the last time."
Kanna was so embarrassed that she was at a loss for words. She was just arguing, so why is he responding so seriously?
Orsini said no more.
Silence followed.
The white morning sunlight broke across them, and serene silence filled the gap.
"Hey."
Orsini's voice rang low in the silence.
"Do you want to come with me?"
Kanna blinked and then asked back.
"Where?"
"Anywhere."
At that moment, Kanna realized.
Oh my God. That idiot.
"You... You're the heir to the family head, right?"
"What do you know?"
"Are you asking me to run away with a new bride who is about to get married?"
"Uh-huh."
Orsini answered bluntly, stroking his lips with his hand.
Kanna gritted her teeth at that gesture that clearly made him look very nervous. Because she has to hold back her laughter.
She never thought that guy could be this much of a jerk.
I forgot Claude likes her too! And I’m wondering if Alessandro lost some power, or was it a curse to live king? But now he’s going crazy?
ReplyDeleteLet the party start..
ReplyDeleteI wonder what kind of a deal they made
This lack of medicine is probably why Alessandro does not seem to be himself sometimes.. That's sad
ReplyDeleteOh Orsini… these brothers are so pitiful
ReplyDeleteTBH I feel more for Orsini than a lot of the other guys. His struggle with his obsession is so much more obvious and visceral than the others.
DeleteSorry but im inlove with orsini huhu!!!!
ReplyDeleteI kinda see what other people are saying. If Orsini wasn't an obsessive abusive incestuous violent psycho, he'd be a pretty good guy. Him and Raphael are the only ones who really succeed in putting her freedom and opinions over their obsession for her. Unlike Raphael who's almost robotic, Orsini's struggle to control himself is obvious and visceral. Shame about the whole violent abusive incest psycho part that makes him EWW instead of someone to root for.
ReplyDeleteAnd they were raised together as siblings. That makes them siblings in my book.
