TCIWTFY - Part 2 Chapter 124

"I, I..."

Then he saw Medea coming out.

'Medea.'

Perhaps she heard his faint voice leaking out of his mouth. Medea looked up.

Jason stepped towards her without realizing it.

But the moment her green eyes caught him, Jason came to a standstill.

The flame in her insensitive green eyes was directed at Jason.

Even though she didn't say a word, Jason felt ashamed as if a whip was slashing at him.

No matter what excuse it is, Jason knows too well that he cannot escape his mistakes.

Plop.

He fell to his knees as if he were about to collapse.

'Where did I go wrong, where can I turn back?'

No matter how much he rationalizes it, he tries to deny that nothing is impossible in front of the water that has already been spilled.

"Medea, what about me... Me too..."

However, he still had to explain.

Why did I have to do that? Why did I have to do it?

He reached out.

In what seemed like an eternity, Medea's eyes widened.

Her eyes were diverted.

Her shaky green eyes were directed at Jason, but they were out of focus, as if she were looking at something else.

Then, as if her body had lost strength, she staggered and lost consciousness.

"Your Highness!"

"Medea!"

Before Jason could move in surprise, a hard hand snatched her first.

It was Cesare.

He grabbed the crumbling Medea and pulled her into his arms.

Like an agile leopard, he pulled out flexibly.

He kept a distance so that not a single fingertip or shadow could reach her.

Completely concealed by his sturdy stature, all he could see was a handful of silver hair.

At that moment, Jason looked mesmerized.

The sight of Cesare embracing Medea without any gaps shocked him more than when he watched their wedding.

With a face full of anger and helplessness, Jason raised his bloodshot eyes.

"Get out of the way, shouldn't you look at the condition first? What are you trying to do dangerously..."

"Put it away."

Cesare gave orders to his men behind him with an expressionless face.

He quietly picked up Medea.

Sparks flew from his eyes.

"Let go! Let it go! I need to see Medea! It's my responsibility, it's because of me! If Medea has lost her mind, it means that her feelings for me haven't completely disappeared yet!"

There was a ray of hope in his eyes, swirling with shame and anguish.

'The opposite of love is not hate. It's indifferent. Dea, you're still in love with me.'

The moment the reality of his past life was revealed, Medea lost consciousness in front of him.

That violent reaction is clear proof that she is still being shaken by him.

"You don't know anything!"

The moment Jason shouted, Cesare, who was walking briskly with Medea, stopped walking.

"You don't know, you don't dare to cut the tough bond between us."

"What are you waiting for, Gallo?"

Cesare turned his shoulder.

"Are you going to let him bark?"

His tone was as drowsy as usual, but Gallo realized that he was standing on the edge of the story.

"Yes? Uh, you know, you know! Leave it to me!"

"Let go! Let it go! Medea! I need to be by her side! I will make her-ugh!"

Jason tried to follow Cesare, but was caught by Cesare's men.

"Why is our Grand Duke doing this these days? Have you given up wanting to live for a long time? I forget all the days when I was suffocating under the water, and I don't even notice you anymore."

"Ugh!"

"If you're going to bark, you should clean your neck."

Gallo shoved a handkerchief into Jason as he writhed.

The blade he pulled out of his bosom flashed in the darkness.

A chill that didn't match his open eyes made Jason pause.

"Shhh, I think we have a lot of things piled up on each other, so let's not make a noise. You can't let the sound of pigs clucking ring in the sacred temple."

Jason had to watch his wife walk away in the arms of another man with his mouth shut in shame.

Central Shrine, the residence of Prince Katzen.

Terrence pulled himself to his feet. In his hand were vials and rags.

"There is some energy colliding in her body. The Princess is not sick. However, I think it's a side effect of her body not being able to adapt to it because of the unfamiliar energy."

On the bed where he stood, Medea lay with her eyes closed.

"It's not magic. It's hard to say for sure because it's a divine power."

Terence was also present in the Judgment Room, where it was revealed that Medea was the hidden Saintess of the Holy Kingdom.

However, it is not called the power of a saint...

"There's a strange energy mixed in there. It's not the flow of holy power that I'm used to... But it's hard for me to figure out exactly what it is. I don't know if it's my master...'

Cesare frowned slightly.

Terence's teacher, Magic Tower Lord, returned to Magic Tower immediately after the wedding.

"He rarely leaves the tower, but since he hasn't walked outside in a long time, he won't come out again for a while."

At that moment, there was a commotion outside the door.

Soon, the door opened, revealing Peleus and Valdina's group.

As soon as Peleus saw his sister lying on the bed, he strode over to her.

"Why is Dea like this?"

There was a faint smell of blood from him.

He had just captured the warlocks who had managed to escape from the central temple.

"I caught a fake Saintess, but why did this happen again? What does it mean that the holy relic showed Dea?"

"Calm down, Your Majesty. It seems that the power in Her Highness the Princess's body has temporarily exploded."

Terrence calmly explained what had happened.

A series of events and the mixed energy in Medea's body.

"This is a symptom similar to the mana runaway that a knight experiences when awakening an auror. Fortunately, judging from the flow and nature of the energy, it does not seem to be intended to harm Her Highness."

"Hah..."

Peleus pressed his forehead and squeezed his eyes shut.

'Why doesn't this child have a peaceful day?'

When she finally found out the fake Saintess, a mysterious energy engulfed Medea.

He just felt sorry for his sister, who was lying pale.

"...Why did the 1st Prince allow the situation to get to this point?"

Then, he heard a voice from behind him.

"We left Her Highness the Princess because we believed that the First Prince would protect our Highness safely. However, in less than half a day, Her Highness is here."

The light from the low lamp reflected off the outer glasses. Because of that, he couldn't see the expression of the person who was speaking.

The ice-cold and harsh criticism continued.

"The bold promises you made have been shattered here in the Holy Kingdom. Will our Highness be safe in Katzen?"

"Lord Sissair."

"If you had shown me this earlier, this marriage would not have taken place. But I wonder why you hid it until the end."

Even Peleus looked back at Sissair in surprise.

Whatever the situation, je didn't expect that Sissair, who uses cool reason as a virtue, would drive a foreign country, even the imperial family, to such a degree.

"Are you hiding your true intentions, or do you mean that you will take off your face and hypocrisy now that you have completed the ceremony?"

"Sir, aren't you talking too harshly? Do you think that His Highness the First Prince is a god? Could we have predicted Her Highness the Princess's awakening?"

Sissair's colorful accusations made even the decent Terence angry.

"Should we blame His Highness the First Prince's notorious fate? Since all those who are close to him have passed away, has that ominous aura been transferred to Her Highness?"

The air in the room froze sharply. Terence glared at Sissair

"Prime Minister Sissair. The alliance and solidarity we sought with Valdina did not mean that we would tolerate insults to my lord."

But Sissair wasn't looking at Terence. He was looking at Cesare.

"I don't know. One person's sincerity doesn't always come back at the same price. Is that so, Your Highness, the First Prince?"

His voice was calm, but he couldn't hide the sharpened hostility inside.

"...I think you have a lot to say."

The First Prince's golden eye met the stares of Sissair and briefly brushed Medea.

"Let's go out and talk."

Stopping Terrence from following with a nod, Cesare turned around.

The cold air in the hallway fell heavily.

The place where the two men stood opposite each other was even more chilly.

"Is there anything you would like to share with me, Your Highness the First Prince?"

The vivid sneer in his calm tone spread through the dark air.
