HTMSAE - Chapter 17 < I, the Lord >

This break room was originally two large rooms that were turned into one space.

They must have come to have a secret meeting, so he planned to quietly leave through the opposite door while they were distracted.

As expected, the two men and women entered the room and started to touch each other messily before the door was even closed. Carson thought it was a very fortunate thing that he had chosen to turn off all the lights in the room.

A wet and sticky noise continued, and the two fell onto the sofa, their bodies overlapping.

Then as if they had discovered something, both men and women stopped moving at the same time.

“It seems like someone was here.”

The man said, looking at the glass that Carson had left on the table, but the woman started kissing him again as if telling him not to worry.

“Just a moment.”

However, he seemed anxious, so he pulled away from her, sat down on the sofa, and looked around. Then the woman climbed onto the man’s body.

“It’s okay. Don’t stop.”

“But why did you drink so much?”

The man, who seemed to be of lower status than the woman, spoke politely. The woman, breathing heavily, spoke sharply to the man.

“You’re making me feel bad. So stop talking and concentrate. Do you have the presence of mind to say something like that right now?”

However, the man was unable to concentrate despite the woman’s urging and kept looking around. And the moment he turned his head completely to the left, Carson was able to see who the man was.

It was the escort knight who had just moments ago been desperately appealing to Ines about his longing for her. However, the person he was holding in his hand right now was not the object of that longing.

For a moment, an inexplicable unpleasantness ran down the back of his neck, but he soon regained his senses.

It was not a matter for him to get involved in.

As the clamor of the two grew louder, Carson turned his gaze to the door to leave the room. Even if there was a little noise, the man and woman who were in a state of ecstasy would not hear it anyway.

However, his steps did not go as planned. It was because of a woman who cautiously entered through the door he was about to leave through. He recognized her right away, even in the darkness.

Ha, only then did Carson realize that the man Ines had said she could kill might be the man currently rolling around on the sofa with another woman.

'Was it love after all? Then it wouldn't be unreasonable to want to kill him.'

Carson stopped trying to leave and hid further behind the curtains that stretched from the pillar to the window. If he moved now, he had to let her know that he was there. For some reason, he didn't want her to know that he had seen Ines' miserable moment.

Ines, who had entered the room, moved quite nimbly. The more she did, the more awkward Carson became.

She carefully moved her feet to find a place where the two could be seen well. And she began to slowly creep into the place where Carson was hiding.

Carson watched Ines backing up toward him, and for a moment, he was deeply troubled about what to do. He hadn't brought this situation on himself, but he felt like a soldier whose paths of escape were blocked.

At that moment, the woman sitting on Joseph's lap jerked her head back. So Carson could also tell that the red-haired woman was Count Graham’s daughter. And that Ines couldn’t help but see this scene he was seeing.

She came closer and closer to him. If she took just half a step back, she would know of his presence. Carson, who could no longer watch the situation, reached out with both hands and covered Ines’ eyes and mouth at the same time.

She froze in place, her shoulders sharpening in shock. If she had screamed, he would have just carried her and run out of the room, but fortunately, he was able to prevent her from screaming.

In that brief moment, Carson came up with various hypotheses about how he should introduce himself.

Should he call himself Carson, or the Prince, or Count Raymond? He couldn’t help but ponder deeply over how he should say it so that she would react most gently.

He soon made his decision and whispered right into her ear.

“I, the lord.”

But something strange happened.

As soon as he finished speaking, the tension that had made Ines' shoulders rise up suddenly disappeared.

Ines leaned against him as if his body were the softest and most comfortable chair made of the finest silk from the small country of Yamanta.

Then she let out a deep sigh. Startled, Carson quickly took his hand away from her mouth.

Ines moved her arm gropingly and entangled her fingers with the back of his hand that was covering her eyes. She thought she would soon remove his hand from her eyes, but she stopped.

At that moment, the wet, sharp voice of the woman rolling around on the sofa was heard.

"Why are you like this today?"

The man’s answer was not heard despite the question that seemed to be a slap in the face. Only the rough and unpleasant sound of breathing filled the lounge.

“We should stop now.”

“What do you mean?”

“We can’t go on like this... all the way.”

“You’re talking like a real knight, don’t be boring.”

The woman agreed with the man’s words, as she got up from him. Then, they sat down next to each other on the sofa. Her white shoulders continued to shake as if her excitement hadn’t subsided yet.

“Did you have a good conversation when you met her?”

“...”

“What did she say, does she like it?”

“...Yes, she said she was happy.”

“What was your answer?”

“I decided to send a proposal as soon as I was given the title of Baron, so the result won’t be different anyway. You know better than anyone how much Ines likes me.”

Listening to their conversation, Carson thought that these three might be in a relationship that was more than just love.

He unconsciously tightened the hand that covered Ines’ eyes. He felt a strange regret that he should have covered her ears instead of her eyes.

At that moment, she patted his hand and comforted him instead. As if she was trying to put a very angry child to sleep. When Carson naturally let go of his hand, Ines dug deeper into his arms.

He froze in surprise, but her tension was completely natural.

Meanwhile, Ines listened to the conversation between the two, hoping and hoping that some kind of clue would come out. Besides, she had her safety behind her, so she couldn’t ask for anything more.

Like a believer who is nervous in an uncertain situation where she can’t see even an inch ahead, digging into the merciful embrace of God, Ines unconsciously kept pressing her body against him.

“Yeah, I guess I can’t object now. That woman is actually quite smart. Her face looked pretty even today, so I can understand why you’re so anxious. Is that why you made that suggestion?”

“...”

“But things got complicated?”

“Complicated?”

Joseph’s voice, which had been silent at the mention of the problem, rang out in a rather impatient tone.

“You heard earlier. The Swenden family will no longer be involved in Lesonia’s affairs.”

“What does that have to do with our affairs?”

“I don’t know, because my father’s work is always complicated.”

“Where is the Count now?”

“He’s probably in the carriage heading to the capital.”

“You mean he’s going to the imperial palace?”

“Yes. He’ll take some time to get there and back, so he told you to hurry up and get married as soon as your title issue is resolved.”

“But you still promise that we’ll be married for at least six months, right?”

The woman laughed hysterically at his words.

“Just attack me right now. What are you waiting for when you’re so impatient?”

“How can I do that when I can’t even meet you, besides, she seems to be very cautious these days...”

“What did she notice?”

“She’s not the kind of woman who would do that.”

Ines was taken aback by Joseph’s words, but his words were true. At that time, Ines really didn’t know anything.

“Father seemed quite anxious, but nothing much will change. Isn’t it easier to arrange things if Swenden is part of Lesonia?”

“...”

“Father said that Prince Carson has an incredible sense of money. That’s why he’s in a hurry.”

“The smell of money?”

“I don’t know the details. But I do know this one thing. You’re the one who’s having the most fun with this. Not only did you, a commoner, become a knight of the Count’s family, but you can also have the body of the Count’s daughter like this.”

"I don’t know if I can be this relaxed right now.”

"Don’t worry about it. Landhill will be integrated into Lesonia anyway.”

“But it’s not certain, is it?”

“You don’t trust our family right now?”

Joseph’s mouth closed as the woman asked sharply. But her voice quickly softened.

“Just think of good things. If you wait a little longer, you’ll soon be able to touch every nook and cranny of that pretty girl’s body with your own hands.”

Joseph couldn't stand it anymore and let out a groan.

"You got a Baron's title without doing anything, and now you're going to be a Viscount."

Young Lady Graham rubbed her body hard as she spat out the words harshly.

"If you had just stayed still earlier, wouldn't this have been over already? No one has come in until now, so who would?"

"But I don't feel like doing that right now."

“Are you telling me to please you?”

Joseph began to move his body little by little at the woman’s shouting. Carson found the situation that followed difficult to endure in many ways. The dirty scene unfolding before his eyes was enough to make him feel bad.

What about this innocent woman leaning completely against his body? The side profile of the woman that he glimpsed briefly seemed like she was watching a passionate opera.

“Joseph, are you nervous?”

“No.”

Carson, who had only two hands to listen to the unpleasant noise that followed, had no choice but to cover both of her ears. Ines seemed to have obediently left everything to him no matter what he did. Of course, covering her ears did not mean that she could not completely hear their conversation.
