SPMB - Chapter 150

SPMB - Chapter 150

My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone

"Welcome, Kannal"

Amelia greeted her with a wide smile.

"Welcome to my palace. How have you been?"

"Good, how have you been?"

Tea and cookies were prepared on the tea table.

'Can I drink it?'

Kanna don't know if it was Amelia, but if it were the Empress, she might have done something foolish.

'Let's just pretend to drink.'

Kanna picked up her teacup, pretended to take a sip, and then put it down.

"Kanna must be very busy. I've sent you many invitations over the years, but you've never responded."

When Amelia grumbled in disappointment, Kanna smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry. I kinda..."

"A little?"

"Well, I was busy. There are various things going on."

"Oh sorry. I was short-thinking."

Amelia apologized with a troubled face.

"I know a lot has happened in the meantime, but I ended up grumbling without even realizing it. Besides, not long ago..."

Amelia continued speaking cautiously.

"I heard you encountered bandits. Are you okay?"

Amelia's eyes, not knowing the inside story, seemed so innocent.

"Thank you for your concern. I'm OK."

"That's a good thing. You see. I actually have something to discuss with Kanna."

Is she finally trying to ask for the Empress's medicine?

Kanna nodded her head, choosing her words to say no.

"Yes. What is that?"

"I think my mother will get me married soon."

Marriage? Not medicine?

"She pursued a remarriage with Duke Sylvienne Valentino. Of course, the Duke refused."

"Okay."

"Huh. In fact, if I ever get married, I want to marry the royal family of the Kingdom of Yalden."

Although it was hot, Kanna maintained a calm expression.

"Honestly, if you look at the recent national power, Yalden has grown as much as the Aslan Empire, right? Of course, the people of the empire don't want to admit it."

"Is that so? I don't know much about such things...."

Recently, Kanna has been studying hard through Yalden's books, but Kanna has completely lost her cool.

"Yalden is a strange country. From what I heard, the same education policy is being implemented for commoners as for nobles. This is unthinkable in the empire."

"Really? I did not know."

"You know that the Queen is currently ruling, right? It is said that women are equally given the right to inherit the throne. This too is unthinkable in the empire."

Amelia's expression showed a strange mockery. It seemed like she didn't like her country very much.

'Well, Amelia's life wasn't easy either, so it's worth it.'

But bright Amelia smiled brightly again.

"But of course, the best thing is Crown Prince Yalden's face. Have you ever seen his portrait?"

"No, never."

"Really? Shall I show you? He's really a really handsome guy... Ah, but I don't think Kanna will like it."

"Yes? Why do you think that?"

"Your ex-husband was Duke Valentino. Who would notice it?"

Kanna snorted at those words without realizing it.

"It can't be. That guy is sometimes so handsome that it gives me the creeps. I guess he doesn't look like a person."

"Well, that's true. Duke Valentino seems like some other higher life form rather than a person. Should I say he is like a snow God?"

"Oh my God."

Kanna sighed and expressed her dissatisfaction.

"Amelia. I just divorced that person. Please don't use such poetic expressions."

"Oh, sorry."

"Yes, please excuse me."

Kanna answered playfully and raised her teacup. The moment it touched her lips, she stopped in shock.

'This...'

She almost drank it. At the same time, she realized. It was only for a moment, but she let her guard down.

'You can't do this. Get your mind straight.'

The moment she let her guard down, a blade always flies. It's always been like that until now.

'So let's not let our guard down."

Kanna pretended to drink again this time and then put down the teacup. And when she lifted her face again she saw that her eyes were as cold and frozen as ever.

Amelia, who didn't notice this, blushed and laughed.

"Amazing. I'm talking about men with Kanna,"

"Yes?"

"Kanna seems like an ordinary girl my age now."

Amelia laughed bitterly.

"For some reason, you felt distant. But not now."

"..."

"Let's meet and talk often in the future. I think of Kanna as my good friend."

A good friend?

The words Amelia threw caused gentle ripples in Kanna's heart. But it soon sank without a trace.

"Thank you for saying that."

Until now, she has never considered Amelia a friend. She never gave up or showed her sincerity.

'It's not just Amelia.'

This was true even for Lucy. Kanna couldn't possibly open my heart to anyone.

It was overwhelming to fight against enemies, fight to survive, and fight against those who hated. It was all just fighting.

Has she ever laughed comfortably even for a moment in this world?

"And I'm sorry."

"No. I don't want to hear those words from Kanna."

Amelia smiled as if she knew everything, even though she knew nothing.

"Kanna saved my life. And you saved lives."

"..."

"If it weren't for Kanna, I would still be an eccentric Princess suffering from skin disease... And I would have died by my mother's hands long ago."

Amelia held Kanna's hand. Before she knew it, tears were welling up in her eyes.

"Thank you for giving me a chance to live, Kanna."

She said in a trembling voice.

"I really wanted to say this properly someday."

"..."

"Oh, have I become too sentimental?"

Amelia fanned her face with her hands as if she was embarrassed. Then she sheepishly lifted the teacup and took a sip.

"Cough!"

Then she coughed.

Kanna narrowed her brows. For some reason, it seemed like it would be scary. No matter how embarrassing it is, if Amelia drinks it in such a hurry...

"Cough, cough!"

Amella covered her mouth with her hand. But before she could stop it, the liquid poured down her fingers.

Kanna lowered her gaze and followed the trajectory.

Red.

It's so red, it almost looks like blood.

"Amelia!"

The moment she shouted and jumped up from her seat, Amelia collapsed under the chair. Kanna hurriedly grabbed her and took her pulse.

Live.

Still alive.

'Was there poison in the tea?"

Kanna hastily took off the necklace.

It contains an antidote that detoxifies most poisons. She prepared this just in case, but never thought she would use it like this!

"Amelia, can you hear me? Don't lose your mind!"

Kanna poured the antidote into Amelia's mouth. And then,

Kanna heard the door open behind her. It was a small sound, but it sounded clearer than anything else to Kanna's ears, because..

'Is there a door in front?'

The front door is closed.

So what's open in the back?

Kanna slowly turned her face. And she almost screamed.

The closet door opens slowly. A person crawled out of it.

"This..."

The man clicked his tongue as if he felt sorry.

"Why didn't you drink tea?"

Amelia's younger brother.

"Then we would have been comfortable with each other."

It was the 2nd Prince. Crescent Isaberg.

As he trotted over. Kanna hugged Amelia as if protecting her. She snapped, glaring at Crescent with her sinister eyes.

"Your Royal Highness, are you just coming out from hiding in the closet?"

"Yes. When I got a bad cramp in my leg, I regretted what I was doing. But it was still an excellent choice."

He smiled politely, like at a party.

"Look at this. Kanna is still alive."

"Lord Ain!"

There was nothing more to hear. Kanna called the escort knights waiting in the hallway.

"Lord Ain, Lord Lusbel!"

Crescent then tilted his head.

"You are naive. Do you think they are still alive?"

"What?"

"Of course, the knights of Addis are strong, but the imperial knights are also formidable. Especially the elite ones I carefully selected. We can't survive with just two people."

Kanna's face turned pale.

She didn't want to believe it. She couldn't believe it. But if they were alive, they would have jumped in right away.

But no one came in.

It was just quiet.

Kanna clenched her fists with all her might. Now is not the time to get caught up in her emotions. Not now.

"Do you think you can get away with this?"

"Yes."

Crescent laughed softly.

"No one will know about this anyway."

It was that moment.

Kwakwakwak!

The floor vibrated with an ear-piercing roar. It sounded like this palace, this world, was about to collapse.

"Among the weapons on the Eastern Continent, there are bombs powerful enough to collapse buildings. I found it very difficult."

Then he took out his pocket watch and checked it.

"It took too much time. At this point, I had to leave, because the two of you didn't really drink tea. I'm in trouble."

However, there was no sign of any difficulty.

"As a final example, I will tell you how your death will be packaged."

He walked calmly. That sight was as repulsive as a bug.

"Soon, the worst fire in imperial history will break out in this palace. You and my sister are going to become victims of that fire."

He stretched out his hand and pulled Kanna down.

"Your body will be crushed under the rubble of the building or burned to the ground. In other words, you die in an unfortunate accident."

"Let go of this!"

Kanna held on, but the moment he applied his strength, the confrontation ended.

Kanna's body fell to the floor. He climbed onto her stomach and began to strangle her.

"Young Lady knows too much. You know too many things you shouldn't know."

"Ugh, ow!"

A feeling of pressure pressing down on Kanna's neck. She was out of breath.

"Ugh, if you kill me, Her Majesty, take medicine..."

"That's the problem. You are holding onto my mother's weakness. My mother's weaknesses are also my weaknesses."

“Keuheuk!”

"Of course, it will be difficult for my mother to live without medicine, but she will be patient for me. My mother loves me."

The Empress is unaware of this.

Kanna looked around just in case, and it seemed like he was probably doing it alone. However, this cannot be certain.

If it were a little less painful. She would dig up more information.

'I can't bear it any longer."

Kanna opened her tightly closed eyes. She pressed the ring on her hand onto the back of his hand. Then the jewel slid down and spittle covered in poison came out.

"Ugh!"

Crescent moaned at the sharp pain. He rooted out Kanna's neck.

"What are you doing..."

Then he was speechless. He was out of breath as if he had been suddenly deprived of air.

"Ugh, huft."

Crescent couldn't understand this situation.

What?

Why can't he breathe?
