IWAEBS - Chapter 124 < Master of Dance >

“Moiya, didn’t I clearly say that you can’t do that just now?”

I quickly blurted out the words.

“Did you hear that?”

Linel rested his chin on the table and looked at Moiya as if he was trying to cheer him up.

“Tell her to go to sleep. Tell her, quickly.”

Moiya made threats to him disguised as a request.

“Your master said no, so why are you asking me?”

“Ugh, what a cold-hearted person. Not only is your body cold, but your heart is also cold!”

Moiya turned around and came towards me again.

“Only the master’s permission is required.”

“...?”

Moiya interpreted Linel's words as he pleased. When I looked at him, he nodded.

“Yee, just for today. I have to go tomorrow morning.”

“Oh yeah, I almost started spitting fire again because I was so excited!”

Moiya, who had to spend the night in the main palace bedroom, danced on the table, shaking his shoulders wildly in excitement. Where have I seen that dance... That’s right! Isn’t that the dance that Rosie danced to Prince Norton at the banquet party?

“Does Rosie teach you how to dance?”

Finally, I couldn't hold back my curiosity and asked Moiya.

“I taught it to Rosie. Would you like to learn it today, too, Master?”

“...No, I’m fine. Sharon seems to want to learn.”

I pointed to Sharon, who was giggling beside Moiya. Sharon was startled and waved her hand to open her mouth, but Moiya struck first.

“Just don’t teach me.”

Moiya held out his palm to Sharon.

“What, what did you say?”

“Bring me the sausages and I’ll tell you.”

The master of that bizarre dance that Rosie performed at the banquet hall was him.

“I guess you’re hungry.”

As Linel spoke with a smile, Moiya turned to him and answered in a sad voice.

“Yeah, I only ate five meals today.”

“Bring it to him.”

He said, winking at Sharon.

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

As Sharon got up from her chair and walked towards the bedroom door, Moiya shouted.

“Don’t bake it, eat it raw!”

“Oh, do you like it unbaked?”

When Linel asked, Moiya shook his head and chuckled.

“Grill it myself. I’m the best at grilling sausages in the world.”

“Sharon, bring plenty. Let’s all try some of the sausages Wyvern is grilling.”

“Your Majesty, are you serious?”

I asked, bursting into laughter.

“Completely.”

“Huh, who’s going to bake it for you?”

Moiya glanced at him as he spoke sharply. Then Linel knocked on the table and spoke to Moiya as if questioning him.

“Hey, I’m letting you stay here for a day, so you have to clean up after yourself. Don’t you think? Strictly speaking, all the sausages you’ve been eating are mine.”

Moiya quickly acknowledged his serious voice and asked about his tastes.

“That’s right. Medium? Well done? How would you like it cooked?”

“I am well done.”

Raphael raised his hand and interjected.

“There’s another one like you here.”

Moiya shook his head, glancing at Raphael in annoyance. A moment later, Sharon came into the bedroom carrying a tray. The plate she placed on the table was filled with various kinds of sausages.

Kwaa, Kwaaak-!

Moiya picked up one sausage with a face full of happiness and blew fire. Although it was still a baby, the fire was quite strong as it was a wyvern. Everyone opened their eyes wide and watched in wonder as the sausages were cooked by the fire coming out of Moiya’s mouth.

“If you make some cuts in the sausage, it will cook evenly.”

At Sharon's suggestion, Linel raised the dagger he was holding and dragged the tray towards him.

“Your Majesty! I will do it.”

Then Sharon quickly reached for the plate.

“No. I will do it myself.”

Linel began to slit the sausages himself. Moiya handed me the first sausage he had cooked and said to him,

“Your Majesty, you’re not only good at cutting people’s heads, you’re also good at cutting sausages?”

“...Thank you for the compliment.”

“I’ll pat your head when we become closer. Don’t expect that already.”

Linel looked dumbfounded for a moment, then quickly raised the corners of his mouth and responded.

“Yeah, you shouldn’t even want to sleep on the bed anymore.”

At his words, Moiya covered his mouth and shuddered.

“You’re really cold-blooded, Moiya..”

“Have you met her? What did she say? Is she pregnant?”

As soon as Prince Tesla returned to his villa, Princess Resilia, who had been waiting in his room, began to ask him questions.

“Resil, don’t bring that up again.”

“Oh, that’s right? What are we going to do now? If they find out she’s pregnant during the hunting competition...!”

“That won’t happen.”

Prince Tesla said bluntly.

“Today in the reception room, Pecilini was vomiting, and everyone was whispering that it was morning sickness. Men may not know this, but do you know how sensitive women are? On top of that, her belly will gradually swell.”

“We need to do something before that.”

"What do you mean?"

“Why are you asking when you already know? I was worried about how to sort things out later, but it turned out well. It’s not strange for one or two people to die during the hunting season.”

Prince Tesla said, recalling Pecilini stroking her belly.

“That was the case for the lower classes. Were there any cases where royalty or nobles died during hunting competitions?”

“It didn’t exist? Then it will happen this time.”

Prince Tesla shrugged and said without hesitation. Knock, knock. With a cautious knock, Sir Ken entered the room.

“The Princess happened to be there too.”

Ken approached the siblings after giving them a brief bow.

“So, did you find out where Rams is?”

Prince Tesla asked in an expectant voice. The Princess was also curious about her son's whereabouts.

“I’m sorry, but by the time the Assassination Guild found his location, he was already gone.”

“What, what? Where is he going?”

“Fortunately, the leader of the Assassination Guild found the nanny that Prince Norton had hired.”

“Tell them to tear off the nanny’s limbs and find out where Rams was taken.”

“According to what I found out by questioning the nanny, the Prince himself took him away a while ago.”

“Norton, all of a sudden?”

Princess Resilia rolled her big eyes and frowned.

“Yes, maybe he sensed something and made the first move?”

Prince Tesla chewed his lip and swore at Ken's words.

“Damn, how do he know what we’re doing?”

Prince Tesla, who had been mumbling seriously, looked at his younger sister with displeasure.

“I think it’s because of you, Resil.”

“What? Why me?”

“You were talking nonsense to Norton, right? So he suspected something and took the kid away?”

“What are you saying right now? I’m Rams’s mom. Can’t I even say that I want to see the kid? Can’t I even ask where he’s been taken? What’s so suspicious about that that you’re taking the kid somewhere else, exactly!”

Princess Resilia screamed and ran wild.

“You just gave birth to it, but you don’t have any affection for it. If you abandoned it once, how can you not abandon it a second time? Even if I were Norton, I would have moved the child to a safer place just in case.”

Prince Tesla also raised his voice just like his sister.

“So you’re saying that Norton hid Rams somewhere else because of me?”

Princess Resilia lowered her voice compared to before, but her tone was still nervous.

“Otherwise, why would he do that all of a sudden? After all, after he came to the Lapion Empire, he moved the child somewhere else.”

Prince Tesla had no idea that the day he was drinking with Archduke Martins, the Archduke would relay to Prince Norton the order he had given him that day to eliminate Rams.

“Well, that’s true, but...”

“Tsk tsk, Norton doesn’t trust you.”

Prince Tesla concluded as such. Princess Resilia could not refute him and just snorted in frustration.

'Norton... You don't trust me and you took Rams away...?!'

He wasn't the same Norton as before. He was initially harsh to her when they met again at the Lapion palace, but he eventually broke down in front of the bed.

'What on earth is Norton thinking?'

Princess Resilia couldn't understand.

“It seems like the position of Empress of the Lapion Empire is over, so let’s roast that Norton. Emperor Linel changed the destination of the hunting competition this time, so it’s a good opportunity for us. We have to seize this opportunity.”

A smile crept onto Prince Tesla's face again.

“Why did he change the destination? Why is that an opportunity for us?”

“After finishing the hunting competition in the Tebello Empire, everyone moved to the Pasha Empire to instigate the wedding of Prince Calvein and his wife.”

“You think the wedding of the Prince and his wife is an opportunity for us?”

“Yes, I plan to win over the ministers who oppose Prince Calvein’s marriage.”

“Why, Brother? You should be helping Prince Calvein’s faction instead!”

The Prince laughed heartily and shook his head at Princess Resilia's words.

“I’ll lay the groundwork in advance to turn to Prince Norton. On the surface, I’ll pretend to support the Emperor’s coronation, but later, I’ll make the opposition party, led by Rams, advocate dethroning the Empress who killed his older brother and who cannot continue the lineage.”

Prince Tesla's eyes sparkled greedily as he talked about the plan.

“Hohoho, when did you even think of that? You’re amazing, my brother.”

The Princess was so impressed by Prince Tesla's plan that she applauded and laughed.

“So you, take good care of Prince Norton. Stop nagging him about where the child is, and show him your affection for Rams.”

“No problem. Just cry a few times in front of Norton, and his suspicions will be cleared up.”

“Yes, since Princess Jasper can’t have children anyway, all you have to do is make up your mind about that bastard Norton.”

Prince Tesla placed both hands on his sister's shoulders and spoke in a confident tone.

“I have to meet Norton tomorrow and let him know what a maternal mother I am.”

“Yes, do your best. You can become an Empress too.”

Prince Tesla encouraged his younger sister.

“But where did Rams move to?”

“What do you care? Now, all I need is for Rams to be safe.”

Prince Tesla spoke like a completely different person than he had a few days ago when he had ordered Rams to be killed.

“Oh, by the way. Will Zelda just leave it like that? It’s really annoying. How can a woman who is worse than my servant be so powerful when she’s snapping at me...”

Princess Resilia's voice rose again.

“If she keeps doing that and has a child, she’ll be even more arrogant. How can you look at that?”

“Hahaha, no matter how much the Emperor loves Zelda day and night, it’s all in vain.”

Prince Tesla motioned for Sir Ken to bring some wine and made a meaningful remark to the Princess.

“So, don’t waste your energy on useless things and prepare to become the future Empress of the Pasha Empire.”

“What do you mean? Nonsense? Are you talking about the birth control pills in the magic potion? They’re temporary.”

“Resil, the truth is...”

As Prince Tesla whispered something to Princess Resilia, who was grumbling, the Princess smiled broadly.

"Really?"

*** .

The next morning.

“Did you sleep well?”

I kissed his forehead as he woke up and asked,

“Yeah, but I woke up every now and then because of a baby wyvern looking for its master.”

“You must be tired.”

“It’s okay. Did you sleep well, Master?”

Linel asked, imitating Moiya's tone of voice.

“I was a little upset.”

“Is it because of me or Moiya?”

Linel sat up and asked.

“Just...”

"Just?"

He put his arm around my shoulder and leaned against the headboard of the bed, then burst out laughing as he looked at Moiya sleeping, sprawled out on the edge of the bed.

“Huh? You’re not even a puppy. Why are you sleeping right under our feet?”

“Moiya seems comfortable here.”

“Would a wyvern in this world feel uncomfortable if he thought everyone else was beneath him except his master?”

I laughed, sympathizing with what he said.

“But what do we do from now on?”

"What?"

“I am worried that Your Majesty might get into trouble because of Moiya, no, because of me. What if the Lapion Empire becomes an enemy of other countries...”

“The odds are not high.”

He looked at Moiya blankly, continuing what I had been unable to finish.

“Don’t worry. No one can attack you, I won’t let that happen.”

He seemed to be trying to reassure me as he saw my anxious expression.

“But I’m a little scared.”

Not only the wyvern problem, but my unwanted fire powers were also growing.

“I’m always by your side.”

At Linel's words, I suddenly remembered last night's dream. I was walking into the fire. When Linel grabbed my arm, his hand shattered like glass. It was as if we were meant to be together. Even after waking up from the dream, that feeling was vivid. Was it just a nightmare?

I closed my eyes in his arms. I wanted to erase last night's dream quickly. As I closed my eyes and listened to his heartbeat, my heart seemed to calm down again, but it didn't seem like the dream would be forgotten.

“Haaam! I had trouble sleeping because of Rams, but I finally slept well, Moiya~.”

Moiya lifted both legs up into the air, then stretched them out to the side as if stretching and yawned.

“That’s strange. Humans stretch their arms, but wyverns spread their legs?”

“That's what I'm saying."

We burst out laughing at Moiya. Knock knock.

“Your Majesty, I have something urgent to tell you!”

Raphael's voice was heard from outside the bedroom door. Linel walked to the bedroom door and opened it himself.

“What’s going on this morning?”

“Yes, there is a distinguished guest who has requested an audience since morning. He has also requested to see Her Majesty the Empress.”

“Even the Empress?”

He turned to me and asked Raphael.

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“What’s going on? Who is one of the guests?”

“The guest of honor staying at the Star Palace is not...”

“Then is he the High Priest?”

When Linel asked with an annoyed expression, Raphael shook his head.

“The lord of the Aklatto Island, Bellos Brodian, has come to visit.”

“...Who is coming?”
