THIBV - Chapter 139

Millea told the whole truth.

Julian was silent for a while.

He couldn't figure out which of the countless emotions that were rushing in, which he should hold on to and which he should let go, or what face he should make.

Julian, who had been holding his breath for a long time, chose anger.

He got up and looked for his sword.

"Your Majesty. Where are you going?"

"We must find the Florence family."

"What's next after finding it?"

"What are you asking? I have to kill them."

The magi spread from Julian like ink dyeing his surroundings black.

Even Millea, who couldn't see it, felt the change in air density on her skin.

Her whole body felt tingly as if electricity was flowing from all directions and her breathing was rapid.

"And then?"

"Later."

He couldn't think that far.

Julian was seething with the thought that he had to see the blood of the real culprit who had sold him out right away.

Dare.

You drove me to death and hid behind Bridget?

Millea looked at the coldly burning Julian and said,

"I have the Florence family with me, Your Majesty."

"Good job. Guide me."

"To save them."

Julian, who was about to leave the office, looked back at Millea.

"What?"

"Think about it. They are Bridget's brother and mother. They are blood family."

"So? Are you saying that we should forgive them for that reason?"

Julian burst out laughing in amazement.

"You're talking nonsense, Millea. It's not like you.

"Your Majesty. I understand your pain. I was the one who hid you and saved you from the attack of assassins and the death of Tour Majesty. When I think of that day, my teeth grind and my blood boils."

"That's right. You understand me. You saw the days I spent in pain. You know how I struggled. So how can you stop me?"

Julian's eyes burned red.

The originally red pupils were now bloodshot and boiling with blood.

The anger contained within summoned magi.

A tremendous amount of magi, which would have seemed like a disaster if Bridget had seen it, filled the office with acrid energy, crashing down like an angry wave.

If the magi had physical power, not only the office but the entire central palace might have been swept away and collapsed.

If Millea had seen that overwhelming sight with her own eyes, she would not have been able to endure it and would have run away.

But she didn't run away but met Julian's angry gaze. It was possible because of her ignorance.

"I'm not asking you to forgive him. I'm doing this for Your Majesty and Bridget. How can Bridget accept the lover who killed her brother and mother?"

"Bridget said she resented them."

Julian sneered at her, his eyes still sparkling with anger.

"Now that I think about it, I understand.
A torn family picture. Bridget's words as she says she feels suffocated because of her family."

But Bridget shook her head at the offer to kill them.

As the thought came to mind, Julian shook his head to disperse the thought.

"I have to kill them. I can't let those bastards eat away at Bridget like leeches just because they're her blood. For Bridget's sake, I have to kill them."

They were shameless people who tried to blame everything on Bridget and survive on their own.

"Just think about why Bridget kept it a secret all this time, Your Majesty."

"She must have been threatened."

"Is Bridget someone who would be threatened? It was Bridget's will."

“Millea!”

Julian screamed and pulled out his sword.

"Do you want to die first?"

Julian, who had lost his senses, heard nothing.

He placed his sword under Millea's neck.

"Give them to me."

"Your Majesty."

"Hurry."

Millea kept Josh and Lauren locked away in a place where no one could find them.

They thought it was Nigel's doing.

They were unable to repay their debts, so they thought they had been dragged away somewhere along with Chloe, and were trapped helplessly, unable to fight back.

They were kept under strict control within the fence of Millea.

Even if it was Julian, he wouldn't have been able to find them without getting past her.

"Wouldn't I want to kill them?"

Millea lifted her chin and squeezed her eyes shut.

A teardrop fell.

"They are the ones who conspired against the life of Your Majesty, who is like my own child. I also want to tear them apart and kill them."

The tears reached the tip of the sword.

Julian gritted his teeth. He looked slightly agitated.

"Therefore..."

"But Your Majesty loves Bridget. You love her so much. You forgive and accept her even when you think she is a traitor."

"..."

"That's why I'm stopping it. If I don't stop it now, Your Majesty will end up unhappy."

Why?

Julian didn't understand.

Why does killing them make me unhappy?

"Bridget would be distressed and remorseful if she saw you. That's the kind of person you are. Don't you see?"

What Julian didn't know was that it wasn't Bridget.

It was Brigitte who did not understand the natural order that she could not let go of.

"Bridget will understand me."

"Your Majesty..."

"Because she loves me. Because she loves me more than those trashy people."

Millea shook her head.

Julian was moved.

"I won't say it again. Hand it over."

"I can't."

"Hand it over!!"

Lightning struck.

Millea felt something powerful and unknown weighing her down, and she collapsed, suffocating.

"Huh!"

Then Bridget burst through the door and came running in.

“Millea!”

Bridget quickly purified the surrounding magi. The space that had been briefly emptied was instantly filled with magi again, but it helped clear Millea's breathing.

Millea gasped for breath and coughed.

But she waved her hand as if telling Bridget to go out.

She told Bridget not to come because she thought it would only make Julian even more angry.

Millea was even more anxious because of Bridget who had come looking for her.

But Bridget couldn't help but step forward.

How could she protect myself in her bedroom alone when she saw the storm of magic engulfing the entire central palace after leaving her office?

Bridget turned and knelt before Julian.

"Please, Julian."

But what can she say?

She was afraid that he would go wild a gain.

But is she in a position to tell them to calm down?

Or can she condone the death of her family?

She can't even ask him to forgive her.

She just wanted to die and disappear at this moment.

Bridget kept pleading.

"Please."

"Get up, Bridget."

Julian stood there with his sword hanging down, looking down at Bridget, who had her head bowed.

"Get up."

Bridget was enduring the waves of magi swirling before her eyes with her whole body.

Kookookookook!

Even though Magi was moving without a sound, It seemed like there was a tremendous roar in her ears.

She was hallucinating because her brain couldn't process that something heavy and oppressive was swirling around without making a sound.

Bridget closed her eyes as she watched the waves of magi wash over her.

'It's not real. It's not real.'

But she knew it, and when she faced it with her bare body, she was so scared that her body started shaking.

"Wake up!"

Bridget just shook her head with her eyes tightly shut.

"Just let them live... If you give them a life, I will be grateful, even if you sell them into slavery or banish them. Please just let them live..."

The fists on her knees were shaking so much that she couldn't support her upper body.

Bridget stumbled several times.

Clang!

Julian dropped his sword.

He knelt down in front of Bridget and sat facing her.

"You how could you be like this..."

"Please."

"How could you do this to me!"

Julian's screams tore at her heart.

Blood flowed from his lower lip. But he felt no pain.

Physical pain cannot overcome mental pain.

Julian grabbed Bridget's shoulders and screamed, then dropped his forehead on her knees.

"You love me."

"I'm sorry, Julian."

"Why did you protect those who tried to kill me?"

"I was wrong..."

"Don't apologize."

"It's my fault... It's all my fault."

Julian buried his face in Bridget's lap and cried.

"....!!"

He was going crazy wondering what on earth was her fault and why she was blaming herself.

Are you saying that Bridget herself is the culprit?

Does that mean that meeting him was a mistake?

Does that mean they regret even their happy times?

What on earth was her apology about?

In response to his frustration, anger, and murder, black knights leaped out of the shadows, filling the inside and outside of the office.

Julian thought that if he continued like this, he would lose his sight and kill both Bridgrt and Millea.

He raised his body that had been bent down.

"I really can't trust you anymore, Bridget. Get out of here."

Julian, who had gathered the black knights, chased the two out of the office.
