Queen of Villains - Chapter 19

As soon as Killian received the casino flyer at the entrance to the Galerie Molineux, he headed down to the basement.

“Welcome, Killian.”

The manager in charge of the casino recognized him and bowed to him.

“Is Emily Starr on the admission list?”

As the Gallery Molineux is located in the 3rd district of Portua, it was a place that the Starr family supported.

Normally, they wouldn't have shown the list of attendees so carelessly, but Killian was different. The manager immediately went down to find the name "Emily Starr."

“I’m sorry, but there is no one named Emily Starr.”

'I guess I misunderstood.'

Killian was relieved and turned to leave, but the manager's mouth opened again.

“But there is a name called Emily Sinope...”

"What?"

When Killian frowned, the manager shrugged his shoulders as if he had done something wrong.

“Which table is she sitting at now?”

He didn't know how everyone knew where the guests were sitting and playing, but he remembered Emily because she was so striking.

The manager pointed to a table on the left side, his hands trembling.

“Just a moment ago, she was playing a game with the group sitting over there.”

Killian headed in the direction the casino manager pointed without hesitation.

The manager watched Killian's back with anxious eyes, his aura seeming to be angry.

At that table sat a grumpy-looking guy and a dirty-looking Marlene.

“Somehow, it turns out there are only two of us left.”

“Damn it, if it weren’t for Roger Goldwyn, I would have left this place a long time ago.”

Marlene, feeling a bit queasy, poured the liquor straight into her mouth. She was much stronger than Emily had expected.

“Miss Wiper.”

Marlene turned around at the sound of someone calling her and got up from her seat in surprise.

“How is Marquis Starr doing here...?”

The man sitting across from him also stood up in surprise at the mention of the Marquis Starr. He was well aware of his notoriety.

“Where is my wife now?”

“She said he was going to the bathroom... but now that I think about it, it’s been a while since she went and she hasn’t come back.”

Killian was usually a man with a keen intuition. Something about Marlene's words made him feel ominous.

Meanwhile, the face of the man who was listening to the conversation between the two turned pale.

“Oh, so by any chance, is the woman you played the game with earlier Madam Starr?”

Marlene gave him a warning with a cold face.

“If you talk nonsense anywhere, you will die.”

But the stunned man seemed to hear nothing.

“This is a big deal! I have to tell Raminis quickly...”

“Wait a minute. Raminis?”

As Killian's momentum suddenly became more brutal, Marlene also seemed to sense something was wrong.

“Who is Raminis? Is he dangerous?”

Sorry, but Killian didn't have the luxury of explaining to Marlene what kind of person he was.

“Tell me now. Where did that bastard Raminis take my wife?”

The man swallowed hard and said.

“Yes, yes. As soon as Madam went to the bathroom, he followed her out.”

“He said he was going to run errands too! He followed Emily?”

Marlene sat down on the chair, her hands pressed against her forehead.

Raminis, the headache of the Giuliano family. He couldn't spend even a second with that dangerous object.

At Killian's urgent glance, the casino manager came running.

"There will be Starr members outside. Tell them to quietly look for Madame Starr inside."

"All right."

“Don’t let this story get out.”

As he spoke, Killian turned to the man at the table with him. The man, sensing the meaning of his gaze, immediately offered his hand.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone! If my mouth starts to itch, I'll sew it shut."

Killian looked at him as he lay flat on his stomach, as if he felt sorry for him, and immediately began searching the casino to find Emily.

Fortunately, it didn't take long to find Emily, as someone who had heard the suspicious screams appeared.

“I was just about to go call someone when I heard a scream.”

“Where is that?”

“It’s at the end of the hallway, towards the emergency stairs.”

Killian, who followed the direction the maid had told him, soon witnessed a scene that made his eyes roll back.

It was a scene where that bastard Raminis dared to roughly drag Emily's arm, which he had never touched, because he felt sorry for her.

“You’d better let go of that hand right now.”

The atmosphere changed in an instant when Killian appeared. Raminis, too, seemed to recognize Killian and stepped back hesitantly.

“Killian?”

Emily burst into tears of relief as soon as she saw his face.

'Oh, no. This is not the time to cry.'

Emily quickly wiped away her runny nose and tears, pushed away the frozen Raminis, and ran to Roger.

“Wake up.”

And he raised Roger's body and leaned it against the wall.

Relieved by Emily's well-placed position, Killian immediately approached Raminis and twisted his wrist with all his might. Without even a proper fight, he screamed and dropped the knife he was holding.

“You crawled in here with great courage, Raminis.”

To elaborate on Raminis, he was the middle boss of the Giuliano family.

However, he was not interested in the organization's work and acted on his own, which was not befitting of his position.

There were rumors going around that Raminis was neglected and ignored even within the Giuliano family, which meant that his position was not very solid.

However, the only reason Raminis was able to maintain his position as the mid-boss was because he was the boss's nephew.

“Don’t you know that even if you’re a mafia, you shouldn’t touch children and women?”

Raminis laughed at Killian's words, his face contorted in pain.

“Why should I follow a rule I didn’t make?”

Killian gripped Raminis's still-arrogant neck tightly with one hand. The immense force made his face turn red, almost bursting.

“Eww!”

Raminis gasped and struggled to breathe, but Killian didn't let go. No matter how hard he tried to pull away with both hands, he was no match.

“Oh, I get it! I was wrong, so stop!”

Although this was Killian's territory, he couldn't just kill the mid-boss of the Giuliano family.

When killing an executive member of an organization, he had to have either killed another member of the organization or committed adultery with the wife of another member of the organization.

Without concrete evidence that Raminnis had attempted to harass Emily, the Starr family would be at a disadvantage, and if the committee turned its back, the organization's well-being would be in jeopardy.

It was obvious how petty the Giuliano family would get away with it.

A worried Roger tried to dissuade Killian.

“And then he died! I think it’s best to stop now.”

Emily was also looking at Killian with worried eyes, next to him.

Killian reluctantly relaxed his grip, but his anger was hard to control. He opened the handle of his staff, and a sawed-off shotgun emerged.

“Why, why are you bringing that up...?”

Killian opened his mouth, aiming his gun at Raminis' chin, who was pushed to the edge of the wall.

“If you appear in front of me one more time, I will smash your head in.”

Raminis nodded with terrified eyes.

“Get out of here before I kill you.”

As soon as Killian released him, Raminis ran out through the emergency exit without looking back.

“Killian, I am ashamed.”

Roger forced himself to move and knelt before him. In fact, Roger Goldwyn was also a regular member of the Starr Family.

While running a club in the family, he often needed a celebrity, so he made his debut and became a bigger success as an actor than expected.

Although he had the support of the Starr family, Roger himself had a talent for acting and adapted well to that world.

“Investigate how Raminis came in with the knife and summon the owner of Gallery Molineux.”

"All right."

Emily slowly rose from the floor. Killian, keeping his eyes on her, picked up her handbag, which had been strewn across the floor, and handed it to her.

“Are you hurt anywhere?”

"Yes."

Her wrist was throbbing slightly, but she thought it would be better not to say anything.

Then, shortly after, Giovanni and Ivan came running.

“Take him and treat him.”

They seemed to be used to seeing situations like this, so they didn't panic when they saw Roger injured and calmly carried out the order.

Emily's face broke into tears as she watched Roger leave, supported by them.

“I’m sorry this happened because of me.”

“It’s the kid’s fault, not yours.”

“Still...”

Seeing Emily so exhausted, Killian felt a pang of discomfort. No matter how much he thought about it, he regretted sending Raminis away like that.

“...If I see a guy treat you like this one more time, I might kill him.”

Emily also looked up at him with a determined expression and said.

“Yes, I will shoot properly from next time.”

Killian's eyes shook at Emily's unexpected answer.
