IYDGMYD - Chapter 112

“Whose is it?”

Luca didn't answer and handed the pouch back to Lamia.

Then he got up from his seat without even touching the soup and bread that had just been served.

“I guess I should go now.”

Lamia grabbed his shoulder.

“Where are you going all of a sudden?”

“If you don’t want to get involved in complicated matters, it’s better not to bother with it.”

But before Luca could go up to his room and pack his luggage, the knights of Callius, who had already surrounded the inn, appeared.

The armed knights passed by Granada and Lamia, pretending not to see them, and spoke to Luca politely but firmly.

“Do you have a pass issued by the castle?”

Luca frowned.

“I haven’t heard anything like that. And I’m going to take care of business today and leave soon.”

He gave Lamia a look that begged for her help.

He seemed to think that Lamia, who seemed to have established herself in Ronheim, might be able to help him. She didn't look like a stranger here.

But instead of saving Luca, Lamia, who was on the same side as the knights, whispered the same words she had said.

"If you don't want to get caught up in complicated matters, I guess you should come with us. Ronheim's been having some trouble lately because of an outsider."

Luca looked back at the knights who had gathered so early in the morning because of an unidentified outsider and touched his forehead.

Even though he didn't know the details, he could tell that the atmosphere was not good.

“I’ve been feeling a strange sense of anticipation since I arrived yesterday. I guess something fishy is going on.”

At that time, Chloe was still in bed.

Even Callius, who always wakes up early in the morning, was lying in bed today, breaking his usual wake-up time, staring blankly at Chloe, who was sleeping.

“Whenever I was lonely and having a hard time, Karl would magically appear.”

What Chloe said last night really touched his heart.

Callius watched Chloe sleep like an angel, breathing softly and softly, and promised himself that from now on, whenever she was lonely and having a hard time, his true self, not an illusion, would be by her side.

He slowly leaned in and kissed Chloe's round forehead.

Then, Chloe, who had been tossing and turning slightly, opened her eyes slightly.

“Did you sleep well?”

Callius whispered softly.

The blue eyes that had been blurry under the eyelids that seemed to close again belatedly found focus.

“Oh, Callius.”

Chloe stretched out her arms and smiled faintly at Callius.

He had a half-asleep expression, as if he still couldn't tell the difference between dreams and reality.

Looking at that, Callius let out a low laugh.

Chloe laughed along, not knowing why he was laughing, and snuggled a little deeper into the blanket.

“I had a dream...”

Chloe's voice as she spoke still sounded like she was in a dream.

“What dream?”

“You were smiling brightly after finding the Holy Grail... You seemed so happy. Hmm... Everyone was laughing.”

“You had a sweet dream for me.”

Chloe rubbed her eyes, trying to wake up.

"I don't even know what the actual Holy Grail looks like, yet it appeared in my dream. It was adorned with rubies and blue diamonds. Oh, did I bring that?"

“...?”

Callius's head tilted slightly as she muttered.

“Are you saying that you dreamed of a Holy Grail decorated with rubies and blue diamonds?”

He sat up with a start.

Chloe's description of the Holy Grail, despite having never seen it before, was so fitting.

“Please tell me more. It could be a precognitive dream.”

Chloe waved her hand and smiled lazily at Callius, who thought that might really be the case.

"I'm not a priest like Lhasa. I guess the dream just showed something I brought. There was something I used as a vase a while ago. And it looks like something used in rituals..."

"If."

Callius drew a picture of the Holy Grail with a pen and paper on the table and showed it to Chloe.

“Is it like this?”

Chloe, who had finally gotten up, opened her eyes wide when she saw the picture that Callius had shown her.

“Huh? That’s right. Did you see the Miris decoration I made with the flower arrangement?”

"Yes?"

Callius's surprised gaze met Chloe's innocent, unaware gaze for a long time.

Granada and Lamia entered the castle with Luca.

The soldiers who were about to leave to find Granada and Lamia under the orders of Callius dismounted from their horses upon seeing the two men.

Mainz spotted Granada and quickly came out to the entrance and started nagging.

"Sister, do you know how worried I was last night? Why did you stay out all night, something you never did even when you were younger..."

Granada spoke dryly, maintaining her usual upright posture.

"Something happened. I need to see the master. Where is he?"

“He hasn’t woken up yet. By the way, who is that person?”

Mainz lowered his voice.

“Did you catch the Empress of Kavala's weed?”

Mainz, who had mistakenly assumed that Granada had found Andrew and the group of strangers, whom even the knights had not yet found, and that Lamia and the two had dealt with them, was left speechless.

Granada was tight-lipped, as it was still unclear whether Luca was merely a relative of Lamia and a traveler from Ronheim, or whether he was truly one of the Kavala's spies.

“Tell the master to come down and see me quickly, Mainz.”

Granada entered the building at a brisk pace.

As Granada was about to climb the stairs to the main hall after passing the entrance, he suddenly stopped in front of the Miris flower arrangement decorating the hall.

“That’s...”

It was just as Granada was about to say something.

Suddenly, there was a loud noise coming from the stairs, and Chloe came running down the stairs in her pajamas, a shawl, and slippers.

Then, Callius, who had taken her hand, appeared with her, wearing only a loose outer garment and no top.

“Over there! Over there!”

Chloe pointed to the Miris decoration.

The servants who saw the Marquis and his wife in their pajamas and their disheveled appearance, and several knights who were coming in to report while keeping Luca in the yard, were startled.

But Chloe, Callius, and Granada didn't have the luxury of worrying about appearances or greetings.

All three opened their mouths almost simultaneously.

“Look closely, Callius! Is that it?”

“Are you talking about the vase down there?”

“Prince, what happened? Why is that...?”

Brentian, who happened to be on his way to work, opened his mouth at the sight of the strange sight, then dropped the bag he was holding when he saw the vase in Callius's hand.

"Uh...?"

What had been a mere vase containing a Miris flower arrangement became a familiar Holy Grail in Callius's hands.

No one would have thought that the Holy Grail would be in Ronheim Castle, much less would they have imagined that it would be used as a vase, so the Holy Grail was left as a decoration in the hall for two whole days.

People were so shocked and dumbfounded when they first noticed it.

Callius lifted the Miris stems slightly to carefully check whether what he was holding was truly a relic of Ronheim.

It was clear from the scratches and dents that had been there for a while.

A smile spread across Callius's lips that he couldn't hide.

“Where and how did you get this, Chloe?”

“I brought it with me when I was searching through the treasure trove of Kavala.”

“So it's been with us from the beginning until now?”

“I brought it hidden inside a teddy bear!”

Chloe said proudly.

Callius also remembered the teddy bear and cushion she had brought with her.

He thought the Holy Grail was in there.

Only then did Callius remember what Lhasa had said.

“Your Excellency, the precious thing you have been searching for for so long is near at hand.”

Ah, this time again she was right.

Callius was so happy that he didn't know what to do, and he raised the Holy Grail towards the people.

“Chloe, the Marchioness has come to find the Holy Grail!”

Until then, the employees who had been murmuring, “Could it be that vase?” were overwhelmed with emotion and shouted.

“Wow!”

Some people burst into tears, others stamped their feet in joy.

“Long live the Marchioness!”

Callius held the Holy Grail in one hand and lifted Chloe into his arms with the other.

Then, he kissed Chloe's cheek and forehead, who was wide-eyed in surprise, as if he couldn't stand it because it was so lovely.

Chloe was embarrassed, but no one thought it was a bad thing.

Because at this moment, if anyone could, they would kiss Chloe like Callius did.

From that day on, all the people of Ronheim praised Chloe.

“The Marchioness is definitely an angel sent from God.”

"She is the one who performs miracles."

Everyone was praising Chloe without hesitation.

Ronheim's pride and hope, which had been shattered from within by the loss of the Holy Grail, were instantly restored with the rumor that the Holy Grail had been recovered.

All of Ronheim was in an uproar.

The respect and affection for Chloe took root firmly in Ronheim and blossomed into full bloom.
