Queen Of Villains - Chapter 75

The date of Killian's assassination was approaching.

The Rezetta Family members had been monitoring and photographing Killian's every move, and today was the day to report on it.

“Killian seems to drink coffee at the Lionel restaurant in Porto 3 every day from 4 to 6 p.m. and often has dinner there as well.”

“What time does he go to Delina House?”

"He's there from six o'clock, after he finishes eating, until one in the morning. Sometimes he comes out earlier, but it's usually around one in the morning."

Messina took out the document that Cezanne had sent.

There was nothing different from what was just reported.

"Yes, there's no need to modify the plan. I'll move into the rented house and live there for two days before the assassination. Be careful not to let anyone notice."

“Yes, Messina.”

After they left, Jed opened the door and came in.

“The Crown Prince is here too. Should I ask him to come into this room?”

“Oh, is it already time for the Crown Prince to arrive?”

Messina turned around and checked the clock on the wall.

“He's a little early.”

“Then should I tell him to wait?”

“No, tell him to come in. You can sit down too.”

"All right."

Shortly after Jed left, he returned to the room with the Crown Prince.

“The Crown Prince has arrived.”

Messina welcomed the Crown Prince, who became a VIP client with just one request.

“Is work going well?”

“Of course! Almost everything is ready.”

“That’s fortunate.”

Lucius finally felt at ease.

Now, the hope was rising that the day would come when he would truly possess Emily.

Of course, there might be strong opposition from the Emperor and Empress at the beginning with Emily, but he was confident that he could overcome that level of obstacle.

“This is Claude’s fake death certificate and autopsy results.”

Lucius threw a pile of papers on the table.

It was something Lucius had fabricated through the palace doctor to make it seem like Killian had poisoned Claude.

Messina looked at the Crown Prince with a look of surprise, as he had prepared such a thing so thoroughly.

“You said that Cezanne’s testimony alone might not be enough.”

Lucius sat down on the sofa, coughing for no reason.

“Yes, this will definitely protect our organization from the committee.”

“So when is D-Day?”

“For security reasons, I can’t give you an exact date, but I’ll have good news for you within the next week.”

At those words, Lucius crossed his arms as if he was offended.

“Even though I am the client, why can’t you share the date?”

“Please calm down, I am trying to do a better job.”

When she said that, Lucius found it difficult to spit out any more.

“Then let’s wait for news.”

“Yes, take a look!”

As Lucius left, Messina sighed and sat down at the table.

“Why are you sighing all of a sudden, Messina?”

Jed, who was in the same room, looked at Messina with concern.

“No, I’m a little upset because I heard some useless information yesterday.”

“What are you talking about?”

Messina, who had been looking around, paused for a moment before opening his mouth.

“Do you know why the Crown Prince wants to kill Killian?”

"We don't really care about the reasons for the assassination."

Messina was dumbfounded by Jed's simple answer.

“No, in times like this, shouldn’t you ask why?”

“...What is the reason?”

Messina, already exhausted, opened her mouth, glancing at Jed without any ill will.

“It’s because of Emily. That flowery lady of Starr.”

Jed couldn't understand Messina's words at once and asked back.

“Did that lady commit some mistake against the royal family?”

“You really have no sense.”

'So, let me propose first.'

Messina explained, clicking his tongue.

“The Crown Prince is trying to kill Killian to get Emily.”

“Aha, I see.”

She has been asked to commit murder because of the Crown Prince's passion, and he is not disappointed about that.

Still, a scandal of this scale would have dominated news headlines for months.

“Just wait and see. If we get this job done right, those Giulianos who got us involved in this crap, we won’t let it go.”

“I am already trying to uncover the identity of Giuliano Boss as instructed by Messina.”

Messina nodded at Jed's words.

"Find out as quickly and accurately as possible. Then we can think about how to strike Giuliano."

Messina gritted her teeth as she thought of the vulgar Giuliano family, who always resorted to tricks behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, Emily, unaware of anything, was peacefully drinking tea with Marlene in the mansion.

“You didn’t even show up at the party, but you’re having a social gathering with the parents. It’s really unbelievable.”

Marlene glanced at Emily and chewed on her macaron.

“I find you more amazing, Marlene?”

“What about me?”

“You’re still engaged to the Crown Prince.”

“Do you know who likes to keep it?”

Marlene frowned at Emily, as if she were very disappointed.

“I keep it to keep an eye on him so I don’t know what that crazy stalker might do to you.”

"...What?"

“I am the only one who should put you, my only rival, in danger.”

“I don’t know whether I should be moved or not.”

Emily shook her head and took a sip of tea.

“So, have you found out anything recently?”

"Yes?"

At those words, Marlene thought back on the past week.

“There’s something a little strange...”

“What is it?”

“He’s strangely quiet, but I feel uneasy because I don’t think he’s given up on you.”

At those words, Emily lowered the corners of her mouth and said, “Ugh.”

“That’s really disturbing.”

“Every time we have mandatory tea time, it’s strangely annoying how much more relaxed he seems than before.”

“You just don’t like the Crown Prince, do you? If you don’t like him, you can even say you don’t like the way he eats.”

“It’s not just that feeling.”

This time, Marlene looked at Emily and shook her head.

"What would I talk to you about? You're not as intuitive as I am."

“You’re doing great, really.”

“Ah! That’s right!”

“It’s a surprise.”

Marlene suddenly clapped her hands as an important memory came to mind.

“He said something really good would happen next week.”

“The Crown Prince?”

"Yes!"

"But he never told me why. He just said he finally got what he wanted."

At those words, Emily's expression became serious.

“They say something good will happen to the Crown Prince next week...”

Emily looked at Marlene meaningfully, and she nodded.

“Aren’t you saying that something bad could happen to you or your husband?”

It's hard to say for sure, but given Lucius's recent actions, it was hard to ignore Marlene's words.

"Tell your husband to be careful. No matter how much I think about it, it seems like the Crown Prince only cares about you."

Emily's heart pounded with an inexplicable sense of unease. It hadn't been long since she'd experienced something bad, and she felt like she wouldn't be able to handle it if something bad happened again.

Even after Marlene left, Emily continued to pace around the room for a long time.

“Madam, is there anything bothering you?”

Cezanne, who had just come into the room to hang new curtains, asked.

"That is..."

Emily was worried that she might bring up something useless and cause confusion within the organization when there was no concrete evidence yet.

When Emily couldn't open her mouth easily, Cezanne sat her down in a chair.

“If you have any worries, please tell me.”

Emily, encouraged by Cezanne's warm gaze, slowly opened her mouth.

“Actually, Marlene came today and said something that bothered her about the Crown Prince.”

Cezanne's eyes sharpened at the mention of the word "Crown Prince" after a long time.

“What is that?”

“She says the Crown Prince said something meaningful about something good happening next week.”

“Is that so?”

"Yeah. It might not be much, but it makes me uneasy because it sounds like it's hinting that something dangerous is about to happen."

Cezanne's expression also darkened after hearing Emily's words.

“Am I being overly sensitive?”

“No. It’s always better to be careful.”

“Then should I tell him too?”

“I’ll tell Killian. He’s coming in early this morning.”

Emily's expression showed that her worries had been relieved by Cezanne's words.

“Thank you. I wish I had been worrying for nothing.”

“Don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

“I’m so glad I have Cezanne by my side.”

Emily said that and got into bed.

'That's fortunate. I have to tell Messina quickly.'

Cezanne's mind became busy.

The very next day, after hearing Cezanne's story, Messina immediately summoned his team.

“We have to postpone the operation.”

“Yes? Did the information leak out?”

“It’s not completely out yet, but if Killian is perceptive, he’ll probably anticipate someone posing a threat to him next week.”

“Who the hell stole the information?”

“Who could it be? The stupid Crown Prince.”

Messina ran her hand through her long hair as if she had a headache.

“I told Lucius to come up with something else to be really happy about next week.”

Then, Killian and Emily, who heard the news through Lady Huppert, would be relieved that their mistake had been corrected, and they planned to immediately carry out the assassination operation while their guard was down.

“How about just getting it done this week?”

"Don't you know that rushing can make a mess of things? Besides, the person you're dealing with is Killian."

The organization members nodded, convinced by Messina's explanation.

“By the way, if the Crown Prince finds out that information was leaked to Madame Starr through the Marquis’s daughter, he won’t leave her alone either.”

"Why are you worrying about that? For now, worry about our future. Be more alert and focused than ever before."

"All right!"

Messina, who had never felt nervous while conducting an assassination operation, calmed her mind by cleaning her gun once more.

Now the day to kill Killian is really approaching.
