TVHR - Chapter 120

"You must stay alive until my daughter returns."

He said.

"Until the day you are forgiven by my daughter... you will regret today."

"Ugh... That girl didn't just interfere with my work... *Cough*!"

"You will regret it, but you won't be able to turn back time. Feeling every single one of your cells and nerves melting, transforming, and melting away moment by moment, you will still be alive."

Cherty Bellion bent down and grabbed Galio by the collar.

"I'll make it happen."

Galio glared and stiffened at Cherty Bellion's calm voice.

"Until the day this child opens their eyes and says they forgive you. Continuously."

Cherty threw him to the ground just as Galio had done to Roselyn.

Then, he slowly lifted Roselyn's body after the procedure was finished.

Devon Bellion, who came out late and saw the scene, clicked his tongue and shook his head.

'I wonder who would call my son her father.'

The way he smiled sweetly in front of the enemy he had to kill was exactly like his daughter.

“Master.”

In the midst of Cherty Bellion's rage, a mournful voice was heard from beside him.

Only then did Devon Bellion take his eyes off his son.

When he turned my head, there was Dean, the butler, in the somehow dark daylight.

"...Dean, what is this?"

The butler bowed slightly at Devon Bellion's heavy question.

"This is the letter the Young Lady... asked me to deliver to the Master in the event of any misfortune befalling her."

Devon Bellion, having received the letter from the butler, smiled broadly and nodded.

“Dean.”

"Yes."

Devon took out a cigar, put it in his mouth, and nodded.

Chi-Ik-

"Take that bastard to the basement. I'll teach him a lesson myself. How dare he lay a hand on my daughter, and now even my granddaughter?"

Devon gritted his teeth hard between the cigar he was holding.

The butler leaned forward politely to light Devon's cigar, then extinguished the match and straightened his back.

“Yes, master.”

"Ah. Go ahead and break a leg or two as much as you want. I'm the one who'll crush that bastard's bones."

"Thank you."

The elderly butler, who was well aware of Devon's monstrous strength, smiled kindly and strode toward Galio. He placed his spotless, pitch-black shoes on the back of Galio's knees as he lay fallen, and then applied force to his feet.

Crack!

"Aaaah!!"

The captain of the Royal Guard screamed as if to wash away the Duke's estate.

"These, these, these bastards..."

"Congratulations on stirring up the monster's hornet's nest."

The butler whispered softly and politely, leisurely grabbed him by the collar, and disappeared into the mansion as if he were not heavy.

Arma looked down at the scene for a long time as if watching it, then disappeared into the darkness with his fists tightly clenched.

"...A letter.”

Devon looked down at the letter for a moment where everyone had disappeared, then let out a short sigh and turned around.

As he hesitated and fiddled with it, the envelope remained unopened.

Not long after silence settled in the garden, someone emerged from the shadows.

"It was good that you used your head that far... but I don't know why you think there wouldn't be a price to pay for traveling between dimensions..."

The man, Garen Wilbreed, let out a short sigh as he leisurely slipped his hands into his coat pockets.

"I can't just let it slide after she even made such bold promises; I am simply at a loss."

The top of his forehead bulged, and soon a horn slowly sprouted.

Pitch-black, bat-like wings sprouted from his back, and then huge wings spread out wide enough to envelop several people.

The long, jet-black tail exposed below the waist swayed lightly.

"I'm going to get scolded by my wife again."

The huge wings moved slowly, and then suddenly, BANG! With a loud sound like thunder, they flapped their wings roughly once.

In that place where a strong wind had blown, nothing existed anymore.

***

The world was dark.

Her whole body grew colder and colder. Even as her limbs trembled uncontrollably, there was nothing Roselyn could do.

She could only curl up in the cold.

However, before long, she felt as though darkness was warmly enveloping her.

As if the darkness had become a blanket.

Even after that, Roselyn could not open her eyes for a long time and drifted blankly somewhere.

"Your attempt was good, but it was reckless. It is not proper for humans to forcibly defy God's arrangements."

Roselyn frowned.

'What...?'

It was because an unlucky voice was calling out from somewhere, humming loudly.

Roselyn thought it was a lamentable thing that she had to hear this man's voice even in her dreams after death.

"Just so you know, this is the unconscious, so I can hear all your thoughts."

A low laugh was heard, but Roselyn could not understand at all what the person resembling Garen's voice was saying.

"I'm only helping you this one time. You..."

He laughed.

"Since you promised to be my daughter. Surely no parent would turn a blind eye to their child's danger."

She wanted to shout at him to stop talking nonsense, but no voice came out.

"...It seems you have been safe in this dimensional rift until now thanks to that little one hiding a part of his abilities."

It was then.

The huge shadow cast over the head.

"Are you interfering in human affairs, Bathin? I never expected to see such a precious being here."

The demon with huge wings glanced up at the massive shadow covering its head and smiled.

"You can't just leave something precious unattended."

<...Precious thing? What is it?>

"If you don't recognize me, that's fine. And make sure you remember. Even if you meet me in the future."

<Huh...?>

"Don't talk to me so casually."

Quaaaang~!

Just as everything around her flashed pure white, countless things shaped like lightning struck the shadow cast over her head.

The shadow that had spoken to her out of brief curiosity screamed and vanished.

"Of course, I wouldn't be able to bet it now, though."

In the pitch-black darkness, it reached out its hand while holding Roselyn in its arms.

Something that was a shadow began to squirm and gather in the man's hand.

Then, it gradually condensed and became a single archetype.

He placed it in Roselyn's hand and slowly sliced through the air with his long, sharp fingernails.

The darkness tore open, and its mouth gaped.

"That should be enough for the toll. Keep your promise, Roselyn."

He shoved Roselyn into the darkness that had opened up.

Roselyn, surrounded by a thin film of darkness, eventually floated and disappeared into the gaping darkness as if being devoured.

Roselyn was flying for a while.

It was just rich.

It seemed like sleeping, and also like floating.

"...Huh!"

How long has it been like that?

She frowned at the loud noise and twisted her body.

"Hey, Rose! Wake up!"

Startled, she sprang up from her seat.

Thud!

She hit her forehead hard against something right in front of her, opened her eyes wide, clutched her forehead, and groaned.

"Hey, how can you still be sleeping? I thought you were dead with a crooked mouth. Wake up! It's time for our group to go begging!"

Roselyn blinked blankly and pointed at herself with her finger.

"...Begging? Me?"

"Of course it's you! Who else but you! Hurry up!"

Roselyn was forcibly dragged away by a young girl who grabbed her by the collar.

'...What is this again?'

Roselyn Bellion, 17 years old.

The only Princess of the Duke of Bellion, and the only Princess of the Empire.

The genius who brought down Makluxa, and the current Crown Prince's fiancée

She tells the story of how she died and came back to life as a beggar.

'...I'm bored.'

Roselyn thought blankly as she was held captive by the beggar, dragging her short body roughly.

She thought of Garen Wilbreed.

She didn't want to admit it, but no matter how she looked at it, the only thing she could rely on was becoming that family's daughter.
