“What’s going on?”
“An invitation has arrived from the Pasha Empire.”
Raphael handed him the invitation.
He unfolded it and looked at Prince Norton.
“Prince Calvain’s coronation ceremony is next week.”
“Is that so?”
Prince Norton was indifferent, as if listening to a foreign story.
“He’d like Rosie to attend the coronation ceremony as well.”
“Hmm, what a good opportunity.”
He agreed.
“Your Majesty will be attending, right?”
“An invitation has arrived from the Pasha Empire.”
Raphael handed him the invitation.

Prince Norton was indifferent, as if listening to a foreign story.

“Your Majesty will be attending, right?”
“Of course I should. Squid, no, Raphael. Report back to me who will be joining the congratulatory delegation.”
“...Yes, Your Majesty.”
Raphael, with a shaky expression, exited the banquet hall again.
“Rosie will probably be the busiest before we leave for the Pasha Empire, so I need you to help her out.”
He said, taking my hand.
“Yes, it’s unfortunate, but I guess I should.”
“Thank you…”
Rosie spoke with a smile, then met Prince Norton's eyes, and her cheeks flushed.
"I suppose it's safest and fastest to get to the Pasha Empire by sea, rather than by land, right?"
He paused for a moment, then asked Prince Norton.
"Yes, Your Majesty. The current is a bit strong near the Valley of Death, but once you get past that, you're in the Pasha Empire, so the boat ride is generally the smoothest."
As they talked about their journey to the Pasha Empire, the meal resumed, but he couldn't eat much.
Before Linel, there were only giant squid dishes resembling Raphael and sweet potatoes resembling Grand Duke Martins.
"Your Majesty, even if you don't have an appetite, try something else."
When I pushed my plate toward him, he turned his head to the side in disgust.
"I can't eat anything else. These days, there are only three things I can eat."
"Those three?"
Prince Norton asked curiously.
Linel grabbed my hand and folded his fingers one by one.
“First, the squid that reminds me of Raphael, so I can’t stop eating it. Second, the sweet potato that resembles Grand Duke Martins. Third, these lips.”
He folded his third finger and stroked my lips.
“We’ll have this for dessert later.”
Linel’s remark prompted Prince Norton and Rosie to lick their forks.
The carriage carrying Princess Resilia stopped in front of the Spire Prison, where Prince Tesla was imprisoned.
“I’ll take her in myself,”
Commander Macrom said to the knight who was about to open the carriage door as he dismounted.
“Yes, Commander.”
The Commander opened the carriage door and looked at Princess Resilia.
“Come out.”
“Where are we?”
The windows of Princess Resilia’s carriage were blocked, so she couldn’t see outside the entire ride.
Even though she knew that she wouldn’t be immediately punished, as her brother had been punished through proper procedures, she was anxious that they might drag her to a strange place and immediately destroy her.
“The palace.”
Commander Macrom retorted curtly.
Princess Resilia stared at him, blocking the carriage door, then quickly scanned the outside scenery.
"That's right."
The familiar palace buildings came into view.
However, they didn't seem to be near the main palace or the villa where she was staying.
At any rate, it was fortunate that they were inside the palace and not in some random place.
"Please get out, Princess."
Furthermore, Grand Duke Martins approached Captain Macrom.
Princess Resilia felt even more reassured, as he was from the same Kingdom of Shattonil.
"Grand Duke! What do you plan to do with me?"
Princess Resilia's first question wasn't Rams.
Grand Duke Martins felt a pang of pride at her, not even asking whether her son was alive or dead, but only concerned for his own safety.
It wasn't like she had any particular affection for him.
"...Who are you talking about?"
She should have named them specifically.
So many people want to do something for her.
Grand Duke Martins looked at her pitifully and asked,
"Your Highness. Didn't you say anything about what you plan to do with me?"
Actually, he was most curious about how angry Prince Norton was with him, but since this was the Lapion Empire, he assumed Emperor Linel would have the authority to do so, so he asked.
"Aren't you curious about what's become of Rams?"
He tried to avoid the conversation altogether, but the absurdity was so overwhelming that he ended up asking.
Grand Duke Martins didn't consider himself a righteous person at all. But he wasn't human trash, either, and he was curious about the thoughts of the scum before him.
"He's dead anyway."
Princess Resilia assumed Rams was dead.
It was only natural that a newborn baby falling into the ravine beneath the bridge had no chance of survival.
"If it were ground beneath the bridge, we would have found the body, but with the rain, the ravine's waters swelled, and the currents were strong; we wouldn't have found it. Right?"
Princess Resilia's lips trembled, her gaze dropping.
Then she raised her head again, looking at Grand Duke Martins, and continued.
"I wasn't intentional, like my brother. You see, Grand Duke? Rams pulled my hair hard..."
"Come out."
Grand Duke Martins cut her off, stepping aside to the carriage door.
There was no need to hear more.
Commander Macrom, who was beside him, stepped back to allow the Princess to disembark.
"Won't Norton or Zelda be waiting for me when I get out?"
Princess Resilia swallowed nervously and stepped out of the carriage.
There was no one else there but the knights. But...
"W-why are we here? This is where my brother is imprisoned!"
Princess Resilia shouted, looking up at the bleak, reddish-brown brick building in front of the carriage.
"This is exactly what His Majesty intended,"
Grand Duke Martins said, nodding to the spire.
Princess Resilia shook her head in denial and began to back away.
"Come on in. There will be welcoming people inside."
Commander Macrom grabbed the Princess's arm, remembering Prince Tesla.
"His Majesty ordered me imprisoned?!"
Did she expect herself to sleep soundly in his villa?
Commander Macrom scoffed.
"I told His Majesty... it was a mistake!"
Even if it was a mistake, this wouldn't have happened if Rams hadn't been kidnapped in the first place.
Without a word to reply, Commander Macrom silently grabbed Princess Resilia's arm and led her toward the open spire door.
When the Princess squirmed, refusing to enter the spire, Grand Duke Martins had no choice but to grab her other arm.
“Let me go! Why are you dragging me to a sunlightless basement? I hate the dark!”
As they descended into the spire’s basement, Princess Resilia’s resistance intensified.
Commander Macrom stopped right next to the room at the end of the hallway.
“This is it. In the next room is your older brother, Prince Tesla.”
“What, what did you say?”
“It’s His Majesty’s consideration.”
“?”
It sounded like mockery, but Commander Macrom’s formal, hard voice prevented Princess Resilia from expressing her anger.
Commander Macrom pushed Princess Resilia’s back into the prison.
“Don’t touch me!”
Princess Resilia snapped, her shoulders flinching.
Just then, the sound of Prince Tesla’s cell door opening was heard.
“Would you like to say hello to your colleague in the next room?”
Commander Macrom asked Princess Resilia, this time with a sarcastic expression.
This afternoon was the day Prince Tesla’s trial results would be announced.
“It’s time to go to the Grand Hall.”
Grand Duke Martins pulled his pocket watch from his inner pocket and checked the time.
“Yes, I see the letter from the Kingdom of Shattonil regarding our response has already arrived at the Grand Hall.”
“...Yes, Your Majesty.”
Raphael, with a shaky expression, exited the banquet hall again.
“Rosie will probably be the busiest before we leave for the Pasha Empire, so I need you to help her out.”
He said, taking my hand.

Depending on the opinions of the Shattonil royal family and their ministers, the trial could be delayed further.
However, Grand Duke Martins smiled leisurely. He had already intervened with the powerful ministers of Shattonil
“...Resilia? Why are you here, not in there?!”
Prince Tesla was being led out of his cell by the knights when he found Princess Resilia in the room next to his.
“Brother! You’re going to trial, right? Then, please tell His Majesty about me.”
“What are you talking about? Did you really cause trouble again?”
The person responsible for the irreversible accident suddenly lashed out at his younger sister.
"She hired a guild to kidnap Rams, but she was caught."
Grand Duke Martins told Prince Tesla.
"Why the sudden kidnapping?"
"They were trying to take Rams to the Pasha Empire, but she threw him off the bridge over the valley."
"What?!"
“Of course, His Majesty and Prince Norton witnessed it, as did Her Highness Zelda and Her Highness Rosie.”
It was obvious whether Rams would live or die.
“You idiot!”
Prince Tesla momentarily forgot his own crimes and hurled curses at Princess Resilia, his anger running wild.
“The Pasha Empire was the last place our kingdom could hope to touch, and you’re ruining it? This idiot won’t help us in life anyway! You're even my little sister... Ugh!”
Prince Tesla lamented, patting his robe.
With Rams at the forefront, the prince planned to enlist the help of Calvain, soon to become Emperor of the Pasha Empire, to help him find his princely status.
While his own kingdom might not have the strength to stand against the Lapion Empire, the Pasha Empire, the greatest power in the Southern Continent, would be a different story.
But now that his last hope had been dashed by his own sister, he felt his soul leave him.
“I was such a mistake! Hey, let’s just say that this was also your order. At least one person should live, right?”
“Who are you?”
Prince Tesla turned his head coldly.
If he spoke any further to Princess Resilia, his blood pressure would explode, and he would die before he even reached the Great Hall.
“...Oh, Brother!”
“I will tell you the results of the trial.”
The High Priest pulled a rolled-up verdict from a leather case.
The only person in the courtroom who had anticipated the verdict was Prince Tesla.
“Before the verdict, there was a vote among the ministers who had the right to participate in the trial based on the opinions His Majesty had provided. I would like to inform you in advance that the vote was unanimously in agreement with His Majesty’s opinion.”
“W-what nonsense...!”
Prince Tesla looked around the spectator area, searching for someone.
The Prince’s gaze lingered on Marquis Astor, Pecilini’s father.
Marquis Astor, as if aware that Prince Tesla was watching him, deliberately addressed another minister sitting next to him.
Prince Tesla's mouth moved silently and dazzlingly. He was probably swearing.
The Prince's second glance turned to Grand Duke Martins.
His gaze seemed to ask, "What have you been doing until this situation has come to this?" He seemed uneasy, but he seemed to believe he wouldn't actually be stripped of his title.
He seemed to expect a strong protest from the kingdom.
"Based on His Majesty's opinion and the votes of the ministers, this court has held an in-depth discussion. As a result, the final verdict is as follows."
The High Priest paused, glanced at me and Prince Tesla, and then resumed reading the verdict.
It was very short and concise.
"Prince Tesla Hale of the Kingdom of Shattonil is guilty of attempted murder of Her Highness Zelda von Trova, Second Consort of the Lapion Empire. However, in consideration of the close relationship between our two countries, I hereby relinquish his title as a form of atonement."
Some people murmured that the final verdict was too lenient, but they were unaware of Linel's plans.
Furthermore, Prince Tesla was a member of a foreign royal family, and attempted murder could not be punished directly, let alone executed.
That was precisely why he had demanded that Prince Tesla be stripped of his title. Ultimately, it would be Grand Duke Martins...
"This is a fabrication, this is nonsense!"
Prince Tesla shouted, pointing his finger at the High Priest.
"The prisoner must remain silent!"
The High Priest said solemnly, ordering the knights to restrain Prince Tesla from causing a disturbance.
"I will proceed with the verdict. Furthermore, upon returning to his homeland, he is prohibited from traveling abroad for three years and must spend one year in a monastery practicing spiritual discipline."
The High Priest set down the verdict and addressed the audience.
"His Majesty will personally announce the statement from the Kingdom of Shattonil."
Linel himself began to recite the statement from the Kingdom of Shattonil.
A hint of anticipation flashed across Prince Tesla's face, his face ashen.
"The home nation deeply regrets this incident. A small amount of compensation will be provided to the Second Concubine, Madame Zelda, who suffered the greatest harm due to Prince Tesla's recklessness."
He glanced at me as he read the statement.
What kind of compensation?
I'd never asked for compensation, but if it was offered, there was no reason not to accept it.
"Finally, the King and his ministers of Shattonil... desire that Tesla Hale remain in the Lapion Imperial Prison for a year as atonement. All expenses during this period will be covered by the home nation. I implore His Majesty the Emperor of the Lapion Empire to accept the home nation's proposal."
"...This is a fabrication! A conspiracy! It can't be true!!"
Prince Tesla's eyes were bloodshot.
"If you don't believe me, check the royal seal."
Linel had a knight hand him the official seal of the Kingdom of Shattonil.
Prince Tesla had been running the government in place of the ailing King. However, with the Prince currently absent from the royal palace, the use of the official seal once again fell into the King's purview.
Prince Tesla opened the official seal with trembling hands and screamed.
It was a moment of abandonment, even for his own father. He had been causing a ruckus, tearing the official seal to shreds, and Commander Macrom had trudged in front of the prisoners' table.
Before the Commander could subdue him, Prince Tesla had already frozen in fear, but his stern mouth remained imperious.
"Look at the two of you! You'll all regret it. How dare you treat me like shit?"
No one paid attention to Prince Tesla's words as he was dragged away like a dog.
"Even though I'm imprisoned, my future is growing!!"
Prince Tesla roared, his eyes glaring.
It seemed like he was referring to the child in Pesilini's womb.
'That child will grow up to be great in the Lapion Imperial Family.'
So, you have no future.
The night after the trial, the Magic Tower Lord came to my quarters.
Linel opened the bedroom door for Magic Tower Lord himself, turned to me, and said teasingly,
"Your best friend has come."
"I thought His Majesty would be with you."
Magic Tower Lord's expression looked quite serious.
"Please sit down. What is the matter?"
I asked, offering Magic Tower Lord a seat.
"I heard you are attending Prince Calvain's coronation as Emperor."
"Should you come too?"
"Yes, of course. Are you going by ship?"
Magic Tower Lord asked cautiously.
"Yes. Is there a problem?"
"The wyverns have returned to the Valley of Death."
Magic Tower Lord paused for a moment before speaking.
As soon as I heard that, my heart, imprinted with the Incarnation Sword, began to pound.
“I suppose so.”
Depending on the opinions of the Shattonil royal family and their ministers, the trial could be delayed further.
