SPMB - Chapter 151

My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone

"My, my, what have you done to me!"

He glared at Kanna.

No, did he glare at her?

Crescent doesn't know. He couldn't figure it out. His vision suddenly became blurred.

Darkness came as if someone had stolen all his senses.

What's this? Why is this happening all of a sudden? What? What on earth is this...?

That was his last accident.

Thud.

Crescent's body collapsed. And he stopped forever.

Kanna gasped, glared at him, and checked his pulse.

Dead.

Kanna killed Crescent Isaberg. And now was not the time for sentimentality.

'I have to escape.'

Kanna placed Amelia's arm over her shoulder and supported her. She walked towards the door, almost dragging Amelia behind her.

The moment Kanna tried to grab the door handle.

"Ah!"

Kanna hurriedly withdrew her hand as the hot heat immediately surged over her.

The handle was hot.

'The hallway is on fire.'

Moreover, this place is high, so if she jumps out of the window, she will be seriously injured or killed. In other words, all escape routes are blocked.

Kanna thought calmly.

'Crescent stayed even though he knew this would happen. He must have created a separate escape route.'

Where is it?

"There's only a window.'

Kanna hurriedly ran to the window. She pulled back the curtain and looked, but she found nothing.

Then.

"There must be something where that bastard was hiding."

This time, the closet door burst open. As expected, there was a long rope made of several pieces of fabric coiled like a snake.

After confirming the death of Kanna and Amelia, he was planning to leave alone.

It was made by plaiting the hem of a blanket so that it would look like it was made on the spot even if someone caught him going down the rope. He is so thorough, he is truly a disgusting bastard.

"Amelia! Can you move?"

Kanna shook Amelia's body. Not only was she not moving, but her consciousness seemed faint..

'What do I do?'

At that moment, Kanna encountered a fierce conflict. If she is alone, she can get out right now.

'I can do it alone."

But she thinks she should leave Amelia alone.

'Yes, you have to survive that way. There's no way.'

How has she survived so far? Kanna can't die here. She can never die. She has no intention of doing so.

However, the body moved differently than expected.

Even though she thought that this should not happen, she was tying Amelia's body tightly with rope. Kanna said as she wrapped the rope around the pole on the other side.

"Amelia, it's going to be hard because the weight is going down. HoId on a little."

She barely lifted the limp Amelia and pushed her out the window.

"Ugh!"

Then she quickly grabbed hold of the rope. Kanna checked Amelia, who was hanging in the air, and very slowly lowered the rope.

'Damn, it's too heavy!'

Kanna's hands were shaking. Kanna lowered Amelia down, supporting her weight by pressing one of her feet against the wall.

'It's almost done, just drop it a little further and Amelia will hit the ground.'

But then.

"Ahh!"

Kwakwakwak!

There was a louder noise than ever before. Kanna could not overcome the shock and lost the rope. At the same time, a sharp flash of horror flashed above her head. Kanna Instinctively jumped back. The next moment, the ceiling collapsed right where she was.

"Aaaaah..."

Kanna fell to the floor and moaned. Her whole body is throbbing and her ears are ringing.

Kanna opened her eyes with difficulty. Amidst the dust that obscured her vision, she saw piles of fallen stones blocking the window.

And.

"Aww."

His feet were also pressed tightly against a huge stone. Kanna gritted her teeth and struggled to get her foot out. But she didn't move.

"Please, get out."

Kanna struggled for a while and eventually gave up. This was absolutely not something she could do on her own.

Kanna looked around, feeling helpless.

'What should I do?'

The front of the window was blocked by a pile of stones. The hallway has probably turned into a sea of fire. And her leg was crushed by a stone.

Although it was the worst situation, Kanna did not lose her cool. Instead, she looked around very calmly. After carefully reviewing each one, she finally came to a conclusion.

'I can't escape.'

She was completely trapped.

'There's no way out.'

No, actually there was. There was definitely a chance to survive this chaos. But she was the one who kicked that only chance.

'Amelia.'

Kanna wishes she had left Amelia alone and escaped alone. If she had done that, she wouldn't have met a miserable death here, along with Crescent's body.

Kanna must have been receiving treatment outside, surrounded by people. When she realized that fact, Kanna burst out laughing.

'Look. This is what happens when you let your guard down."

She shouldn't have let down her guard.

'I shouldn't have come to see Amelia in the first place."

Only then did Kanna realize that she truly liked Amelia.

Actually, Kanna wanted to be friends with her. She wanted to laugh and talk casually together. Just one moment of inattention, just one ounce of warmth, that was what caught her ankle.

'I should have been on guard for everything until the end.'

The failure to do so was a failure. A bitter smile came over her.

Kwakwakwak!

The wall collapses again. The stone pillar that supported the ceiling split apart. It tilted and collapsed on top of Crescent's body.

Thud!

His body was crushed by stones.

Looking at the corpse, Kanna thought of them.

Two knights who died protecting her today. Are their bodies still lying in the rubble by now, or are they burning actively?

'I'm sorry.'

Kanna apologized to them.

'If I hadn't come to see Amelia, you wouldn't have died.'

Because of her. Because Kanna let her guard down, she has a lot of enemies.

Then, suddenly, the ceiling collapses again. Kanna was hit by debris large and small. She could feel her blood flowing from her head.

'I was wrong.'

But not Amelia. She may be slightly injured, but her life is not in danger.

'But I saved one Amelia.'

"Kanna saved my life. And she saved lives."

That word.

Amelia's heartfelt words burned brightly like a torch in the darkness at this moment. Is that why?

Even though death was just around the corner, Kanna wasn't scared. She just silently accepted it.

She will die today, now, here. Still, one life was saved.

'So I might die as a doctor.'

Although she failed to save herself, she still saved the life of one of her favorite friends. So at least it's not a dog's death, right?

Kanna closed her eyes. The darkness held her hand as if it had been waiting for her. Kanna willingly got sucked into it.

"Come to your senses."

If it weren't for this voice. She would have.

"Come to your senses!"

For a moment, Kanna opened her eyes. Amid the black smoke and cloudy stone dust, the man's purple eyes were clearly visible.

"Raphael..?"

Did she like Raphael this much? So at the last moment, she sees a hallucination...

“Ah!”

A scream came out of Kanna's mouth. The pain was intense. Raphael lifted the huge stone that was crushing Kanna. As the pressure went away, the pain came later. Thanks to that, her fading spirit came back to life.

It's Raphael. Raphael was in this hell!

"Raphael, why are you here?"

She no longer wondered how this staIker-like man got here. Instead of answering, he took off his long robe and draped it over Kanna's body. Perhaps it had been poured with water, but there was still a faint moisture remaining.

""The window is blocked. We have to go through the fire, so hold your breath as much as you can."

Kanna looked away.

The door was open as if he had kicked it in. As expected, the hallway was a bright red fire. Kanna was startled by the surge of heat.

"Oh my God..."

Only then did Kanna see that Raphael's face, neck, and hands were turning red.

It was a burn mark.

"Are you crazy?"

Raphael came through that.

Through that fire. That fire.

"If you want to die, die somewhere I can't see!"

Kanna threw the clothes at him. It seems like heavenly luck helped him get here, but luck won't work if he doesn't have anything to cover himself with.

"Are you crazy enough to come here? Put this on and get out of there right now!"

Kanna thought he would comply. Raphael listened obediently to what she said, to the point where it felt burdensome.

However. Kanna received a different answer than expected.

"I will not comply."

"Raphael!"

"No matter how many times you tell me, I won't obey, so don't command me anymore. And the smoke gets in, so please keep your mouth shut."

Kanna closed her mouth tightly at the harsh words spoken in a polite tone.

Then he picked up his clothes again. After pouring water from the vase, he placed it over Kanna's body like her armor.

He hugs Kanna brightly. The moment Kanna was hugged to his firm chest, for some reason, she felt like crying. Kanna was filled with hot emotions.

"You are crazy."

"Yes."

"You are out of your mind."

"I know."

And Raphael jumped into the flames.
