Queen of Villains - Chapter 26

Ever since their visit to the Duke of Sadie's estate, the two of them had been strangely awkward. That was the conclusion reached by the butler Alvin, the maids Cezanne, Roxy, Chili, and Ivan.

“I guess something happened.”

“What should we do?”

The three maids surrounded Alvin and pressured him to come up with a plan.

“But Ivan, why are you here?”

Alvin looked at Ivan with an uncomfortable expression.

“You haven’t forgotten that I’m the unofficial number one contributor to bringing you two closer, have you?”

Ivan spoke with considerable pride, sticking his belly out. It was true, though it was infuriating to Alvin.

"However?"

“As a first-class contributor, I cannot just sit by and watch this situation unfold.”

“What the heck?”

Ivan slammed his slam on the desk and shouted.

“You have to come up with a solution!”

“Yes, is that all you have to say?”

Ivan nodded confidently.

"Get out."

Alvin, who was already having a hard time going back and forth between headquarters and the mansion, had no choice but to ask Giovanni for help.

“So you want me to poke Killian’s waist?”

“Yes, I think it would be good for you two to do something together.”

Giovanni also thought hard about Alvin's words.

“Oh yeah, that’s it!”

Giovanni's face brightened as if a good idea had just occurred to him.

“What comes to mind?”

"How about horseback riding? The boss is teaching Madam."

“Oh, this would be perfect for skinship.”

Alvin, who had been clapping along, saying it was a good idea, suddenly looked pensive.

“Why is your face suddenly so pale?”

“So... how do you get the two of you to ride together?”

Giovanni's forehead furrowed deeply, as if his words made a lot of sense.

“I hadn’t thought of that.”

“Then how...”

“I’ll let you think about that, Alvin.”

"Yes?"

“As you know, I’m busy with this and that.”

Giovanni patted Alvin's shoulder encouragingly and left. Truly, they were all equally unhelpful.

Alvin had no choice but to stay up all night and think about it. And finally, on the third day, he found a solution.

"Madam."

Alvin spoke to Emily cautiously.

“What’s going on?”

“You haven’t had a health checkup since you got married, so I would like you to get one.”

Although the sudden mention of a health checkup was a bit disconcerting, Emily readily accepted it because there was nothing wrong with getting it.

“It’s not that inconvenient, but let’s do it.”

“Yes, I will prepare it right away.”

Things progressed rapidly. The Starr family had a dedicated doctor who examined their members, and his skills were outstanding.

A young man with such a sharp face that you wouldn't know he was a doctor came in.

“My name is Payne. Please call me Dr. Payne for short.”

“Just four words, but I get it.”

“Then I will examine you.”

The doctor examined Emily's pupils, mouth, breathing, pulse, etc., with the examination tools he had brought.

“Is everything okay, ma’am?”

At Alvin's question, Dr. Payne's face became serious. Even Emily grew anxious.

“Why is that? Is something wrong with my body?”

Hmm, the doctor asked, stroking his chin.

“Madam, how much exercise do you usually do?”

“I'm doing it consistently like everyone else.”

“Is that so? That’s strange. Do you have any constipation?”

At those words, Emily's face turned bright red.

“How did you do that...”

“What kind of exercise do you do?”

“Me... I just run.”

“Then how about trying horseback riding?”

“Huh? Are you talking about horseback riding all of a sudden?”

The doctor nodded seriously.

“The best way to relieve your constipation right now is horseback riding.”

Alvin intervened at that moment, making a fuss.

“Madam! Isn’t the master of the house an outstanding horseman?”

“Oh, is that so? Then you can learn from the Marquis!”

The two men, who were perfectly matched, pushed Emily's back. But Emily refused to learn horseback riding from Killian, even if it meant dying.

“He’s too busy, so let’s find another teacher.”

She couldn't tell Killian that she was constipated, even though she was crazy.

Alvin scratched his forehead in distress at Emily's firm rejection.

'I guess it won't work.'

Alvin had no choice but to attack Killian first.

“Alvin, what’s going on here?”

Alvin, who ran to headquarters to meet Killian, felt upset as soon as he saw Knox.

“I came to see Killian.”

“Why? Did something happen to Madam?”

There was no time to chat with Knox, who would say ten words if he said one.

“You don’t know that. Where is the boss?”

Knox, upset with Alvin for ignoring him, deliberately picks a fight with him.

“If you dodge my punch, I’ll tell you.”

“No, I said I don’t have time!”

As Knox's fist flew in without warning, Alvin caught it and twisted it.

“Ugh! Wait a minute!”

Ignoring Knox's screams, he kicked him in the stomach this time. He lay face down on the floor, pinned beneath Giovanni's feet, struggling and screaming.

“Yes, so put this away!”

In fact, Alvin was one of the caporegimes who led a crew in the Starr family, and the crew he led was the most powerful within the family.

“That’s why I said not to rush in recklessly.”

He was exhausted from having been out for so long, so he turned his wrist and hurried to where Killian might be.

Fortunately, finding Killian wasn't too difficult.

“Lord Killian.”

Killian's expression hardened as he saw Alvin rushing to headquarters. The only reason he had to be here so urgently at this hour was to do something related to Emily.

“What’s going on?”

“Dr. Payne came and went today...”

Alvin paused for a moment as he spoke.

Killian wasn't the only one in the room. Members of the organization, dressed in black, sat around a table. Alvin hesitated, wondering if he could tell them that his wife was constipated.

'I guess it won't work for the sake of your reputation, madam.'

As Alvin's worries continued, Killian's patience reached its limit.

“Alvin.”

“Ah! Yes, yes... There’s a problem with one of her organs...”

As Alvin finished speaking, the members of the organization began to murmur.

'Madam's organs?'

'Isn't this serious?'

'They say noble ladies are so weak.'

Killian grabbed his coat and headed out the door with a menacing air.

“Prepare the carriage right now.”

Alvin was crying as if something had gotten out of hand.

“This, this isn’t it..."

But Killian was already running away.

Meanwhile, Emily was eating yogurt, which was said to be good for constipation.

Although she didn't think her constipation was that serious, Dr. Payne's face was serious as he diagnosed her.

They said that if you leave it like this, the poison will spread to your face.

'I'm so scared. I really need to learn how to ride a horse.'

As Emily made that decision and took her last bite, Killian knocked and opened the door, coming in.

Emily looked up at him with a surprised face.

“What brings you here at this hour?”

“I heard that Dr. Payne came and went.”

“Ah, yes...”

Emily glared at Alvin, who was standing flustered behind Killian.

'I told you not to tell Killian!'

“What do you mean there’s a problem with the organs?”

Why the sudden problem with my organs? Emily didn't immediately understand what Killian was talking about, but then she realized he was referring to her constipation.

'I guess Alvin hasn't explained it in detail yet.'

“It’s nothing.”

“Please tell me.”

“Knowing any more than this will hurt you.”

“Knowing it will hurt you? What on earth does that mean?”

“It means I don’t want to talk.”

Killian's head was spinning at Emily's stubbornness, which he was experiencing for the first time.

“Then I will call Dr. Payne.”

"Yes?"

Killian called out to Alvin, who was standing at the door.

“Bring Payne right now.”

“Ha, but Killian...”

Alvin was caught between the two, unable to do anything.

“Why don’t you call him right now!”

“Just a moment.”

Emily sighed and stopped him. She really didn't want to call the doctor and have to hear a second diagnosis about her constipation.

“You can just tell me.”

Emily's eyes trembled.

“Please tell me quickly.”

“That’s me... I actually...”

Emily, who had been keeping her mouth shut under the unspoken pressure to answer, finally opened her mouth with a tearful face.

“I’m constipated...”

In other words, Killian had abandoned an important meeting and rushed over because of his wife's constipation. He quietly turned around and looked at Alvin.

Alvin swallowed hard and said.

“Well, that’s why I was going to ask you if My Lord could teach Madam horseback riding.”

"Riding?"

Alvin's mouth opened again at Killian's gaze, as if asking for more explanation.

“Madam, that’s the best exercise for constipation.”

‘I swear to God I was just trying to help...’

Alvin gritted his teeth and forced himself to turn his head away from Emily, who was giving him a murderous look. After hearing the explanation, Killian walked over to the chair opposite Emily and sat down.

“...Then, for now, I’ll finish work and come back by 4 PM tomorrow.”

To cure her constipation, she learned horseback riding from Killian. And in a way, she's rather not share.

Emily wanted to cry.
