“Your Majesty!”
The servant, carrying a basin and heading to the bathroom, was startled by the Emperor rushing into the bedroom.
Everyone gathered in front of the bed bowed their heads as they looked at Linel.
“The bleeding is already too severe, there’s nothing else we can do...”
At that moment, the palace doctor spoke to Bellos, who was standing next to Linel.
Linel’s breathing seemed to stop.
“Pesilini, don’t lose your cool. Yeah?”
It was Zelda’s voice.
He had completely forgotten he was holding his breath until he heard her voice and exhaled with a “Whew!”
“Then who’s lying in bed right now?”
The relief quickly vanished.
Another ominous feeling drew him to the bed.
A baby’s face appeared between the servants.
The one holding the baby was Pecilini’s servant.
It seemed Pecilini had given birth?
However, the servants who had assisted with the birth and the palace doctor looked unhappy.
Zelda's sobbing revealed Pecilini's serious condition.
As Bellos pushed aside the palace doctor and checked Pecilini's condition, her hand fell out of the bed.
This, too, was a scene from a dream.
Linel stopped walking and placed a hand on her forehead.
The woman from the nightmare was Pecilini?
"Madame. Come to your senses. Madane!"
The baby, startled by Bellos's voice, burst into tears.
"Why, why are you doing this? Oh, no!!"
Zelda sat down on the bed and woke Pecilini.
"Your Majesty. Calm down. You need to rest. What if your stomach tightens again? Please!"
Sharon cried, supporting Zelda.
Zelda had also suffered from abdominal pain during Pecilini's labor, so Sharon was suddenly frightened.
But Zelda continued to shake Pecilini's shoulder.
"She's such a beautiful daughter. The baby is crying, so you have to hold her. She needs to breastfeed too... Yes?"
Pecilini didn't respond to Zelda's words.
Then Zelda began to get angry.
"How dare you continue to lie in the Empress's bed. Get up. I order you! Hurry!"
At Zelda's sobs, the attendants surrounding the bed sniffled and sobbed loudly.
Bellos bowed his head and took a step back from the bed.
"Magic Tower Lord!"
Bellos turned around at Linel's call and shook his head.
His expression indicated it was already too late.
Linel washed his face and approached.
Finally, the obstetrician took Pecilini's wrist and felt his pulse.
Linel looked down at the doctor. The doctor held Pecilini's wrist for about a minute, then stood up and bowed to Linel, saying.
"I'm sorry, Your Majesty."
No further words were needed.
The baby, aware that its mother was dead, cried even more heartbreakingly.
Pecilini's attendant tried to comfort the baby, but her cries were louder than the baby's.
Linel's heart was crushed.
His nightmare had become reality. He was relieved to discover that Zelda wasn't the one in his nightmare, but Pecilini's death was heartbreaking for him as well.
He held Zelda, who was grieving, from behind.
"Your Majesty, Your Majesty the Empress is in terrible condition. She keeps feeling bloated,"
Sharon said quietly to Linel.
The servant, carrying a basin and heading to the bathroom, was startled by the Emperor rushing into the bedroom.

Sharon said quietly to Linel.
"We need to take her to another room."
Bellos added, his face filled with concern.
Linel carried Zelda, exhausted from crying, out of the bedroom.
I woke up the day after Pecilini's death.
Bellos said I had a fever all night.
Instead of using cold towels, Linel had to constantly cool me down, which was a struggle.
From that day on, I decided to stay at the main palace until the birth.
Linel would come up to the bedroom from his office several times a day to check on me.
Even after confirming that there was nothing wrong, he would keep my body close for a few minutes just in case, then go back to his office to help bring down the fever.
Pesilini's death was first reported to Grand Duke Martins of the Kingdom of Shattonil.
Upon hearing the sad news, Grand Duke Martins rushed to the Lapion Empire.
Pesilini's funeral was held on the same day as his arrival.
Except for Catherine, who was in the Lapion Empire, Rosie and Melanie were informed of Pesilini's death after the funeral.
This decision was made out of concern that they might be shocked by the impending birth of their children.
Like me, Catherine struggled throughout the funeral and ended up confined to bed for several days.
The day after the funeral, Grand Duke Martins requested an audience with me.
“I’ll take the baby.”
Grand Duke Martins’s request was unexpected.
“Grand Duke, if Pesilini were alive, I would have sent her to the Kingdom of Shattonil as she wished, but things are different now,”
Linel said with a cautious expression.
He was right.
“I think it would be better for the baby to be raised at the Imperial Court. Of course, she could grow up well in the Kingdom of Shattonil, but I don’t want her raised by a nanny I don’t know.”
Grand Duke Martins, who had been fiddling with his teacup, spoke again at my words.
“Melody.”
“Huh?”
“The baby’s name. I’ve been exchanging letters with Madame Pesilini. I already chose the baby’s name a month ago. Kane if the baby is a boy, Melody if it’s a girl.”
Melody...
Pecilini kept mumbling something before closing her eyes. Was it perhaps the baby’s name?
My heart ached.
“It’s a pretty name, Melody... It suits her well.”
“Right? I named Melody.”
So, his expression suggested he wanted to take responsibility.
“After I ascend to the throne, I plan to formally initiate the adoption process.”
Surprisingly, Grand Duke Martins seemed to have already made up his mind before arriving here.
“Please don’t tell Prince Tesla anything about Pecilini and Melody. He’ll find out when the time comes, but I want to keep it a secret from him as much as possible.”
“Of course. But, Grand Duke, as the Empress said, wouldn’t it be better for the child to be raised in the Lapion royal family?”
“No.”
Despite Linel’s persuasion, Grand Duke Martins’s resolve remained firm.
“I’m sure Madame Pecilini would prefer Melody to grow up in the Shattonil royal family.”
Just then, Sharon entered the office, holding Melody.
When Grand Duke Martins handed Melody over, Melody, who had been crying the entire time, stopped crying and gazed into the Grand Duke's face.
"Let's get along well from now on. Melody..."
When Grand Duke Martins called her name, strangely enough, Melody smiled.
It was the first smile she had ever seen in her life.
Seven years later.
"Your Majesty, we're in trouble."
Raphael said as he entered the office.
Linel glanced at the desk clock.
Yesterday, Raphael had come in at a similar time, saying the same thing.
"Something big happens every day these days."
He closed his eyes for a moment, reading the report, and rubbed his eyebrows.
"Were they preparing a rebellion today?"
"Yes, they raided the scene today."
Linel's five-year-old son, Mathias, along with Moiya and Moni, were always at the center of the treason plot.
"So, did you catch the traitors today?"
"We missed them..."
"Have you ever seen such incompetent people?"
"I'm sorry. But the traitors are so fast.”
“I thought the leader of the traitors didn’t have wings?”
Linel called Mathias the leader of the traitors.
“The wyverns always fly away with His Highness the Prince, so we can’t do anything about it.”
The other wyverns besides Moiya and Moni were also serving as Mathias’ wings.
“Come up with a plan.”
“It’s not as easy as it sounds, right? As Your Majesty knows, His Highness is always at the center of the treason, so we can’t control him forcefully.”
“Hmm, Mathias. How can someone without wings keep flying around in the sky? It’s a problem, a problem.”
Bellos added, his face filled with concern.
Linel carried Zelda, exhausted from crying, out of the bedroom.

He wasn’t even afraid.
It was all because Moiya and Moni had been ‘secretly’ raising their daughter and son since they were babies.
“But isn’t it a bigger problem that he’s only five years old and keeps plotting treason?”
“What strange treasonous plot was there today?”
“They say he’s going to overthrow the Lapion Empire and establish a new one.”
“...I think you said you were going to take over the imperial kitchens just last week?”
The scale was getting bigger and bigger.
“Are you saying you’re going to establish a wyvern empire?”
“No.”
“Or else?”
“A sausage empire.”
“Huh? That’s crazy.”
“They had a pretty specific plan.”
“Tell me.”
“Hey’re going to pour various sauces into every fountain in the imperial palace so you can dip sausages in them whenever you want, and we’re going to create a sausage family in the empire to keep the other noble families in check.”
Raphael chuckled intermittently throughout his report, but Linel's brow remained fixed.
"Ah, the hair. What did the leader of the traitors say?"
"His Highness was very pleased."
"Wasn't Lily there?"
"Yes, the Princess is busy these days."
Raphael's words filled Linel with ominous emotion.
He had given his children love without distinction, but they, regardless of gender, had been causing trouble in the same way.
Still, his eldest, Lily, who was soon to turn seven, had a sense of self and was smarter than Majesty, so he held out hope.
"Is she busy studying?"
"Your Majesty, she has big dreams."
Linel, embarrassed by his words, quickly added,
"They're both smart. It's just that they don't study."
He then added that even though his children cause trouble every day, they are kind-hearted.
It's hard to judge your own children objectively.
Raphael nodded outwardly, but shook his head inwardly, thinking,
“Should I really rely on my third child for academics?”
He pondered seriously, bringing up his yet-to-be-born third child.
“Your Majesty, you should discuss that with Her Majesty the Empress.”
Raphael replied sullenly.
The fame of the Imperial Palace’s open trousers had long since faded.
Raphael, still unmarried, was envious of the Emperor’s plans for a third child who hadn’t even been born.
“So. Anyway, what’s our eldest busy with these days?”
“The Princess is busy following the Lord of the Magic Tower.”
“The Lord of the Magic Tower? Why?”
“Well, maybe it’s because she wants to develop her fire powers more quickly?”
Lily, like Zelda, could manipulate fire.
Although it was still weak, she possessed the ability to increase or decrease the intensity of flames.
Although she would sometimes burn dolls' heads out of fear of her own strength, she would also often do the admirable job of going around the servants' quarters and lighting a fire in the fireplace.
"How admirable. She's better than my son, who plots rebellion at every opportunity."
Linel said with a pleased face, and Raphael, who had been watching him, sneered.
"Zelda, how about we have our third child today?"
Linel whispered, his hand brushing up my leg.
He'd been giving me that sticky look for a while, so I wondered why.
"Umm... Let me think about it."
"Why would you think about it? You said giving birth isn't hard at all."
"That's right. Just push a few times and it'll be over."
Rosie, Melanie, and Catherine all said that giving birth was so difficult that they felt like they'd met God at least once, but I'd say, "Ah!" and the baby would come out with a "Waaa!" My first child only yelped three times, and my second child only twice.
If we were having a third child, there was a good chance it would come out in a single shout.
“Then why are you hesitating?”
“Having children isn’t the problem. The children are the problem.”
“They’ll get better as they grow up.”
“Do you really think so?”
“No.”
Linel immediately apologized and burst into laughter.
“The third one might be quiet.”
“He might be even more troublesome.”
But as we talked, I suddenly became curious about the third one’s face.
My eldest, Lily, looked exactly like me, and my second, Mathias, looked exactly like Linel. I had a feeling the third one would be half and half for us.
“Should we just have it?”
I whispered, pulling his neck closer to mine.
“But what if he turns out to be even more mischievous?”
“We have a fourth.”
With that, I couldn’t say anything else.
My chin fell back, and he took my breath away.
A coolness spread through my body at Linel’s touch.
A ticklish yet tingling sensation permeated every nook and cranny.
“Zelda...”
“Linel...”
Desire swelled in an instant.
The moment our passionate hearts were about to open, the bedroom door opened first.
“I have something to tell you!”
It was Lily, our eldest, who was about to turn seven tomorrow.
“No answer, go away,”
Linel said solemnly.
It was an order that felt like an Emperor’s for the first time in a while.
“And, daughter, could you knock?”
“Is that okay?”
At his nagging, Lily ran to the bedroom door and knocked.
“Mathias isn’t here?”
They always barged in together, but today Lily was alone.
“Your son is busy plotting treason,”
He replied with a serious face, looking back at Lily.
“What did your father say he would do if you opened the door without knocking?”
“He said he’d hang it on the door. I came in prepared.”
Lily said firmly.
“Are you excited about the birthday party tomorrow?”
“It’s your birthday every year, you know.”
Until last year, she was so excited she couldn’t sleep a week before her birthday, and she was jumping up and down.
“Huh, okay. What’s the matter?”
I scoffed and asked again.
“I’m getting married.”
She wasn’t even asking for a wedding, but she's going to.
That was basically just an announcement.
“...Yes, do it. When you find someone you love.”
He responded indifferently to Lily’s declaration of war and pointed to the door, telling her to leave.
Instead of leaving the bedroom, Lily took a step closer.
“I have. So I’m going to do it.”
My daughter, your voice is quite determined.
I suppressed a laugh and watched the situation unfold.
"Daughter, you're so serious. You're even covering your cheeks with chocolate,"
Linel teased.
Lily's expression turned fierce, like that of a seasoned minister.
"Father, no, Your Majesty. Don't laugh. Is marriage a joke?"
Lily asked with a serious expression.
"!"
Linel sat up without realizing it at his seven-year-old daughter's comment.
It was all because Moiya and Moni had been ‘secretly’ raising their daughter and son since they were babies.
