THIBV - Chapter 52

Bridget left the hut and looked around.

'If it's inside the palace, I can see it.'

As expected, a building surrounded by magic appeared a little distance away.

It was an empty, unused building.

When I entered the building through the fog of magic, the interior was empty with only traces of the ornate decorations remaining.

There were many places like this in the palace.

There were small palaces that could be given to long-term state guests, the King's grown-up Princes or Princesses, friends, etc.

I stepped into a place that was now uninhabited and full of dust.

There were no obstacles so the sound of footsteps resonated like a clap, clap.

I headed straight for Julian without hesitation.

Magi became my guide.

Julian gathers magi.

The day the two first met, I had seen it and found Julian.

At that time, Julian was hiding in a warehouse in a private house, being chased by assassins.

I, who had never seen such trick magic before, saw a gathering in one place, went there out of curiosity, and found Julian.

Julian was bleeding profusely and was dying.

Just like now.

"Julian...!"

As soon as I opened the large door at the end of the hallway, I covered my mouth at the sight that unfolded.

Julian appeared, lying precariously on the ground, with the smell of blood wafting through his veins.

Magi was eating away at his body.

A multitude of black hands stretched out from the ground and the walls, grasping him.

They were the hands of the magi, disguised in a disgusting and horrifying form.

Julian writhes in pain under the magical bonds.

"Ugh...!"

Red blood poured out of his teeth.

"Oh my God! Julian, Julian...!"

I ran through the masses of magi toward Julian.

The black hands screamed, trying to grab onto me.

'Magi can't have any physical effect!'

But these had some power.

Is it because they are packed so densely?

The hair I had worked so hard to style was disheveled and the dress I had prepared was soaked in blood.

But I didn't hesitate.

"Go away!"

Shuaaak!

With my scream, light burst out from my body.

It was a dim light.

But the light was bright enough among the hands of the magi that filled the entire area with pitch blackness, not allowing even a single ray of light to enter.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk.

Startled hands writhed wildly like earthworms on a heated rock.

I cursed and pushed them into a corner, then hugged Julian.

The light that came out of her body surrounded Julian.

Only then did Julian recognize me.

"Go."

Julian panting in agony, managed to speak.

Even in his pain, he was determined not to show me this miserable sight.

"Go away."

"No, I'm not going, I'm not going anywhere, I won't leave you anymore."

"Get out!"

Julian's pupils dilated greatly as he shouted more fiercely.

"Ugh! Cough!"

Black blood poured onto my dress along with clumps of blood.

"Julian. Ah, Julian..."

I wanted to do something.

But there was nothing I could do.

I could only watch Julian with tears in my eyes.

At that moment, his body, which had been struggling in pain, collapsed limply in my arms.

"Julian?"

I hurriedly wiped away the tears that were clouding my vision.

The blood from my hands spread across my cheeks and forehead, but I didn't even notice it.

I put my fingers on Julian's neck and brought my ear to his mouth.

Fortunately, he was breathing.

I grabbed Julian's hand, shaking with fear.

As if I was desperately trying to hold on to even a handful of life that seemed like it would slip away from him at any moment.

I knew he was dying.

But just knowing and seeing it in person were two different things.

It was shocking.

I had seen those hands made of clumps of magi before.

They also stuck to Julian, who came to see me before I died.

I thought it was miserable even then.

I didn't know things would have progressed this far by now.

"I thought you were still okay. I thought you were holding up well, I'm sorry, Julian. I'm sorry."

Even though it wasn't anyone's fault, the words 'I'm sorry' just come out naturally.

I felt sorry that I didn't know about his pain.

How much has he endured?

It must have been like this, hiding in a place no one knew about, whenever pain came.

Were you suffering alone every night when you didn't return to your bedroom, every time you suddenly disappeared and no one knew where you were?

I hugged Julian and sobbed.

At that moment, Julian's hand covered the back of my hand.

"Juli... huft!"

He pulled me toward him.

The upper body fell forward and the lips of the two people briefly overlapped and then parted.

I, who was bewildered, looked down at Julian.

Julian's bloodshot eyes were clouded.

'I'm not in my right mind.'

The moment we thought that our altitudes reversed.

Julian, who had already taken the upper hand by knocking me down, looked down at me from above.

The unfocused eyes were not looking at me.

He was just moving as his instinct told him to.

"I feel strange when I'm with you."

"Is it bad?"

"On the contrary, I feel an ecstatic feeling I've never felt before. Why is that?"

Julian was searching for a sensation that would make him so ecstatic that he would forget his pain.

"Wake up, Julian..."

It was clear that he couldn't hear anything.

I tried to push Julian away, but my strength was too weak to overcome his.

'Like a rock.'

He didn't move at all.

He lowered his head and rubbed his forehead against the side of my face.

He had already stopped crying, but the tears that had been forming in his eyes flowed down and fell on my forehead.

The skin that was touched was hot.

No, his whole body was hot.

"Good..."

A low, rumbling murmur reached my earlobe.

A chill ran down the back of my neck, perhaps because of the hot breath or because the air that touched that spot where the breath passed suddenly felt cold.

He felt my hot cheek as he buried his face between my neck and collarbone.

"I feel good..."

"Julian, wait..."

I shuddered.

The feeling of Julian's lips pressing against my collarbone was strange.

Kiss, kiss.

It felt like his lips had been stamped with a character, and every spot they touched felt hot.

As I swallowed dry saliva without realizing it, he licked my throbbing throat.

"Oh!"

My body kept trembling and shaking.

I could feel his weight on me.

It seemed like he wanted to be as close to me as possible.

It was a movement of trying to get closer to the source of the light emanating from my body, to reach a larger area.

'I need to come to my senses.'

But how?

After struggling in his arms for a while, I realized that I could not push him away with any strength.

Then.

I put my arms around Julian's neck.

Then Julian instinctively raised his head slightly.

I titled my head slightly and pressed my lips to his.

Julian's body flinched.

The sharp scent of blood that lingered in his mouth passed through my throat as if scratching it.

As soon as I did that, the sensation of a soft, moist tongue rushed in.

I licked his tongue and ran it across the roof of his mouth.

Sometimes I would suck in his lower lips to stimulate it, and sometimes I would wrap his tongue around it.

It was a pretty rough kiss.

Breathing also became rough.

"Hmm."

A nasal sound leaked out from between the interlocked kiss, whose name I couldn't identify.

After holding and kissing Julian like that for a while, I noticed that his movement had stopped.

As I parted my lips, a long string of saliva formed.

"Haaa, ha..."

"..."

Red pupils were revealed through the closed eyelids.

Julian was looking at me with clear eyes.

His face was blank as if he had lost his mind.

But that was only for a moment, as his expression distorted and his body collapsed.

"Ugh!"

"Julianm are you okay? Julian!"

The pain that he had pushed aside a moment, giving in to his instinct, came rushing back at him as soon as he came to his senses.

"Julian, Julian!"

"Right now, I'm holding on to my sanity, to stay still..."

Actually, he wanted to tell her not to cry.

He wanted to reassure her that it was okay.

But he couldn't say a single word he wanted to.
