Queen of Villains - Chapter 135

Emily and Priest Franz hid themselves and cautiously entered the banquet hall of the Rose Palace.

Emily's face hardened seriously when she saw that Killian was not using his main weapon, his gun, at all.

“It seems that magic power has been controlled so that it cannot be used in this space.”

Seeing Emily's expression, Priest Franz explained.

The knight commander, who had been running at high speed, swung his sword while closing the distance between himself and Killian.

Killian turned right and blocked Damian's attack with his now-useless gun.

Although he had a spare dagger, he was at a disadvantage in defense, let alone attacking properly against a longsword.

Killian looked around, preoccupied with defending against Damian's continued attacks.

Neither Prince Kite nor Marquis Huppert, who were engaged in a bloody battle with the enemy, seemed to have any spare swords to share with him.

“You won’t have time to take your eyes off it.”

Damian said so and swung his sword again.

'There's nothing I can do.'

Killian dodged with incredible reaction speed and put his gun on the ground.

He had even subdued an assassin with his bare body, so even if he couldn't use a sword or gun now, it wasn't a fight he couldn't win.

Suddenly, Killian leaned down, and Damian's body shook for a moment, losing his balance.

Killian didn't miss the gap, quickly turned back and stood up, then struck Damian's ribs with the tip of his elbow.

“Cough!”

As Damian's body slumped forward, he slammed a large fist into his face with all his might. His mouth burst open, and blood gushed out.

Still, as the commander of the 1st Knights of the Empire, he never let go of his sword even while writhing in pain.

'I have to take that sword.'

Killian glared at Damian's sword in annoyance.

As he was about to attack Damian again, Killian sensed something suspicious behind him and quickly moved to the side.

“I will kill you with my own hands.”

Lucius, who had come before he knew it, was standing there with his sword in hand.

“Priest!”

Emily, who was watching the scene, grabbed Franz's arm and shook it urgently.

“If this continues, my husband will die.”

“Where would the magic control device be...?”

Franz also looked around the banquet hall, swallowing nervously.

“Over there, over there!”

Soon, the priest pointed to the chair where the Emperor was sitting.

“It looks like the control panel is on the right armrest of the chair.”

Looking closely, they saw that the emperor's right hand was holding something.

"But..."

Emily frowned, as if frustrated.

There seemed to be no way to get there, through the midst of the knights fighting fiercely.

Then, what caught her eye was the second-floor railing overlooking the banquet hall.

“By any chance, Priest?”

Emily called Franz with a serious face.

“Is there a way to fire a magic bullet using divine power rather than magic?”

If you can't release the direct control device, you'll just have to destroy it.

"Yes?"

Even Priest Franz, who had been puzzled by Emily's words and questioned her, soon began to seriously consider her plan.

"I've never tried it before, but I think it's possible. However, if we concentrate divine power into the bullets, our appearance will inevitably be visible to the enemy."

It meant that instead of firing a divine bullet, you would risk being exposed to the enemy.

"All right."

But there was no other way. Emily nodded and moved to the second-floor railing with Franz.

As they went up to the second floor, fortunately, they could see a red button between the Emperor's thumb and index finger.

“The distance is too far, and the gap is too narrow. Can you shoot?”

Priest Franz asked in a worried tone.

Emily closed one eye and tried to gauge the distance to her target.

“I’ll try.”

She hit targets even further away than that.

Of course, training and actual combat might be different, but she decided to put that thought aside for the moment.

Regardless of whether she could or couldn't do it, this was something she absolutely had to do.

At Emily's unhesitating answer, the priest nodded resolutely and withdrew the sacred power that was enveloping his body.

Fortunately, the people below were so focused on the battle that they were completely oblivious to what was happening on the second floor.

Emily opened the loading gate at the back of the revolver's cylinder.

Emily, who had just turned the cylinder and emptied the chamber, handed the bullet to Franz with a tense face.

“Please take good care of me, Priest.”

“...Then let’s begin.”

The priest concentrated and poured divine power into the bullet.

He had to get this done quickly before anyone noticed on the first floor.

Emily watched the situation anxiously, looking back and forth between the first floor and Franz.

After expending so much power that sweat ran down his forehead in that short time, the bullet finally changed color and transformed into a blue crystal of divine power.

When their first attempt was successful, Priest Franz and Emily met eyes with bright faces.

“Now it’s your turn, ma’am.”

"Yes!"

Emily, who had received the bullet from Franz, quickly inserted the round into the cylinder.

Meanwhile, Killian was dealing with five men at the same time.

It was a force that Lucius had brought in because he judged that he and Damian could not possibly kill Killian alone.

Lucius sneered at Killian with a faint, unpleasant smile.

"Why don't you just die? There's no point in holding on like that."

As soon as one was dealt with, another knight appeared and attacked Killian.

Killian, unable to use a sword or a gun, was forced to fight only with martial arts, and he gradually felt his limitations.

“But it’s not to the extent that I should be beaten by someone like you.”

Killian rolled to the side to avoid the swords coming down at the same time, then pulled out the dagger from his calf and slashed Lucius' thigh with all his might.

“Ugh!”

Lucius collapsed to the floor with a pained expression on his face, glaring at Killian as if he was going to kill him.

“You idiots! What are you all doing instead of killing that guy right now!”

At Lucius' command, the knights rushed at Killian again.

The Empress, who was watching her son's battle scene from the palace, pleaded with the Emperor with tears in her eyes.

“Please stop, Lucius. What if something bad happens?”

“That guy...”

The Emperor also felt frustrated as he watched Lucius draw his sword and go inside without listening to his words.

There was no way that Lucius, who had never received proper training because he found it bothersome, could properly deal with S-rank Killian.

'The reason Marquis Huppert and Duke Howard betrayed me was that they didn't like Lucius as the successor.'

If Lucius had been diligently trained as a successor, the situation would not have resulted in even the nobles turning their backs on him.

Even before he cut his thigh, Lucius's movements were so sluggish that his next attack route was clearly visible.

“This won’t work. I have to bring him here quickly.”

It was when the Emperor was about to get up from his seat, leaning on his chair.

Ping!

Just as a small but sharp sound brushed past his ears, something exploded, and the Emperor slid down from his chair.

The Empress, who was sitting anxiously next to him, was also so surprised that she screamed.

In that confusion, everyone forgot about the battle for a moment and stared blankly in the direction of the Emperor and Empress.

“Now! Quick, put your guns up!”

Killian was the first to come to his senses at the sound of Emily's voice, which was so clear.

On the second floor, Emily was waving her gun with an anxious look on her face.

Surprisingly, it was Lucius who caught Killian's reason, who was about to run towards him right away.

“Emily, you’re here! You came to cheer me on!”

Lucius also found Emily standing on the second floor, still talking nonsense.

'Yes. I'll have to kill this guy first.'

Without hiding his boiling anger, Killian pulled out his revolver from the holster on his waist.

Lucius also picked up the sword he had dropped.

Seeing Emily's face, the one he had always dreamed of, and knowing that she was cheering him on, he didn't feel the pain of his injury.

“Die, Killian!”

Lucius, not knowing his own fate, rushed forward with his sword in his hand.

Killian relaxed his body and waited for him to reach his target distance.

And finally, he arrived at the desired location on his own two feet.

Killian kicked Lucius away from him, gaining distance, and then fired a magic bullet into his head.

In the first place, Lucius was no match for Killian.

“Lucius, no!”

As her son fell to the floor without making a sound, the Empress also screamed and fainted at the horrific sight.

“Phew...”

Because he fired the magic bullet directly at the target, Killian also had to take a direct hit on his left hand due to the recoil.

“Are you okay?”

Prince Kite, who was nearby, ran over and examined Killian.

Killian quickly shook his left hand and clenched and unclenched his fist to regain his senses.

Fortunately, the movement was not very uncomfortable.

With the Crown Prince's death and the release of his magical powers, the atmosphere in the opposing camp became tense.

"Boss!"

Even Giovanni was leading his organization members into the banquet hall.

Giovanni, who was increasingly losing ground in a situation where he could not fire a magic bullet, threw his last grenade at the enemy with a feeling of giving up.

But that coincided perfectly with Emily's timing of damaging the magic control device, and it succeeded in exploding.

Since it was detonated in a narrow hallway, some friendly forces were injured, but fortunately, there was no significant loss of power.

Seeing his subordinates safe and sound, he had nothing more to worry about.

Killian walked slowly towards the Emperor.

As he approached the Emperor, Captain Damian and the knights stood before him, swords drawn.

But dealing with the demoralized knights was too easy.

As the Starr organization joined in and fired magic bullets, the knights fell helplessly to the ground.

The Emperor had no choice but to sit on the floor with a blank expression and watch Killian approaching him.

“I’ve let you ruin my life for too long.”

Killian said, pointing his gun at the Emperor's face.

The Emperor closed his eyes quietly without saying anything.

Until this morning, the palace was bustling with servants, nobles, and many guests.

The sense of alienation that there were only enemies left made this situation feel like a dream.

“Do you have any final words?”

At those words, the Emperor slowly looked up.

Killian's face gradually blurred and overlapped with the face of the Duke of Velvet, whom he had killed.

The Duke's chilling gaze gave off an intimidating, almost unapproachable aura.

"I am."

The Emperor slowly opened his mouth, hiding his fear.

“I don’t regret my choice. The throne originally belonged to the Manfredi family.”

The Emperor sneered as if the Duke Velvet were standing before him.

"It wasn't me who attempted to usurp the throne, but you, House of Velvet. I'm ugly, but don't forget that you're just as ugly."

“It’s a shame that dog whining is your last will and testament.”

Killian hoped he might apologize to him, but it was a useless thought.

Without further hesitation, Killian pulled the trigger.

With the final gunshot in the palace, the Manfredi family came to an end.
