ICTV - Chapter 3

I Changed The Villain

My mother was the only one in the Viscount Pale family to have black eyes and black hair. A wonderful lady who lifts her hair without leaving a single strand and maintains an upright posture. That was my mother.

How much time has passed? My brother asked, raising his hand.

"Mom, it's frustrating because it's dark. Huh. Can't we bring a few more lights?"

 I immediately shook my head.

"No. brother. That's just how you feel."

"But I'm frustrated. What needs to be seen to decide whether to have a meeting or not.”

“I feel liberated because I can’t see my brother's face.”

“This girl!”

As we were having a meaningless scuffle, my mother’s mouth finally opened.

"As expected, my daughter. You know something."

Right. My brother made a sound of pain and hastily straightened his back. I was the same way. The opening of the mother's mouth meant that the meeting was about to begin. What the hell was the meeting about today? No, in fact, I can guess what the problem is.

"Rose,"

Mother's black pearl-like eyes turned to me without wavering.

"Don't you have something to say to me?"

"..."

Whether before or after being possessed, these words scare me. Even if you haven't done anything wrong, just hearing this makes you sting. A thousand thoughts run through my head. I pretend to be as obedient as possible. Pretending to be calm, pretending to be all sorts of things, I nodded my head.

"Belial said goodbye to me."

"Yes. I heard about it from Beryl during the day.”

I would have spoken about this bastard only when the atmosphere in the house was good. I glanced at him, but Beryl only said something with a mouthful. I was going to hit him on the mouth with the palm of my hand, but I held back because I thought my hands would be contaminated.

“He really is a great man.”

Mother spread out a fan the same color as her hair.

"To overturn our expectations and say goodbye instead of a marriage proposal. Should I call this a blessing or a misfortune?"

"Definitely bad luck... Ouch!"

At the words of the mother, the older brother kicked off his seat and knelt on the table. My brother trembled and toiled for a while, then said, trying to keep his expressionless.

"It's unfortunate, of course."

Even so, he couldn't help the trembling of his voice, but he clicked his tongue. I've hit his knee on a table while bruising myself, so I know how terrible the pain is. It's pitiful, but it's even more fun knowing how sick my brother is right now. My brother shouted with tears hanging from the corners of his eyes.

“Of course, even if he proposed, I would have been pissed off. It was supposed to be Rose who said goodbye, not him!"

"Ah, son. Something is wrong with Duke Serenity."

"Why are we thinking about that guy's situation? Do I have to give it to you?!"

"That's right..."

My father, who tried to protect Belial but couldn't even pay for it, quietly shut his mouth. My brother put his hand on his chest and said,

"Mother! If you give me knights, I'll kill him right away...!"

My mother is good at talking to my brother with a single stroke.

"Woke up. On the contrary, you will die."

 "Mother!"

The writer was wrong. Why didn't such a unique character appear in the original work? When I first saw Primrose, I was very taken aback as it was my first time seeing this character. To tell her son that he would die without a second thought. I looked at my mother with tired eyes.

"You're not even a bite away from Belial."

"The word is not too bad."

My mother nobly shook the fan gently.

"But I agree with you to a large extent. that my daughter was dumped. The truth is too disjointed."

You give me a bottle and give me medicine.

"Mother?!"

"Shh. Baby. This is why you have to listen to what people say to the end."

Mother only says the right words from beginning to end. I nodded and agreed. My mother smiled and called me.

"Rose, the pride of our family, we only have one rose on the table,”

My brother muttered.

“A Rose is a kind of pumpkin flower..”

I stepped on my brother’s foot. Sucking hard to hold on to his feet this time. My father looked at my brother with sympathetic eyes.

 "This is really...!"

My brother glared at me, but I didn't pay attention. I just kept my eyes on my mother. My mother asked while making eye contact with me.

"What was your answer when he asked to break up with you?"

"What was your answer?"

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I couldn't answer anything."

The fact that I received a breakup notice from the novel's official obsessive man was so surprising that I was in no mood to do it. Oh my, I covered my mouth with a fan.

“Then the madman unilaterally stated his position and ran away.”

"It's kinda like that."

Let's agree and let out a small laugh.

"It's funny even after I said it. The Duke of Serenity, who didn't run away even in front of a large army of hundreds of thousands, ran away because of my daughter."

"..."

“I realize that Duke Serenity is weak against you.”

What if that person is weak against me? I was already kicked out, and the original was completely twisted. If I don't die here, the heroine will not be able to destroy Belial later.

Ha ha, I realized my situation again. What will I have to live with in the future? I have to live comforting the fact that there is no fine dust in this world. Then my mother grabbed me by the shoulder.

"I'll give you a carriage, so see him tomorrow."

My eyes widened in circles.

"Yes?"

“He unilaterally said what he wanted to say and left. It's disrespectful to look at. You go too. Say whatever you want to say and come back home."

"Even if you say so..."

I hesitated, then paused. How about going to his mansion tomorrow and holding on to the hem of his clothes? Belial seems to have already made up his mind to be single, but there is nothing worse than clinging to a lover who has already made up his mind.

However, if I go to the mansion tomorrow and don't distinguish between what I can say and what I can't, Belial won't be quiet if I just pour it out.

"Rose?"

Before meeting me, Belial was a madman who punished anyone who disobeyed him. It's not that my mother doesn't like him for nothing. Now, he is a big man but acting like a harmless retriever, but where does its nature go? If I do something truthful, he will surely pull out his sword and slay me with a single sword. Then I will be able to end my boring life as I wish. I nodded resolutely.

"Okay, I'll go."

When I answered, my brother immediately got up.

“Mother. Why are you sending her?! Send me instead! I'll  do it myself."

"Do you think you can do it well...? What you can do is sit by the window."

"Oh, it's just a bruise!"

"Beryl."

"I will never allow it! Until dirt gets in my eyes...!"

I asked a maid who had just entered the room to change the candle.

"Bring me one pot here."

"You've been stained by that bastard, too."

The older brother shouted loudly for the night to pass.

"You really just put dirt in my eyes. Look! I won't allow you anymore!"

What kind of rhythm are you telling me to match? I closed my ears and sighed deeply.

"I can do it well. Brother, trust me completely this time."

My face is more serious than ever, and my brother's spirit has softened.

"I'll clean up the relationship and come back. So don't worry too much."

My mother also chimed in.

"Rose is also already matured. She can do anything by herself."

"Hey."

I nodded my head expressionlessly.

"It was painful to meet you until now, so let’s not run into each other again. I’ll say that and come back.”

"Right, well done. My daughter."

"Sheesh. I can't help it if you say that. Have good luck tomorrow."

It's cruel!

My father trembled between us.

***

Sometimes I think I keep falling asleep at night and waking up during the day without anyone telling me to do this. During mealtime, they pick up the food set on the table and I eat it, and when it is time to go out, they wash and change my clothes.

When I am done, I lie down on the bed and pick up a book.

I fall asleep while watching If everyone was born as a human, they would do it naturally. But since when do those obvious things feel boring? It wasn't just work.

"Miss, shall we start grooming?"

I don't feel anything when I look at the people I'm with. Just 'Oh, Ann is my friend'. 'Oh, these are my family.' I just became aware of this.

If the other person knew what I was thinking, they would be disappointed, but I can't help it. It's not that I didn't try, it was that I tried to be happy when people were happy and angry when they were angry. But it was only for that moment. After that moment, the world felt achromatic again.

I don't want to think about anything. I don't want to say anything. I don't want to do anything. I blankly looked into the mirror. As Mera was combing my hair, she made a sound of pain.

"It's starting again. Please forgive the rudeness My..."

Mera put down her hairbrush and grabbed my shoulder. And shook it violently without mercy.

"Miss!"

Mera's hair, which had been neatly combed at best, swayed here and there. It looks like riding a rollercoaster. This is kind of funny, so I ordered her.

 "Shake a little harder."

 "Miss!!!"

What do you think you should see and live on? I'm going crazy because life is boring. Seeing me combing through my hair, Mera grabbed her forehead.

“I really like you, but sometimes I don't understand you."

"Sorry."

"No. There was no need to apologize."

Mera lingered and pointed to the dressing room.

"Please decide on a dress to wear quickly."

I've never been into shopping. My dressing room has a variety of dresses. It was full of lace and ornaments. I asked while standing in front of the dressing room.

 "What day is it today?"

 "Seventh days."

She nodded and counted the dresses hanging on the hanger one by one. One, two, three, four, five. six, seven...

I still wear the seventh dress. I caught the eighth dress.
