TMTNO - Chapter 80

Shish picked me up and carried me out of the hall.

“Where should we go? The First Princess’s Palace? The Rose Palace?”

“Milan, sir.”

As if surprised, Shish opens his eyes wide and looks at me.

“Rose Palace would be better.”

Fearing that he might shun me and go to the heroine, I grabbed Shish's collar tightly. Without saying a word, he helped me into the carriage, sitting down beside me.

“Why, master?”

“Milan, can't I go?”

A large hand easily took my hand. Fearing I might fall, I tried to hug Shish, but he intertwined his fingers with mine.

“It’s possible, but it could be dangerous.”

"Why?"

Are you trying to call the heroine?

“Oh, my lord.”

Shish yanked my arm back. I was pulled into his embrace, and the man, resting his chin on my crown, whispered.

“You really have no sense.”

No, I'm not. I pretend not to notice, but I'm very perceptive.

But since I was more clueless than Shish, I kept quiet.

“Let’s go to the Rose Palace.”

“Why? You’re leaving me behind to go to that woman?”

I asked, stepping away from Shish and looking into his eyes. Those red eyes still held an unreadable meaning.

“Would you like me to go?”

I shook my head.

“No. Don’t go, Shish.”

“You are greedy, Master.”

I liked Shish so much that I didn't mind hearing that, and I hugged his waist for fear that he might jump out of the carriage.

I heard the other person take a sharp breath. Soon, I felt hands wrapping around my back and waist.

“You have a bad personality, too.”

I couldn't agree with that, so I frowned and looked up.

“I don’t want to hear that from you.”

Even though I was blatantly showing that I couldn't understand, Shish was smiling brightly as if he was happy about something.

“You don’t like me going to that woman?”

"Yes."

“His Excellency, Commander of the Knights, what about the Magic Tower Lord? Are you going to bring them?”

“Those who have already left, go there and live.”

“You’re so cool.”

Contrary to the content, it was a humorous tone.

“Do you need me, Master?”

"Yes."

A lot.

I buried my face in her embrace, muttering to myself, the scent of my favorite scent wafting through my hair. A soft laugh settled over me.

“Then I won’t go.”

Then? And what?

“Would you have gone if I hadn’t said I needed you?”

When I raise my head again and speak in a questioning tone, Shish shakes his head.

“No way. I told you so.”

He smiles as if he's never treated me so politely, like Lady Hayley.

“I want to live happily with my master for a long time.”

Of course, it wouldn't go to someone else.

My heart, which had been beating anxiously, began to calm down little by little as I quietly added to the story.

My senior is someone who is out of the story.

Although he's returned to his position as Crown Prince, he now makes all decisions on his own. So don't worry.

But Shish, even though you're a person in a book, you say you won't leave my side.

By your own will alone.

When I told him what happened in the hall on the way to Milan, Shish made a face that said, 'Well, then that's right.'

“Shish, do you know anything about Lady Groval?”

“There are many stories that are much more provocative than the first Princess’s?”

So the investigation is over.

“What kinds of things are there?”

After thinking for a moment, Shish said a few things, and I just sighed deeply.

From what I've heard, it seems like everything is done by the heroine, Titiana, of her own free will.

As I sat there speechless, Shish stroked my cheek with the back of his hand.

“So, you’re saying that you did that today because you didn’t like her?”

"Yeah. I feel like she needs to be the center of attention in everything she does to feel better. But she stood out the most during this founding ceremony."

I almost told you it only looks that way to you, but I stopped myself. What matters now isn't nitpicking over every word Shish says.

The biggest problem is that the heroine, whom I vaguely assumed would be kind, has a personality that's drastically different from what I expected. It's a disaster that happened because I only focused on her looks.

Does Titiana know she's the heroine, or is that just her nature?

“What are you going to do from now on?”

“Huh? What?”

“One main character is enough.”

Shish, who was smiling brightly, looked very happy.

"Shouldn't those scumbags who try to disparage their masters be wiped from this world? While we're at it, let's send that damned Knight Commander along with them."

I think the real purpose is the latter.

"I'll take care of it. Master, just pretend you don't know and stay still."

I covered my ears to the devil's whispers.

Kill the heroine?

She did something wrong to me, but I don't hate her enough to cut off her head. And if Dietrich and Yuno get along well with her, I don't even want to stop her.

Because they are a sore thumb to me.

I, who had become adept at packaging myself but was so empty inside, wrote a novel.

May the main characters of the story be loved without any worries.

May the wounds that cannot be told to others be healed unconditionally.

The reason I have turned away from this world until now is that I could not bear to face myself.

Because Yuno's physical abnormality and Dietrich's abnormal desires resembled something I lacked as a human being.

“Master.”

So I can't be so cruel as to kill the heroine that Dietrich and Yuno like just because she spilled wine on me out of jealousy.

What should I do...

“Master, master?”

It was Shish's kiss that woke me from my deep thoughts, not even realizing that the carriage had stopped.

When I came to my senses, a soft sensation was already on my lips, and it was falling off.

“We arrived.”

"Ah."

Shish laughed as I shook my body as if I had woken up from a dream.

"Let's go."

He got out of the carriage and held out his hand to help me get out, and I placed my hand on it without hesitation.

Shish's expression was so joyful that it made one wonder if this man was the type to express his feelings so openly.

“It’s been a while, drying my master’s hair.”

He personally brought me my pajamas and made up the bed, and he even hummed a tune while drying my hair with a towel.

I half-closed my eyes, feeling the touch of a hand after a long time.

“That’s right.”

Come to think of it, it's only been about three months since I left the Milan mansion, but it feels like more than three years have passed.

Unlike yesterday, Shish lay down next to me, sniffing his nose into my arms.

“Master, since you went out, you’ve been acting so cute.”

Shish's fingers tickled my scalp, and it felt good, so I hugged him.

When I put my ear to his chest, I can hear his heart beating faster and faster.

Oh my goodness, Shish Milan's heart is beating. It's more believable that Dietrich's magic has vanished.

“Do you enjoy making things difficult for me? Yeah?”

Finally, Shish sighed lightly and put his arm under my armpit, then made me meet his gaze.

“Did I cause you trouble? When?”

Instead of answering, the other person narrowed their eyes. The sight was so beautiful that I touched the corners of his eyes, and the sharp tension in his eyes quickly relaxed.

“I think it would have been quite traumatic if my master had tried to hand me over to a woman like that.”

“Lady Groval?”

"Yes."

The handsome man pretended to be sad, his eyes drooping.

"I haven't exactly lived a spotless life myself, but that doesn't mean I think people like that are any good."

"Yes?"

“Yeah. You could call it a kind of self-hatred, I guess?”

I cupped Shish's cheeks. Even in the darkness, I felt reassured by the sight of his red eyes, which only I could see.

“That woman was annoying me for causing trouble for the master, but it’s not bad to have competition.”

"What?"

“My master loves me.”

Oh dear, I feel like I've been touching Shish too casually lately.

When I came to my senses, I was already touching it!

I didn't realize it because I was sitting still and thinking it was good.

I quickly pulled back my hand that was touching my small face, but the other person was smiling brightly.

“Just two months ago, I was desperate to reach you, but I was the only one who was desperate...”

My body flinched involuntarily at the increasingly cracking voice.

“Master, you hug me first, cup my cheek, and bring our noses together. Why don’t you kiss me first?”

“...”

“Ah! You did it before, didn’t you?”

Shish speaks in an exaggerated tone, pretending to remember it belatedly.

“Because you set that as a condition!”

You said you'd give me the book if I kissed you first.

“Did I do that?”

Shish acted as if nothing came to mind, and I intentionally sighed deeply.

A soft laugh and a hand hugging my waist.

I pretended to give in and fell into Shish's arms, filling my lungs with the sweet scent.

“I am so glad that you need me, Master.”

I couldn't respond to the subtle trembling in his voice.

“I wish my master would continue to want me.”

Even with those words filled with excitement and anticipation, I still couldn't respond. If I opened my mouth, my own voice would tremble.

Instead, I hugged him. I didn't have the confidence to show my face, so I buried it in his arms.

Obviously, my face would be red.
