SPMB - Chapter 145
My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone
"What did you say?"
Argon delivered some very absurd news.
"You mean I'm about to be kidnapped?"
"Huh. Can I have some candy?"
Argon pointed to the star candy on the table. Kanna was so annoyed that she glared at him.
"It's not possible. It's mine."
"It's disgraceful."
Argon grumbled and shrugged.
"I even told you that Her Majesty the Empress and Duchess Chloe Addis were plotting an evil plan. Can you at least give me a star candy as a reward?"
"You said you were giving this information as an apology for what happened last time. You get what you deserve, so why should I give you an award?"
Kanna, feeling uncomfortable, shot back more coldly than necessary. It was worth it.
'Empress, you viper-like bitch.'
She's planning something like this just because Kanna refused to be Crescent's concubine. Argon said she even got Chloe to join her.
Kanna burst out laughing.
Such foolish women. If Kanna had just left it alone, it would have quietly disappeared.
'They won't let me farewell peacefully.'
In fact, the idea was to completely cure the Empress's skin disease. She can't get her medication if Kanna leaves.
Her relationship has improved and she has received help, so now Kanna wants to relieve her of her pain.
'What? After kidnapping me, what are you doing?'
She's planning such a dirty and cruel thing!
Hatred burned brightly. Neither the Empress nor Chloe will leave her alone.
"Here are the supporting documents."
Argon held out a piece of paper.
It was a document that included a list of mercenaries hired by the Empress under stage names, the details of the request, the route through which the request fee was paid, and a contract signed with each other's seals to prevent Chloe from changing her mind.
"With this, will you forgive my mistakes from before?"
"Great. This is worthy of compensation."
"Then, now it's time to receive the reward for this request, right?"
She thought Argon would talk about this.
Kanna grinned.
There has never been a better time to tell someone who she is, a secret that no one knows. Because she will be leaving soon anyway.
Kanna leaned forward. And she whispered in Argon's ear.
"Actually, I..."
Argon's eyes widened as he listened to the whisper with an excited face.
"Is that true?"
"You may not believe it, but it's true."
"No. I believe it."
Argon muttered in a dazed voice.
"I've heard such a story. Stories about the existence of another world, and sometimes people crossing over from that world..."
"You heard that story? Who told you that?"
"My mother often did this when I was young. Before I go to sleep, she reads me a story, like a book."
Queen Theresa? How does she know such a thing?
'They said she was a dancer who wandered around the continent until she became a concubine. So she might have known a lot of folk tales like this and that.'
When she thinks like that,
"Lady. His Excellency Duke Valentino has come to visit."
Argon asked in surprise at those words.
"Why Duke Valentino? What? Are you two meeting again?"
"Don't talk nonsense. If your business is done, please leave."
As soon as Kanna sent out Argon, Sylvien came in.
"Welcome. Your Excellency the Duke. Please sit down."
"Sorry. I guess I interfered."
"No, it's okay."
Leah handed Kanna the tea and left the room. But Sylvien didn't even touch his tea.
"What brought you here?"
"Unfortunately, a mistake was made."
Sylvien spoke calmly and held out the documents on the table. And he explained the situation.
"Ah, I see. Well, it's okay."
In the past, when she was obsessed with divorce, she would have protested with her eyes lit up, but now it was different.
'Kanna Addis' life will end soon anyway.'
"I will make sure to submit this one. Could you hand me your documents?"
"Please do so."
Sylvien obediently handed over his documents. Kanna confirmed her signature.
"Is this what happened?"
"Yes."
As if that was the end, Sylvien stood up. But he sat down again immediately.
Kanna looked at him with a puzzled look. Did he just sit down after getting up?
'What did you do?'
Sylvien leaned comfortably against the back of the sofa as if he had no intention of getting up again.
He tapped his knee with his finger as if he was deep in thought and then raised his head.
Our eyes met.
"Lady of the Duke of Addis."
"Yes?"
"Do you know how long it has been since the divorce was finalized?"
Then he said something unexpected.
"Well. Hasn't it been a little over a month now?"
"Yes, you're right. It's exactly 45 days today."
Kanna was impressed by his attention to detail. Does he even remember such little things?
"It's only been 45 days since my marriage of over 7 years ended."
"So?"
"But are you already looking for a place to remarry?"
A hint of mockery appeared on Sylvien's face. Kanna was startled by his sarcastic expression.
It's Sylvien. Sylvien, whom she saw the day before the marriage annulment ceremony, had one layer of his mask removed, revealing his bare face.
"You used to advertise in newspapers, but now you're even taking them home?"
Sylvien muttered calmly and snorted. It was an uncharacteristically disrespectful attitude.
"Don't you think it's too fast?"
Kanna was speechless. He seemed to have a huge misunderstanding, but that aside.
'Why is he like that?'
Kanna couldn't understand why Sylvien was upset about that. Is it too early like he said?
'What does it matter whether I remarry or not?'
When Kanna thought about that, she got annoyed. Kanna responded coldly.
"I didn't know you had the right to interfere in my private life."
"I'm talking about minimal courtesy."
"Did you just say it was polite?"
"That's right."
Kanna was shocked and stared at him. She can't believe the words "minimum courtesy' came out of that mouth. He was a man who didn't care whether she died or not!
It was so shameless that Kanna was amazed.
In fact, if rumors spread that his ex-wife was having an affair with another man, his reputation may be lost. But it had to end only with dissatisfaction in his heart.
He has no right to say something like this out loud.
"I was polite enough. I waited for over 7 years for my husband, who had been neglecting me and not even attending the first night. But is there any reason to be more patient to save face?"
At those words, a smile escaped Sylvien's lips. It was a blatant ridicule.
"Do you really need a man like that?"
Kanna couldn't believe her ears. Did she hear it wrong?
To say that she heard correctly was a crude accusation that did not suit Sylvien.
But the next moment, her doubts were cruelly shattered.
"Kanna Addis, it seems you can't live without a man."
It would have been better to get slapped. It was that level of insult.
Kanna's mouth twitched. Anger that she could not hide flowed over her face.
"What did you say just now?"
"You heard."
When her straight expression distorted, was he satisfied?
A smile appeared on Sylvien's lips again.
"So, aren't you looking for a new man as soon as you get divorced?"
A cruel contempt flashed in his beautiful blue eyes.
"So, is Prince Argon your new friend this time? On my behalf?"
Clank!
Kanna put down the teacup. Then she smiled softly.
"Then what are you going to do?"
She is leaving soon. So this will be her last conversation with Sylvien. After today, she would never see him again.
In other words, there is no need to endure anything.
"Whether I date Prince Argon or remarry, it has nothing to do with you. Even if it makes you uncomfortable."
Kanna shrugged her shoulders indifferently.
"What do I need to know?"
"..."
"I'm not interested in anything about you. So there is no need to worry."
Sylvien couldn't say anything, as if his tongue had been cut off. Kanna waited for a moment and then resumed her words.
"If it's so unpleasant for you to see me with another man, then you should also meet a new woman. That's okay, right?"
There was silence after that. Kanna wasn't afraid or awkward about the silence. She just waited leisurely sipping her tea.
Sylvien's lips opened.
"I had no feelings for you."
"I know."
"But now you are very annoying."
Kanna slightly raised her eyebrows. He said once again.
"You're annoying."
Only after emphasizing it did Sylvien become convinced that this feeling was sincere.
This strange feeling she felt during the wedding ceremony. This was not a momentary impulse.
Sylvien wanted to oppose Kanna's decision. He wanted to hold her back as she tried to leave and block her path.
He wanted to crack that emotionless face that seemed to feel nothing.
Why does he want to disturb her so much?
There is only one answer. Probably because he hates her.
Although he had never really liked or disliked someone intensely, Sylvien knew that it was the latter.
That's probably why he wants to sabotage everything. It was a grumpiness he had never experienced before. It was so childish that even he couldn't believe it.
"That's a very surprising confession."
Kanna also had a hard time believing what Sylvien said.
Sylvien honestly says he hates her. It was a scene as unrealistic as saying he liked it.
But that was it, there were no further impressions.
"I don't even care about your feelings."
Kanna paused for a moment.
"Your Excellency Duke Valentino, you have been rude enough so far. So, I will no longer be polite."
Perhaps the words she will say in the next moment will be the last words Kannq say to him in this life. But she didn't want to hesitate.
Kanna pointed to the door.
"Get out of my room right now."
That was the end. It was an ending that suited her and him very well.
thank you for translating. I was looking for this for tooooo long. Great work thank you
ReplyDeleteI hate you sylvien!!!!
ReplyDeletethis is nonsense, they had to submit divorce documents to 3 different places and get all of their approval to continue with the divorce, but suddenly some documents slipped through everyone's minds??
ReplyDeleteOmg Kanna- just say "I ain't involved with the Prince!"
ReplyDeleteAnd i don't mean her ex-husband, but everyone cause she has put a target on her back for her stubbornness. Like GURL- he's the Prince. Sure he may not be interested in the throne but it doesn't matter since royal blood runs in those veins. For someone who is supposed to be so cunning you just- ugh.
I give up on this story officially. I can't stand it, so many situations could have been avoided if Kana just spoke up. And her holding on to her past so stubbornly has put her in trouble so. Many. Times. She seductived her brother making on a Yandere and the other.. idk even know any more. I'm not saying she should forget, but to live on. She literally can live in peace but she just keeps on making enemies with EVERYONE. And the amount of male suitors that she has and she's oblivious of it 🫠
If Kana found her bio father drop dead gorgeous and she looks so much like him that Raphael knew she was the Spirits daughter then by that logical of course guys are interested in her, but even if the guys outright tell her "I'm flirting with you" she's like "Is this a ploy"
It was not a pleasantly ride. Kana is so stupid. And I applaud anyone who can make since her logic cause apparently she Marries her step Dad cause she is just ew.
Bye
Re-read my comment, I realized there are some typpos, but I was just that pissed. Summarize:
ReplyDeleteKana should have made it clear to everyone that she isn't involved witht the Prince, but her stubbornness has made her a target to everyone including her allies. She should have cleared up some misunderstanding and made allies instead of making enemies at every turn, like where is her maid Leah- we don't know cause she doesn't use her allies well cause she is too prideful and has such a large ego that she wants to show off her cunning tot he point that when one of her "allies" helps her she lashes out at everyone cause she wanted to show off. She could have played it cool and waited for an opportunity but noooo she keeps making things difficult by wanting to gloat. Her cutting things off with Kallan was so stupid, she could have played it cool but she such had to ruin it herself after her divorce, as if Kallan didn't have her business under his names or had control of the money, what did she expect, how stupid can she be. So many things she could have done be she. I hate her.
And if she's so resourceful why doesn't she use her beauty, or do what she did on the island and win ppl over, I hate her so bad. I can't. Okay, now bye, officially.
say it w me: it is not kanna's responsibility to rectify any negligent misunderstandings dimtwats have of her. people are responsible for their own misunderstandings. end of. no if, ands, or whataboutisms of it. they can go to hell and honestly so can you for sounding like someone who blames victims for their mistreatment.
DeleteHmmm no I don't want this to be the end of them
ReplyDelete
