'No way?'
The anxious beastmen ran toward the sound of a dog barking.
The beastmen, forgetting even the rudeness, flung open the door.
The scenery unfolding before their eyes was the exact opposite of their imagination.
There was no situation where they would clear their throat and look away, or cover their eyes in surprise.
King! King!
"..."
Noelier was holding a wolf with a very displeased look on his face, and Ed, sitting underneath, was wagging his tail, asking to be shown his friend quickly.
"Chief, what happened?"
"Could it be that the wolf you are holding in your arms is... Lady Eve?"
The dragons that followed asked in a bewildered voice.
"Why did you suddenly turn into a wolf, Eve?"
“I don’t know either.”
Noelier spat it out in a voice full of irritation, as if crushing it.
The beastmen exchanged glances and quickly brought Ed to their side.
Then he glanced at the wolf in Noelier's arms.
They were perceptive, too. That wolf was definitely Eve.
Damn it... A sigh-mixed curse burst from Noelier’s mouth.
“Take this out too.”
Noelier held out the wolf he was holding in his arms in an irritated voice.
...You liked me so much when I was human, yet you changed so suddenly.
Even though he is a cold-hearted leader, this seemed a bit too much.
To think it was even 'this.' It did not align with the ideology of dragons who revered companions.
However, there was no dragon that could utter such words.
"Wait a minute, brother!"
Rachel was Noelier's only rival.
"How could you do that? How dare you... to my older sister...!"
“Rachel.”
"..."
"I don't want to talk about this anymore."
“Brother!”
"You get out too. I want to stop talking."
Rachel clamped her mouth shut at Noelier's cold voice. The corners of her eyes flushed red.
"You stupid reptile!"
Rachel, on the verge of tears, ran out of the room.
“Ah, lady!”
Several dragons and Zion followed Rachel.
He seemed to be in a very bad mood, to the point of speaking like that even to the young lady.
They carefully picked up the wolf.
“We’ll find a way.”
The dragons left the room with a greeting and looked down at the wolf in their bosom.
Dragons hated wolves.
However, if they thought of this squirming little wolf as Eve, it was somewhat bearable.
Okay.
The wolf groaned and rubbed its cheek against its palm.
Ugh. For a moment, it felt like his heart was under strain.
The dragons, clutching their chests, shouted in a determined voice.
"Don't worry, Lady Eve. We will unconditionally restore you to your original state!"
King!
At the energetic voice, the wolf barked vigorously in response.
"..."
Julie, who was standing behind them, gazed intently at them.
"What."
She let out a sarcastic laugh.
"It looks like it's going to be easier than I thought."
Julie's eyes gleamed sinisterly.
***
The beastmen played with the wolf with all their heart and soul.
The wolf also seemed excited by the vigorous play, giggling happily.
"Cute..."
One of the beastmen muttered to himself without realizing it and hurriedly covered his mouth.
Even though it was a wolf now, it was undeniably the leader's mate. They couldn't carelessly call it cute.
But...
"Lady Eve, you should eat."
Kang!
How could anyone not find a little wolf approaching while wagging its tail like that adorable!
The dragons mercilessly struck the thighs. They didn't care if they got bruised. They wanted to overcome that cuteness with pain.
Dragons with wide grins on their lips shook the foxtail grass. A palm-sized wolf wildly swung its short legs to catch it.
"I want to die because you're so cute!"
“Let’s break the wall!”
Groans were heard from all directions.
The wolf, the very one who made the groan, blinked his innocent eyes and tilted his head.
“It’s cute!”
Unable to hold back, Zion hugged the wolf tightly. The wolf struggled as if frustrated.
"Don't do that, Zion. Your sister doesn't like it."
At Rachel's words, Zion quickly put Eve down.
The wolf, having scurried away from his embrace, approached Rachel.
As he rubbed his head against her feet, Rachel's warm hand tickled the wolf's neck.
"Cute..." Rachel almost said it out loud, but she held it back.
She didn't know what happened, but jer sister suddenly turned into a wolf. And an incredibly tiny baby wolf at that.
The claws were soft, and the silver fur was as soft as a newborn puppy.
Besides, how can she be so cute? Rachel couldn't help but groan.
'How could you ignore such a cute older sister right in front of me?'
Unbearable anger welled up inside her.
"You wicked reptile! I will never forgive you! May you breathe fire for the rest of your life!"
The dragons took a step back at the surging killing intent.
“Wow, it’s warm.”
Only Zion was sticking close to Rachel, giggling.
Rachel was fuming for quite a while when suddenly something warm touched her hand. The wolf licked Rachel's hand as if telling her not to be angry.
Her heart melted. Rachel, wearing a lovely smile as if she had never been angry, hugged the wolf tightly.
“I’ll hug you too..."
It was when Zion was grumbling dissatisfiedly.
"Shall I give you a hug?"
With a familiar voice, someone jumped onto Zion's shoulder.
It was Miya, a black cat.
“Miya!”
Zion's face brightened.
"How did you get here? Huh?"
"Well, I came here killing two birds with one stone."
Miya purred as she received a petting from Zion.
“Why are you here?”
Rachel glared at Miya. Her red eyes were chilling.
Miya burrowed into Zion's embrace as if he were a shield.
"Don't be like that, Rachel. Let's have some fun."
Zion smiled broadly and soothed Rachel. Rachel, with her lips tightly sealed, snapped her head away.
So that means it's a good thing. Zion giggled.
As the sun slowly set, it was suddenly completely swallowed by darkness. It was time to go to bed.
"Sister, sleep with me."
Rachel picked up the wolf. It was obvious that Noelier wouldn't even look at her sister just because she was a wolf.
“Good, right?”
King!
The wolf shouted in response.
"Miss."
It was then. Julie approached Rachel.
"Since Eve has been rolling around in the grass all day, I think it would be best for her to take a bath."
"A bath? We can do it together."
Then Zion suddenly interrupted.
"My older sister likes doing it in hot water. Are you sure that's okay?"
"A bath should always be hot water."
Miya helped out.
"..."
She absolutely hated hot things. Rachel pouted and handed Eve to Julie.
"It can't be helped. It's just a very brief farewell... See you later."
Julie left the room with a greeting.
Deep darkness had already settled over the castle.
Stuck.
As if sensing something ominous, the wolf let out a groan and looked at Julie.
A sinister smile formed on Julie's lips.
'I finally got my hands on it!'
Now, success would come if she just took this wolf back. The dream of becoming a billionaire was right before her eyes.
“If only I had this wolf!”
Julie, filled with joy, lifted the wolf high into the sky. Moonlight poured down on the wolf's back.
"I'm going to be rich!"
Just then, someone approached from behind Julie as she was humming a tune.
"What are you going to do if you become rich?"
"What am I supposed to do? I'll start with a house as an investment...."
She had been mindlessly rattling off her life plans when she suddenly shut her mouth. Cold sweat trickled down her back.
Julie, holding the wolf preciously in her arms again, slowly turned her head.
Bam!
A dull thud rose up the hallway. Roll. A dented ice apple rolled across the floor.
'So that's why you took such good care of the apple tree...'
The South's greatest weapon... With that thought as her last, Julie collapsed.
"Ha."
Eve let out a sigh and looked around. Fortunately, no one was watching.
"Eve."
Noelier appeared from behind the corner.
“Noel.”
"I was on edge, thinking something bad was going to happen."
Noelier hugged Eve with a tearful expression.
"What are we going to do with such a soft heart?"
Eve patted his back.
"What are you going to do now?"
"How else would I do it?"
Eve rummaged through her pockets. She held a bundle of herbs in her hand.
