IWAEBS - Chapter 84 < Always Praise in Bed >

As I bowed my head like a sinner, Linel put his hand on my knee and laughed.

“You have a talent for making people dizzy in many ways.”

I apologized sincerely to him and then carefully changed the subject.

“But how did you see me throw the knife? It was as fast as the speed of light...”

“I couldn’t see it clearly because you poured wine on my hand, and the chandelier lights suddenly went out. That’s why I was wondering.”

“Really? You didn’t hear that from Commander Macrom?”

“...Macrom know about you too? And he didn’t report it to me? This kid, this isn’t going to work!”

He wiggled his eyebrows excitedly.

“Don’t misunderstand! Commander Macrom knew I was practicing swordsmanship, but he did nothing wrong.”

"What?"

“Actually... I went to the training center a few times, and that’s where we first met.”

“It wasn’t the first time you went with him?”

"Yes."

“What about the bow? Were the arrows that were shot in a mess intentionally?”

I nodded with an awkward expression.

“That’s ridiculous. But Macrom and I met at the training camp warehouse. He didn’t seem to recognize you in the break room today. What happened? Even though Macrom lost his eyesight, he never forgets the energy of someone he’s met once.”

“From the moment I first saw him in the training hall, Commander Macrom thought of me as the newly elected Empress’s bodyguard. So in the warehouse...”

“Ha, so he misunderstood that I was having secret meetings with you? For some reason... He was grumbling really badly that day.”

Linel felt aggrieved as he recalled the cursed prayers that Commander Macrom had poured out upon him.

“He found out that I was the Empress today in the break room. And earlier in the banquet hall, when I threw the knife, the chandelier went out, that’s..."

“Is this Macrom’s doing?”

When I nodded, he burst into laughter.

“You two are such a good match. How long were you two planning to fool me?”

“I was going to tell you soon.”

“When? After you slaughter my vital parts?”

He asked in an angry voice.

“Don’t say such horrible things!”

I unconsciously waved my hands to protect his lower body, but then I came to my senses again.

“I was planning on telling you before the hunting competition. And I didn’t want to break the illusion that Your Majesty likes to be weak and protective.”

It was actually a minor excuse, but somehow, it seemed like the best one to use. But his expression didn't lighten at all.

“My desire to protect you... doesn’t matter whether you are strong or weak.”

He put both hands on my shoulders and spoke seriously.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. All I care about is that you don’t get hurt.”

Linel stroked my hair with affectionate eyes.

“I’m so touched...”

I picked up the mask he had been wearing, which covered half of my face, and I secretly laughed silently.

“Yes, I wish you wouldn’t recklessly step into dangerous situations like the banquet hall just because you’re good at swordsmanship. If that’s the case, it’s better to be weak.”

Linel sighed with a worried look in his eyes and urged.

“I’ll be careful from now on.”

“Yeah. By the way... Why did you put so much perfume on your already soft body?”

He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him, asking.

“I almost poured some perfume on my palm in the bathroom. I didn’t want to throw it away, so I applied it all over my body... Oh, by the way. Your Majesty, where did you come in? I definitely didn’t hear the bedroom door.”

“What kind of crazy assassin would dare come into my bedroom?”

“Then where did you come from?”

“I came in through the bathroom door and came across to the bedroom.”

At Linel's words, I turned my head and looked into the bathroom. The bathroom door was half open.

“What would have happened if I had been taking a bath?”

“You must have gotten soaking wet from the heated fight there.”

“...I guess so.”

“Ha, that’s a relief.”

He whispered, resting his cold forehead against my hot one.

“What is it?”

“I thought you could fly if I blew on it, but you also know how to throw a punch.”

“Are you serious...?”

“Yeah. Well, it wasn’t ordinary from the moment she kicked the Emperor in the mouth.”

He snickered and tapped the bridge of my nose with his index finger.

“I’m good at something other than fists.”

“What is it?”

He asked with a curious look.

"This one."

His ecstatic face was too precious to describe in words, so I kissed his lips repeatedly, kiss, kiss, kiss, and let him know through actions. The corners of his mouth turned up, and he whispered meaningfully to me.

“I’m also good at flying...”

“What is that?”

As soon as I asked, as if he had been waiting, he lifted me up in his arms and threw my body onto the bed.

“Oh my, ahh!”

And then he immediately flew to the bed.

“How can you look so good in an outfit like this?”

I looked up at Linel and felt the dark assassin's garb he was wearing.

“Really? I was surprised when I looked in the mirror too.”

I was momentarily speechless at his confident tone, not shy at all at the compliment on his own appearance.

“Phew.”

I ended up laughing, covering his face with both hands, which looked perfectly fine even if I put on a giant hat.

“Why, what.”

“It’s nothing. I forgot that you live a life so accustomed to compliments.”

“Compliments tend to be a bit exaggerated, but I always hear things as they are, so maybe that’s why I don’t feel anything when I receive compliments.”

“...Oh, that could really be true.”

Even if I wanted to refute it, I had no choice but to admit it when I looked into his face. However, it was just a little bit annoying to hear him say such things. Still, since he didn't look arrogant, I didn't feel much resentment.

“Instead of giving compliments that everyone else knows, give me a compliment that only you know.”

He looked down at me and said,

“Is this Your Majesty’s praise that only I know?”

“Yeah. It’s not a difficult question, is it?”

When he asked me a question that seemed to have the answer already in mind, I opened my eyes and started listing his strengths in my head.

“I need to think about it.”

“Why do I need to think? Oh, there are so many, isn’t it hard to choose?”

"Yes..."

“Tak, if you ask me, I’ll say 'Ah!' and come right out. I know you clearly have one great, unique advantage.”

This man... seemed to have some kind of compliment he wanted to hear. I tapped my temple with my finger and thought deeply.

“You don’t know even though you experience it every day?”

“Me?”

“Then who would experience it? Oh, Raphael might know the gist.”

“What are the good points of Your Majesty that only Raphael and I know...?”

“Can you give me some more hints?”

“Yes, please.”

“Where are we lying now?”

“A bed.”

“Yeah, that’s right.”

Linel nodded vigorously and gave me a look that said, 'I told you all the answers.'

“...Hint, is this the end?”

“How can I give you more hints here? Are you just asking me to show you something outright?”

“Ah! I think I get it.”

I clapped my hands and shouted.

“That’s right. What you’re thinking right now is the answer.”

“Good night!”

“Yeah, huk... what did you say?”

“Your Majesty is sleeping so peacefully. You don’t even snore.”

His expression suddenly sank.

“...Other than deep sleep.”

“Hmm, then that’s it, that’s it.”

Linel raised his upper body again with an expectant expression.

“What kind?”

Now, he said that this was the moment when his true strengths would be revealed, and he puffed out his chest and quickly looked up and down his body.

“That thing that always heats up my body... right?”

“Huh, I think I’m right this time. That makes sense.”

Linel smiled happily and moved his neck greatly.

“Even though I refuse, you keep making me hot...”

“Ahem, I’ll refrain from giving a detailed explanation because it’ll make everyone excited. Just shout out the correct answer.”

But why is this guy so shy? I looked at Linel, blushing in confusion, and then answered him straight away.

"Hot!"

“What... hot? Why are you burning so hot, Empress?”

He said, gritting his teeth. Isn't it?

“Every night when I go to bed, you always cover me with the blanket. Thanks to that, my body gets hot every day. I intentionally sleep without covering myself because my body temperature is high.”

“...Aha, I see, our Empress was really hot. But is covering you with a blanket a compliment?”

He burst into laughter and glared at me with persistent eyes.

“Is that a compliment? You’re very considerate.”

“Consideration? Ha, if the ministers heard that, they would hold their stomachs and laugh, but let’s leave it at that. Isn’t that all? Is this the end?”

When I kept my mouth shut,

“Is that the end of my compliments in bed?”

The look in Linel's eyes as he asked me back was truly bitter.

“Of course, there are others. Compliments that I want to keep to myself and give to myself for the rest of my life.”

I winked back cheerfully. He looked at me with a pleased look, muttering, "Well, that's right."

“But... Do I really have to say it out loud?”

“Yeah, do I really have to hear it out loud?”

He looked down at my hands, which were groping for the clothes he was wearing, and his voice was heavy with a sticky gaze. By the way, how do I take off this assassin's outfit?

“Please promise me instead.”

“I'll do it.”

“Without even hearing what it is?”

“Oh, any promise I can keep by your side.”

My two hands, moved by Linel's words, grabbed the assassin's outfit on both sides and tore it apart. The sound of the clothes tearing echoed throughout the bedroom.

“Huh?”

He opened his eyes wide and glanced down at his bare chest.

“Ah... My hot wife. Just yesterday, her hands were like cosmos, but now she’s showing her true colors.”

“I’m sorry, I sometimes have trouble controlling my strength."

“It’s okay. Since I'm wearing an assassin’s outfit, it would be right to take off my clothes as if you were going to kill me. Good job, good job.”

Linel looked down at his half-torn shirt and spoke calmly.

“Then I guess I’ll just tear it apart, unless you’re going to pursue a life as an assassin as a hobby.”

“As much as you want. Just don’t tear my heart. Tear anything else. Now, it’s time to use that power you’ve been hiding.”

I took his advice and tore the rest of the shirt to pieces.

“But... I have to continue what I was going to say. What is it that I want to praise only you for the rest of my life...?”

He asked, throwing off his torn shirt.

“I wish I could be the only one who knew how passionate and loving a man Your Majesty is. I don’t want other women to know.”

“Is it okay if another man knows?”

“Oh my, you’re really good at joking. Hahaha.”

Thud thud thud-! I burst out laughing at Linel's mischievous joke and punched him in the chest.

“Ugh, now that your true nature has been revealed, you’re going to hit me so openly and indiscriminately? Before, you used to hit me so hard that I felt like I was tickling a feather.”

Oops, I lost control of my strength because I was so tense.

"Sorry."

“Is it like this when you’re in love?”

“Huh? What is that...”

“I wonder if it will be different when we share love than before.”

His blue eyes became deeper and more profound.

“Are you curious?”

“Yeah. Can we satisfy that curiosity now? And this, too...”

Linel untied my bathrobe and pressed his body against mine. The night began where I could fully experience his strengths.

“Zelda... In bed, I’ll always... do things that deserve praise.”

His determination, heard through his light breathing, sounded like it was rushing towards me.

“Wow, that’s awesome.”

There was no need for further explanation. I closed my eyes and raised my thumb.

***

“Moiya, are you sure nothing really happened at the banquet hall?”

Rosie kept asking the same question for ten minutes.

“How many times have I said that? I told you nothing happened.”

Moiya answered mechanically with blank eyes. It wasn’t a lie. If Rosie had asked, “Are you sure nothing happened?” Moiya would have confessed, “There was something.” However, from Moiya’s perspective, what happened at the temple building support... was really nothing, so she confidently said yes. Rosie had been asking the same question, and Moiya had been giving the same answer for an hour already.

Before going to the banquet hall, Rosie’s memory ended when she left the residence after telling Moiya, who had been throwing a tantrum, that she absolutely could not take him. When she came to, it was night, and she was in her bedroom. On top of that, her face was strangely flushed, and her heart was beating fast. She wasn’t sure, but it felt like she had experienced something tremendous tonight and then came out of it.

Rosie couldn’t shake off this eerie feeling even after taking a bath.

“You, tell me straight. What on earth did you do at the banquet hall and come back from there?”

“You just ate a lot of delicious food and chatted with Her Majesty the Empress. Oh, come to think of it, you even danced.”

“Hey, I danced? With who?!”

For Rosie, who was well aware of her dancing skills, it was the sound of her legs shaking.

“Don’t worry. You don’t have the skills to dance with anyone, so you just danced alone in the corner.”

“Has anyone seen...?”

“One person.”

“Oh, who is that!”

“Meow?”

“I didn’t call you. Go away.”

Rosie waved her hand at the approaching kitten, thinking it was calling his name. But Aoshi was already rolling around at her feet and acting cute.

“Who the hell saw my dance? No, did you see my dance?!”

Moiya hesitated for a moment at Rosie's nagging before opening her mouth.

“Prince Norton.”

“Oh, no!!”

Rose screamed, bending forward and grabbing her hair with both hands.

“Ow! Rosie, shouldn’t you be pulling out your hair already?”

The important thing was that Moiya hadn't even said it yet.
