Moiya flew towards Linel at a terrifying speed.
He seemed oblivious to the situation, just blankly staring at Moiya, who charged at him with a fork held like a spear.
If Moiya really stabs a vital part with the fork, who will suffer?
...It will be my loss.
“Hurry up and go!”
He seemed oblivious to the situation, just blankly staring at Moiya, who charged at him with a fork held like a spear.
If Moiya really stabs a vital part with the fork, who will suffer?
...It will be my loss.
“Hurry up and go!”
I quickly pretended to bring my hands together in front of me and shouted at him.
"What?"
"Don't just stand there blankly. Go quickly or dodge!"
"Why should I do that?"
"Just dodge for now! I don't want a husband who has lost his function!!"
Sharon was right next to me, but I overcame my embarrassment and shouted.
"Huh... What, why are you doing this? Moiya, are you?!"
Only then did Linel realize where Moiya was flying.
Just before the fork touched his center, he stirred.
The moment Linel's body whipped to the side, almost simultaneously, a fork slammed into the bedroom door, right behind where he had been standing.
Fortunately, the fork struck the bedroom door, not his vital organ.
Even though it was a baby, a wyvern was still a wyvern, and the force with which it pressed down was incredible.
"Ow? I failed, didn't I, Moiya~?"
Moiya, missing its target, took its hand off the fork without a second thought.
It had pressed so deeply that more than half of the fork's tip was buried deep in the bedroom door.
Moiya, that's crazy!
I couldn't believe it, but Moiya really was going to stab his vital organ with the fork.
The force with which Moiya pressed the fork was so strong that even after Moiya let go, the tip remained level with the bedroom door.
Linel looked back and forth between the fork's location on the bedroom door and his own core, then gaped.
He looked at Moiya with a terrified expression.
"Were you aiming for... Me with that fork just now?"
Moiya silently pointed to his center with his finger.
Moiya's finger slowly began to move towards a certain spot.
"Oh, it's going to stab me."
Linel swatted Moiya's hand away and pulled the fork out of the bedroom door.
"Oh, it's not coming out easily. Where on earth were you trying to... stab with that fork?"
"Is there anything else His Majesty is good at?"
Moiya huffed, eyes downcast.
"...Did you mistake it for a sausage?"
"No."
"Then why did you attempt to assassinate it?"
He belatedly scolded Moiya, his heart pounding.
"That's why you should've answered quickly!"
"One guy said he was going to pull something out, and the other said he was going to tear it off. What kind of bloody talk is that? They all seem to be talking about my body."
"Um, I'm going to go now."
Sharon said to me, hugging her knitting basket.
I was about to nod when she said,
"Sharon, stop."
Linel was quick.
“Put these in that basket and go. I need to talk to you first, so hold on a moment.”
He motioned for Sharon to sit back down.
“Yes? Yes... Your Majesty...”
“Sharon, just continue what you were doing,”
I said quietly to her, fidgeting.
Sharon, consciously, sat back down and began knitting with her head down, as if she didn’t belong in this room.
“Huh, you’re so smart when you’re useless to my master.”
He flinched at Moiya’s muttering to himself.
“How... did you know?”
He asked, his eyes widening.
Moiya closed his mouth with a “Huh!” and his gaze turned to me.
I shrugged, mouthing “I didn’t say that!” and waving my hands.
“Moiya. I asked how you knew.”
Linel asked again in a stern voice, and Moiya muttered in a crawling voice.
“The Great Wyvern knows everything. There’s nothing I don’t know... Don’t worry, Mr. Cold Body. I’ll go somewhere else and not spread rumors!”
“Does that make you a guy who knows?”
“Males can have separate bodies and minds. If you do something even a little bit reckless, I’ll get rid of you!”
“How easy it is to say it’s not yours. I am a male whose body and mind move together, so that kind of thing wouldn’t happen.”
He spoke to Moiya, glanced at me, and winked.
“And do you think that’s the only place I'm good at?”
He ran his hand along his jawline and patted his broad, firm chest.
Moiya tilted his head at him, subtly revealing his good points.
“Oh? No matter what, His Majesty, that’s the coolest part!”
“Moiya, did you see that?”
Moni, who was sitting on my shoulder, flew up next to Moiya and asked.
“Yeah, I saw it briefly before, didn’t I, Moiya~? It was truly amazing!”
“Really, really? Our Majesty is truly the best male, isn’t he, Moni~?”
Linel, who had been watching the two men’s conversation, burst out laughing.
I became aware of Sharon and watched her. Fortunately, Sharon had been covering her ears for some time.
“Moiya, a little while ago, you almost stole your master’s happiness.”
“That won’t do... So you’re going to keep looking at our master? Even with your belly this swollen?”
Moiya asked, making large circles with both hands on his belly.
“Of course. I pledged my loyalty to your master, more than you all.”
“Ow? Then just keep wearing it.”
“!”
Moiya said, seeming to understand, and patted his shoulder encouragingly.
“Ah! Later, when your eyes turn to a different female, it won’t be too late to take it off then, Moni~.”
Moni added a word and then, as usual, fell into Linel’s arms.
“But Moiya. Didn’t you mean to cut it off instead of taking it off?”
“Just cut it off and take it off~?”
Moiya was good at saying terrible things with his cute appearance.
“You’re okay, but Moni, I’m a bit disappointed. I thought you liked me.”
Linel asked, poking Moni’s back as she was in his arms.
“That’s true, but if you do something stupid to our master, you’ll be reprimanded, Moni~.”
“...Hmm. Now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, you can follow Sharon out. Now, you can go to the Magic Tower Master with this.”
He said, handing Moiya his fork back.
Moiya and Moni obediently climbed into the knitting basket Sharon was holding, obediently obeying his command.
“Well... I’ll be leaving now.”
Sharon hurried out of the bedroom after placing a sheet over both boys’ heads.
I finally approached him and offered some words of comfort.
“Your Majesty, you’re quite startled, aren’t you?”
“...What just happened? I think my legs have given out.”
He finally seemed to relax, and he leaned back against the wall, running a hand over his heart.
I brushed back the hair that had fallen from his forehead and offered words of comfort.
“Are you okay?”
“Whew, I think I should check.”
“Huh? What is it?”
Linel sighed in relief and placed a hand on his belt buckle.
“It seems quite startled.”
***
After the commotion, Linel decided to calm his mind by filling the bathtub with water.
“Aren’t you going to come in?”
“I just took a bath.”
Zelda sat on the edge of the tub, dipping one hand into the water to keep it warm.
“You can just stay in there.”
He grabbed her hand from the water and intertwined it, giving her a pleading look.
Her hips almost twitched at his wet face, but Zelda shook her head in refusal.
“Don’t worry. The water will stay warm even if I don’t get in.”
She spoke with a smile, her expression somehow deflated.
“Come to think of it, you keep avoiding my gaze, don’t you?”
Linel studied her face carefully, then raised a hand and gently grasped her chin.
“Look at me.”
“...Why?”
“I meant to ask. What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
“Nothing.”
“But why have you been in a bad mood all this time?”
“Does it seem so?”
“Uh. And besides, I think it’s because of me... Am I mistaken?”
Zelda clenched her jaw at Linel’s questioning. Unsure of how to control the urge to throw a tantrum for no reason, she chose silence.
"Tell me. That way, if I've done anything wrong, I can correct it."
Zelda's heart swelled with guilt at the sound of his gentle voice.
"What kind of torture is this for someone whose only joy is seeing you smile?"
Seeing his anxious face, examining her own mood, made her feel uneasy too.
"I suddenly feel strange. I'm having bad thoughts..."
Finally, she began to honestly confess her state of mind.
“...Bad thoughts, huh?”
Linel, uncharacteristically changed, was growing serious.
She fell silent again.
He gave her a moment, but she seemed reluctant to speak.
“Does this have anything to do with what we talked about earlier about Moiya and Moni?”
Linel, unable to bear it any longer, asked.
“...”
She wanted to say no, but couldn’t.
“Are you worried that I might be eyeing another woman? Are you worried about that right now?”
He stared into Zelda’s eyes.
The way her pink eyes trembled seemed to confirm his guess.
“They say that when a wife’s body changes, so do their husband's.”
“Who says that?”
“Most men say that. I’ll be changing my body soon.”
So?
He wanted to ask, but didn’t.
“You're so cute.”
He found her sudden jealousy heartbreakingly endearing.
And so he wanted to nurture that unfounded jealousy a little more.
“Aha. If my belly grows this much, will I walk with a waddle?”
“Really... that might happen.”
He pinched his thigh to keep from laughing at her cute response, puffing out his cheeks.
“If that happens, I don’t think I’ll be able to stand it...”
He raised an eyebrow and spoke seriously.
“What did you say just now?”
Zelda glared at him, her eyes filled with resentment.
“I said I wouldn’t be able to stand it.”
“!”
“Because I thought you’d be cute.”
“Huh?”
“You’d be so cute, I couldn’t bear to look at you with my eyes open.”
“...Stop teasing me! It’s upsetting.”
“Why would you be upset? I’ll love you even if you roll around.”
“Lies.”
“If you don’t believe me, try gaining weight and doing that. Zelda, I want to hold you so badly right now, but I’ll have to hold it in, right?”
Linel spread his arms wide and then lowered them again as he watched the moisture dripping from his body.
“All the worries you have during pregnancy are useless. Trust me.”
Or you can cut my throat and be the Emperor.
Linel's unjoking words brought a smile back to Zelda's face.
She was grateful for even those words.
"I'm sorry for worrying you. I think my hormones are starting to take over..."
"I like it. And you get jealous thanks to it."
Anything is fine.
Zelda nudged his chest back and narrowed her brows.
"I'm not joking. I'm saying that feelings that weren't there until yesterday are suddenly forming."
"It's something that only reacts to you anyway, so what are you worried about? At least be jealous sometimes."
She felt a soft, soapy sensation envelop her body.
He kissed the back of Zelda's hand and muttered softly.
"What if I get even more irritated and jealous over ridiculous things?"
"That's fine with me. Hit me. I'll take it all. But don't attack me with a fork like Moiya."
"I won't do that. What's in it for me..."
Finally, she burst into laughter.
“You worry so much.”
Knowing full well that he was crazy about her.
Linel laughed along and stroked her belly.
“When will this guy grow so big and come out?”
“Why? Are you waiting?”
“Then, he has to come out quickly so we can make love properly.”
Zelda gave a small, ‘I can’t help it,’ and then suddenly asked him, dipping both feet in the tub.
“Should I come in too?”
He coquettishly suggested that they were already halfway in, but then he intentionally wrapped his arms around himself and shivered.
“Yeah, it’s cold. You need to hold me.”
“Are you really cold? I don’t want my husband to catch a cold...”
Zelda carefully sat down on his thigh.
He kissed the back of Zelda's hand and muttered softly.
