TVOTP - Chapter 54

The day was bright, and it was morning.

When I opened my eyes, I hoped that all the things and emotions that happened yesterday were dreams.

"Good night, Princess?"

Carol's morning greeting was missing an earring in one ear.

'Damn.'

The dream was a perfect reality.

"Are your ears okay?"

"Yes, of course. It healed quickly. Don't worry, Princess."

Carol grinned.

The memory of Duke Rudnine became clearer, and it became fresh for no reason in the morning.

'Come to your senses! I have to work.'

I was lazily hanging on the bed like a thousand-year-old sloth, and I jumped up and slapped both cheeks with my hands.

'It hurts...'

I got out of bed, rubbing my sore cheeks from my hands, and decided to tie my long, tousled hair first.

There was a lot of work to do.

I raised my long hair high and tied it up in a bun to make it easier to work.

"Oh, princess?"

Carol, who was dragging in with a trolley containing breakfast, widened her eyes as if surprised by my appearance.

"Why?

"Did you tie it yourself?"

"Yes."

"Well, the hairstyle. What do you mean? Amazingly, you look like you have a round bread on your head."

Looking at Carol as she approached me and looked around, I replied sadly.

"This?! Is it my head? Is it beautiful?"

"Yes? Also?"

"Well, can you do it too?"

"Oh, no. I have a short neck and narrow shoulders, so it won't suit me."

When I deliberately emphasized them to make Carol laugh, she was frightened and took a step back.

Hmm. How comfortable and beautiful this hair is. It is said to be the best hairstyle for working in the hot summer.

When I looked in the full-length mirror, it suited me very well.

My round forehead and long, white neck are coolly exposed, making me look neater.

"Well, it's not a thing that a noble young lady can do."

I deliberately tied my hair tighter to cheer up, rubbing my cheeks and muttering.

"Let's do our best."

After eating a hearty meal prepared by Chef Argenthoz in the morning, I entered my lab with a piece of the magic earring artifact that had exploded.

"Hmm..."

I touched my chin with one hand and looked around.

Anyway, because of my current magic amnesia, I won't be able to do my own research on the errors of magic artifacts.

I had seen that Yvonne had a notebook where she wrote down every time she made a magic artifact before, so I decided to check it out.

While I was looking for it while opening my notebook, I stopped at a page.

"Here it is, the Earring Type Bomb Artifact."

I looked carefully at the notebook and opened my mouth in pure admiration.

Yvonne has meticulously written everything from the design of the artifacts she has created to the finished drawing.

Although I don't understand any magic language or designs at the moment, I still think I can see how hard I worked on it.

Yvonne was such a meticulous person. The more I know, the better and more diligent I am.

Such a person goes beyond the villain and becomes a dark side and dies a terrible death.

"You're not going to die. Trust me, Yvonne."

I swear, as I flipped through my well-organized notebook, but somehow I felt strange.

What do you mean?

Yes, when the Duke of Argenthoz and Barden feel like a real 'family'.

It was similar to the strange sense of anticipation that I felt every time I rejected it, saying.

"This is not it."

I felt rumbling and dizzy.

Why does this feeling repeat itself? Could it be wrong for me to possess Yvonne?

Although I faced many unexpected challenges, I still never regretted living as Yvonne.

She is the youngest daughter of a wealthy family and has a bit of a strange personality, but I also has a new family that is affectionate in their own way.

Besides, I met a man like Rudnine and had my first 'first love' in my life.

That ecstasy, the magic of seeing only that person in the world, had never been felt in my previous life.

'Ugh. Let's stop thinking about it.'

I started a big operation to forget my unrequited love, but I scolded myself for thinking like Rudnine.

Then I glanced at the fragmented magic earring artifact.

If I could cure my magical amnesia quickly, I would be able to investigate, but if it were delayed, I would need a wizard to secretly investigate for me.

'What should I do?'

"Princess, this is Carol."

As I was thinking of a way, I heard Carol calling me over the lab door.

"Eudela Rognier and Liana's Rognil have arrived."

Sister Rognier came early in the morning.

I hurriedly got up from my seat.

"Tell them to wait in the drawing room. I'll be there right away."

"Yes, Princess."

I tore up the exploding magic earring fragment and Yvonne's notebook and took them to the light green locker.

Secrets that are growing again.

I was very curious about the diary that was still locked.

What was written there that Yvonne had hidden it?

And there were almost no magic artifacts in this lab that Yvonne had experimented on.

'...What kind of experiment did Yvonne spend so much money on? She even contracted a disease called magical amnesia.'

If I treat magic amnesia later, I'll remember everything.

For some reason, I glared at the diary for a while and then cleaned up. Then I went to the drawing room where Sister Rognier and Carol were waiting.

"Good night, Princess!"

Eudela greeted brightly first.

Two women stood next to Carol.

Eudela greets me with a smile. And next to her was a woman wearing a hood with a thick robe covering all her limbs, even in the middle of summer.

It looked frustrating.

Eudela's older sister, Liana Rognier, covered most of her face with a black cloth mask, and only her eyes were exposed.

'I think the skin disease is really bad.'

As I stared at her silently, Liana Rognier bowed down first and greeted me politely.

"This is Rianna Rognier, Princess Argenthoz. Nice to meet you. I think it will be offensive to the Princess, so please understand that I covered my face."

Unlike her younger brother, Eudela, she spoke in a very calm and elegant manner

The etiquette is also excellent.

Liana, the real successor, could have become the Viscountess of Rognier.

I approached her without hesitation.

When Liana was startled and was about to take a step back, I grinned and said.

"I'm fine. If you feel uncomfortable, you can keep covering it, but it's common sense that if you wrap up the affected area of a skin disease, the disease will get worse."

"Oh... That's right."

Looking at Liana, who was hesitating, I deliberately made a gloomy expression.

"And since you came in as my secretary, I'll let you go, Liana."

"Of course... I'm no longer a nobleman, so of course Princess Argenthoz would treat me well."

"...Sister."

Behind Liana, Eudela whimpered sadly.

I heard that Liana and Eudela are nobles, but they have not received titles, so most of their property has been taken away by relatives, and they are being kicked out, and they are living a life that does not look like an aristocrat.

I invited Liana again to soothe Eudela.

"Hurry up, take off your robe and take off your mask. You even entered this mansion as my secretary, but I wanted to see for myself how your illness healed. You heard all the explanations, didn't you?"

"Of course, Princess."

Liana replied, hesitated for a moment, then lowered her hood and slowly took off her robe.

It was very hot, and his hair was all wet with sweat. Just looking at the exposed arms, neck, and legs, the skin was quite wrinkly, and there were many damaged areas.

Realizing that the condition was serious, I quickly ordered in a firm tone.

"Take off your mask, Liana. This will get worse."

Liana looked at me tiredly for a moment, then lowered her mask in slow motion.

A round face. There were pimple-like boils all over her face, and her eyes and mouth were swollen.

It was more serious than I thought, and I was speechless because I was sad, but Liana smiled first and said as if it was a familiar reaction.

"It's not contagious. But because of this kind of contagion, people avoid me. I understand. It's very terrible."

"...It's not terrible, sister."

"That's your idea. The proof is that there is no place where I can work in the capital. I can't even get married."

Liana refuted Eudela in a very firm and realistic voice in a beautiful voice.

It's a pity.

She is very knowledgeable and wonderful because she took the successor class, but there is no place where Liana can work.

She said that she couldn't find a job in a place where she had worked because of a skin disease.

As Liana said, she is an aristocrat, but no one thinks of her as a marriage partner because she has nothing but her identity as an aristocrat.

It was even more unfortunate that she was facing reality so directly.

"Is your body worse?"

"The body is also similar to the face."

"Yes. I would try using the Spring of the Sun, but it might not work."

I took turns looking at Liana and Eudela and gave her a warning in advance.

Liana frowned slightly, as if it was a sting near her eyes, then sighed and smiled softly.

"Yes, absolutely. Thank you so much for your support."

It's sponsorship.

It's not such a pure reason.

I was stabbed for some reason, so I pouted bluntly.

"It may not work."

"I really don't care. If it doesn't work this time, I'm going to leave the capital now."

"Sister?"

Eudela called urgently, but Liana stared at me with unwavering eyes and said firmly.

"I want to go with my mother to her hometown in the southern countryside and feel at ease. My mother has returned to her parents' family and is trying to make a living, and I plan to go to a nearby monastery and take on the translation work."

"But, sister! If we continue like this..."

"Let's stop now."

Liana looked really tired.

She grew up receiving succession training to become Viscountess Rognier, but was forced to give up her title due to a skin disease.

The reason she has been working hard to treat her skin disease so far is probably not because she wants to cure her own skin disease, but to regain the title and honor that she was unjustly deprived of.

She has been running until now, thinking of her mother and Eudela, who are the family members left behind.

It was really sad.

Liana endured so much for her family. And for such an older sister, Eudela came to find this scary Princess of Argenthoz and knelt down.

Once again, moved and envious of the bond between my family, I glanced at the crying Eudela and said to Carol

"Let's take it slow, one by one. Carol, call our doctor for now."

"Yes, Princess!"

Carol went to call the attending doctor who resided in the annex of the Argenthoz mansion.

But less than five minutes later, Carol and the doctor came and were surprised.

"What, what? Why did you come so soon?"

Then the attending doctor laughed.

"That's because the Little Duke has a severe hangover... I've been in the main building since dawn."

Good lord.

Did you fall ill so badly that you called a doctor for two glasses of wine?

It was ridiculous, but I began to worry genuinely about Barden, who gasped and screamed even though he jumped a little.

"Oh my God. Is it that bad?"
