TAPGB - Chapter 18

The Abandoned Prince's Ghost Bride

Huh!

I took a sharp breath and blinked my eyes. It was a familiar ceiling.

"Ha, dream..."

Lucian realized it was a dream and wiped his dry face. Then, an unfamiliar face that wasn't there just a moment ago suddenly appeared.

"Uh? Are you really awake?"

"..."

Lucian was so shocked that he couldn't even react. Was it like that for 5 seconds?

"Ahhhhhhhhh!"

Lucian's screams echoed throughout the mansion. Caesar was startled and stepped back like a puffed-up cat, and I who was preparing food for health on the first floor, was also startled and came up through the floor.

[What's the matter?! What's the matter!]

"Lee, Leah! Who is that person?"

As soon as Lucian saw me, he hurriedly sought my arms.

[Ah, you were surprised because of Caesar?]

"Caesar?"

Now that he looks at it, the face of that man named Caesar looks familiar.

Meanwhile, Caesar was confused as he saw Lucian lying strangely in the air, talking to himself as if he was talking to someone. At that time, the slate floated in the air, and started writing something.

"Leah, what are you doing?"

[Caesar can't see me, so we have to talk like this.]

Did you wake him up?

Contrary to the friendly tone of voice, the writing on the stone tablet was not very friendly. Of course, Caesar couldn't have known the difference.

"No, because even though he's completely healed, he's not waking up. Why is he doing that? No way... Do you see it?"

As I shook the slate up and down, Caesar's eyes widened.

"Crazy! Do you see ghosts? I want to see it too!"

Caesar approached closely, his eyes flashing nervously.

Lucian trembled, and I hugged him tightly, wary of Caesar.

Even though the stone slab was pushed all the way to prevent him from approaching, Caesar ignored it and pushed his face right in front of Lucian's nose.

"Hey! Kid!"

Puck-!

As soon as Caesar opened his mouth,  I hit a stone slab on his head. Before he could escape, Caesar covered his head.

"Woo... Why hit me! You said you like me too!"

You put a burden on Lucian first, and what a kid! There is definitely a name like Lucian!

"Who cares what I call him!"

Lucian looked back and forth between my writing on the stone tablet and Caesar's. The conversation wasn't all that smooth because I had to write. Lucian nudged my arm.

"Shall I tell him for you?"

[No, that's enough. This is enough for him.]

"Still, it's uncomfortable."

Well, it's not wrong...

If I were to tell you what I said straight away, I think it would be uncomfortable in its own way.

Just as I was thinking, Caesar, who caught Lucian not only looking at me but also talking to me, snorted.

"You sure know how to see! Little Kid. Ah, no, Lucion! How on earth do you see that ghost?"

“It’s Lucian, not Lucion.”

"Ok? Ah, sorry, sorry. So Lucian, do you see that ghost?"

"Yes, but you're not scared even though you know that Leah is a ghost?"

"Leah? Is that really the name of a ghost?"

"Yes, that's right."

This time, Caesar made a sullen expression as if there was something else he didn't like.

"When I asked her to tell me her name, she said she didn't have a name. Who are you discriminating against now? Is this because he's your groom? I've lived 250 years longer than him!"

[That lizard bastard is at it again.].

"2... 250 years?"

Unlike me, who clicked my tongue, Lucian became dizzy for an incredible number of years.

As Lucian gaped and pointed at Caesar, I explained.

[He is a 295 year old hatchling. So, it's a red dragon.]

"D-Dragon? Are dragons real?"

Do you like children's books so much but think there are no dragons?

"What? What did the ghost say just now?"

"Priest, no, she said you were a red dragon."

"Hmm! Yes. I am Caesar of the great Red Dragon Clan! You insignificant human being! Why don't you bow your head right now!"

[You can just ignore it. Because he hasn't become an adult yet and I'm immature.]

"Is he still a kid?"

[He's a kid. You kid. Ah, this damn curse.]

I slapped him in the mouth, and Caesar, who didn't know what was going on, went on a rampage. asking if it was just the two of them talking about something interesting.

[For your information, it was Caesar who saved and treated you yesterday. There is no pain anymore, right?]

Only then did Lucian realize that his body was light. His knees, which had been bruised and bleeding profusely, were intact without a single scar, and the soles of his feet, which had been mangled by thorns and stones, were smooth.

Besides, his voice was very hoarse from calling Leah yesterday, but his voice came out like an oriole.

When Lucian looked at Caesar, he crossed his arms and looked down with a blunt look in his eyes. Lucian got out of my arms and bowed.

"Thank you for saving me, Caesar."

Startle.

Caesar trembled. For some reason, he felt restless and could not react easily.

In my eyes, he seemed embarrassed.

"Keu, keuhm! I just need to know that you're grateful... !"

After all, he's not good at compliments. I had a feeling that if he were in dragon form, his tail would move in all directions.

"And Leah is the name I gave her. She said she didn't have a name, so I named her 'Leah'."

"Okay? Then it's true that she didn't have a name. Oh my, what a waste! Why didn't I think of giving her a name? If I had given it, it would have been a much cooler name."

"Do you have something in mind?"

"Elizabeth Ludion Deirian..!"

[Dismissed. It's too long and sloppy.]

"She says it's too long and sloppy."

Caesar froze in shock.

"Too bad! How dare you reject the name given to you by this body! This ghost..! "

"No, is it Lia now?"

[Ugh, when is that lizard going to grow up? His mom must be really tired too.]

I shook my head and covered Lucian's mouth as he tried to say what he wanted to say.

[You don't have to tell me everything. If I tell you everything I say, the mansion will blow up?]

"Then when will I tell him?"

[Hmm... You take care of it. Except when I swear.]

Looking at his innocent face, I can't bear to curse at Caesar anymore.

[I was making breakfast, so let's go to the kitchen together. Are you hungry because you didn't even eat dinner last night?]

"Yes. I'm hungry."

[I'll make you something delicious right away.]

I went out first, followed by Lucian, and finally, Caesar followed, calling out to us both.

"No matter how you look at it. It's amazing. You really know how to see Leah, right? Did you see a ghost from the beginning?"

"No. Leah is the first time I've seen a ghost."

"Eh? Nonsense. If you know how to see Leah, doesn't that mean you can see other ghosts too?"

"But I can't see it. And after hearing about Leah, I realized that I hadn't even seen her from the beginning."

"Then how did you come to see her? Did you use some kind of magic?"

"That's not it, I just saw it because I thought I wanted to see Leah."

At his words, both Caesar and I stopped and looked at him. I also didn't know how Lucian was able to see me. I just thought it was something that happened through the soul, but maybe that wasn't the case?

"Then why can't I? I want to see Leah too!"

Caesar started whining again. Unlike me, who was disgusted, Lucian was so kind that he accepted his whining.

Looking at it this way. I think the ages of the two people should have changed. Disgusting guy. Why are you whining like that?

[Lucian, tell that guy to change into something else because he's disgusting.]

"Uh, Mr. Caesar, Leah said that. It's disgusting, so I want you to change your appearance."

"How do I look now? It's a polymorph that completely embodies my gorgeous appearance?"

[It's only worth watching if your actions match your face.]

"She says it's worth watching if your actions match your face."

"Tsk. It's the same thing I'm talking about with my mom."

[What? Have you been nagging me before?]

Caesar, who was grumbling, snapped his fingers. Then his appearance changed from a young man in his 20s to someone around Lucian's age. Lucian opened his eyes round and looked at Caesar, who was at the same eye level as him.

"What you looking at?"

Of course, only the appearance changed, but the substance remained the same.

"I was wondering why it smelled so delicious.."

Caesar looked around the kitchen where cooking was in progress with a puzzled look on his face.

"Caesar, have you eaten?"

"Uh?"

Ah, so When Caesar was embarrassed and could not easily open his mouth. I explained,

[Lucian, he doesn't have to eat.]

"Yes? why?"

"What else is Leah saying?"

"She says you don't have to eat"

"It's not wrong... I feel strangely bad."

What's there to feel bad about?

[I'm just telling the truth.]

"You know how to do this, but you've never served me a meal?"

Caesar puffed out his cheeks, showing signs of disappointment. Perhaps because he looked as young as Lucian, I didn't feel as uncomfortable as before.

"Lucian, don't you think this is too much? It's been over 250 years since I came to this mansion, and I haven't been treated to a meal once."

[Lucian. Ignore what he says. He's the one who says human food is trivial anyway and doesn't suit his taste.]

Lucian seemed confused, not knowing who to listen to. Meanwhile, I put food on a plate and handed it to Lucian.

Since he had been fasting for almost half the day, he was given soup and soft bread to warm his stomach. Instead of saying thank you, Lucian glanced at his plate.

"Caesar, would you like some?"

Then he thrust his own in front of Caesar. Caesar was embarrassed, and I was also dumbfounded.

"I heard that I have never eaten anything that Leah did. Leah's food is the best! There's nothing tasteless!"

"Hmm! If you say it that way..."

[For those who can't even say thank you... Lucian, you don't have to take care of it.]

"But it's still good to eat together.

[Wow, a nice guy at heart.]

I shook my head and handed Lucian another one.

Caesar was already eating the food Lucian gave him. He savored his food with an expressionless face and then moved his spoon without saying a word. Lucian grinned when he saw him quietly inhaling.

"It's delicious, right?"

"What? It's worth eating."

Caesar's cheeks flushed. Seeing him satisfied, Lucian smiled brightly as if he was even happier and began to eat himself.

Lucian raised the corners of his mouth brightly, as always.

"It's delicious today too, Leah."

[I made it without your assistance. Does it fit your mouth? Not salty or bland?]

For a moment. Caesar's hand trembled.

"Yes. I think you're doing well without me now, right? It would be nice if Leah could eat together too."

[It's okay. I can't even smell it. I don't know how delicious it is in the first place.]

Lucian and I looked at each other and giggled. But I felt a stinging gaze.

I turned my head and made eye contact with Caesar.

"Huh? Do you make eye contact?

A feeling of déjà vu, like I've felt it before somewhere...

"Wow, wow!"

When Caesar screamed, Lucian, who was eating soup, heard a scream, and I trembled and took a step back.

"Kek! Hehe!  Why, what's wrong

[Why is he like that again?]

Caesar fell off his chair and looked up at Lia with a blank expression. There's something strange about me too.

Feeling like I had experienced this before, I tilted my head and approached him.

[No way, can you see me?]

Caesar nodded with a blank expression. I And Lucian's eyes widened and looked at each other.

"Wow! Do you see the real Leah? how?"

[No... How does this happen?]

Did some kind of miracle happen? Caesar, who has never even heard a voice, let alone a silhouette, can suddenly see me?

I didn't do anything special, but it was so sudden...

At that time, something caught my eye. That's the food that Caesar ate. The first time Lucian saw me was after eating the food I gave him. Of course, Lucian did not see me immediately after eating her food. but the only thing they had in common was that they ate the food I made.

Caesar, who had been shouting. 'wow' all the time, screamed and jumped up from his seat. Caesar walked towards me and looked up at me.

"You are Leah."

For some reason, his green eyes flickered. When I wondered what was going on, transparent tears fell down his eyes.
