SPMB - Chapter 75

My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone

 "..."

"I have something to tell you."

The rain pouring down on her body feels like violence.

When she came to her senses, she saw that Kalen had gone up to her and was tilting his umbrella. The rain that couldn't stop fell on Kallen's shoulder.

"Why don't you wait at the mansion?"

Was it because he was overly surprised or embarrassed? Kalen's throat hurt. It was hot as if he had swallowed a fireball.

"I don't think you will meet me."

Kanna's weak voice pierced his heart like a dagger.

Okay. That was her intention.

"So you waited here?"

"I thought if I didn't do this, I wouldn't be able to meet you."

Kanna whispered weakly and smiled slightly. She was soaked in rainwater and looked like she was about to break.

"Kalen. I have something to say."

At that moment. Kanna's body swayed. Kallen grabbed her shoulders and held her up as she collapsed.

"...!"

And immediately a shock hit his head.

'Oh my God.'

Kanna's body was as cold as ice!

"Cough!"

At that time, Kanna coughed. But something was strange. At this moment, when he was confused by the smell of thick grass, dirt, flesh, sweat, rain, and all kinds of smells, a strong smell of iron suddenly hit him.

This scent...

'No.'

No, that can't be true.

Kallen hurriedly grabbed Kanna's shoulder, denying it without even knowing what it was.

"...!

Kallen's eyes opened wide. The corners of her mouth were wet with blood!

At that moment, Kanna collapsed. Kallen reflexively hugged her. She was so light that it was scary. She was horribly cold.

It was like a corpse with an empty soul. The moment he thought that an ominous feeling rang an alarm.

Bang!

"Call the doctor right away!"

She didn't know when he ran all the way to the mansion. Was the yelling he just made Kalen's?

"Kalen? What the hell is going on?"

"I told you to call a doctor! Hurry!"

Chloe asked, but couldn't be heard. It wasn't even visible. The doctor quickly ran to Kallen's frosty command.

"How is it? Is he okay?"

"..."

The doctor did not answer. Shaded eyes. Kallen's heart sank in the thick darkness.

"Why is there no answer?"

"That is."

"Say it straight."

"Her pulse is beating very faintly. Detailed... Progress I think I understand....: Her breathing is weak... She is also faint... Severe high fever..."

The words of the congressman could be heard infrequently through my head, which was blinking white.

Kallen's expression became scary. Unlike his messed up and distorted mind, his face was colder than ever.

"So what is the conclusion?"

"She is in critical condition."

The doctor sighed and shook his head.

"I'm sorry, but you'd better prepare your mind."

 "That's nonsense."

Kallen ordered, suppressing the desire to grab the doctor by the collar and beat him up.

"Okay, you go out. And bring in another doctor."

However, all the doctors who came came to the same opinion.

The condition is serious, especially the fever. If the fever does not go down, she will die like this.

When the fourth doctor who came by gave the same diagnosis, Kallen ended up yelling.

"No way! My sister just got caught in the rain. Another doctor..."

It was then.

"Cough, cough!"

Kanna, who had fainted as if dead, coughed.

Then, suddenly, she coughed up blood. Not only did she start shaking, her whole body started to convulse.

"Kalen, please step aside for a moment!"

The doctor rushed in and checked Kanna's condition. He pushed his handkerchief into Kanna's mouth and turned her body to the side.

Fortunately. Kanna's seizure disappeared within a few seconds.

But in that brief moment, Kallen felt like he had fallen to the very end of hell. His hands, his forehead, and his entire body were drenched in sweat.

"It's calmed down now. If the fever is severe, seizures may occur, but this appears to be the case."

Kallen was completely speechless. Seeing him devastated, the doctor gave him advice.

"I will manufacture the medicine and upload it. Feed your sister well every hour, wipe off sweat from her body regularly, and change her clothes, and..."

Afterward, the doctor gave some advice.

"I will do it."

After the doctor left, the maid Leah tried to give her medicine, and Kallen spoke in a hoarse voice.

"I will take care of her."

Leah followed his words without a word. When the door closed, the space became sealed. Only then did Kallen slowly walk over and look down at Kanna.

His beautiful sister. His pale sister.

A sister who looks like a corpse. At that moment, a corner of his heart throbbed. In pain. Kalen sat down on her bedside and clutched his chest.

If.... How if...

'What if she really dies like this?'

If she dies like this. If she really dies...

"Kalen, I have something to say."

His sister said she had something to say. She said she had a story to tell. So, she came to see him for a few days. Despite not meeting him, despite even shutting him down.

"Kalen, I have something to say."

She kept coming back because she had something to say.

"I have something to tell you..."

What was it? What did she want to say so badly? Now that he has come, he has become desperately curious. What was it that made her wait for so many hours in the pouring rain? To make it like this, like this...

'You waited until you died, right?'

What does she mean? And why was it so difficult to listen to her that he avoided her?

'Because of me.'

For a moment, he was out of breath. It felt like someone was strangling him.

'Because I didn't listen to her.'

So she waited, throwing her whole body into the cold rain. What is the result? Kanna is sick. She's in pain. Maybe, really maybe, she will die.

What was even more damning was the fact that this scene was not unfamiliar. The Kanna he remembered was always sick, sad, and suffering. From her childhood until she became an adult.

His sister is always in pain. And damn it, he was still the perpetrator. As always, it was the same this time as well.

'I made it like this."

Kallen bent down and covered his face with both hands.

'It's all because of me.'

Suddenly, an old memory came to mind.

"Brother, do you know what? I kicked Kanna out of her house."

His immature.

"I told the drivers not to open the door. I guess that's why she's waiting outside the mansion."

In our Childhood. That time when I was Kallen, who listened to Isabelle's words with one ear, flipped through the book and said.

"Go away, Isabelle. I'm going to read a book."

"Hey, it's not fun. Aren't you happy that I finally kicked out Kanna?"

"Noisy. Go over there and play."

After kicking Isabelle out, he fell in love with reading. While he was reading a book until evening, he heard the sound of rain.

"..."

It's pouring rain.

"I guess she's waiting outside the mansion for me to open it."

Suddenly Isabelle's voice passed by, but he ignored it. Kalen left it alone. Kalen has no interest in it. No, maybe it would be better if she went somewhere else like Isabelle said.

Ten-year-old Kalen thought nothing of it. At that time, he did not think deeply about where a girl without a guardian would go or what kind of life she would lead.

Kalen forgot about it, and that evening, his mother, who was eating together, gave an order to the driver.

"His Excellency the Duke will be back soon. Before that, hurry and bring Kanna Inside."

A moment later. Kallen saw Kanna, who had fainted, being carried on the knight's back. Is it because she was outside for a long time? Her lips were pale blue. Like right now.

"..."

Kallen looked down at Kanna with a dark, sunken face. It was the same as back then. It hasn't changed since then. He excused himself by saying that it was different from when he was young. That he didn't know because he was immature at the time, and that he bullied her without knowing it. What has changed?

Kanna is still as sick as she was then. She's wet from the rain and suffering.

"I have something to talk about."

"I waited."

"I don't think you will meet me."

Kalen's head is burning with shame. Even so, I am a person who has been through difficult times recently. Yes, she was almost hunted by a crazy Prince. Was he that scared of losing control in front of Kanna?

Because he feels like he's becoming someone other than himself?

'What's wrong with that?'

Considering what he has done, her coldness means nothing. Even if it was too late, he should have been thankful that she changed her mind and came. If so, this wouldn't have happened.

"Sorry......"

Kallen carefully held Kanna's hand. Hands so small and thin that they look like they could break with even the slightest force. She is such a weak person. She is a woman who did nothing wrong. But this person is always sick. Pain and suffering have always been Kanna's share.

"I am sorry."

Kalen bent his back. He lowered his head and rested his forehead on the back of Kanna's hand. Before these hands, he was clearly a sinner.

"I was wrong. So please open your eyes quickly."

May she stand up and hear his plea.

"Please punish me, sister."
