TMTNO - Chapter 59

“You have the wrong person.”

I left the place in a huff.

I tried to run away from the bushes, leaving Dietrich standing there blankly, but I was caught.

"Author."

Two large, strong hands grabbed my shoulders.

“I told you you had the wrong person?”

I tried to shake off Dietrich's hand, but it was as sticky as glue and wouldn't come off.

I couldn't even decide what to do or how to do it.

In this situation, just being with my senior is enough!

“How could I be wrong about you?”

The low voice cracked.

“This is how my body reacts.”

I witnessed it.

Dietrich's front pants, swelling steadily.

“Don’t rub it.”

I warned him sternly, but he wasn't the type to listen.

I shouted as Dietrich, still not in his right mind, unbuckled his jacket.

“Everyone! Come here, Commander of the Knights!”

Dietrich covered my mouth with his big, thick hand.

You little punk, what if you block my nose too!

Even though I was hitting him hard, Dietrich dragged me into the bushes and only let me go when I collapsed, with difficulty breathing.

“Go to the Rose Palace.”

“Beluga will go there.”

“If you don’t go to the Rose Palace, you’ll be cursed for life!”

Dietrich, who had been laughing at my words, groaned after a while.

“Ugh.”

See, why didn't you just listen to me from the beginning?

***

An unexpected three-way, or rather, lion-on-lion confrontation occurred at the Rose Palace.

The senior who was called in in a hurry was smiling at me, but his face wasn't smiling.

Yeah, I'm sorry.

But I had to find a hole to hide in because it seemed like my senior was trying to lock me up.

I'm afraid that Shish might not be able to help me, and that it wouldn't be good if I were to be captured by Shish.

I just went out to check if there was a hole in the palace wall...

Four people, including me, were in a strange standoff around a round table.

First, I sat down at the table. Shish sat facing me. Dietrich was near me, and my senior stood between Shish and me, arms linked.

Everyone's eyes were on me.

“Hoho, hohoho.”

Let's laugh, we have to laugh.

“So, what do you want to talk about?”

The first to speak was the senior. When the silence was broken, Shish and Dietrich simultaneously spoke, but before they could, a knock echoed through the room.

“Come in.”

"Your Highness."

The caretaker of the Rose Palace approached and bowed.

“There is someone who requests to see Your Highness.”

“It’s not a good time to meet now.”

“But the magic tower-”

“-What is the magic tower-?”

The senior's silver-gray eyebrows twitched. His gaze turned to me, and I averted my gaze.

“Bring it.”

The senior gave the order with a sigh, and soon another person I knew well arrived at the Rose Palace.

“Me! Why are you leaving me out!”

A cute man with tears in his eyes entered the room.

“Lily!”

He came running towards me.

He ran towards me with his arms outstretched, as if he was trying to hug me, and Dietrich suddenly stood in front of me.

“Magic Tower Master? How did you know?”

Although his face was not visible, his voice conveyed a blatant warning.

“Because a special device was installed in the palace?”

Yuno was wearing a flowing robe, the kind worn only outside the tower. When he made a questioning gesture, his long sleeves fluttered.

The senior seemed to be both displeased and uneasy at the confession of the Tower Master.

“The palace security is... really lax.”

“We will take immediate action.”

Shish's face hardened as he answered. Dietrich wasn't much different.

“Did you install a wiretapping device inside the palace?”

But I couldn't believe what Yuno said.

The Emperor is played by the prime minister's tricks - he may not even know he is being played - and although the Crown Prince's real power is weak, the imperial palace itself is powerful.

No magical devices are allowed inside the palace. Surprisingly, the lights and other fixtures are all modern.

The reason Shish was able to take control of the palace was that the only sources of information in the palace were humans, as no magical devices could be installed.

Because the one who is most skilled at handling people is the dark minister.

Although the story was going in a strange direction, the basic setup was maintained, so I couldn't help but ask.

“Yuno, what kind of device did you set up inside the palace?”

“If I tell you, everyone will find the device and destroy it, so I’ll keep it a secret.”

“If you’re not going to talk, then go.”

As I motioned for him to go, Dietrich prepared to draw his sword. He seemed excited, thinking he could drive out Yuno.

“To be exact, I buried a magic stone containing my power on the outskirts of the palace.”

“Why on the outskirts? There’s an inside too.”

“The palace is protected by a powerful barrier, so no one, no matter how far away, can see inside.”

I pretended not to know, and he told me the story obediently.

See, I knew it.

I craned my neck while sitting and looked at Yuno from behind Dietrich. Dietrich's back was so wide that it wasn't easy, but I succeeded.

Yuno's eyes began to sparkle as he looked at me.

“So, I buried my magic stone as close to the palace as possible, and used it as a stepping stone to observe the inside.”

“Are you spying?”

Dietrich spat it out as if chewing, but Yuno remained calm.

“That way, I can eavesdrop on even a little bit of movement inside the palace.”

“You’re saying you’re going to use the magic stone to amplify your power and look inside the palace?”

"That's right."

Yuno jumped up and down in excitement.

“As expected, Lily is smart! My god!”

Don't say things like that...

I straightened my posture and hid behind Dietrich, but then my senior came into view. He was looking at Yuno with a blank expression.

“It’s been like that ever since the day Lily disappeared.”

Yuno's excited voice suddenly calmed down.

“I wasn’t curious about the palace before, but this time, the prime minister might take the lead.”

“So, you’re saying there’s a magic stone buried near my house?”

Shish spoke in a gentle tone, and Yuno did not deny it.

A murderous air filled the room, almost fortunately for Dietrich's presence behind him. But Yuno, seemingly oblivious, muttered something else.

“I was lucky today.”

"What?"

“Normally, the voices inside the palace wouldn’t be audible, but the horny man got excited and unleashed his magical energy, causing chaos in the palace barrier.”

Dietrich, who had been standing motionless, flinched. What had touched him?

A horny man? The palace barrier was ruined because of you?

“Thanks to that, I was able to hear sounds coming from deep within the palace. Lily’s voice was also mixed in.”

I can tell what kind of expression Yuno is making just by hearing his voice.

“Yes, Lily. Let’s go to the magic tower.”

Wait, all of a sudden?

"Was it nice of you to leave us behind? This time, we'll have to tie you up tight so you can't go anywhere."

“What are you talking about? Didn’t something like this happen while I was on the Magic Tower?”

"To be precise, it must have been caused by some idiot who couldn't control his desires. The explosion of the magic tower occurred while we were developing a drug to alleviate that idiot's symptoms."

“What the hell is that?”

Dietrich took a step toward Shish. A menacing aura seemed to emanate from his large body.

“By the way, Commander of the Knights, are you taking your medicine?”

But it died down in an instant at Yuno's one question.

“I said it would be effective if you took it consistently.”

Yuno fumed, running her hands through hia golden hair.

“Then it’s decided.”

Shish stood up with a leisurely smile.

"Your Highness, you damned knight commander, who threatens the master, is disqualified. The magic tower exploded, so that won't work."

A vein appeared on Dietrich's forehead, Yuno's expression became blank, but Shish's face remained smiling.

“I guess she should go to Milan.”

No one protested.

“Yes, but you have to allow free entry and exit.”

"Great."

Shish readily accepted Yuno's request.

“Then this time, should I tie you up with magic so you can’t escape?”

“The magic can be broken, so don’t tie it up with chains.”

So I'm telling you, I didn't run away?

“I like the Adamant Chain.”

“If it’s Adamant, I can trust it. It’s a mineral that doesn’t respond well to magic.”

Clap, clap.

A clap of applause interrupted Dietrich and Yuno's serious discussion about how to tie me up.

“Are you going to leave this person like this?”

The senior, who had uncrossed his arms, came towards the table.

“While remaining a commoner, to make others see her as a government official or courtier.”

The faces of the three people, except for the senior, froze.

This was something I was worried about, too.

It didn't really matter, since I'd be leaving again someday, but I hated being called the Crown Prince's mistress and being the center of attention. The more eyes there were, the harder it would be to escape.

“If things continue like this, this person will not be able to appear in public with confidence.”

Just a moment, senior.

I don't necessarily have to stand out to others, right?

Beep beep beep beep beep!

The ominous feeling of foreboding sounds like a red alert, as if it were not just a feeling.

“Just reveal it. Lily is a god!”

Yuno stared at me with a look of rapture, and I quickly hid behind Dietrich.

Fortunately, no one agreed with Yuno's words.

“Are you trying to make her a noble, Your Highness?”

A beat later, Shish asked in a slow tone.

“Yes.”

A smile appeared on the senior's lips.

“If the people here could help.”

Beep beep beep beep!

The alarm sounds louder and louder.

“Didn’t Marquis Hayley lose his daughter a year ago?”

“If it’s Marquis Hayley, I agree.”

Shish lightly raised his hand and expressed his opinion.

“That person has a strong personality and is honest, so I.”

Why didn't Dietrich spit on Shish's words?

“If I can capture Lily even more efficiently, then I can’t help it.”

As even Yuno agreed, the four men's gaze turned to me.

They were saying, 'You can't run away from here.'
