MWTB - Chapter 96

"How is this possible?"

Boris looked at the vial with a bewildered face.

He still seemed in disbelief, even though the lab had already finished testing them and he had brought back a few samples for reporting.

"You're making a potion with magic power? And you're not even using magic, you're using pure magic power!"

Boris spoke quickly, excited.

"These potions are all filled with magical water. They may not be much, but they contain only pure magical power!"

"Oh, that's a trade secret!"

Adele cried out in tears. Julia, who was listening to the results, blinked in surprise.

"So you knew? That I was a wizard."

"Huh. No, no! I'm not a wizard!"

Adele waved her hands urgently.

Julia brought Adele to the Queen's palace as if she were kidnapping her, but she untied her. She didn't resist much, even though her hands were tied when she was brought in, and above all, she didn't think about using magic.

"I don't know how to use magic. I just knew that I had some kind of magical ability in my powers since I was little, and I used them to make a living, just a little bit!"

"In terms of quantity, it doesn't seem like 'a little'."

Endymion pointed out as he handed over the documents. They were the results of the reagent analysis that Boris had quickly compiled.

Adele rolled her eyes nervously at the sudden appearance of the stranger.

"So does that mean you're concluding that she's an unregistered wizard?"

Julia nodded.

"I think so. I saw the scene where she used magic to create these potions."

"No! Ma'am, that's not true!"

Adele screamed in surprise. She had been blindfolded for a moment when she was tied up, so she didn't realize that she was in the palace.

"If I were a wizard, I would have gone to the Magic Tower long ago! But I've never been called that way before."

Adele was still in a state of panic, but desperately defended herself in case something went wrong.

"Madam, what did I do wrong? I'm not going to be punished, am I? I really didn't know! I've been using that power since I was little, and it's never caused any problems!"

Adele was completely out of her mind when the bolt from the blue struck her.

Adele discovered that she had a strange power when she was about seven years old. It wasn't anything great, but strangely enough, she could cure minor illnesses and psychological problems.

It was when she was fifteen that shr realized that she could dissolve it in water and make medicine.

Of course, as time went by, she began to notice that it was a power similar to magic. But she desperately kept her eyes clouded and pretended not to notice.

"I just dreamed of having my own home where I could live happily ever after with my bear-like husband!"

What can you do with a talent for business? On top of that, you don't even need to spend money on materials, and you can make a lot of money. Who wouldn't use that?

Adele made an earnest expression. Endymion crossed his arms without changing his expression, and Julia asked with curious eyes.

"You've been selling medicine all over Semele for quite some time, right?"

"Hic. That's..."

These guys, Information is so fast, right?

Adele, who quickly understood the situation, began to speak honestly.

"That's right. I've been in the drug business for 7 years. I've exaggerated a bit, but I've never cheated. It's true! These drugs are temporary and weak, but they definitely work."

Julia agreed. She had actually seen minor wounds heal earlier.

"Would you like me to show you properly? I want to confirm whether it is truly the power of pure magic and not magic as you say."

As Julia nodded, Boris ran over and set the table. Adele hesitated, but then obediently placed her hand on the small basin that had been prepared. And.

Pong.

The light pink magic spread like paint. Soon, the water in the small basin changed into the potion Julia had seen earlier.

"Here it is. It's a wound healing medicine like before."

There was a sizzling sound as the smoke cleared. Adele's face looked exhausted as if she had gathered all her strength.

Julia jabbed her finger into the brooch without hesitation while the two men carefully examined the potion.

"Where."

"Julia!"

Endymion frowned when he discovered her reckless behavior. However, Julia, overcome by curiosity, quickly put her bloody finger into the potion.

"Wow, that's true."

As soon as her fingers touched the pink liquid, they were completely healed.

Endymion, who was a step behind, quickly and carefully wrapped her hand in a handkerchief. But Julia didn't even look at him, and her eyes sparkled.

"But it's a bit strange. When you use magic, the magical power should move, but instead, its presence has disappeared."

"What do you mean? I clearly used magic just now."

Boris asked with a look of incomprehension on his face.

"Yes. But feel it. Do you feel the trace of magic now?"

Julia pointed to Adele and the potion. Boris looked back and forth between the two, then became confused.

"Come to think of it... Huh... What, what is it? Why did my magic disappear?!"

Adele, who did not know anything, looked back and forth between Julia and Boris. Endymion, who had been silent, narrowed his eyebrows and asked Adel.

"How long exactly has it been since you used this power?"

"That I first used it when I was 7. One of my friends was sick, and I think I started using it as soon as I realized the effects. I started making medicine in earnest when I was 15, so it's been about 8 years."

Adele answered honestly, recalling her memories. She wanted to look good and get out safely.

Even at first glance, they were different people, from their clothes to their speech and even their atmosphere. She was scared when she was dragged in, but now that she looked at them, they didn't seem to have any hostility. The woman even seemed very interested in her.

'It's even better if you get new customers!'

The medicine is selling like hotcakes to the common people, but it is not yet available to the nobles. They are uncomfortable with trying medicine of unknown origin. So the amount of money they can earn is always limited.

In a way, now was the perfect time to expand their sales market.

'If you think about it, it actually turned out better, right?'

Adele's eyes, which had been briefly intimidated, brightened up.

Ys. I have to look good here and catch a big fish!

"So that means I used my magic power for a total of 16 years."

Endymion muttered, crossing his arms. Julia, who was holding Adele's wrist and feeling the flow of magic, tilted her head.

"It's been so long, and you haven't been discovered by the magic tower in all that time?"

"Wow, that's strange. The Magic Tower is losing the flow of magic power! That can't be happening."

Boris was extremely embarrassed. However, he had no choice but to admit that the woman who was using magic right in front of him was not a normal magician.

Boris got up in a hurry, saying that he would report to the tower right away. Adele grabbed the hem of his clothes with a furious expression.

"No! I have to earn more money!"

"What, what is it? Let go of it!"

"My money! I can't let you go until you promise not to tell anyone!"

Two wizards, no, a wizard and a mutant woman, began to argue. Endymion glared at them as if he were annoyed, and they sat down awkwardly next to each other on the sofa.

"Julia. You said that woman seemed to drain her magical power, not her magic?"

As Julia pondered what to do, Endymion asked softly. Julia nodded.

"Yeah. In terms of magical power, she's a bit lower than Boris. Then she should have noticed that Boris was a wizard, but she didn't know until she saw him. And since she put magical power into the water, the magical power in her body was reduced."

The magic of a wizard is a never-ending spring. As long as life is not in danger, it always maintains a certain amount of innate power.

However, upon verification, Adele's magic power disappeared cleanly as soon as it was used. It did fill up, but it seemed to happen very slowly.

"I see. It seems like the Magic Tower didn't notice her presence because she had been steadily draining her magical power since the moment she woke up."

Endymion spoke as he examined Adele as if analyzing her. His purple eyes widened slightly, and he looked surprised.

"Really? It's the same condition as when I wore the ring."

The only difference was that she hid it, and Adele drained it all herself.

It seemed possible because Adele's constitution was different from that of an ordinary magician. Boris also agreed with Endymion's opinion, saying that he had never heard of such a case.

"It's amazing. It's a magical power that is used without a trace, and it's a magical power that instinctively carries out its purpose without any formulas..."

Julia's eyes sparkled.

It's a power that's not magic, but rather magical. So, it's a power that you can't tell what it is until you see it with your own eyes. She had a feeling that it would be interesting to use.

"You said Adele? Could you stay here for a while and show me how to do it?"

"Oh. But I have a sales schedule somewhere else..."

Adele hesitated while making an expression that said she was alive. She couldn't refuse directly, but she seemed reluctant.

"And I'm sorry, but above all, this requires sufficient strength. Of course, I absolutely do not disrespect Madam..."

Whirl!

Before Adele could finish speaking, a golden breeze swept over Julia. And then Julia, who quickly returned to her original face, smiled brightly.

"I forgot to mention the illusory magic. What did you say earlier?"

Oh, it's magic. A real wizard!

Adele was flustered and dazed. In the meantime, Endymion, whose hands and feet were in sync, naturally stepped in.

"If you sell all the medicine, how much will you earn in a month?"

"Huh? Oh, um, about 250 ranion."

"I'll give you ten times more."

"Where is my room, Sir?"

Adele smiled brightly as a gold coin flashed across her eyes. It was the honest, all-powerful smile of a god-lover.

"Haha, how long should I stay? I'll contact my business partner and coordinate the schedule!"

An excited Adele was excited to postpone her local sales trip, and Julia followed suit, taking advantage of the educational opportunity.

"Let's discuss that together. First, I want to learn how to expend magical power..."

Then Adele, who had received the bag back, tilted her head.

"Um, ma'am? I've been a little confused since earlier. When you say magic drain, you mean the way I make potions, right?"

"Yes, that's correct."

Julia nodded. Then Adele glanced at Endymion, who had stepped aside after completing his role and was silently looking at other documents.

"But you're already using it?"

"Yes?"

"Madam, your magic is golden, right? It appeared when you changed your face earlier. I didn't know what it was until just now, so I was still... But now I think I know. Your magic is entering that person right now."

Adele pointed to Endymion. Julia tilted her head.

"I think you've seen something wrong. I'm not using magic right now."

Julia thought Adele was mistaken and said it was nothing serious. A low-level wizard can't sense the power of a high-level wizard.

"No. That man's lime-green power is still. But the woman's golden power flows like a river, constantly flowing toward him."

However, Adele mentioned the exact color of Boris's magic, even though she had never seen Boris use magic.

"Huh. Sometimes, some wizards specialize in magical power itself. Maybe that's the case? Oh, but..."

Boris, who had been looking at Adele with interest, rolled his eyes a little too late.

"Her Majesty's magical power continues to flow into His Majesty?!"
