TMTNO - Chapter 85

Titiana's mood was extremely low upon her return to the tower. She had been living there since yesterday, having left Count Groval's residence.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!”

Titiana stamped her foot, recalling the gaze of Retri Hayley, who seemed to be looking at a weapon, neither with contempt nor jealousy.

“What’s wrong, Titi?”

“It’s all your fault!”

She slapped the cheek of the still-sunken Yuno.

Even Yuno's earlobes turned red, but Titiana didn't notice this.

“Yuno, from now on, listen carefully to what I say. Do you understand?”

“Yes, Titi.”

“How can I have it? What should I do...!”

Titiana paced back and forth in the study, and Yuno was lost in thought for a moment.

A god who is one with the world. She doesn't know if that's true, but it was worth checking out.

As he was mulling over how special Lily was, Titiana came up to him and grabbed his shoulder.

"How can I bring the Crown Prince and the prime minister to me? Why are they so unfazed by me?"

“Do you really need them? I’m enough.”

“What are you talking about?”

Titian's beautiful face was distorted beyond recognition.

“I have to have them all. I want them all!”

She whined like a child begging for a toy.

"We need to get her into trouble. Retri Hayley. No, I don't think she'll be in trouble for anything."

An incredibly calm woman.

“You said she was a god, but does she really have some kind of strange power?”

Titiana shuddered as she thought that perhaps she had been indifferent to the threat of killing her because she possessed such great power.

Maybe it was Titiana who died.

'I can't die leaving this precious life behind. Yes, that woman didn't seem particularly interested in the Crown Prince or the prime minister.'

Titiana wandered around the study again, muttering like a madman.

'She didn't seem to mind when Dietrich and Yuno came to me, did she? Yeah, it's not like she's against male protagonists coming to me either.'

She cheered as if she had realized something important, then stopped walking and looked at Yuno.

"Should I bring them by force? You and Dietrich are enough."

"Lily doesn't like being forced. She stopped the chancellor when he tried to kill the knight commander."

"Aha..."

Titiana rested her chin on her hand and began to mutter to herself.

“Come to think of it, you said she never had a relationship with anyone and treated everyone fairly...”

How can she just leave these wonderful men alone?

Titiana thought the other person was crazy, but now she sees that that wasn't the reason.

"They say she's a god, but she's really neutral. I like her. If she's going to do this, just disappear so I can stand out."

Titiana was convinced.

That the words of the woman, called the author, or God, were sincere.

In short, if the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister came on their own two feet, there would be no stopping them. In that case, all that was needed was to lure them out.

“Yes, I’ve decided.”

She, who had made a judgment about the other person on her own, sat down in the chair where Yuno always sat.

"First, let's tell Dietrich to resign as Commander of the Knights. We'll summon him to the Tower and threaten the Crown Prince. If he doesn't come to me, I'll split the Empire in two!"

Titiana laughed heartily, not hiding her joy.

Yuno, who was standing a few steps away from Titiana, became curious about Retri and wanted to find out her secret.

There was one more thing he had to ask Retri. The book containing her biography had disappeared. Was it her doing?

“You know I love Yuno, right?”

“Yes, I know. I love you too, Titi.”

But when the woman in front of him whispered her love, his curiosity vanished into dust.

“Come here, Yuno.”

As Yuno stood in front of her, Titiana began to caress his belly.

“I am the only one who can accept your weirdness.”

Titiana rolled her eyes.

“Take it off.”

***

The senior who came to the Rose Palace delivered shocking news.

“Dietrich resigned from his post as Commander of the Knights?”

"Yes."

“Why on earth...”

Knock knock.

Just before I banged my head on the table, I heard a voice announcing that a guest had arrived.

“Master.”

“Shhh!”

I opened my arms to Shish as if I had met my savior. You know everything, right?

Shish bowed to my senior, and the senior greeted him with a nervous expression.

Come to think of it, it's strange that only Senior and Shish rarely met at the Rose Palace.

“I feel good that my master welcomes me.”

Unlike the senior sitting across from me, Shish, sitting next to me, smiled broadly and gently squeezed my hand. The senior's eyebrows furrowed.

“So, why is the atmosphere so serious?”

“I was talking about the commander submitting his resignation.”

“I heard that story too, but is there no room for compromise?”

Senior and Shish put aside their personal feelings and had a very serious discussion.

“While we can temporarily select someone to serve as a Knight Commander, the symbolism of the Sword Master cannot be replaced by anyone.”

“Even Father, no, His Majesty, is concerned about that.”

“He didn’t even reveal the purpose of his resignation to His Majesty?”

"Yes, he simply left a message saying he was quitting. And that too in writing."

This is very un-Dietrich-like behavior.

“Wait a minute, do you know where Dietrich went?”

“Master, are you sure His Excellency the Knight Commander didn’t go to Beluga?”

Shish smiled brightly and had a point.

“Has he been to the magic tower?”

“Correct answer.”

Also.

“Junior... How did you know, Lady Hayley?”

“It’s just a guess.”

I told the two people what happened during the day.

“That woman said she would make it so that the two of you would have no choice but to come to her.”

Senior and Shish chuckled at the same time. They were relieved to hear that such a thing would never happen.

“So, the Knight Commander’s resignation was also part of that woman’s plan?”

"That's right."

It wasn't hard to guess what kind of scheme a woman who disappeared after leaving behind a third-rate villain's line would come up with.

“If it’s the union of two people with the greatest power, it’s one thing.”

This made me think that Titiana was very similar to Dietrich and Yuno. After all, like Dietrich and Yuno, who remained constant, she was also one-dimensional.

In a way, you could say that Titiana's actions are the heroine herself, right?

It's perfect for a story about having a fun night with all the guys.

But one question arose.

Yuno doesn't know the ending of the story, so she probably doesn't know either. If she knew the ending, would she have acted the way she did?

“Is it what I think it is?”

The senior's silver eyebrows were raised high.

“Maybe?”

I also raised my eyebrows.

“Overthrow this country. Or at least split it in two.”

“By any chance, Lady Hayley really does have special powers?”

"If you were asking in the hopes that I could help you solve the problem, I'm afraid not. I'm just plain ordinary."

Titiana said that the easiest and fastest way to take my senior and Shish away was to kill me.

But when I saw it then and now, I think she really believed what I said, because she was just going to leave it alone.

Yes, for now, I'm not in Titiana's sights.

I wonder if I can be of much help, but wouldn't it be better to keep the losses hidden for now?

“For now, the position of Knight Commander must be left vacant.”

Unlike my anxious senior, Shish remained calm throughout.

“Realistically, it’s difficult for us to start anything without them doing anything, Your Highness.”

“No matter what they do, there’s no way we can deal with it. Is that right?”

“It depends on what you do.”

Shish never answered that there was absolutely nothing.

Yeah, I knew it.

There is nothing you can't do.

"If I fill the position immediately, His Excellency the Knight Commander might feel betrayed. I will handle his affairs, so for now, I will leave the position vacant."

“Is there anything I should do?”

"First, Your Highness, please send a message to the Knight Commander. Rather than criticizing him for his sudden resignation, it would be better to express surprise."

"All right."

The senior was very desperate.

Well, it's understandable that he would be worried since he seemed to consider this place his home.

“Instead of sending him straight to the tower, I think it would be better to send him to Beluga first.”

"Wouldn't the other party know anyway? That we're keeping an eye on their movements."

“No, even if the other person is certain, we have to pretend that we don’t know.”

Shish shook his head.

"Send word to Beluga to confirm that His Excellency the Knight Commander is not in the mansion and to inquire where he has gone. I will pretend to have no idea where he has gone."

“May I ask why you should go through all the trouble?”

Is it my imagination that Shish's thin lips seem to be smiling faintly?

“Wouldn’t that make His Excellency the Commander feel more guilty?”
