MWTB - Chapter 63

Julia smiled thoughtlessly until her senses returned to normal.

The half-lowered black eyelashes were a beautiful sight, blending with the fatness. Those seductive eyes whispered like a song.

"I taught you to be tense in times like this."

Julia swallowed dryly without realizing it. But she was embarrassed that she had gotten really nervous, just like Endymion had said, so she let out a sigh.

"I'm not nervous...!"

Sigh...

Julia took a deep breath. She was so surprised by the light touch on her lips that she almost bit her teeth. Endymion was watching her reaction with sparkling eyes.

Her heart pounded so hard it hurt at that earnest gaze. But Julia opened her mouth as if nothing had happened.

"You. Who gives a shit about kissing someone?"

"Ah. So you don't get nervous about things like this anymore?"

“That’s right.”

Julia lifted her chin, pretending to be proud. She clenched her hands behind her back to hide her tingling sensation. But Endymion knew all along, but he smiled arrogantly as if he was being fooled.

"Then if I kiss you, you'll be nervous?"

What, what are you talking about? For example

"How can you be in such a bright place... No, that's not it. I said we'd only be skinship until you fix your attitude."

Julia, her eyes wide, shook her head urgently.

Julia spoke forcefully, fearing that things might just be hushed up. Then Endymion raised his firm hand and gently stroked her cheek.

"I reconciled with the magician."

"..."

“Our relationship has gotten better.”

Julia's purple eyes began to conflict. She knew that Endymion was flirting, but the argument sounded quite plausible, so she was swayed.

Julia can see that his attitude has definitely changed since he started taking care of Boris. Then, as a reward, she will give him one.

“I want to kiss you.”

Endymion tilted his head and whispered. For a man, his long eyelashes were drawn and his gaze was warm.

Julia finally muttered, possessed not by magic but by her husband.

"...Just this once."

“Yes, Ma’am.”

The tone was light, but the voice was slightly subdued. Endymion answered quickly and bent his upper body.

Julia closed her eyes, feeling her cheeks flush as the firm hand gently cupped her face.

And when their breaths became intertwined and their lips were about to touch.

Rustle!

"Hick."

Julia was startled by the sound and pushed Endymion away. His sturdy body was pushed reluctantly, and he looked dissatisfied.

Julia quickly turned her head away, pressing her lips that had only just brushed against his with the back of her hand.

“Boris... Huh?”

A girl with round eyes was staring up at them. She heard a noise and thought it was Boris, but it wasn't.

'Thank goodness I didn't get caught.'

Instead, the atmosphere she had worked so hard to maintain disappeared, but Julia sighed lightly, feeling a sense of relief mixed with a faint sense of regret.

“You’re a kid.”

Endymion muttered in an uncomfortable voice.

Julia laughed at that and bit her lower lip for no reason. Then she cleared her throat and spoke softly.

"Hello. What's your name?"

"Hello, my name is Pal."

A girl with brown hair often tied in two pigtails answered. Judging from her appearance and voice, she seemed to be about seven years old.

"Hello, I'm Julia. How did you get here?"

“Hmm? Walk.”

She answered every question correctly, but her answers were completely out of the blue. Julia smiled and lowered her eyes to her level.

"Well, I mean, how did you get here?"

There's nothing around here, so where did she come from?

“I live here?”

Endymion looked down at the girl indifferently at her calm answer.

"I think you're a wizard."

It wasn't impossible, since the first time one realized one's powers was when one was young. Julia also nodded with an "Ah" as she realized that her first magical powers had been unleashed when she was five years old.

"I see. You're still young, and you're already a wizard."

Julia smiled and patted her head as if she was proud of her. Shr smiled along as she watched her slender hand pat her head.

“Julia is really pretty.”

Pal circled Julia, muttering that she liked pretty things. Julia, slightly surprised, smiled when she saw her sparkling hazel eyes.

"Thank you, your arms are prettier."

"No, Julia is prettier. Your hair is like a Princess's, and your voice is like an angel's."

Perhaps because she was a child, she was very honest. Julia was embarrassed by the sudden compliment but also felt happy. The corners of her mouth gradually turned up.

"She's a guy who knows a thing or two."

Endymion, who had been watching Pal with suspicious eyes, spoke with satisfaction. Pal turned his head and approached him slightly.

"Well, this one is pretty too."

"What?"

"But his eyes are so fierce that I don't like him. Julia is lovely though."

"..."

Pal said what it wanted to say and ran away again. Suddenly, Endymion's mouth hardened strangely as he heard both his own infamy and Julia's praise at the same time.

"Can I hold hands with Julia?"

What's so exciting, she asked, looking up with arms wide open. She saw Endymion, who had been attacked unexpectedly, crossing his arms with a pale face.

Julia let out a small laugh and readily offered her hand.

"Sure."

Pal was fond of her and he grabbed her hand. Julia looked around for a place to sit and found a large, flat rock with a few flower petals on it.

"Yes. Let's sit down and talk."

Julia easily put her arms around her and sat her down on the rock. She made a surprised expression when her body floated up, but when Julia sat her down steadily without even wobbling, she exclaimed.

"Wow! Julia is strong too?"

"Yeah. My nephew is about the same age as you, so I hugged him often."

Although she seemed older than Ed, she was about the same weight as her, perhaps because she was a girl. Endymion came up to Julia and said.

"So, whenever that guy sees her, he begs her to hug him."

"Really? You're cute. That's why you hugged me?"

When Julia asked with a chuckle, Endymion avoided her gaze with a hesitant look.

"You didn't hug your one and only nephew in the world?"

How can you be so cruel to such a cute girl!

Julia opened her eyes wide and was about to nag, but Endymion struck her first.

"I see you're here alone. Did you come out of the magic tower alone?"

It was Pal who was definitely interrogating me.

"My nephew is five years old, how can you be so clumsy when it comes to dealing with children?"

Julia, who was always so happy to see Ed, couldn't understand it at all. She thought to herself that there must be a problem, and said it as if it were nothing serious.

"I think I got lost accidentally."

“Yes. That’s right.”

Pal nodded and waved its fingers slightly. Then, delicate snowflakes bloomed from her fingertips and scattered like flower dust.

"I was trying to meet someone, but the path was wrong."

"I see. Then do you want to come back to Magic Tower with us later?"

Julia said kindly as she watched the snowflakes in wonder.

"Good!"

Pal was very happy and shouted excitedly. Then she took Julia's hand again and began to look around.

"Your hands are pretty too. Why are you so pretty? Julia is the prettiest person I've ever seen."

Julia smiled at the endless stream of compliments. The tension melted away as she was overwhelmed by the sincere admiration.

"You pat me again? No one else does, but it feels good when Julia pats my head."

Her arms were dangling, her hair in two parts, and her cute hazel eyes were twinkling.

'No one does this? You're so cute?'

Julia, who thought it was just the typical whining of a childish child, gladly patted her head more. Then she asked absentmindedly.

"How about Magic Tower? Do the adults like it a lot?"

"Ugh, Pal..."

Julia blinked at the calm voice.

'With such a charming personality, even the most indifferent wizards would melt, wouldn't they?'

Julia tilted her head and felt a little sorry. Edgar was always whining and complaining, so she felt sorry for Pal who was staying in this desolate tower.

Then, the horse that was touching her hand and glancing at Endymion came into view.

"Mion, come here and pat the Pal's head."

Julia called Endymion at the right moment. Pal seemed interested, but Endymion seemed to be blunt and seemed to be watching the situation.

"Good!"

As expected, Pal was happy. The sparkling eyes seemed to be the right answer.

Julia winked at Endymion, but he looked uneasy.

"I don't really..."

"What? Come here quickly."

As Julia urged him, Endymion reluctantly approached with brisk steps. However, the angry grin he had already received had already spread.

"Oh, yes. I hate drawings too."

Then he pulled Julia's arm and told her to sit next to him. Julia sat down, looking at the clumsy Endymion.

'I guess I'll have to stick with Ed when I go back.'

She didn't realize that it would be awkward not only for adults but also for children.

Julia followed Endymion, who was leaning against a nearby tree, with her eyes and made an ambitious plan. Meanwhile, her arms began to chatter.

"So I got annoyed and got irritated. Then my baby started crying!"

"Oh, you must be upset. I'll have to comfort you when I get back. Yes?"

“Yeah, okay.”

Pal nodded and answered obediently. Its small face was so cute that Julia wanted to bite it.

"Our baby? I guess you mean the doll!"

Julia thought the imaginative words were too cute to die for. Her purple eyes naturally curved into a warm smile.

Julia muttered to herself, absorbed in the conversation with Pal.

"I think it would be really nice to have a younger sibling like this."

Growing up as an only child, Julia always wished she had a sibling, preferably a younger sibling to follow her around.

Endymion, who had been staring at the two, lightly responded to Julia's dreamy voice.

"The age difference is too big to be considered siblings."

"Oh, really? That's right. I wish there were words like that."

Julia smiled broadly, speaking without thinking. Then, with a deeply absorbed expression, she raised her hand to pat the Pal's head.

At that moment, a large, strong hand came first.

Tap

"Huh?"

Julia blinked in confusion.

'When?'

Before she knew it, Endymion's hand was on top of Pal's head, and her hand was on top of it. Endymion said, stroking Pal's head.

“It’s better than I thought.”

Endymion said, stroking the head of Pal. For some reason, he looked satisfied.

Julia reflexively lowered her hand, but he was still stroking the head of Pal.

"Stroke me more."

Even though she pretended not to like it, Pal was tense as if she was excited. But Endymion did not refuse.

'Why are you suddenly doing that?'

Julia tilted her head to look at the unfamiliar scene. Pal began to chatter, perhaps excited by the number of people showing interest in her.

Endymion, who would normally have been annoyed or ignored her with a cold expression, was silently listening and brushing her hair back.

"Yes?”

"Mmmmmh!"

Although it was closer to ruffling up than stroking.
