IARMDH - Chapter 112

Go and create a new life today.

I almost died of embarrassment when I heard that while sitting next to Erne.

I've been misunderstood as having children before, but the suggestion to have children was embarrassing on a whole other level.

“You didn’t scratch it again when you washed it, did you? If you keep doing this, it’ll really get ugly.”

But was it just me who was concerned about that? I swallowed dryly as I watched Erne come in wearing only a bathrobe.

“Why, why are you walking around naked?”

“Leave a change of clothes behind and go.”

Erne didn't seem to mind. In fact, this kind of thing happened often when I shared a room with him.

It wasn't just Erne who had something to say; I would also come into the room wearing a bathrobe if I left my pajamas in the room.

'But is this normal?'

No, is this right? Things that I had taken for granted before and never thought of as strange kept coming to mind.

“Well, open it carefully and take a look.”

Yes, let's say you could walk around in a bathrobe for a hundred reasons. But you'd have to make sure the robe was properly closed so that your underwear wasn't visible.

“How much better does it open here?”

I coughed in vain and opened the collar of my pajamas at Erne's questioning gaze.

He naturally took the ointment out of the drawer and approached the bed. He sat down next to me and I could smell the faint scent of soap. The same soap scent as mine.

It was only natural since we used the same soap, but today it felt very strange that Erne smelled the same as me.

“Dry your hair well. Do you want to catch a cold here?”

Erne gathered my hair and pushed it over my opposite shoulder. At first, he seemed to have a hard time with the long hair that kept falling back even when he pushed it behind my ear, but now he was very skilled at organizing the hair.

“What are you doing? I need to apply some medicine.”

As I watched quietly, Erne put the ointment down on the bed and reached into my pajamas.

“Should I unbutton your buttons now?”

No, wait, isn't that a bit harsh? I quickly shook my head and unbuttoned my nightgown with my own hands.

Erne was on the bed, wearing a robe, and I was unbuttoning my nightgown in front of him. This was also equally embarrassing.

'Why not take advantage of this atmosphere and try to solve your problems?'

There's no need to change locations, there's a reason if I just throw it down on the bed like this...

'No, no, what are you thinking? I followed Sir Henry for no reason and only heard strange things. This is why you shouldn't do things you wouldn't normally do.'

My mouth went dry as I unbuttoned my button and slightly exposed my left shoulder. They say that problems can only be solved by giving birth to a new life, but who else but Erne Rhineland?

Would you do something like that with a guy who doesn't even have a decent job?

'But the genes are excellent.'

If you inherited Erne's blood, you didn't have to worry about your appearance.

'In this day and age, even appearance is a competitive advantage.'

If my baby inherits that kind of gangster-like personality, it could be a bit of a problem.

In addition to that, Erne has been helpful in many ways. Although he doesn't actively try to engage in economic activities, he helps me with my commute to and from work, and being around me gives me psychological stability.

Because he wasn't like that, he cleaned well and was secretly good at cooking. He ate and washed the dishes right away. At first, he had a hard time controlling his strength, but the hands that tended to my wounds became more delicate day by day.

'Once a child is born, one person won't be able to work anyway.'

I think he'll grumble, but he'll take good care of the baby.

If Erne stays at home and takes care of the kids and I go out and earn money, it's a good fit for us both and it's perfect... What's the big deal?

'Am I crazy, really? What am I thinking?'

A future I had never dreamed of in my life. I closed my eyes tightly at the thought that was so unfamiliar to me even to imagine.

'Think healthy, think healthy.'

As I tried to imagine a chest full of gold coins, Erne whispered in my ear. I shivered at the feeling of Erne's breath brushing my earlobe.

“Take off your clothes a little more. They keep coming up and you’ll get medicine on them.”

“What, what did you say?”

“Take off your clothes a little more. The medicine is too diluted and keeps dripping down.”

I swallowed hard and pulled down my clothes. However, Erne, who was not satisfied with that, grabbed my collar and pulled my clothes down.

“If this continues, even my arms will be visible!”

“Why are you doing this all of a sudden?”

What's wrong with showing your arms? What do you mean by arms? Erne's face showed that he couldn't understand my overreaction.

“Haven’t you seen all of my arms? You’ve seen other places besides my arms, so why are you like this?”

Did you just look? How hard did you touch it? I muttered in anger as Erne nagged me.

“That’s because I’ve been seeing it since Erne’s corpse.”

So, what's that? If you saw the corpse, you could just touch it?

“You’re talking about seeing a corpse as if you’ve seen it since you were a baby. Stop talking nonsense and just be quiet.”

Erne applied ointment to the tip of his ring finger and carefully applied it to my wound. The swelling had gone down and the sharp bite mark had faded, but there was still a scab on it because I had scratched it so often.

'Lionel, that kid died too easily.'

Every time he saw the distinct bite marks on the slender neck, Erne regretted not having bitten Lionel himself. Of course, that would have only solidified the rumor that he was a mad dog.

Every time he saw Judith's wounds, Erne felt suffocated. He felt angry, worried that it would get worse, and then wondered if it was his fault.

Because Judith scratched her wound out of habit, Erne would wake up from time to time to check Judith's neck while sleeping. Judith, who always slept oblivious to the world, would never know.

“I guess I won’t have to bandage it anymore.”

“Wow, I feel alive now.”

Judith couldn't stand the bandages. It was hard for Judith, who didn't even wear a scarf in the middle of winter, let alone a dress that came up high enough to cover her neck.

“Let’s wipe up the spilled medicine.”

He held out a clean cloth. While Judith took it and wiped the thin ointment that had run down her collarbone, Erne closed the ointment cap and stood up.

Not even realizing that the hem of his bathrobe was caught in Judith's palm.

The gown, roughly tied with strings, was completely torn open by Judith's pressure and Erne's effort to get up.

To prevent any mishaps, Erne quickly grabbed the hem of her gown.

"Ah..."

Then, the gown that had been lying under her hand was pulled towards Erne, causing Judith to lose her balance and fall down on the bed, staggering.

“Are you okay?”

Erne bent down towards Judith, who had fallen onto the bed. Erne, with his gown untied, looked down at her on the bed.

Judith's mouth went dry and her heart pounded at the strange composition.

Judith's eyes, which had been wandering in vain thoughts, began to show an impure aura, and her words flowed out without any filter.

“Ah... It’s happening.”

Is it happening today? Is that so? Will my worries be resolved like this?

“It’s still difficult.”

I'm not mentally prepared.

Judith muttered. Erne did not want to understand what she was saying. But unfortunately, Erne understood what she was saying perfectly.

Is this guy going to... do it with me now? He wrapped his bathrobe tightly around himself to hide his burning neck.

“... I’m in more trouble, I’m in more trouble. Instead of talking nonsense, go to sleep, Miss Harrington.”

He lifted Judith's legs from under the bed and pulled the quilt up to the top of her neck.

'The psychic is talking nonsense and making the kid even weirder.'

Erne shook his head, saying that he had been caught by a swindler, but the medium was truly brave. A new life had been born for them. A child that Judith would be very happy about.

***

“Our incense and candles, they are so great.”

The female donkey gave birth to a foal. She must have been busy carrying incense, but when did she do such a wonderful thing?

Judith smiled broadly as she fed the donkeys. She had been quiet, but her wealth had increased.

“That medium wasn’t talking nonsense.”

Erne muttered to himself as he watched the donkey eating its food. Even though it was just a donkey foal, it had been given new life and Judith was happy.

“What should I name my baby when he is born?”

Judith squatted before the basket of incense and candles, watching with pleasure as the donkeys ate the fodder.

“Since it is a child of incense, should we call it Incense together?”

Erne shook his head at Judith's continued naming sense.

“They might get confused because they think the Incense and the candles are calling them. And when they have more babies later, what are you going to name them?”

“A little Little scent?”

Erne said very firmly that that was absolutely not the case.

“Then how about we name our candles after their scents? Lavender, rose, rosemary.”

“Yeah, that was pretty normal.”

“But once that donkey is born, we have to find a mate for it. So what should we name the new donkey we buy?”

Judith was delighted at the thought of increasing the number of donkeys.

“Give the incense a name that goes well with the donkey’s name.”

They weren't even born yet, and she was already looking for a mate. Erne was amazed at Judith's way of thinking, but he didn't want to disturb her pleasant imagination.

So, he blurted out whatever came to his mind to give it a proper rhythm.

“What scents go well together?”

That seemed to be some kind of hint to Judith.

“Yes, lavender and rosemary scents go really well together.”

Judith muttered, her eyes sparkling.

“...Mixing incense!”
