IWAEBS - Chapter 157 < Come Out Here >

Bellos had been in a state of confusion ever since he arrived at the second villa.

Soon after being assigned a room here, a crow brought news from Aklatto Island.

Before he could untie the letter tied to the crow's foot, he saw blood on the outside of the letter and knew that something had happened to Logan.

The letter was written by Roxana, not Logan.

The letter started by saying that she needed the 'red potion' and ended by saying that if he wanted to make Empress Zelda his companion, he had to help her.

Cheekily, the contents of the letter were something that Bellos could not refuse.

From Bellos' perspective, it was actually a proposal that he could not lose.

If Bellos could use Roxana, it would be an opportunity to make Zelda his companion more easily and naturally.

Although the method was a bit messy, it was definitely the most effective method.

Bellos eventually wrote a letter allowing her to take the red potion.

He also warned that he didn’t know what side effects the artificially administered red potion would have, but Logan must have already told her that.

After sending the crow away, Bellos had the wizard Big bring Misha to his room.

Misha came to see him a while later.

“Misha, I’m sorry for asking you this.”

He was embarrassed.

Bellos dressed Misha’s wounds himself and spoke with difficulty.

“No, but... why do you need the servant’s dress?”

“I have something to do tonight.”

“...Tonight?”

Misha asked back with curious eyes.

The Magic Tower Lord realized that his words had been misunderstood and hurriedly said.

“Don’t think it’s strange.”

“No, my lord. I understand.”

“Understand? Understand what?”

“Oh, I meant respect.”

Why respect?

It seemed that Misha had misunderstood him.

“Respect what?”

“My Lord’s taste.”

“That’s not it... Haa, no. That’s enough.”

The Magic Tower Lord gave up on making excuses.

There was no time to tell Misha the truth, and even if there was time, it was something she couldn’t readily say.

“Anyway, I’ll bring the dress right away.”

“Yes, please, I’m in a bit of a hurry.”

“Oh, yes...”

Misha blinked in surprise, smiled slightly, and left.

Bellos realized belatedly that he had made another remark that could be misunderstood, grabbed his hair, and spoke nervously.

“This damned Princess!”

Roxana revisited the witch’s house.

The witch greeted her with a giggle, as if she had known she would come back.

“Did you receive the gold I sent?”

“Yes, I was waiting for you to come back because you sent more than the gold you promised. What can I help you with today, my lady?”

“I have to go to the continent again.”

The witch nodded and began preparing the necessary items for the teleportation technique.

Just like yesterday, she cut her long nails and Roxana’s hair, put them in a pot together, burned them, and poured the melted gold into it.

As the pot began to boil, Roxana quietly took off her clothes and accessories, and Nancy gathered them up beside her.

“Is it Emperor Linel this time?”

The witch asked, placing an amethyst necklace around Roxana’s neck that would allow her to return here.

“No, send me to the Magic Tower’s room.”

“Is that okay?”

The witch asked, glancing at her naked body.

“It’s okay. I have to pass through this person before I can meet the person I want to see.”

“Understood. Now, please close your eyes.”

The witch dipped a wooden stick deep into the pot of molten gold and drew a magic circle while reciting a spell.

When the hot feeling that started from her toes spread to her ankles, Roxana’s eyes, which had been closed, opened on their own.

“You’re here.”

The space changed.

As Roxana was about to look around, a displeased voice was heard from behind her.

“Please put on your clothes first.”

It was Bellos’ voice.

“Thank you. For closing your eyes and welcoming me.”

Roxana turned to Bellos, who was sitting with his arms folded on his chair and his eyes tightly shut.

“I didn’t know that the proud Princess would use teleportation to get naked. I left your clothes on the bed.”

“You asked Misha, I suppose.”

Roxana picked up the servant’s dress that was neatly folded on the bed.

“I brought it because I was misunderstood as having strange tastes, so please return it nicely when you leave.”

“Well, I don’t know if I’ll have the time to take off my clothes again when I disappear.”

“Oh, then I guess I’ll have to pay for the dress as well.”

Bellos said bluntly. He was really uncomfortable with this situation.

“Since it’s Misha’s clothes, I think I’ll give them to Kaline as a gift. She misses her granddaughter so much.”

Bellos waved his hand roughly as if to let Roxana do whatever she wanted.

Roxana, who was changing clothes while watching, noticed that the clothes were a bit too small for her, so she struggled to get them up halfway before approaching Bellos.

“Master, could you please pull this up?”

“For some reason, it seems like a favor that makes me want to keep my eyes closed.”

Bellos opened his eyes squintingly and met Roxana’s face first.

“It’s not pleasant to ask this favor after seeing you for the first time in six months.”

Roxana shrugged her shoulders with a somewhat awkward expression.

“Wasn’t it when you rejected me the last time you saw me?”

Bellos asked sarcastically, and Roxana’s eyes turned fierce.

However, her expression quickly relaxed.

“Until recently, I thought that all my current misfortunes started from the day the Lord of the Tower rejected my engagement, but I’ve changed my mind. Thanks to that, I think my life will be quite enjoyable from now on.”

“I didn’t know that Your Highness was so ambitious.”

“Now that you know, please help me. If I achieve my ambition, the Lord of the Tower will be able to take Empress Zelda as your companion, right?”

“I allowed you to take the red potion, but I haven’t decided yet whether or not to join hands with you on other plans.”

“Really? I think this is proof of that.”

When Roxana lifted the hem of her dress, Bellos couldn’t refute and kept his lips tightly shut.

Knock knock.

Roxana frowned at the sudden knock and whispered to Bellos.

“Who’s coming?”

“No.”

There was another knock and a voice outside the door.

“Your Majesty, the Empress.”

Bellos and Roxana looked at each other and opened their eyes wide.

“Now, please wait a moment!”

Bellos spoke to the door, then grabbed Roxana’s arm and spoke urgently.

“You’d better hide for now.”

“Where? There’s nowhere to hide here?”

“This way for now.”

Zelda wouldn’t be near the bed, so that would be the safest place.

Bellos led Roxana to the bed.

“Go in.”

“You’re telling me to... crawl under the bed right now?!”

Roxana jumped, glaring at Bellos’s finger pointing under the bed.

“It’s better than being misunderstood. Didn’t Your Highness want a normal meeting with the Empress, not this kind of meeting?”

Since he was right, Roxana had no choice but to follow Bellos’s words.

She went under the bed and curled up.

Fortunately, the bed skirt was about 5cm above the floor, so if she pressed her side face against the floor, shr could see the situation outside the bed to some extent.

After confirming that Roxana was far away from the bed and hiding under the bed, Bellos opened the door.

“Am I here when you are busy?”

Zelda asked, looking into Bellos’ room.

“Oh, no, Your Majesty.”

Zelda was with Rosie outside the door.

It was a little disappointing, but it was better than her coming with Emperor Linel.

“Please come in.”

“I came to ask you something. I was thinking of going to Wizard Big, but I thought it would be easier to talk to the Lord of the Tower.”

Zelda spoke as soon as she sat down on the chair. Bellos removed the first part of Zelda’s words and smiled shyly, recalling only the last part, “It’s easier for the Lord of the Tower.”

Then he stopped laughing at Rosie’s gaze, which seemed to be looking at him strangely.

Rosie was holding a cat in her arms again today.

“Yes, please speak comfortably, Your Majesty, the Empress.”

Said Bellos, sitting across from Zelda.

“It’s not time to take a magic potion yet... but the burn area felt hot 30 minutes ago. Usually, it happens when it’s close to the time to take a potion.”

After making love to Linel, she was about to go to bed early when she felt a strong heat from the burn scar on her right side.

Zelda told Linel that she would go to Rosie’s room for a moment and discuss the symptoms with her before coming to the magic tower lord together.

“If the energy of fire begins to manifest in earnest, the symptoms of heat may be brought forward.”

“We’re still far from the Tebello Empire. What if we run out of potions?”

Zelda’s worry was clearly visible in her pink eyes.

“If that doesn’t work out, we’ll have to go ahead or think of another way.”

In fact, obtaining the ‘Yakante’ herb in the Tebello Empire wasn’t that difficult for Bellos.

However, he couldn’t speak properly to Zelda because he was worried about Roxana listening to this conversation.

To be honest, he might have been holding back his words because he wanted to use Zelda’s anxiety to make her rely on him more, rather than reassure her.

“So, have you taken the potion?”

Zelda shook her head.

Zelda placed the magic potion bottle she had brought just in case on the table.

“Not yet. I think it would be better to decide after consulting with the Lord of the Tower.”

“That’s a magic potion.”

Roxana, who was eavesdropping on the conversation between the two from under the bed, caught sight of the potion bottle on the table. It seemed that Empress Zelda was relying on Bellos quite a bit.

Roxana felt a sense of kinship with Zelda.

Her situation of applying healing water to her back and drinking it was quite similar to that of Empress Zelda.

According to Logan, before the energy of fire was properly expressed, her body would feel hot and painful like a ball of fire at any given time.

She thought that it might be similar to the pain she felt when pouring healing water on her wounds that had split open after being whipped.

It felt like being burned.

Just as Empress Zelda would show burn scars if she didn’t drink magic potions regularly, Roxana’s wounds were the same.

If she didn’t drink healing water regularly, terrible scars would appear on her back.

One time, she was curious about the marks of the whip that must have been engraved on her back, so she didn’t drink healing water.

Roxana, who saw the scars engraved on her back through the mirror, abstained from eating or drinking all day.

Just looking at the scars, they were worse than those of most slaves.

It was a horrifying sight that would make anyone frown.

While Roxana was lost in thought, comparing the misfortunes of Empress Zelda to her own,

“Meow? (That’s not Misha?)”

Aoshi came under the bed.

Aoshi, who was in Rosie’s arms, came down to the floor and wandered around, smelling Misha’s scent and coming under the bed.

However, Aoshi, who found Roxana, looked at her with a bewildered expression.

Roxana was startled by the kitten that suddenly appeared, so she raised her head without realizing it and banged her head against the wooden boards of the bed.

The sound of the bang was quite loud.

“What are you talking about, Aoshi?”

At Rosie’s voice, Roxana looked at Aoshi and gestured for him to quickly get out of bed.

“Meow? (Who are you, wearing Misha’s clothes?)”

Aoshi came out of bed with the hem of her dress in his mouth.

Everyone gasped at the black hem of her skirt sticking out of the bed.

“That... is that?”

Zelda pointed her finger under the bed and asked,

“Ah, it’s nothing!”

Bellos quickly turned away from the bed with an embarrassed expression, blocking Zelda and Rosie’s view.

“Ah!”

Bellos’s excuse was rendered meaningless when Roxana’s single scream was heard from under the bed.

When Roxana grabbed the hem of her skirt with her hand, Aoshi got annoyed and bit her hand.

“It doesn’t seem like it’s nothing, does it?”

Zelda pushed Bellos aside.

Her strength was so strong that Bellos lost his balance, staggered, and fell to the floor.

When Zelda looked down with an apologetic expression, Bellos forgot that he had fallen and jumped up again, shouting, “It’s really nothing!”

“Aoshi, who did you bite? Come here.”

At Rosie’s command, Aoshi let go of her skirt and ran to Rosie.

The skirt that had been hanging out of the bed was slowly disappearing under the bed again.

Zelda watched the scene quietly, then sat down on the floor in front of the bed and said,

“You are already surrounded. Come out here.”
